The Washington Post’s ‘Rambunctious Rah-Rah’ Coverage of Walz

The Washington Post’s ‘Rambunctious Rah-Rah’ Coverage of Walz

The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, but it reads like it’s owned by the Democratic National Committee. Consider the bias by omission. On Aug. 9, Washington Examiner reporter Gabe Kaminsky found an uncomfortable story: “Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, on at least five occasions as governor of Minnesota, hosted a Muslim cleric who celebrated Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack last year on Israel and promoted a film popular among Neo-Nazis that glorifies Adolf Hitler.” After Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,200 civilians, Imam Asad Zaman wrote he “stands in solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli attacks.” The group Zaman leads, the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, said in a statement it “reaffirms its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.” A few days later, Kaminsky obtained exclusive video of Walz praising Zaman as a “master teacher.” He proclaimed, “I would like to first of all say thank you to imam. I am a teacher, so when I see a master teacher, I know it.” In response, the Harris campaign put out a statement that Walz does not “have a personal relationship” with Zaman, which is plainly false. When it comes to appearing with leaders who endorse Hitler and terrorism, Walz’s fervent words of praise were enough of a political indictment. The Washington Post is a Democrat rag, so it can’t touch this. Search for Asad Zaman on its website and you will find three stories on a Minnesota mosque bombing in 2017. In one, Zaman was quoted as saying, “Hate is not okay. … We need an America where people are safe with their neighbors.” “Hate is not okay,” said the man who celebrated the Hamas slaughter of Oct. 7. By contrast, a search for “Trump” and white supremacist and antisemite “Nick Fuentes” gives you 404 stories. One story centers on Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell warning anyone meeting with antisemites is unlikely to ever be elected president. Instead of covering the story of Walz’s gushing praise of a pro-Hamas and pro-Hitler imam, the Post on Aug. 14 carried a story headlined “As ‘Coach Walz,’ VP pick left an impression as a gung ho, hands-on leader.” If you found the Post story online, the headline was even more positive: “Tim Walz as football coach: A rambunctious, rah-rah joker.” The subheadline came from a quote: “‘Coach Walz was like Coach Taylor,’ one player said, referencing the beloved fictional coach from the series ‘Friday Night Lights.’ ‘Only a bit kinder and nicer.'” Reporter-activists Ben Strauss and Ben Terris found all the good news they could muster from the old days at Mankato West High School. “In interviews, more than 10 players and coaches who overlapped with Walz universally described him as a high-energy coach who specialized in rah-rah speeches and an avuncular and hands-on leader who didn’t mind a practical joke and helped transform a woebegone program into a state champion.” Could the Post find anyone who didn’t like Tim Walz? Did it get someone to organize a Walz fan club for this story so he could be “universally described” as a terrific guy? It’s reminiscent of 2012, when Washington Post editor David Maraniss churned out a 600-page book on Barack Obama that eviscerated Obama’s autobiography as filled with phony stories. But the Post avoided that. It only published an excerpt on the front page of a Sunday sports section about Obama’s love of basketball, and how it helped him “find his way toward blackness.” The Washington Post isn’t trustworthy in informing the voters. It is trustworthy in underlining positive Democrat narratives and squashing the negative ones. COPYRIGHT 2024 CREATORS.COM We publish a variety of perspectives. NewsBusters Podcast: Why the Media Hate a Focus on 'Soros Prosecutors'

Leftist megadonors George and Alex Soros not only fund more than 125 prosecutors across America, they make them come to meetings and accept orders. The most prominent one is Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, an elected Democrat who manipulated a Democrat jury to find Donald Trump guilty on 34 felony counts about bookkeeping.  Our VP for Free Speech America Dan Schneider joins the show to talk about their latest eye-opening report on "Law and Disorder.” The MRC obtained nearly 7,800 pages of internal communications from dozens of Soros-backed prosecutors through multiple public records requests. The findings "reveal how the Soros machine effectively employs an army of radicalized government lawyers to tear apart the justice system" across America.  "The Soros empire spent at least $40 million to elect its prosecutors. It then invested an additional $77,663,316 to 20 leftist nonprofits to coordinate and control the prosecutors, bringing the total Soros spending to at least $117,663,316," the report continues. "At least 30 percent of the U.S. population currently lives under the boot of the Soros prosecutors who were pressured to sign pledges vowing to adhere to various Soros priorities. The Soros machine orchestrated 33 of these ‘joint statements’ and pledges, which were signed by 123 of the 126 Soros prosecutors." The MRC also put a spotlight on Fair and Just Prosecution, a network of local prosecutors they claim has worked to "manipulate the rule of law concerning illegal immigration, drugs, abortion, election integrity, capital punishment and laws against childhood sex changes."  In a story on FoxNews.com, FJP leader Miriam Krinsky pulled the usual Soros card: "Calling any reform-minded prosecutor a ‘Soros-backed prosecutor’ is ill-informed and promotes antisemitic tropes that are incredibly harmful at a time when there is an alarming surge in anti-Jewish bigotry." Overall, Dan and his team concluded: "The Soros empire is massively involved in changing the legal system of the United States. Yet, most media outlets rarely cover Soros’s ‘reform prosecutors’ and the harm they have wrought."  Enjoy the podcast below, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Trump meets with former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard as debate with Harris looms

Former President Donald Trump has recently met with Tulsi Gabbard as he prepares for upcoming debates against Kamala Harris, America's border czar and the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. When Trump and Gabbard have met recently is unclear, but the New York Times, which first reported their meeting, indicated that Gabbard joined Trump at Mar-a-Lago for a "practice session" about some of his debate strategies.Harris appeared stunned by the attack from the left and was never really able to get her campaign back on track. She dropped out before the Iowa caucuses.Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed the recent partnership between Trump and Gabbard but denied that the former president is engaging in active debate preparation."President Trump has proven to be one of the best debaters in political history as evidenced by his knockout blow to Joe Biden," Leavitt said in a statement. "He does not need traditional debate prep but will continue to meet with respected policy advisors and effective communicators like Tulsi Gabbard, who successfully dominated Kamala Harris on the debate stage."Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, indeed "dominated" Harris, then a senator from California, during a 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate, effectively bringing Harris' fledgling campaign to an early end."Now, Senator Harris says she's proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she'll be a prosecutor president, but I'm deeply concerned about this record," Gabbard said as Harris' expression soured."There are too many examples to cite," Gabbard continued, "but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana, she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California, and she fought to keep the system in place that impacts poor people in the worst kind of way."Harris appeared stunned by the attack from the left and was never really able to get her campaign back on track. She dropped out of the 2020 primary race before the Iowa caucuses. In 2024, Harris similarly received no primary votes for president but is the Democratic nominee nonetheless after Joe Biden abandoned a bid for a second term in office last month.Trump and Harris are scheduled to face off in at least one debate in the coming weeks, but the Harris team has seemingly wavered about committing to others.According to The Hill, both Trump and Harris have agreed to debate on September 10 on ABC News. The outlet further claimed Trump has committed to debates on September 4 on Fox News and September 25 on NBC News, while a statement from the Harris campaign indicated that Harris has not agreed to those other September debates. "Assuming Donald Trump actually shows up on September 10 to debate Vice President Harris, then Governor Walz will see JD Vance on October 1 and the American people will have another opportunity to see the vice president and Donald Trump on the debate stage in October," said a statement from campaign communications director Michael Tyler.Gabbard officially left the Democratic Party almost two years ago and has since encouraged Americans to support Trump, a Republican. She was even briefly floated as a possible vice presidential candidate for Trump earlier this year.Like Blaze News? Texas principal flown to hospital after getting injured in 'classroom disruption'; student detained

An assistant principal was seriously injured in a "classroom disruption" at a Texas high school, and a student was detained over the incident. The Corsicana Independent School District said in a statement Friday that Candra Rogers had been airlifted after the incident but offered few details about what happened. 'This has been an extremely upsetting and difficult situation.' The district only said that fewer than 10 students were present in the room at the Collins Intermediate School during the incident, but they were not injured. School teachers and students were told to remain in classrooms while first responders rushed to provide medical care to Rogers. The Corsicana ISD Police Department is actively investigating the incident. “Our prayers are with Mrs. Rogers and her family, but also the family of the student, those in the classroom at the time, and the entire Collins campus, our school district, and our community,” said Superintendent Stephanie Howell. “This has been an extremely upsetting and difficult situation as you might imagine, but we take the safety not only of our students, but also of our staff very seriously," she added. "Both remain a priority for Corsicana ISD.” A message on social media said Rogers had been hired on as assistant principal in February. Her husband also works as the school's football coach. The district said Rogers' condition was improving. Corsicana is a city of about 25k residents in northeast Texas. Photos of Rogers can be seen on the news video report from KWTV-TV on YouTube.
