They Are All Part Of One Big Club And You Should Be Thankful That You Aren’t In It

Has anyone ever been more connected than Jeffrey Epstein? That is a serious question. Personally, I have never heard of anyone that has spent more time socializing with the rich and famous than Epstein. We are told that he was some sort of a financier, but in reality, he seemed to spend almost all of …

Throwback To Ella Langley Joining Zach Top For Killer Performance Of “Sounds Like The Radio” Back In 2024

Oh, how time flies. If you asked any country fan back in 2024 about Zach Top and Ella Langley, chances are they’d tell you that the pair were well on their way to becoming stars, but, more than likely, a couple of years away from true superstar status. And honestly, I would have been right there with them. At the time, Top was fresh off the release of his debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, and while he was undoubtedly a buzzy name thanks to “Use Me” and “Sounds Like the Radio” catching fire online, the Washington native was still opening up for the likes of Flatland Cavalry, Brothers Osborne, Lainey Wilson and more. All the writing was on the wall for Top to become a superstar; however, he wasn’t quite there yet. Langley, on the other hand, was staring down the barrel of superstardom. If you recall, back in May of 2024, she catapulted to the top of the charts upon the release of her first duet with Riley Green, “you look like you love me.” At this point, it should go without saying just how popular that song has remained, even as we sit in 2026. With a staggering 301 million streams on Spotify alone, over 829,000 unique uses on TikTok, consistent placement in the Top 10 on platforms such as Touchtunes and a 3x platinum certification from the RIAA, the track has been nothing short of a smash hit for the Alabama native. As alluded to earlier, however, I don’t think anyone could have predicted just how big the pair truly has gotten over the past two years. From an awards perspective, the duo has been dominant. Langley, in particular, has been nothing short of an awards show darling, bringing in a staggering seven CMA and ACM Awards throughout 2024 and 2025 for “you look like you love me” alone. Additionally, she’d grab New Female Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards as well. Top, while having fewer awards in total, has notched an even more notable trophy. Along with joining Langley in 2024 by winning New Male Artist of the Year at the ACMs, he’d also win New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards last November, which he accepted with a Coors Banquet in his hand. Even more notably, last Sunday, he made history by taking home the first-ever Best Traditional Country Album award at the 68th Grammy Awards. Fresh off Top making history at the Grammys on Sunday, Langley is gearing up to make history her own with her smash hit single, “Choosin’ Texas,” which has been sweeping the nation as of late. Currently sitting at #2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, if the track goes #1 next week, she will become just the seventh female artist IN HISTORY to score a #1 hit on the chart with a country song. Beyond that potential feat, recently, “Choosin’ Texas” has also surpassed Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” as the best-selling song of the year so far in the U.S. All that is to say, this throwback performance of Top and Langley performing “Sounds Like the Radio” back in November 2024 at Whiskey Jam in Nashville is nothing short of a great performance and time capsule. As we sit today, a team-up between the two superstars would dominate headlines for weeks, but at the time, it was just another Tuesday night (literally) in Music City. If you’ve never seen the performance before, check it out below. You won’t want to miss it. There’s Only One Person Who Could Unite The Entire World On The Super Bowl Halftime Stage… But She’s Turned It Down Multiple Times

This might be the one thing that could actually bring the country together. With Super Bowl LX coming up this Sunday, there’s been a ton of controversy around halftime performer Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper has been very outspoken about ICE, which has made many conservative football fans upset, and there is even an alternate Super Bowl halftime performance this year being headlined by Kid Rock for those who don’t want to watch Bad Bunny on the world’s biggest stage. I am still of the belief that we need a country music super bowl halftime show because it’s well overdue, and has never been more popular than it is right now. And while one particular country icon just turned 80-years old last month, Dolly Parton is still just as ageless as ever. But it’s honestly pretty shocking that someone as iconic as her has never played the Super Bowl. In 2023, she revealed to the The Hollywood Reporter that she has actually been offered it “many times,” but she always turned it down because she didn’t think she was “big enough to do it”: “Oh, sure. I’ve been offered that many times, I couldn’t do it because of other things, or I just didn’t think I was big enough to do it — to do that big of a production. When you think about those shows, those are big, big productions. I’ve never done anything with that big of a production. I don’t know if I could have. I think at the time that’s what I was thinking.” It’s true, the Super Bowl halftime show has become the biggest stage in the world in terms of true viewing eyeballs, one that most artists dream of playing, but to think that Dolly Parton didn’t think she could pull off such a production is pretty wild. The woman is known for her over-the-top looks, huge personality and larger-than-life persona, and I actually couldn’t think of anyone more perfect for this kind of thing… I mean, she stunned the world just a few years ago when the did the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show, and I think even now she could do something spectacular, even if she isn’t still at the peak of her career from a musical standpoint. Considering how controversial Bad Bunny has been as a halftime selection, because everything is political these days, there really is only one person who could unite as all on Super Bowl Sunday, and of course, it’s none other than Mrs. Dolly herself. I can only imagine what she would’ve done with a show like that back in the ’70s or ’80s, but even today, Dolly Parton is a fan favorite across all sides of the political spectrum. And even if she wouldn’t headline it now (and she definitely should), if we ever get another country artist to headline it again, she better be on that stage. At the Grammys recently, Jelly Roll called for a country music halftime show at Nashville’s new Nissan Stadium in the next few years, and he specifically mentioned Dolly as someone who needed to be included. To be honest, there’s not many artists left who wouldn’t be seen as a political choice one way or the other, but tell me something like this wouldn’t go down in history… Dolly Parton FULL Thanksgiving Halftime Show#NFL #AmericanFootball pic.twitter.com/hC6v38fa2v — Crypto.Man (@hoangcrab_) November 24, 2023 The post There’s Only One Person Who Could Unite The Entire World On The Super Bowl Halftime Stage… But She’s Turned It Down Multiple Times first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Lee Brice Reveals More Details About Turning Point USA Super Bowl Halftime Show – Including Why He Said Yes

Ahead of his performance at the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show, country singer Lee Brice is revealing more about the alternate Super Bowl halftime show – and explaining why he agreed to be a part of it. If you’re not familiar with the origins of the All-American Halftime Show, it all started back in October when the NFL announced that Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny would be headlining the halftime show at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California on February 8. The global superstar and Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has been famously outspoken against President Donald Trump, and even announced that he wouldn’t be touring in the United States due to the president’s immigration policies. Naturally his selection to headline the Apple Music halftime show led to plenty of backlash from conservative football fans, who believe he was chosen as a middle finger of sorts to President Donald Trump. Even the president himself weighed in on the halftime show: “I don’t know who he is. I don’t know why they’re doing it — it’s, like, crazy. They blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.” But NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell previously voiced his support for Bad Bunny and dismissed criticism of his selection as the halftime performer: “He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world. That’s what we try to (choose). It’s an important stage to us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value. It’s carefully thought through. I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. It’s pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching. We’re confident it’s going to be a great show. He understands the platform that he’s on, and I think it’s going to be exciting and a united moment.” The controversy led to Turning Point USA, the organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, to announce that they would be staging an alternate, pro-America halftime show this year, which will feature performances from Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. For Brice though, he says it wasn’t anything against Bad Bunny that made him want to be a part of TPUSA’s counterprogramming: “I don’t know much about him. I’ve heard he’s won a bunch of Grammys and he’s a great artist or whatever. But, you know, I didn’t get asked to play the other Super Bowl, but I did get asked to do this and be a part of something that I believe in.” During an interview yesterday with Fox News, Brice says the halftime show is a reflection of the organization’s late founder’s mission: “Charlie Kirk wanted everybody to have a microphone, and it’s a celebration of what he believed in and what he brought to the table. And I’m just proud. You know, I’m proud to be an American. And I’m excited. I’m a musician. I get to go play music.” As for how the halftime show will work, it sounds like some of that’s still being figured out, but Lee revealed that he’ll have around 7 minutes to perform – although it sounds like there’s going to be some collaboration between the four artists on the show: “It’s pretty quick, you know. I mean, I got like a seven-minute section. Kid’s got like an eight-minute section. And, like, it’s really so cool. We went through it all. We’ve talked about it. We’ve got it all planned out. I think it’s going to be really fun, kind of a mashup of stuff. Kind of, you know, just like any Super Bowl halftime, which is, again, what we get to do. This is going to be really fun.” It’ll be interesting to see how many viewers Turning Point USA manages to draw to their alternate halftime show. If it turns out to be a meaningful portion of the Super Bowl’s viewership, something like this has the potential to change how the NFL and Jay-Z’s production company, Roc Nation, go about picking halftime performers in the future. But if not, this may end up being a one and done. The post Lee Brice Reveals More Details About Turning Point USA Super Bowl Halftime Show – Including Why He Said Yes first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
