Joe Biden is convicted of illegal internet censorship

FOREIGN. The Biden administration violated the free speech provision of the US Constitution by asking internet giants to remove "disinformation" about covid-19 during the pandemic. A federal court has concluded that, reports the New York Times.
EU-style rules on "disinformation" and censorship by internet giants will not be able to be introduced in the US, unless the country plans to abandon its 235-year-old constitution. A federal high court has decided this week.
The court found that the White House and authorities had "forced the internet giants to make their censorship decisions by sending threatening messages and pressure" and threatening platforms with "dire consequences" if they did not enforce strict censorship.
The White House defended the push, saying the Justice Department was reviewing the ruling and considering an appeal.
The court ruled that Joe Biden had exceeded his authority by influencing the moderation decisions of social media platforms and that this was a violation of the protection of free speech in the US Constitution.
The decision is considered to be of great importance for freedom of expression in social media, where many people express their opinions and share information today.
