Sixwire ‘Covers’ The Republican Convention
After years of playing Rock band’s music at rallies, conventions and other functions without permission, and getting severely criticized for it, Sixwire was hired to play the Republican National Convention currently underway in Milwaukee.
The band plays ‘background covers’ of songs by Collective Soul, Doobie Brothers, Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick, Grand Funk Railroad, Tom Cochrane, John Mellencamp, Loverboy, Journey, Smash Mouth and 38 Special.
All songs Republicans apparently like… or identify with… absent any negative repercussions.
Previously, Sixwire was the house band for USA Network’s Nashville Star, have appeared on FOX’s Next Great American Band, CMT’s Next Superstar and worked on ABC’s music-themed drama Nashville.
