Morning Joe To NBC: Fire Ronna McDaniel! We'll Never Have Her On The Show!

It wasn't enough for Mika Brzezinski to declare that Ronna McDaniel would never darken Morning Joe's doorway. On today's episode‚ Mika‚ on behalf of the show‚ called on NBC to fire McDaniel. Or as Mika couched it‚ "we hope NBC will reconsider its decision‚" to have hired former RNC chair McDaniel as a political commentator. MIKA: To be clear‚ we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage. But it should be conservative Republicans‚ not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier. And we hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on Morning Joe in her capacity as a paid contributor. Morning Joe hasn't attempted to have any actual conservative "balance" in years. Noah Rothman attempted to walk that "balance" line‚ but where did he go? Hilariously‚ Scarborough seemed to claim he was a conservative again. Nobody who's watched this show in the "Biden is obsessed with Joe" phase should buy that‚ but there he was: SCARBOROUGH: It's not about not wanting conservatives on the air. I'm conservative. And‚ check my record‚ I'm probably more conservative‚ I'm a lot more conservative than so many people that criticize me from the Trump right. And‚ but I was in politics. I'm here. Jon‚ you help the president from time to time with speeches. You're here. We've had other people on that are involved. Jen Psaki is. Of course‚ Nicolle Wallace is‚ worked for George W. Bush. MIKA: They bring value to the table and expertise. SCARBOROUGH: And they bring value to the table. So‚ yeah. Again‚ we encourage people to be partisan and fight for what they believe in. Let's review the other people who "bring value to the table." Value....for the leftist MSNBC base. Jon Meacham. Who serves as an occasional Biden speechwriter. Jen Psaki. A former Biden press secretary. And Nicolle Wallace! Scarborough had the chutzpah to describe her as having worked for George W. Bush -- as if that established her conservative bona fides. Scarborough knows full well that if Wallace was ever a conservative -- a dubious proposition -- she has turned into a flaming liberal and perhaps MSNBC's most ardent Trump antagonist! Meacham responded to all this talk of election denial by again proclaiming "I think there is a moral duty‚ if the choice is between Donald Trump and President Biden‚ to vote for President Biden‚ despite any policy disagreements you might have." These brave anti-Ronna dissidents at NBC and MSNBC have a very broad definition of "election denier" -- you can't say Biden won‚ but the election wasn't fair. You can't complain about Big Tech squashing the Hunter Biden laptop story‚ and you can't complain about ZuckerBucks flowing into liberal areas for turnout‚ or loosening all the voter eligibility rules for the pandemic. If Joe wanted actual conservatives on the show -- the kind who would criticize Democrat policies in general‚ and Biden in particular‚ without being MAGA members‚ they abound. CNN‚ for example‚ managed to find and hire Scott Jennings‚ an actual non-Trumpian conservative. He's rare‚ but he's there. Here's the transcript. MSNBC Morning Joe 3/25/24 6:13 am EDT MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Let's talk about the hiring of former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel. JOE SCARBOROUGH: Well‚ she was on Sunday's Meet the Press. It was her first appearance since NBC News hired her as a political analyst. I know you won't be surprised to know that we've been inundated ith calls this weekend‚ as have most people connected with this network‚ about NBC's decision to hire her. We learned about the hiring when we read about it in the press on Friday. We weren't asked our opinion of the hiring‚ but if we were‚ we would have strongly objected to it for several reasons‚ including but not limited to‚ as lawyers might say‚ Ms. McDaniel's role in Donald Trump's fake elector scheme‚ and her pressuring election officials to not certify election results while Donald Trump was on the phone. MIKA: To be clear‚ we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage. But it should be conservative Republicans‚ not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier. And we hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on Morning Joe in her capacity as a paid contributor. . . . SCARBOROUGH: She really summed up the sickness in the Republican party. When asked by Kristen Welker‚ why did you go along with the whitewashing of political violence? Why didn't you speak out against those who tried to overturn American democracy‚ those who beat the hell out of cops‚ those who rioted at the United States Capitol at the instruction of Donald Trump‚ the guidance of Donald Trump‚ the inspiration of Donald Trump? Why not? She said‚ sometimes you have to take one for the team. . . . JON MEACHAM: Taking one for the team is the problem. Because the team is not as important as the rule of law‚ the Constitution. . . . SCARBOROUGH: The team‚ I guess it's how we define the team. For me‚ the team is a pyramid. It's God‚ country‚ Constitution‚ for me‚ conservatism. For others‚ it's being progressive. It's liberalism. That's how it goes. Politicians and parties‚ for me‚ have always been at the bottom of -- of that list. And for some reason‚ it's been inverted. So instead of God‚ country‚ Constitution‚ conservatism‚ and then politicians and party‚ it's been inverted. And now‚ it is Donald Trump. MIKA: Personality. SCARBOROUGH: It's Donald Trump. And everything flows from that. So when -- I guess I shouldn't -- when I hear that‚ again‚ very clarifying‚ I guess I should -- I guess I shouldn't be staying up trying to figure out what happened to them. This is what happened to them. They completely -- their value system flipped‚ and Donald Trump's on top. And everything that's done goes through that filter. And everything is justified. Everything he does is justified. Political violence is justified. His lifestyle is justified. His hatred is justified. His racism is justified. All the things my friends would have spoken out about when I was growing up. When Bill Clinton was president‚ when they were so shocked‚ stunned‚ and deeply saddened by Bill Clinton. Now‚ the pyramid is flipped. . . . MEACHAM: I believe -- and I never thought I would say this -- I think there is a moral duty‚ if the choice is between Donald Trump and President Biden‚ to vote for President Biden‚ despite any policy disagreements you might have. Because whatever else you want to say about President Biden‚ he believes in the Constitution. . . . SCARBOROUGH: It's not about not wanting conservatives on the air.

Is Health Monitoring Cat Litter Worth It? Vet-Reviewed Facts &; FAQ

Click to Skip Ahead What Is Health Monitoring Cat Litter? How It Works Is It Worth It? Frequently Asked Questions Health monitoring cat litter is a relatively new invention that provides insight into your cat’s health by changing color if it detects any health issues. While it sounds ideal‚ is it too good to be true? Read on to learn how color-changing cat litter works and whether it’s worth the higher cost. What Is Health Monitoring Cat Litter? Health monitoring cat litter claims to provide insight into your pet’s health by analyzing their urine. Most of these litters are made from silica gel crystals versus traditional clay so they can be coated with a safe and specialized pH detector. Though these litters are not intended to diagnose your kitty‚ they may be able to help you catch issues as they develop when it’s still easy to treat them. Image Credit: Yaya Photos‚ Shutterstock How Does Health Monitoring Cat Litter Work? Health monitoring litter is essentially cat litter that changes color depending on your cat’s health. It generally works by reacting to the pH of your cat’s urine. The crystals come out of the box or bag colorless but can change color according to the pH levels of your cat’s pee. When your kitty’s pee comes into contact with the litter crystals‚ it can turn one of several colors. Let’s look at Pretty Litter‚ for example. This is perhaps the most well-known health monitoring litter on the market. If the litter turns dark yellow or olive green after your kitty uses it‚ it indicates healthy and “typical” urine. If the litter turns blue‚ your cat’s urine is more alkaline than is typical‚ which can indicate certain kinds of urinary tract infections. Orange litter indicates a more acidic urine‚ which may mean your kitty has a medical issue. Finally‚ litter that turns red means blood is present in your cat’s urine. This is important as it can tell you that your cat has bladder crystals‚ urinary tract disorders‚ or certain kinds of kidney diseases. Is Health Monitoring Kitty Litter Worth It? There are some things to consider before dropping your hard-earned cash on health monitoring litters. 1. It Doesn’t Provide a Diagnosis It’s important to remember that health monitoring cat litter is designed to be a tool‚ not a diagnosis. It’s also essential you recognize that any results from your cat litter could be inaccurate. Unlike dogs‚ cats rarely have pH changes with bladder infections‚ or urinary stones‚ therefore‚ you may miss many of the issues the litter is designed to detect. Additionally‚ the color changes in the litter can be hard to distinguish and not as easy to read as the litter manufacturers would lead you to believe. While health monitoring litter can provide some vague insight into your cat’s health‚ only a licensed veterinarian can make a diagnosis. Image Credit: Yaya Photos‚ Shutterstock 2. Not All Cats Like It Most health monitoring litters are made of an amorphous silica gel‚ a safe and non-toxic material. The silica gel crystals are highly absorbent and non-clumping‚ properties some cat owners may prefer. However‚ studies show that most cats prefer smaller litter pellets‚ which can include clay-based litter. Switching your picky kitty from his preferred clay-based litter to one of silica gel construction could spell disaster. It can lead to inappropriate litter box habits‚ such as eliminating outside of the box and an outright refusal to use the litter altogether. 3. It’s Pricey Health monitoring cat litter can be expensive‚ especially for a multi-cat household. Using Pretty Litter as an example again‚ their website claims you can provide litter for a single cat for $24 per month. However‚ a single bag will not be enough for two or more cats. Ultimately‚ how much you’ll spend on your litter will depend on several factors‚ including the size of your litter box‚ your cleaning diligence‚ the size of your cats‚ and their food consumption. If we’re using Pretty Litter as an example again‚ you can expect to pay between $22 and $24 per bag. Image Credit: Alexandra Morosanu‚ Shutterstock Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Are all health-monitoring cat litters made with silica gel? It looks like silica gel is the main component of most health-monitoring cat litter. Sometimes the silica gel is called “crystals”. How long can I use this litter? It is important to remove any urine or feces from a cat’s litter box daily to ensure the husbandry of your cat (and the smell of your house!). The same goes for health monitoring litter. However‚ many of these health-monitoring litters need to be changed and replaced with fresh litter every 20 to 30 days (as with many other litters).

Why Is My Dog’s Tongue Purple? 3 Vet-Reviewed Reasons

Why Is My Dog’s Tongue Purple? 3 Vet-Reviewed Reasons

Many dogs have a pink tongue‚ but if yours has a blue or purple tongue‚ it’s more common than you think. Some dog breeds are known for having a purple tongue‚ such as the Chow Chow‚ and others may have purple spots. However‚ there are occasions in which a purple or blue tongue is a cause for concern. Read more about the three reasons a dog’s tongue is purple. The 3 Reasons Why Your Dog’s Tongue Is Purple 1. Genetics Several breeds have a bluish or purple tongue naturally because of their breed’s distribution of melanin. This is the natural pigment that gives skin‚ hair‚ and eyes their color. In dogs‚ it’s normal for some areas to have dark points‚ such as their paws‚ noses‚ lips‚ and eyelids. When your dog’s tongue or gums are blue‚ black‚ or purple‚ it can be caused by an overproduction of melanocytes—the cells that produce melanin. Only a few dog breeds have purple or blue tongues as a genetic trait. Chow Chows have two specific genes‚ ASIP and PDPK1‚ that relate to pigmentation. Other breeds that are known for having a black or purple tongue include the Chinese Shar Pei‚ the Eurasier‚ which can have a solid or spotted blue-black tongue‚ and the Thai Ridgeback. Instead of having a purple tongue‚ some breeds have blue‚ purple‚ or black spots on their tongues. This is related to the melanin‚ but they aren’t a guaranteed breed trait like they are in the Chow Chow. Australian Shepherds‚ Akitas‚ German Shepherds‚ Labrador Retrievers‚ Golden Retrievers‚ Newfoundlands‚ Pomeranians‚ and Siberian Huskies may also have spotted tongues. Image Credit: Colin Seddon‚ Shutterstock 2. Oral Cancers If your dog never had purple or blue spots on their tongue‚ or the spots have changed considerably‚ it could be caused by certain oral cancers like melanomas. Malignant melanomas often have black or brown pigmentation‚ but not always. Male dogs with heavily pigmented tongues may be more susceptible. Some oral cancers have bumps or lumps that are raised‚ bleeding‚ or inflamed‚ which is cause for concern. Make sure to take your dog to the vet if you notice any changes in your dog’s mouth. In addition to a distinct lump or bump‚ oral tumors will typically cause other signs like difficulty chewing or swallowing food‚ dropping food out of the mouth while eating‚ drooling‚ or not wanting to eat at all. Tooth loss‚ bad breath‚ and periodontal disease may also occur. 3. Cyanosis Sometimes‚ a blue tongue can be a sign of an emergency. If your dog’s tongue has never been blue or purple and suddenly turns that color‚ particularly with difficulty breathing‚ this can indicate cyanosis. This happens when there is not enough oxygen being carried to the body by the red blood cells. There are many possible causes of cyanosis‚ such as heart issues‚ blood clots‚ high blood pressure in the lungs‚ immune-mediated hemolytic anemia‚ pneumonia‚ tracheal collapse‚ parasite infestation‚ smoke inhalation‚ and trauma. Regardless of its cause‚ cyanosis is a veterinary emergency and requires prompt treatment. Your vet will not only need to stabilize your dog but determine the underlying cause. Once your dog is stabilized‚ the treatment and prognosis will depend on what the root cause is and whether it can be treated effectively. Image Credit: Bokstaz‚ Shutterstock Legends About Purple-Tongued Dogs Asian breeds with blue or purple tongues‚ such as the Chow Chow‚ have been the focus of legends going back to 206 BC China. With no explanation for this unique trait‚ people have come up with several fictional explanations. One myth is that during the creation of the world‚ the Chow Chow had been allowed to lick up pieces of blue sky that had fallen to earth during the time when the stars were put into place. Another explanation suggests that Chow Chows got their tongues from bears due to their bear-like appearance. Conclusion Blue and purple tongues may be an unusual sight among the common pink tongues for dogs‚ but it’s often completely normal. In the case of dogs like the Chow‚ it’s a well-known breed trait‚ and with others‚ a fully purple tongue or dark spots are perfectly harmless expressions of the genes that created the breed. However‚ a purple tongue is a cause for concern if it turns purple or blue suddenly‚ or if you notice new or changing spots. Mexico's leftist president tries to extort America‚ demanding policy concessions and cash for help with border

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has roughly six months left in office. It appears in that time‚ he will continue to alienate the U.S. and curry favor with his country's terroristic cartels. Obrador revealed Friday that he won't combat Mexican drug cartels at the request of the American government‚ suggesting that doing so would run contrary to his "Mexico First" policy. This announcement and the disturbing insinuations that accompanied it come just weeks after Obrador underlined what he expects from the U.S. in exchange for Mexico's cooperation in remedying the crisis at the border. Mexico's fault‚ America's problem According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics‚ drug overdose deaths are up 30% year over year. There are over 96‚700 fatal drug overdoses every year‚ 72% of which are from opioids. Much of that fatal opioid supply comes from Mexico. Often using precursors provided by the communist Chinese‚ Mexican cartels manufacture and traffic the drugs over the porous U.S.-Mexico border. Obrador nevertheless suggested Friday that the drugs are a uniquely American problem‚ not a Mexican problem‚ reported the Associated Press. The leftist president has repeatedly emphasized that demand‚ not supply‚ is the problem. Last year‚ Obrador suggested the fentanyl crisis was caused by a "lack of hugs‚ of embraces." "There is a lot of disintegration of families‚ there is a lot of individualism‚ there is a lack of love‚ of brotherhood‚ of hugs and embraces‚" said Obrador. "That is why they [U.S. officials] should be dedicating funds to address the causes." After displacing blame over the opioid crisis once again‚ Obrador said in an interview with CBS News' "60 Minutes" Friday‚ "We are not going to act as policemen for any foreign government." "Mexico first. Our home comes first‚" said Obrador. The outgoing president added‚ "Of course we are going to cooperate in fighting drugs‚ above all because it has become a very sensitive‚ very sad humanitarian issue‚ because a lot of people are dying in the United States because of fentanyl." While Obrador provided a nationalistic rationale for not helping the U.S. tackle the cartels‚ he might have less noble reasons for failing to tackle his country's criminal elements. Cartel links The New York Times reported last month that American law enforcement officials have looked into allegations that elements of Obrador's regime have met with and taken millions of dollars from drug cartels — allegations the leftist president has called "completely false." While it has long been understood that the cartels have infiltrated the Mexican state‚ it is unclear how far the corruption extends. One informant reportedly told U.S. investigators that Obrador's closest confidants met with Ismael Zambada García‚ a senior leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel‚ before the Mexican president's 2018 electoral victory. Another informant told the investigators that following Obrador's election‚ the funder of the Zetas cartel gave the leftist president's allies $4 million in hopes of getting freed from prison. One source claimed to have videos of the president's son picking up drug money. There have been other allegations‚ including those detailed by ProPublica‚ that drug traffickers poured millions of dollars into Obrador's first campaign in return for him turning a blind eye to their operations while in power. Obrador coincidentally campaigned on a "hugs‚ not bullets" approach to the drug war and has advocated against "demonizing" the cartels. Extortion Earlier this month‚ the New York Times reported that Obrador expects the Biden administration to confer legal status upon at least 5 million illegal aliens from Mexico presently residing in the U.S. His demands did not stop at amnesty for those flouting American immigration law. Obrador also expects the Biden administration to call off its sanctions against Venezuela‚ lift the blockade against Cuba‚ and pour $20 billion every year into Latin American and Caribbean countries. The Mexican regime‚ which announced last week it would refuse to accept deportees from Texas‚ has demonstrated in recent months that it is capable of damming the northward flood of illegal aliens. CBS News reported that after over 250‚000 illegal aliens stormed across the U.S.-Mexico border in December‚ Biden asked Mexico to contain the flow of migrants. Temporarily obliging the U.S. government‚ Mexico managed to help bring down the number of border crossings by 50%. Obrador told "60 Minutes" that Mexico managed this reduction by being "more careful" about its own southern border as well as by asking the Cuban and Venezuelan regimes to help curb the flow of migrants. Mexico reportedly also increased patrols at the border‚ deported migrants‚ and flew others to the south of the country. These efforts apparently were short-lived‚ as border-crossing numbers have recently begun to significantly spike again. When pressed on what will happen if he does not get his way‚ Obrador told "60 Minutes" that "the flow of migrants will continue." In addition to threatening to continue unlawfully exporting migrants to the U.S.‚ Obrador claimed former President Donald Trump's threats to close the border and finish the border wall — a wall now supported by the majority of Americans — amounted to bluffs "because he needs Mexico." — (@) Some American lawmakers were prickled by Obrador's threat. Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wisc.) wrote‚ "Mexico's corrupt leader is not our friend." Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) tweeted‚ "This is a war. He is basically saying either we meet his demands or the invasion continues." Voters will soon have an opportunity to test Obrador's theory about whether Trump is bluffing about walling off the border. Trump has also contemplated doing what Obrador appears unwilling to do: Use military force to reduce the cartels to ash. Trump is not the only Republican who has advocated for exterminating Mexican drug traffickers with extreme prejudice. Reps. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) and Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) introduced a resolution last year that would "authorize the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for trafficking fentanyl or a fentanyl-related substance into the United States or carrying out other related activities that cause regional destabilization in the Western Hemisphere." The resolution did not advance in the previously Democrat-controlled Congress. Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 'This is awesome!' UFC President Dana White doubles bonus for fighter who was bitten after seeing how he celebrated the win

A UFC fighter was awarded a one-of-a-kind performance bonus after being bitten by an opponent during a fight. Following the bout‚ UFC President Dana White decided to double that bonus after he saw how the fighter celebrated his victory.Flyweight fighter Andre Lima remained undefeated after a fellow undefeated fighter‚ Igor Severino‚ sullied his record via disqualification for biting Lima on the bicep about halfway through the second round. "He bit me while I was trying to take him down‚ as you can see‚" Lima told the UFC through a translator after the fight.Lima explained the importance of the victory due in part to the fact that one of his coaches had actually paid his rent throughout his training camp."I went down‚ but I got back up‚ and as I was getting up I yelled because I felt pain‚ a very sharp pain‚ and I really thought that the fence had gotten into me. I thought that’s what happened‚" Lima said‚ according to BJPenn.com. "I started yelling‚ ‘Ouch‚ ouch‚ ouch‚’ and they started looking at me. I don’t know what’s happening‚ but I really thought it was the fence because there was absolutely no way that he would bite me‚ especially because the fight was going back and forth." Andre Lima picks up the win over Igor Severino due to a DQ from Severino‚ who bit Lima’s arm 😳 #UFCVegas89 — (@) Severino was fired by the UFC following the fight‚ while at the same time Lima was awarded $25‚000 by the company's president. As usual‚ the company promoted its "Fight of the Night" and "Performance of the Night" bonuses on their social media channels. This was followed by an unexpected award to Lima for the inaugural "Bite of the Night" bonus."Tonight's [Bite of the Night]💰💰‚" the UFC wrote on Instagram. View this post on Instagram A post shared by UFC (@ufc) After learning about his bonus‚ Lima decided to commemorate the bite mark on his arm and actually had the wound outlined with a tattoo."I Got F**king Bit Bonus‚" Lima's tattoo read. After publicizing his new ink on his social media‚ White got wind of the tattoo and posted an image of the artwork on his own social media page coupled with an announcement that he was going to double Lima's bite bonus."I was going to give him 25k‚" White wrote on Instagram‚ per Low Kick MMA. "Now I'm giving him 50k. This is AWESOME!" 50k 💴 — (@) "Those were two up-and-coming undefeated fighters‚" White reportedly told writer Kevin Iole. "If you get frustrated and want out of the fight‚ there are plenty of ways to do it‚ but the worst thing you can do is bite your opponent. Now‚ you get cut and lose the biggest opportunity of your life."White also noted that the disqualification would cause problems for Severino with the Nevada State Athletic Commission.Like Blaze News? These studies suggest we might be VERY wrong about Gen Z

Gen Z – those born between the years 1997 and 2012 – get a bad rap. They’re often characterized as lazy‚ entitled‚ chronically anxious tech addicts. And while there may be some truth to that stereotype‚ statistics show that Zoomers are actually better than we’ve been led to believe. Isabel Brown‚ a Gen Z author and conservative voice‚ shared some pleasantly surprising news with Dave Rubin about America’s most challenging generation. Due to smart devices and advancing technology‚ modern society has adapted to be heavily virtual‚ and apparently Gen Z is tired of it. “Gen Z is saying‚ ‘You know‚ we want a little bit more than that. We want more substance; we want more purpose‚'” says Isabel‚ adding that “dating is maybe the best example of what that looks like.” “There are several articles that have come out in the last few months about how Match‚ the group which owns Tinder and Hinge and several other competing companies‚ is freaking out about how to retain Gen Z as a customer base because 90%+ of us say we’ve had horrible experiences on the app‚” she explains. But online dating isn’t the only table Gen Z is turning. “Gen Z women are overwhelmingly throwing away our birth control because no matter where you fall in the partisan political spectrum [and] no matter what your intimacy life looks like‚ we realize we're feeling really sick‚ and we're slowly poisoning ourselves in the process‚” says Isabel. But this next statistic might be the most shocking. According to “a study that just came out‚” “93% of us … still want to get married‚” she tells Dave‚ adding that this is most surprising because we’re currently living “in a time where we have the lowest marriage rate in American history.” Further‚ despite what we’ve been told‚ “Gen Z is actually breaking more conservative than at least the two previous generations‚” which is the crux of Isabel’s newest book‚ “The End of the Alphabet.” “When I say [conservative]‚ it doesn’t necessarily mean the red MAGA hat‚” she says. Rather‚ it means “ culturally embracing traditional values.” “What does every young generation have in common throughout all of human history?” she asks. “We want to rebel against the people who came before.” For Zoomers‚ “‘sticking it to the man’ is quite literally believing there is such a thing as objectivism. It means wanting to get married instead of sleep with as many people as humanly possible and follow the advice of the manosphere or the radical feminism community. It's wanting to have kids in a society that's begging you ‘don't have kids for the sake of your career‚ for the sake of the environment‚ for the sake of your personal life.”’ Even the hustle and bustle of city life‚ which generally attracts a younger crowd‚ is becoming less desirable. Studies show that “we’re moving out of big cities” because “we want more suburban or rural areas to reconnect with nature‚” says Isabel‚ adding that younger generations are also “eating real food in a time where everything is hyper-processed or full of chemicals or even grown in a laboratory.” But perhaps most shocking of all is that Gen Z is embracing the idea of a higher power again. To hear more about this unexpected renewed interest in God despite “our hyper-atheistic society‚” watch the clip below. Boeing CEO‚ top executives to step down amid safety scandal

Boeing announced that CEO Dave Calhoun and other top executives will step down as part of a management shake-up prompted by safety and quality concerns over a mid-flight door panel blowout earlier this year‚ CNBC News reported.Calhoun told Boeing employees on Monday that he would leave the company at the end of 2024."As you all know‚ the Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 accident was a watershed moment for Boeing‚" Calhoun wrote. "We must continue to respond to this accident with humility and complete transparency. We also must inculcate a total commitment to safety and quality at every level of our company.""The eyes of the world are on us‚ and I know we will come through this moment a better company‚ building on all the learnings we accumulated as we worked together to rebuild Boeing over the last number of years‚" Calhoun added. He told CNBC that the decision to step down was "100%" his own.Calhoun took over the position in January 2020 after two plane crashes — one in 2018 and another in 2019 — prompted the company's board to fire his predecessor‚ Dennis A. Muilenburg. The crashes‚ which killed all on board‚ were caused by issues with the planes' flight stabilization feature.Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stan Deal also retired from the company‚ effective immediately‚ amid the management overhaul. He has been replaced by Stephanie Pope‚ Boeing's chief operating officer.Additionally‚ the chairman of the board‚ Larry Kellner‚ will resign and not seek reelection in May. Steve Mollenkopf‚ a Boeing director‚ will replace Kellner and lead the board in selecting a new CEO.In February‚ Deal told NBC News that the manufacturer had removed Ed Clark‚ the head of its 737 Max program. Clark managed Boeing's Renton‚ Washington‚ facility where the assembly of the Alaska Airlines plane involved in the January mid-flight panel blowout was assembled. At the time‚ Deal called the management reshuffling part of Boeing's "enhanced focus on ensuring that every airplane we deliver meets or exceeds all quality and safety requirements."The National Transportation Safety Board informed the Senate Commerce Committee earlier this month that Boeing is "unable to find records" for repairs made to the airplane that experienced the panel blowout. Before delivering the aircraft to Alaska Airlines‚ the plane underwent rivet repairs‚ which required the door panel to be temporarily removed."To date‚ we still do not know who performed the work to open‚ reinstall‚ and close the door plug on the accident aircraft‚" NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy wrote in a letter to senators. "Boeing has informed us that they are unable to find the records documenting this work."Boeing has repeatedly stated that it is cooperating with the NTSB's investigation into the incident."With respect to documentation‚ if the door plug removal was undocumented there would be no documentation to share‚" Boeing said.Like Blaze News? Will banning TikTok actually make a difference? 4 comedians weigh in

As debates rage over the TikTok bill‚ which would force the app’s Chinese parent‚ ByteDance‚ to sell the app‚ people find themselves conflicted. On one hand‚ TikTok allows China to collect and store Americans’ data‚ which could pose a national security threat. Further‚ it paves the way for Chinese propaganda to be fed to the American people. On the other side of the argument are those who cite the First Amendment as proof that a ban would be unlawful. It would also kneecap millions of businesses and influencers who depend on the app for revenue. So what’s the right answer? Here’s what four comedians have to say. “I don’t think it’s a good platform. I don’t think it’s healthy for people‚ but the only reason they want to ban it is because they can’t monetize it in that short amount of time‚” says Matt McClowry‚ who ultimately thinks the app “shouldn’t be banned.“ Dave Landau agrees – “There’s nothing behind [the ban] that is ... reasonable‚” especially considering that “[China is] already taking our information” via other data sources. Bridget Phetasy speculates that those in government who are pushing the ban are just threatened that China has some control over the narrative – “We are the ones who will be in control of the propaganda here‚ not you‚ China‚” she mocks. “I don’t want it banned‚” says ¼ Black Garrett‚ because “[TikTok users] are just gonna flock to Twitter.” “Somebody had a really funny underrated joke on Twitter‚ and they said‚ ‘[A ban] will solve the fast food worker shortage‚”’ laughs Bridget‚ adding that food servers will be “popping and locking” while you’re trying to order. “Can I get a number two when you’re done twerking?” laughs Dave. However‚ censorship is another thing to consider. “Literally‚ one in every two videos I post ends up getting taken down‚” says Dave. “You just have this AI robot arbitrarily deciding things are inappropriate‚ which is how we're gonna all die‚” says Matt. Marco Rubio leaves ABC News anchor stammering when he lays out the truth about Biden's record: 'But — but — but you're — but —'

ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl got more than he bargained for on Sunday when he asked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) about potentially being selected as Donald Trump's running mate.Last Thursday‚ Rubio said it would be an "honor" to serve as Trump's vice president‚ a comment that Karl could not understand."Really?" he asked Rubio.Rubio explained that he believes "anyone who is offered the opportunity to serve this country as vice president should be honored by the opportunity to do it." For anyone who loves his country‚ that's a standard and reasonable answer. And yet‚ Karl was bewildered that Rubio would take the job — because of Jan. 6‚ of course."The reason I asked — I mean‚ look what happened to the last guy‚" Karl said. "I mean‚ a mob stormed the Capitol‚ literally calling to hang Mike Pence."Rubio‚ however‚ was not in the mood for the media's petty political games and reminded Karl that America under President Joe Biden is much different from America under Trump."When Donald Trump was president of the United States‚ this country was safer. It was more prosperous‚" he said. "I think the country and the world was at a better place when he was president‚ and I would love to see him return to the White House compared to the guy who's there now‚ Joe Biden‚ who’s been a disaster economically."Look at the world. Every single day we wake up to a new crisis‚ to a new conflict‚" he continued. "Everything has gone on fire since the time Joe Biden took over. Afghanistan's gone down. Ukraine has been invaded. Now‚ the Philippines and the Chinese are on the verge of something bad happening every single day. Not to mention the threats to Taiwan. And we have this blowup in Haiti going on in our very own hemisphere. We wake up every single day‚ terrorist attacks‚ 9 million people across the border. That’s what matters to me." — (@) The strong defense of Trump left Karl stammering and defensive."But — but — but you're — but — I mean — I mean you're not suggesting that’s all happening because of Biden and everything?" the ABC News anchor followed up."Absolutely I am‚" Rubio confirmed."But — well‚ let me —" Karl stammered again."Absolutely I'm suggesting it’s happening because of Biden. He's president‚ and his weakness and his —" Rubio confirmed."Just because of Biden that — that Russia invaded Ukraine?" Karl followed up."Absolutely‚" Rubio said once more. "I mean Putin is sitting there saying‚ 'These guys can't even stand up to the Taliban and they have to fly people hanging off the wings of these airplanes. Now is the time to go.'"For some reason‚ Karl felt the need to continue bashing Trump. He claimed the former president wants a deal in the Ukraine war that "effectively gives Putin what he wants in Ukraine." But Rubio quickly called out that falsehood."That's not true‚" Rubio said. "What he has said is he wants the conflict to end‚ which is striking to me that people — why wouldn't people want peace?"Karl‚ however‚ did not answer that question. Instead‚ he shifted the interview to an entirely different topic.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!
