Moonflower Murders takes place after the events of Magpie and is based on the 2022 book of the same name by Anthony Horowitz. “I can’t wait to get started on the scripts of Moonflower Murders,” the author said in a statement put out in January 2023 when the sequel was first announced. “We had a fantastic response to Magpie and, speaking personally, it was a joy bringing Susan Ryeland and Atticus Pünd to life on the screen. There are lots of surprises in the second book, including something I’ve never done before in a murder mystery. It’s going to be great fun.” Here’s the synopsis for Moonflower Murders: Susan has left the cut-throat world of publishing and is living in Crete with her longtime boyfriend, Andreas. She ends up returning to London when she is asked to investigate a mystery relating to Alan Conway, the author of the best- selling Atticus Pünd mysteries, whose death changed her life in Magpie Murders. The trailer gives us one more tidbit about the plot: Susan is essentially offered £10,000 to read a book. If I could only be so lucky! In addition to Manville and McMullan, the cast includes Conleth Hill, Mark Gatiss, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Daniel Mays. Weaponized government has citizens living in fear

The Biden administration has set in motion a wave of new regulations that already have cost more than $1 trillion, which equates to thousands of dollars per family, according to a new report from the Job Creators Network. About $1.6 trillion in costs have been imposed by a total of 923 new regulations finalized under President Joe Biden, with $1.2 trillion of that put in place in just the past few months, according to the business organization. In just the first two years of the Biden administration, new regulations are estimated to have led to an average of almost $10,000 in added future and present costs to American households, which could jump to $60,000 if the trend continues across a two-term presidency. “Federal bureaucrats are pushing an unprecedented regulatory agenda that’s crushing American small businesses and families at a time of already high inflation,” Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of the Job Creators Network, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Not only are they exceeding their authority, but the economic strain is creating long-term problems for the folks that are the backbone of our economy.” The most costly regulation is represented by recently finalized emission standards for light- and medium-duty vehicles, totaling around $870 billion, according to the report. The emission standards introduce increasingly steep requirements over time that vehicles be either hybrid or electric, costing more than traditional cars, as a part of the president’s climate agenda. New standards for washing machines are estimated to cost $200 per unit, gas furnace efficiency standards will cost $494 on average, and a ban on select refrigerants for air conditioners will cost $1,000, according to the report. Despite the president’s outward support for the manufacturing sector, the industry has suffered from the surge in regulation in recent years. In 2022, regulations cost American manufacturers $350 billion, up 26% from a decade earlier, the equivalent of around $29,000 per employee in compliance efforts, according to the Job Creators Network. Agencies within the Biden administration have rushed to finalize new regulations ahead of the 2024 presidential election in an effort to entrench them in case Biden doesn’t win a second term. New regulations are subject to a “lookback period” of 60 days before the end of a session of Congress, where they can be more easily repealed due to the Congressional Review Act. Since the Obama administration in 2009, federal agencies have finalized more than 5,300 regulations, for a total of $2.6 trillion in present and future costs, according to the Job Creators Network. Looking across similar timelines, the Trump administration reduced the cost of regulations by $159.4 billion compared to the Obama administration, which added $309 billion. The White House didn’t respond to a request for comment before publication. The government of the United Kingdom announced Wednesday that it was placing an “emergency ban” on the private prescription and supply of puberty blockers for minors, according to a press release. Both England and Scotland announced in March and April, respectively, that they were halting puberty blocker treatments for new patients under the age of 18 due to concerns about side effects and the largely unknown long-term impacts. The government announced that from June 3 to Sept. 3 private prescribers in England, Wales, and Scotland, as well as “prescribers registered in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland,” will not be able to offer puberty blockers as a treatment for minors with gender dysphoria, according to the new regulations. “During this period no new patients under 18 will be prescribed these medicines for the purposes of puberty suppression in those experiencing gender dysphoria/incongruence under the care of these prescribers,” the announcement reads. “In addition, the government has also introduced indefinite restrictions to the prescribing of these medicines within [National Health Service] primary care in England, in line with NHS guidelines.” The ban also bars providers from engaging in the “sale or supply” of puberty blockers for the purpose of treating minors with gender dysphoria, according to the regulations. The ban applies to “gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues – medicines that consist of, or contain, buserelin, gonadorelin, goserelin, leuprorelin acetate, nafarelin, or triptorelin,” according to the announcement. The drugs will still be available for patients over the age of 18 or for NHS prescriptions. Patients under the age of 18 who have been on puberty-blocking medication for at least six months prior to June 3 will be able to continue getting a prescription, according to the regulations. The announcement stated that the decision was “taken to address risks to patient safety” and noted that the NHS in England had made similar moves following the release of the Cass Review. The four-year review conducted by Dr. Hilary Cass, a consultant in pediatric disability and formerly the president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, revealed that there was “weak evidence” to support puberty blockers for minors and that there was “insufficient/inconsistent” research on how the treatment impact fertility and mental health. This week country singer Tim McGraw partnered up with Planet Fitness for a promotional advertisement. Given that Planet Fitness is overtly pro-trans women changing in ladies' locker rooms in front of young girls, McGraw was roasted for the partnership.  The country star even blocked Libs of TikTok after they called him out for the move. On May 27, McGraw shared a 47-second video to his personal X account in which he talked about how important fitness is to him, as it makes him feel better and gives him a “better mental outlook." I wouldn’t be able to stay consistent and fit without the support of my family, my friends and my community. McGraw certainly does have a family - a family that includes three daughters. And what does Planet Fitness do with girls? Shoves them in locker rooms where biological men are allowed to undress. No Tim, that doesn’t sound good. Planet Fitness has an agenda. It stood by its policy of allowing men into ladies' spaces and even invited and encouraged young teenagers to get memberships, too. Because the left wants to drive a wedge between parents and their kids, and this is just one of the ways they’re attempting to do that. Get kids into the gym for FREE, and then tell them that men in the women’s restroom is not only acceptable, but normal. Libs of TikTok called McGraw out for endorsing Planet Fitness rather than defending young girls, writing in a post on X, “Country Singer Tim McGraw announced a new partnership with Planet Fitness. Tim has 3 daughters. @TheTimMcGrawdo you feel comfortable letting your daughter use PF knowing a man can expose himself to her and PF will defend the man because that's their policy? Do you support this?”  The account also commented on McGraw's post with the ad, “YIKES. Would you feel comfortable with your daughters using Planet Fitness knowing a man can expose himself to them and Planet Fitness will defend the man?" Almost immediately, McGraw - or whoever runs his X account - hid Libs of TikTok’s comment. Screenshots of the hidden reply are available here. Then, just two minutes after Libs of TikTok generated its own post bashing McGraw, the singer blocked the account. “Welp that was fast. This might be a new record,” Libs of TikTok wrote when sharing a screenshot that McGraw blocked the account.  While McGraw and his team likely flipped out, considering how cancel culture is a huge threat for these self-absorbed swines, I’m afraid his reputation may be on the line. Even though they moved quick, social media and screenshots moved quicker.  McGraw’s stance on companies that support wokeness and grooming, like Planet Fitness does, is already out there.
