A couple in Florida has been arrested for reportedly kidnapping a baby from a Washington state city where one of the suspects pretended to be an Amazon delivery driver‚ according to People Magazine.Marlly Jarina Ardila-Urrego‚ 33‚ and Chun Ho Vincent Lai‚ 42‚ have been charged by King County prosecutors with first-degree kidnapping‚ first-degree burglary‚ second-degree assault of a child‚ first-degree robbery‚ and second-degree assault.The two reportedly planned to kidnap the infant of one of Ardila-Urrego's relatives. The couple‚ who live in Florida‚ traveled up to Washington state to abduct the 7-month-old‚ according to prosecutors in the case.In the days leading up to the incident‚ Ardila-Urrego apparently asked her cousin‚ the mother of the infant‚ what her address was. Ardila-Urrego told the woman that she had ordered a bed frame for the woman's child and that it would be delivered on February 20‚ according to documents‚ as reported by the outlet.Fox News Digital reported that when that day finally arrived‚ the victim said there was a knock on the door shortly after her husband left for work. She went on to tell authorities that she looked through the peephole and saw that someone was there who appeared to be a delivery driver with an Amazon box.When the victim eventually opened the door‚ she was allegedly met by Lai‚ who punched her in the face multiple times and then dragged her to the ground and zip-tied her wrists and ankles‚ per court documents. A woman whom the victim did not know entered the apartment and held her down while the man placed the infant in an Amazon box and quickly left the scene.The victim said that one of the suspects allegedly threatened the victim's two-year-old child if she did not do what they said. After the suspects left the apartment‚ the woman was able to slip out of the zip-ties and call the police.Ardila-Urrego and Lai were eventually arrested‚ and the 7-month-old was returned to its home. The bail was set for each suspect at $700‚000‚ and their arraignment was scheduled for the morning of March 7.The prosecutors have not been able to identify a clear motive in the case‚ and there is no evidence "mental illness or substance abuse contributed to this crime‚" according to Fox News Digital.
