Liberal Outlet Leaves Out Leftist Group’s Ties To Dark Money As It Attacks Supreme Court

An article on a leftist group’s multimillion dollar push to target the Supreme Court from Politico neglected to mention the group’s ties to dark money groups, characterizing it as a progressive “court reform” group.  The article from reporter Heidi Przybyla discussed Demand Justice’s move to spend $10 million to conduct “opposition research on potential Supreme Court picks” and “work to mobilize key constituencies affected by the court’s decisions.” The financial campaign amid a series of conservative wins at the court in recent weeks — including key decisions clawing back the administrative state and ruling in favor of presidential immunity for official actions.  In her article on the spending blitz, Przyblya did not mention how Demand Justice has a history of being backed by dark money groups. Demand Justice was first established as a project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a leftist dark money network administered by Left-wing group Arabella Advisors. Due the their structure, the groups funders are able to remain anonymous.  The group broke off from Sixteen Thirty Fund and registered as a nonprofit corporation in May 2021. Przyblya, who previously went viral for suggesting it was an extremist belief to say rights come from God, left out these ties in her write up on the article.  Conservative radio host Erik Erickson ripped into Przyblya over the article, saying that she was she is “clearly a leftwing hack doing the work of the left to undermine American institutions” and writing a “press release” for Demand Justice.  Przyblya’s article also took aim at the Federalist Society, accusing board co-chair Leonard Leo of leading a “deep-pocketed network of ultraconservative judicial activists.” The Federalist Society is a network of lawyers, law students, and legal scholars who want to promote the principles of limited government. Leo told The Daily Wire that the spending campaign was the latest move to try to target the Supreme Court.  “Arabella’s dark money network has announced it will be spending another $10M to bully the Supreme Court it hates and try to distract from a dying Biden campaign,” he said. “More evidence that the conservative legal movement is winning and that we’ve delivered tremendous value to our country.” Conservative government accountability group Americans for Public Trust said that the money would be used to smear the court.  “The liberal dark money machine is working overtime as @WeDemandJustice spends $10 million to attack and smear the Supreme Court,” the group posted on X. “REMINDER: Demand Justice, now an independent group, was originally incubated by the @ArabellaAdvisornetwork, and is still  heavily funded by Sixteen Thirty Fund and George Soros.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Demand Justice’s campaign against the court comes as many Democrats, including President Joe Biden, have lashed out against the Supreme Court, accusing of it being filled with extremists. “This decision today has continued the court’s attack in recent years on a wide range of long established legal principles in our nation,” Biden said on Monday after the Supreme Court sided with Trump on his immunity claims. “From gutting voting rights and civil rights to away a woman’s right to choose to today’s decision that undermines the rule of law of this nation.”

Pro-Lifer Targeted By Biden Admin Sentenced To Prison

Pro-lifer Cal Zastrow has been sentenced to six months in prison over his participation in a peaceful protest at a Tennessee abortion facility March 2021. Zastrow was sentenced by Judge Aleta Trauger on Wednesday in federal court in Nashville. Trauger sentenced him to six months in prison and three years of supervised release. She did not impose a fine on him. He must self report to prison by October 1. When given a chance to speak, Zastrow spoke of his Christian faith and how it drove him to advocate for unborn babies. He said he tried to live his life “under the Lordship of Jesus Christ,” and that “children are a blessing from God.” To conclude, he read from Revelation 5:11-14. Trauger was critical of Zastrow’s “religious fervor,” saying that it led him to cause pain to others. She told Zastrow that she didn’t need to hear a sermon. He is now a felon, meaning he can’t vote or own a firearm. President Joe Biden’s Justice Department brought charges against Zastrow and 10 other pro-lifers present at a sit-in at the Carafem Health Center Clinic in Mt. Juliet. During the protest where Zastrow was present, a group of pro-lifers gathered on the second floor of an office building in the hallway outside Carafem. The group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic not to get abortions. No one present was charged with committing any violence. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP The sentencing came one day after their co-defendant Paul Vaughn was sentenced. Trauger did not impose a prison sentence on Vaughn despite the Biden administration’s request that he be sentenced to one year behind bars. When given an opportunity to speak, Vaughn said that the “reason I am engaged in activities is because I care for my country.” An overflow room crowded with supporters of Vaughn watching the proceedings at the courthouse erupted into cheers after Trauger said she would impose no jail time. Trauger said she based her decision in part on his four years of service in the Navy and statements from those in his city and county. The Thomas More Society, which is representing Vaughn, is expected to appeal his conviction. Several others convicted of conspiracy against rights over the Carafem sit-in will be sentenced later today, including Coleman Boyd and Dennis Green. Hundreds of supporters of the pro-lifers gathered at Christ Church Nashville on Monday and Tuesday to rally in support of the activists ahead of their sentencing. At the rallies, attendees sang, prayed, and heard from Christian pastors. Many also gathered on Monday and Tuesday outside federal court in Nashville ahead of the sentencing.

VP Harris Emerges as Top Choice to Replace Biden in 2024 Amid Growing Concerns

A new poll indicates Vice President Kamala Harris is the leading contender to replace President Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket if he withdraws from the 2024 presidential race. Biden’s recent underwhelming debate performance has intensified discussions within the Democratic Party about the need for a potential replacement. The Data for Progress poll, conducted last Friday, revealed Harris as the top pick among Democratic voters, with 39% favoring her as Biden's replacement. The poll surveyed 1,011 likely voters, including 387 Democrats, and carries a margin of error of three percentage points. California Governor Gavin Newsom followed with 18%, while Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg garnered 10% support. Does anyone remember Kamala's 2020 presidential campaign and why – despite massive advantages (swooning media coverage, a debate where she called Biden a racist, major California cash) – she had to drop out before the first vote because even the Dem base couldn't stand her? pic.twitter.com/8p1ao9Fggi — Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) July 3, 2024 Despite the growing momentum for Harris, Biden’s campaign has firmly stated that the president is not stepping down. "Joe Biden is not dropping out," campaign spokesman Seth Schuster reiterated, underscoring the administration’s commitment to the re-election bid.The discussions about Biden's replacement reflect broader concerns about his viability as a candidate due to his age and recent performance issues. "Folks, I don’t walk as easy as I used to… But I know how to do this job," Biden responded at a recent rally, aiming to reassure supporters about his capability to lead. If Biden were to step aside, the Democratic Party would face the challenge of selecting a new nominee through a convention process, a system that has not been activated in decades. This scenario could trigger an open and unpredictable race among various Democratic leaders, including Harris, Newsom, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and others. BUT I always knew she would topple Jover Bidone one day : ‘That Little Girl Was Me 'pic.twitter.com/1vkEOt2xMS — Andrew Fisher (@acpandy) July 3, 2024 The polling data also shows significant support for other candidates: Senator Cory Booker received 7%, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer 6%, and Senators Amy Klobuchar and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker each at 2%. However, Harris remains the most favored, partly due to her current role and visibility within the administration. The prospect of replacing Biden is fraught with uncertainty and potential risks. Political analysts caution that a new candidate would need to rapidly gain favorability on the national stage, which could prove challenging. "A Biden replacement is just as easy to take a beating in his or her favorability after being vetted on the national scene," noted Thomas Gift, an associate professor of political science at University College London. As the Democratic Party navigates this complex situation, the focus remains on maintaining unity and presenting a strong candidate capable of challenging the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump, in the 2024 election. In summary, while Vice President Kamala Harris currently stands as the top choice to replace President Biden, the path to such a transition is layered with procedural and political hurdles. The Democratic Party must weigh these considerations carefully as they approach the 2024 presidential race. WATCH: Fury at MSNBC After ‘Chevron’ SCOTUS Decision Weakens Unelected Bureaucrats

The talking heads at MSNBC had a conniption over the U.S. Supreme Court daring to gut the power of unelected bureaucrats just whipping up regulations willy-nilly.   On June 28, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in the Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo case to rein in the absurd power usurped by the federal bureaucracy from Congress and the courts. Due to the 1984 Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council decision, federal agencies had to defer to government agencies' interpretations of ambiguous laws. In response to the fall of "Chevron," hosts and guests on a number of MSNBC shows gathered to mourn the inability of unelected bureaucrats to arbitrarily impose their will on American businesses. MSNBC legal analyst Barbara McQuade was arguably one of the most triggered personalities on the network. She cried that the obliteration of the draconian “Chevron” deference was “[A]n attack not only on the working class but also on career professionals in government who develop expertise in their field,” Huh?  McQuade perfectly encapsulated the MSNBC fury by complaining about how the ruling was an attempt to “dismantle the administrative state” and how it was a “real blow to the career professional civil service.” She wasn’t the only MSNBC figure to throw a temper tantrum over the demise of the “Chevron” doctrine. The rest of MSNBC backed her up. MSNBC host Joy Reid railed how the decision will “basically end the government’s ability to regulate the environment, public health, workplace safety and consumer protections. God help us all!” Oh yes, how terrible the government can’t legally be as tyrannical as it was before.  On the June 28 edition of Alex Wagner Tonight, former president of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund Sherrilyn Ifill went after the so-called “arrogant” Supreme Court, before ludicrously arguing that the decision “takes power from Congress, which after all delegated that power to federal agencies,” despite specifically being about ending court deference to executive branch regulators making up their own interpretations on gray areas of the law. She would go on to call for an expansion of the Supreme Court. National Review Editor Philip Klein has made the opposite point, arguing that Chevron disempowered Congress by leading it to “increasingly shirk its obligations of lawmaking and defer authority to agencies.” During the same segment, MSNBC host Alex Wagner suggested that the decision was motivated by “MAGA” concerns about the “deep state.”  On the June 29 edition of MSNBC’s The Weekend, co-host Alicia Menendez gave the game away fretting about an “actual imperial presidency” under former President Donald Trump. Moments before this, Menendez warned that Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts wants to “deconstruct the administrative state” before playing a clip of Roberts discussing Project 2025 and the need to rein in the power of the leftist federal bureaucracy. Menendez did not specify how reducing the power of a future Trump executive branch would empower him to run an imperial presidency. MRC Free Speech America VP Dan Schneider dragged Menendez and her panel, “These MSNBC people are so radical they don’t even see how absurd they are. Taking power away from a future Trump administration necessarily means that Trump’s executive branch would require congressional action before he could take certain actions.” Schneider added, “Now, the elected representatives of the people will have to do their jobs, exercise their Constitutional power and be held accountable by voters for unpopular decisions.” During the same show, Slate senior writer Mark Joseph Stern also vented about the decision. “This decision reflects a lot of hostility toward Congress and how Congress has legislated for the last hundred years or so, right? Congress passes broad laws that are designed to give agencies the ability to address problems on the ground as they arise.” Conservatives are under attack!  Contact MSNBC at (800) 952-5210 and demand they stop shilling for the administrative state.
