A slow start, especially when it’s an organic, ground-roots effort. A tough period of hard work where you struggle to get the thing going and you’re not sure if it will ever succeed…. And then at one point you hit something called “Critical Mass”: Also sometimes called “Escape Velocity”… It’s the point at which 1+1 no longer just equals two but sometimes 5 or 10 or 100! Because you start to get that multiplier effect and things just “take off”. The game starts to slow down and you can’t miss your shot, even from the 3 point line….you’re in the zone and things just start coming together, pieces fitting together quicker and more perfectly than ever before. It’s a thing of beauty! That’s what just happened to us when I started my new Mission last year. We launched it from absolute scratch, total ground-roots effort from not just Square One but Square Zero! But then something magical happened…. I pretty quickly had over 200 people sign up to work the Mission with me. Suddenly it wasn’t just me, it was me plus a team of 200+ people helping me drive this thing forward. And drive we did… It wasn’t always easy (still isn’t!) but we started to build slowly and surely and now just over a year into this new Mission and we’re hitting that Critical Mass and starting to see some Escape Velocity as the amount of people we’ve touched with this Mission who have raised their hand to say “I love that, I want in!” has just passed 200,000 people! Why do I tell you that? Because it means we’re making a difference and starting to have a huge impact as we march towards ONE MILLION people next! So….probably now you’re asking Ok Noah, so what *IS* this new Mission?  What is it all about?  Spill the beans Noah!!! Ok, let me fill you in… You see, my friend Jovan Pulitzer puts it this way: I think that’s so well said. And since 2015, I’ve really focused on the first two things… Helping get the TRUTH out to as many people as possible so we can win the battle at the ballot box, and doing it in a way that is the most time-effective way possible for you! I work hard all day long reporting the news so you can just come to one place and find everything you need! That’s why I run WLTReport.com. But I hadn’t really focused on the third way we can vote: with our pocketbooks! Sometimes, the smallest moments in life are the ones that have the greatest impact. This was certainly the case when this Mom captured the moment her husband and daughter were dancing in the backyard. This moment was precious then, but that’s even more true now that their 6-year-old is no longer alive. When this sweet little girl was born, she dealt with a myriad of health issues. One diagnosis she received was Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral, a type of Cerebral Palsy — but Dad still helped her find ways to keep dancing. And that’s exactly what Dad was doing that night, not long after they had moved into their new house. It was a single story home, perfect for 6-year-old Ariana’s needs. With the weather feeling perfect, this sweet family kept their back doors open. Mom stepped away for a moment, but as she returned, she heard music. Finding her husband and daughter dancing together was such a magical moment. Experience it for yourself in the video below. @arianaryefoundation I’ll always remember this moment. We just moved into our new house- a single story to fit Ariana’s needs. We didn’t even have a couch yet. The weather was perfect so the back doors to the loggia were open. I immediately heard the music when blaring from the backyard when I walked into the house. It was dad dancing with Ari. He always brought her back there and said “I’m going to build you a pool Ari, next summer is going to be so much fun!”. Our pool just finished a few months ago but the weather wasn’t quite warm enough to go in. But dad wanted to take her swimming in it before we left for Florida. So dad heated it, and Ariana got to go swimming in it for the first- and only- time. Ariana passed away in Florida the next week. I’m so grateful he took her swimming before he left. It took months, but when the renovation was complete, Dad went out of his way to make sure Ariana got to swim in it before they left for a trip to Florida. “Ariana passed away in Florida the next week,” Mom shares in the caption of the video. “I’m so grateful he took her swimming before he left.” Dad and Daughter With Cerebral Palsy Are Caught Dancing the Night Away, Melting Hearts Everywhere The loss of a child is something so many of us can’t even begin to fathom. As Ariana’s family continues to grieve their devastating loss, they also continue to honor their child’s memory, including all of the small moments of joy they shared. In turn, others are being encouraged to do the same with their own loved ones. “Thank you for sharing such a beautiful moment. And thank you for the reminder to do the things. Can we have a moment of appreciation for teachers? Not only do they carry the massive responsibility of educating our youth, but they also have to deal with a lot of lip from students! Of course, one 8th grade teacher online has been having fun with some of the hilarious things her kids say in class. In fact, she’s been sharing them (anonymously) on social media! When Miss Dugan posted a video titled, “Things that my 8th graders have said to me,” it received over 17 million views. She repeated a variety of comments from her students, ranging from sassy insults to almost undecipherable slang. People loved the clip so much, the teacher decided to make another one. As it turns out, there were plenty more great quotes where those came from! @miss.dugan1 The people wanted more. My students obliged. Another, not quite understanding how makeup works, inquired, “What is that black stuff on your eye? Are you ok? It was there the other day, too.” Although some of the things these 8th graders have said may sound a bit ruthless, these students are also endearingly innocent at times. This is especially true when it comes to human biology, apparently. “I thought only boys had hormones,” one confused child said. They often seem to communicate in a language all their own. “That kid glazed me at a D1 level,” the teacher repeated in her video, looking nonplussed. “He was first round pick in the glazing draft.” Of course, Miss Dugan saved the most savage comment from her students for the very end. “You’re giving single-core,” one kid told her.
