Megan Moroney Fans Are Begging For Unreleased Track, “Wedding Dress” To Be Released In 2025

When you feel like you're about to move on, you stumble upon this unreleased gem, and your heart is broken again. This is the kind of sad music I want to hear at the end of 2024. With only two days left in the year, Megan Moroney fans are in a puddle after hearing a snippet of an unreleased track called "Wedding Dress." Although Megan Moroney initially shared this track in 2022, before the self-proclaimed Emo Cowgirl released her debut record, Lucky, and sophomore album, Am I Okay?, Megan Moroney fans were recently reminded of this unreleased gem, and I hope that she considered releasing it in 2025. This single feels like the perfect song to release after the bait-and-switch anthem of "Break It Right Back," where Moroney sings about a man who mended her broken heart and told her he'd love her forever to end the relationship and leave her brokenhearted again. "Wedding Dress" details the feeling of not entirely moving on from a past lover and the fear that you might meet someone new who is amazing, but the thoughts of the past continue to linger in your mind. Her fears become more real as she hopes to marry this new man. She worries that she might be thinking about her old man while dressed in white. She prays that she moves on before her wedding day and knows the chapter is closed for good. In the initial sharing of this track, Moroney sits in an apartment and strums a snippet of the single on her guitar. "It keeps me up at night Thinking what if the missin' you Don't ever goes away  What if you're burned into my brain?  What if my heart's already made up its mind? What if I find somebody new And I'm about to say 'I Do,' Then out of the blue I think of you? Hell, what a mess So let me miss him now But God, don't let me miss him In a wedding dress."  Fans loved the snippet of the track then, and now, with it resurfacing on social media, the buzz has started again among fans, who hope that one day, we will get a full version of this track. The heartbroken Emo Cowgirls cannot get enough of it. Give it a listen: @emocowgirls i hope @Megan Moroney releases this someday. ? #meganmoroney #weddingdress #countrymusic #countrymusictiktoks #womenofcountrymusic #fy #fyp #foryou #foryoupage ♬ original sound - paige ?? Check out some of the comments fans left on a repost of the song, sharing how much they relate to these lyrics. "Did you just stab me?" "MEGAN. I was FINALLY accepting it and now THIS???? No ma'am." "Alright, this made me heal 4 steps backward." "This just altered by brain." "I just got full body chills." "No, I NEED this." "DUDE I WAS JUST GETTING TO BEING OKAY." "I actually just felt my heart drop. I NEED this song right now." "Floored again." Megan, you hear the fans... make their dreams come true and think about dusting this one off of the shelf.

Appeals court upholds $5 million E. Jean Carroll verdict against Trump

A federal appeals court has upheld writer E. Jean Carroll's $5 million civil judgment against President-elect Donald Trump. A jury had awarded Carroll the sum in 2023 after finding Trump liable for sexual abusing her in the 1990s and then defaming her after she went public with her allegations. Trump has denied the allegations and appealed the verdict, charging it was "grossly excessive" and should be tossed because of what he claimed were unfair rulings from the judge who...

Guardian Angels resume New York City patrols after subway burning death: 'Never seen it this bad'

The Guardian Angels, a volunteer crime-prevention group, will be resuming its patrols of the New York subways after the death of a woman burned alive one week ago. "We’re now back to where we were when I started the group in 1979 on the subways. It’s gone full circle. I’ve never seen it this bad. Never," founder Curtis Sliwa told The New York Post Sunday. Sliwa founded the Guardian Angels because "the need was there" after a rise in violent crime. Forty-five years later, he argued that "the...

Massachusetts towns ban nicotine for a generation. Public health win or overreach?

If you were born after 2003, you will never be old enough to buy cigarettes in Chelsea, Massachusetts. And as of Jan. 1, in at least eight other towns. Municipalities in the Bay State are determined to create a “nicotine-free generation.” And three Massachusetts legislators recently announced they plan to file a statewide version of the bill in 2025. The regulations have set up an ideological battle, as local officials and their constituents wrestle with how far governments should go to...

A school assignment asked for 3 benefits of slavery. This kid gave the only good answer.

A school assignment asked for 3 benefits of slavery. This kid gave the only good answer.

It's not uncommon for parents to puzzle over their kids' homework. Sometimes, it's just been too long since they've done long division for them to be of any help. Or teaching methods have just changed too dramatically since they were in school. And other times, kids bring home something truly inexplicable.Trameka Brown-Berry was looking over her 4th-grade son Jerome's homework when her jaw hit the floor."Give 3 'good' reasons for slavery and 3 bad reasons," the prompt began. You read that right. Good reasons ... FOR SLAVERY.Lest anyone think there's no way a school would actually give an assignment like this, Brown-Berry posted photo proof to Facebook. In the section reserved for "good reasons," (again, for slavery), Jerome wrote, "I feel there is no good reason for slavery thats why I did not write."Yep. That about covers it.The school assignment was intended to spark debate and discussion — but isn't that part of the problem? The assignment was real. In the year 2018. Unbelievable. The shockingly offensive assignment deserved to be thrown in the trash. But young Jerome dutifully filled it out anyway. His response was pretty much perfect. We're a country founded on freedom of speech and debating ideas, which often leads us into situations where "both sides" are represented. But it can only go so far. There's no meaningful dialogue to be had about the perceived merits of stripping human beings of their basic living rights. No one is required to make an effort to "understand the other side," when the other side is bigoted and hateful. In a follow-up post, Brown-Berry writes that the school has since apologized for the assignment and committed to offering better diversity and sensitivity training for its teachers. But what's done is done, and the incident illuminates the remarkable racial inequalities that still exist in our country. After all, Brown-Berry told the Chicago Tribune, "You wouldn't ask someone to list three good reasons for rape or three good reasons for the Holocaust."At the very end of the assignment, Jerome brought it home with a bang: "I am proud to be black because we are strong and brave ... "Good for Jerome for shutting down the thoughtless assignment with strength and amazing eloquence. This article originally appeared six years ago.
