Long-shot presidential candidate Marianne Williamson made the unusual move Wednesday of relaunching her campaign. The author suspended her presidential campaign following poor performances in the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries. After narrowly edging Rep. She announced the restart of her campaign after getting 3% of the vote in Michigan’s Democratic primary on Wednesday despite having already ended her White House bid‚ beating fellow presidential candidate Rep. Dean Phillips‚ D-Minn.‚ who received 2.7 % of the primary vote with 95% of the expected votes counted. Biden‚ meanwhile‚ received 81% of the Democratic primary vote in Michigan‚ while 13% chose “uncommitted” on the ballot. Prior to the New Hampshire primary‚ Williamson suggested she believed Trump would win the upcoming general election. “I do not have good feelings about what will happen in 2024‚ because 2024 is not going to be like 2020; 2024 is going to be like 2016‚” she said at a town hall event in Portsmouth. From The Guardian: Williamson‚ who also ran in 2020‚ had suspended her campaign on 7 February‚ after failing to make an impact in Iowa‚ New Hampshire‚ South Carolina and Nevada. “I hope future candidates will take what works for them‚ drinking from the well of information we prepared‚” she said. “My team and I brought to the table some great ideas‚ and I will take pleasure when I see them live on in campaigns and candidates yet to be created.” She changed her mind after Michigan. Citing economic difficulties faced by many Americans including medical debt and an insufficient minimum wage‚ she also quoted a bygone Republican president Abraham Lincoln. “We the people basically don’t own this country right now. Abraham Lincoln said that people who died in the civil war for the union had died so that a government of the people‚ by the people and for the people would not perish from the earth. It’s perishing now on our watch.” Promising to end “government of the corporations by the corporations”‚ and to achieve an “economic U-turn”‚ Williamson said America needed a response to Trump’s “dark vision” better than that offered by Biden.

Joe Biden lost to ‘uncommitted’ among Michigan Democrat primary voters in Dearborn. Although Biden easily won Michigan‚ Dearborn residents chose ‘uncommitted’ in a protest vote over Biden’s response to the Israel-Gaza conflict. Dearborn has the highest percentage of Arab Americans of any city in the United States. According to Newsweek‚ 56 percent of Dearborn residents voted for ‘uncommitted’ while 40 percent voted for Biden. The difference was approximately 1‚700 votes. Frustration with Donald Trump and his Muslim ban led to the president getting only 10.6% in the two precincts at Salina Intermediate School. But on Tuesday‚ voters interviewed in Dearborn made it clear they were not supporting Biden this time‚ primarily because of his strong support for Israel as it launches attacks in Gaza and other parts of the Arab world. The Michigan Democrats said in a video posted on X that she was “proud” to pull a Democratic ballot and vote “uncommitted.” Mitch Landrieu‚ a former Biden administration senior adviser and current national co-chair for Biden’s reelection campaign‚ acknowledged that “uncommitted” voters in Michigan had sent a message. “Joe Biden had a really‚ really strong night tonight. And when Community High School in Swannanoa‚ North Carolina‚ honored him with a special surprise‚ the humble man quickly pointed the spotlight for his good deeds back on God! Good Morning America came to the school to honor him. Ike Ejiochi‚ one of the GMA hosts opened the door to a meeting Ray was attending. He pulls him out of the meeting and Ike talks to Ray‚ saying‚ "Everyone says that you help make this building feel so much more than a school." He then walks Ray into the gym where many people are standing and holding signs of love. They started calling him "Captain Ray" after he bought a captain's hat and started wearing it every day. Mr. Ray is truly there for the students and faculty. We go back to the gym where the principal gives some words of kindness about him. Ike then asks an important question about where his spirit and energy come from. Ray responds‚ "Well I just have to give God the glory because again that's where it started for me." Ray tears up a bit and the crowd cheers for him again. Then‚ GMA lets Ray know that they are sending him and his wife to Las Vegas to see Lionel Richie with a two-night stay at Cesar's Palace. From the whole video you can tell how much Ray is appreciated and giving the glory to God makes this story one of the best. Ray is truly showing the spirit of God to those around them and everyone is better for it.
