“Amorica” Deluxe Reissue Box Set Coming

November 14th is the release date for The Black Crowes deluxe reissue of their third album “Amorica.’ Brothers Chris and Rich Robinson are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 album. The box set features “Bitter, Bitter You,” an unreleased track from the “Amorica“ era. Bitter, Bitter You Amorica “‘Amorica’ was about breaking free and doing things on our own terms,” said Chris Robinson. “It wasn’t about fitting into what was happening in music at the time. It was about trusting our instincts — and 30 years later, that’s still who we are.” “The bond between us, even when tested, always came back to the music,” added Rich Robinson. That’s what ‘Amorica’ represents — our belief in ourselves and in this band.” “Amorica” reached gold status (500,000 units) in the United States. “Bitter, Bitter You” was originally recorded for the unreleased “Tall” album. That album, remixed and retitled “Tallest,” is included in the box set. ### The post “Amorica” Deluxe Reissue Box Set Coming appeared first on RockinTown.

“Spinal Tap: The End Continues” Is In Theaters

The mockumentary comedy, the follow-up to the 1984 classic “This Is Spinal Tap”, is in theaters. Directed by Rob Reiner, the sequel features Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their roles as members of Spinal Tap, a fictional Heavy Metal Band.  Paul McCartney, Elton John and Garth Brooks make cameo appearances as themselves. Fran Drescher reprises her role as Bobbi Flekman, with Paul Shaffer returning as the inept promo man Artie Fufkin. Like the original film, the production was only loosely scripted so as to be largely improvised by the actors. Scenes were filmed with a dual digital camera setup, allowing scenes to be captured spontaneously. Set around forty years after the first film, director Martin Di Bergi (Reiner) creates another video documentary of a Spinal Tap reunion and final show. Spinal Tap: The End Continues Spinal Tap: The End Continues Trailer A behind-the-scenes book about the making of the original film and sequel, “A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever: The Story of Spinal Tap,” written by Reiner, Guest, McKean, and Shearer, is also available. The Rasmus Release Album & Title Track

The Rasmus have released its eleventh studio album, “Weirdo,” along with the set’s title track, featuring The Funeral Portrait’s singer Lee Jennings. Weirdo’ “‘Weirdo’ was the first song we wrote and it shaped the concept for the entire album,” said The Rasmus frontman Lauri Ylönen. “It celebrates being different and individual. I’ve felt like an outcast and someone who doesn’t quite fit in.” “Being a part of ‘Weirdo’ with The Rasmus has been incredible,” stated Jennings. “It’s an anthem for the outcasts, and I’m beyond proud of how it turned out. Working with such an iconic band has been awesome.” Last July, The Rasmus headlined the Atlas Festival, a charity concert in Kiev, Ukraine for over 110,000 people. With a comprehensive security system and evacuation plan the festival went off without a hitch and raised over $2.5 million for Ukraine’s air defenses.
