American College of Pediatricians Confirms Transitioning Kids is Not Beneficial

Hate to say we told you so‚ but… The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) just released a statement regarding transgender children. The Florida based group declared that‚ after extensive research‚ giving children gender affirming “care” has absolutely no benefits on the well-being of the child.  Say it a little louder for the people in the back.  The piece published on Wednesday indicated that the ACPeds reviewed over 60 studies and concluded the following:  Social transition‚ puberty blockers‚ and cross-sex hormones have no demonstrable‚ long-term benefit on psychosocial well-being of adolescents with gender dysphoria. The 60 studies all focused on the mental health of kids who struggle with gender dysphoria‚ and the ACPeds also released a factsheet to help properly provide the best for kids.   The factsheet noted a lot about what we’ve been seeing in transgender youth cases - many experience child abuse and neglect‚ treatments often lead kids to be suicidal‚ there’s little to no mental health benefits to these “gender-affirming” treatments and that many individuals who transition as kids end up embracing their biological gender as they get older. This point has been proven time and time again from those who detransitioned‚ many of whom fully regret the decisions they were enabled and encouraged to make as young kids that not only left them permanently damaged physically but worsened their mental health. Even a leftie outlet like The New York Times recently shed light on detransitioners stories and how harmful the transgender movement really is.   According to its website‚ “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is a national medical association of licensed physicians and healthcare professionals who specialize in the care of infants‚ children‚ and adolescents.” It was founded to be a voice of reason amongst the highly politicized treatment of children throughout the nation and seeks to help all children “reach their optimal physical and emotional health and well-being.” Dr. Jane Anderson‚ Vice President of ACPeds and lead author of the recent piece added a call to action for parents and medical professionals. "We urge medical professionals and parents to affirm the truth about childhood gender dysphoria in the presence of harmful thoughts and address the underlying mental illness‚ adverse events‚ and family dysfunction‚” she said.  Her colleague‚ Dr. Michael Artigues‚ president of ACPeds echoed her statement. The studies reviewed in this paper demonstrate what many who practice medicine intuitively understand that young patients experiencing gender dysphoria deserve help in accepting and loving themselves as they are‚ not interventions that destroy their healthy bodies and put them on track of  medicalization for life.” This group genuinely seeks the well-being of kids. Let’s hope the left‚ who seems to think they do the same‚ adopts this line of thinking and halts the mass destruction of young people’s healthy and able bodies. Genuflecting to the Chi-Coms: Microsoft Bing Censors Uyghur Genocide to Please Beijing

Genuflecting to the Chi-Coms: Microsoft Bing Censors Uyghur Genocide to Please Beijing

Microsoft’s Bing search engine is reportedly censoring content in Communist China to hide the government’s genocide against the Uyghurs. The New York Post reported on Feb. 8 that it had reviewed Bing image search results for “Uyghur” in both China and America. American users received images on Bing reflecting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) mass detention‚ oppression and abuse of the Uyghur minority in the Xinjiang province. But this isn’t what Chinese citizens are seeing. In an apparent kowtow to the Beijing government‚ Bing image results for “Uyghur” or “Uighur” in China instead depict celebrations and dancing‚ according to the Post. The Post provided screenshots of the “cheerful Uyghurs smiling and dancing” in what appear to be Bing search results in China tailored specifically to shield the CCP. The outlet also provided screenshots of the more honest search results in America‚ which highlight the CCP’s genocidal policies in Xinjiang‚ including the mass detention of over a million Uyghur Muslims‚ in addition to torture and sexual abuse. The U.S. State Department labeled these policies genocidal‚ as reported by the Post. The CCP has denied its human rights abuses‚ claiming the accusations are merely anti-China rhetoric. Uyghur Human Rights Project’s Louisa Coan Greve‚ Director of Global Advocacy‚ told the Post that the CCP “commodified” Uyghur culture while imprisoning the very musicians and poets it pretends to celebrate in concentration camps. “The CCP playbook to get away with atrocities was first to hide‚ and then deny‚ and then justify the brutality as ‘re-education.’ Now Microsoft is helping with the next step‚” Greve argued. Microsoft founder Bill Gates has long been enamored of the CCP‚ even meeting Chinese dictator Xi Jinping for one-on-one talks last year‚ the Post reported. “Results from a search in the US for ‘Uighurs’ show links to news stories which mention ‘oppression’ and ‘suffering‚’ and images of Uyghurs wearing masks in the sky blue of the ethnic group’s flag in protest at the Chinese government‚” the Post explained. But‚ the outlet added‚ “results using a Chinese VPN to mirror domestic Chinese results show images of Uyghur people singing and dancing.”  Bing‚ in effect‚ is projecting two different realities for the sake of genuflecting to its Beijing overlords. After all‚ Microsoft makes no bones about its deep connections with the Communist state. Gates established Microsoft in China over two decades ago‚ and the company brags that it expanded so that its “most complete subsidiary and largest R&;D center outside the United States is in China.” The Post referred to Microsoft as “the world’s most valuable company.” A Microsoft spokesperson tried his hand at gaslighting by claiming that the differing results in America and China “may vary due to a variety of factors including the language used.” Thus searches on Bing in different languages can return different results‚ the spokesperson spun the Post’s discovery. The Post noted that Microsoft has previously been caught pandering to the CCP‚ including not displaying Tiananmen Square images in 2021. Conservatives are under attack. Rod Dreher: Jambalya beats chili as Super Bowl grub

Super Bowl Sunday is days away. What to eat? Certainly something hearty yet easy to prepare: a big pot that can be left simmering on the stove for you and any guests to dip into as needed. Louisiana native‚ Budapest-based expat‚ and all-around bon vivant Rod Dreher urges you to take the Jambalaya Option. He writes: Good morning from the banks of the Danube ("It Ain't the Mississippi‚ but It's Aight"â„¢). What a lovely request! Happy to oblige with the best jambalaya recipe I know: the one that belonged to my late father‚ whom the grandkids called "Paw." I don't have Uncle Ben's over here‚ so I use normal rice‚ but I can't remember off the top of my head how to adjust the recipe‚ so I'm just going to cut and paste the recipe in‚ as it was given to me exactly by my dad‚ who died in 2015. Paw’s Jambalaya 4 chicken breasts 3 links andouille sausage (or kielbasa-style smoked sausage) 3 stalks celery‚ cut into ¼-inch pieces 1 large onion‚ diced 2 green bell peppers‚ diced 3-4 cloves garlic‚ minced 2 cups Uncle Ben’s converted rice ½ cup vegetable oil plus about 3 tablespoons for browning ½ cup all-purpose flour salt and pepper to taste 2 bay leaves 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper‚ or to taste Gently boil chicken in salted water‚ then allow it to cool. Set aside about 4 cups of chicken cooking water for later use. Tear cooled chicken into roughly 1-inch chunks. Cut sausage into ½-inch rounds‚ then brown it well over medium-high heat in about 1 tablespoon of oil. Remove sausage with a slotted spoon and place on a paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Sauté celery‚ onion‚ bell pepper‚ and garlic in remaining oil‚ adding another tablespoon if pot seems too dry. Remove vegetables with a spoon and save for later use. Make a roux by adding oil and flour to pot. Cook over medium-low heat‚ stirring constantly‚ until roux turns dark brown in color (a bit past the color of peanut butter‚ but well before it smells like burning). As soon as roux reaches its ideal color‚ add vegetables‚ then sausage and chicken. Add reserved 4 cups of chicken cooking water‚ then rice. Stir entire mixture well. Add salt‚ pepper‚ bay leaves‚ and about 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper‚ then stir again. Bring mixture to a low boil‚ then cover pot and turn heat down as low as possible. Leave top on for one hour‚ then check to make sure rice is fully cooked. Adjust seasonings and serve warm.

It’s time to admit Russia won the war and stop funding Ukraine

It’s time to admit Russia won the war and stop funding Ukraine

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars‚ but don’t be alarmed. Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin must rank as one of the most surreal moments in internet history. A dissident journalist sits down with the leader of a country we’re ostensibly at war with to discuss his side of the story and explain why your government has been lying to you‚ broadcasted on X. The internet remains undefeated. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians‚ kinetic warfare defeated sanctions and tweets. Your eyes may have glazed over when Professor Putin delivered a 20-minute lecture about Ukrainian history stretching back to 862. Even Carlson seemed bored. But that history is crucial to understanding the present war. I’ve traveled in that region‚ and history is essential to Russians in a way that’s hard for Westerners to grasp. It’s not stories in a book or some statue; it’s an indispensable tie to their ancestors and land. The broad outline Putin sketched is correct‚ although he painted a rosy picture of Soviet behavior toward Poland in the run-up to World War II. You don’t need to be a Russian scholar‚ however‚ to understand that the current conflict is much older and more complicated than Americans realize. Kyiv and the region are tied to the central founding of the Rus people. Crimea has been historically Russian territory since Catherine the Great defeated the Ottomans in 1783. The modern borders of the country include millions of ethnic Russians. The CIA overthrew the pro-Russian government in Kyiv in 2014‚ and NATO expansion has been viewed by Russia as an existential threat. These are historical facts. One big psyop RINGO CHIU/Getty It doesn’t matter whether Russia was or wasn’t justified in invading Ukraine. That isn’t how geopolitics works. A nuclear power felt threatened by a neighbor it viewed as being in its sphere of influence and decided to act. Historians a hundred years from now will have to determine whether it was prudent. What is becoming more apparent is the digital psyop we’ve been living under for two years. One can only speculate how‚ in the course of a week‚ Americans went from being unable to find Ukraine on a map to having every Twitter bio and yard in the country draped in yellow and blue. Everywhere you turned‚ you were inundated with propaganda extolling you to support the plucky Ukrainians in their fight against the evil Russians. The Ghost of Kyiv shot down 27 Russian jets in one sortie. One doesn’t need to be Alex Jones to wonder if our war-crazed intelligence services working with Big Tech had something to do with it. Regardless‚ a narrative took hold that Putin was Hitler 2.0‚ except worse‚ and if we didn’t give one of the most corrupt countries on earth $100 billion in cash and weapons‚ Russian tanks would be rolling through Germany in no time. A lot of well-meaning but naïve people fell for it. The mainstream media never bothered to ask if involving ourselves in a ground war in Eastern Europe with a nuclear power was a good idea. How was Ukraine going to defeat Russia? Was spending hundreds of billions of dollars to liberate Donetsk a wise use of treasure when we had just lost a war and Americans were struggling to afford groceries? Everyone asking these questions was called a Russian agent. Digital warfare Instead‚ we were promised that money and swarm warfare would destroy this paper Siberian tiger and restore sacred democracy. How exciting! Instead of Americans dying‚ we could all just tweet and send our hard-earned tax dollars and watch all the gory GoPro war footage online. A network swarm attack is a modern tactic emerging from the information age. Once called into action‚ it mobilizes individuals‚ networks‚ companies‚ and governments in a digital hive mind to take down a target. Free of geographical and bureaucratic constraints‚ this decentralized organizational structure is a fearsome weapon. It promised the ability to confront and defeat a nuclear power without getting our hands dirty. The cultural‚ financial‚ military‚ journalistic‚ and academic elite all reached the same conclusion immediately: Defeat Russia. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians‚ kinetic warfare defeated sanctions and tweets. A year ago‚ I reported on how the sanctions against Russia were fake and‚ 92% of Western companies never stopped doing business there‚ and Russia was able to continue selling its oil and wheat. From that piece: Lindsey Graham and the other armchair generals seem determined to fight to the last Ukrainian. However‚ it might be wise to look to Russian history. Whether they’re fighting the Wehrmacht‚ Charles XII‚ Lundendorff‚ or Napoleon‚ Russian wars have followed a pattern: horrific logistical disasters resulting in catastrophic casualties in the first year‚ followed by an overwhelming counterattack of men and artillery. Russia just announced a new draft to expand to 1.5 million soldiers. As Stalin once quipped‚ “Quantity has a quality all its own.” Peace with honor DELIL SOULEIMAN/Getty It’s time we recognize that the war is over and Russia won. Maybe pretending a corrupt comedian was the reincarnation of Winston Churchill was a mistake. Unless NATO invades‚ the tattered remnants of the Ukrainian military aren’t going to dislodge entrenched Russian armor and artillery on the open steppes of Eastern Ukraine. The United States will return Alaska before Russia gives up its warm-water port in Crimea. The war will end with a negotiated settlement — the way almost all wars conclude — or it will end with nukes. This entire misadventure has been an embarrassment for American foreign policy. It has accomplished nothing other than the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and hundreds of billions of your hard-earned tax dollars evaporating into Swiss bank accounts and Raytheon’s coffers. There were some comedic moments‚ too. Jon Stewart gave an award to an Azov soldier with a visible Nazi tattoo at Disney World‚ and Sean Penn gave his Oscar to Volodomyr Zelenskyy. Who said empire couldn’t be funny? On the other hand‚ the ghouls running our government are at this moment trying to give Zelenskyy another $60 billion to keep the war going. Why? To protect the sanctity of democracy and the Ukrainian border? Please. If democracy has brought you a government run by people intent on gelding your sons and opening our southern border to millions of third-world invaders‚ one must wonder about the benefits of the institution. You don’t have to be a Putin shill to believe it’s time for us to stop funding this quagmire.

Reporter hits unhinged Joe Scarborough with reality check about the special counsel report‚ Biden's memory problems

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough voiced his anger at special counsel Robert Hur on Friday but quickly learned why details about President Joe Biden's cognitive condition were necessary for his report. On his show "Morning Joe‚" Scarborough repeatedly attacked Hur‚ sarcastically calling him a "neurologist" — presumably for Hur's conclusions about Biden's memory — and claimed Hur graduated from "Trump University." Scarborough raged that Hur made "politically charged" conclusions in a "garbage" report with "Trump-like ramblings."MSNBC reporter Ken Dilanian promptly popped Scarborough's bubble.According to Dilanian‚ who spoke with Justice Department officials‚ the details about Biden's memory are necessary because Hur has to justify why he is not prosecuting Biden despite uncovering evidence that Biden broke the law."If Rob Hur is saying‚ 'I have evidence that Joe Biden willfully retained classified information‚' then‚ in fact‚ [Biden] didn't just find those documents in 2022 as we all thought. He actually found them in 2017‚ and he’s recorded saying that to his ghostwriter‚" Dilanian explained. "So why isn't [Hur] charging him? Well‚ he has to explain that. So the explanation is Joe Biden said he didn't remember."He was recorded saying‚ 'I found classified documents in my house in Virginia‚' to the ghostwriter. He's recorded disclosing classified information to the ghostwriter‚ according to this report‚" he continued. "But he says he forgot that. So Rob Hur has to explain that‚ in fact‚ the larger context here is that Mr. Biden has forgotten a lot of things." Watch Morning Joe Highlights: Feb. 9 | MSNBC www.youtube.com Former U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg also explained why Hur was ethically obligated to include details about Biden's memory.Rosenberg said:So‚ number one: Under the special counsel regulations‚ Hur‚ the special counsel‚ has an obligation. He shall write a report. He must write a report. If you're writing a report to the attorney general of the United States and you are recommending that someone not be prosecuted‚ which I think is the right recommendation‚ then you would tell the attorney general why you think that person ought not be prosecuted.I was a federal prosecutor for a long time. We assess our witnesses. We assess our cases. We talk about them. We talk about it. We talk about the factors that we think will and will not play in front of the jury. If Rob Hur's assessment was that Mr. Biden was sympathetic or that he had a faulty memory — that is absolutely something you would tell the attorney general in a confidential report."So‚ it doesn't make sense to me that if I'm telling the attorney general of the United States why someone ought not to be prosecuted‚ that I wouldn't also tell him exactly why I came to that conclusion‚" Rosenberg concluded.Scarborough‚ however‚ was not convinced and repeated his attacks of Hur throughout the show. Last week‚ Axios revealed that Scarborough maintains a personal relationship with President Biden.Like Blaze News? Super Bowl chili? A world champion weighs in

It’s not as if we don’t have enough to argue about these days. The border. The economy. Whether or not Taylor Swift should be added to the Chiefs' coaching staff. Do we really need another contentious debate to divide us? Even I‚ who spend my days gleefully lobbing truth grenades into the bunkers of conventional automative wisdom (ask me about electric cars sometime — or don’t!) could use a little peace. But this‚ my friends‚ is important. The eternal question You see‚ this Sunday is a very special day‚ in which more arguments will be won‚ lost‚ or fought to a draw than in almost any other. Forget the banalities of politics‚ religion‚ and how many cases of powdered eggs you need to get through the apocalypse. This Sunday‚ two rivals will meet in pitched battle to settle what I call “the eternal question.” Beans or no beans? My first taste of Texas chili wasn’t what I was used to at all. Beefy‚ hearty‚ thick but not too thick‚ with deep flavor tones‚ complex‚ spicy but not crazy hot‚ and earthy. Yes‚ yes‚ the Chiefs are also playing the 49ers. But the real stars here are our nation’s chili cooks. On no other day do we consume as much of the stuff as on Super Bowl Sunday. Who am I to judge this matter? I’m glad you asked. Down toward the bottom of my life’s great accomplishments — ok‚ so it’s a 3x5 card‚ but still — you’ll find that I’m a past Chili Appreciation Society International world chili champ. Please hold your applause. The Terlingua way The annual cookoff is held in Terlingua‚ Texas‚ right along the Rio Grande in Big Bend National Park. Every November‚ cooks who qualify via a points system in events all over the United States and abroad will gather to determine who’s got the best pot of “Red” for that year. If you’re a fellow car fanatic (or if you’ve seen “Ford v Ferrari”)‚ you’re familiar with Carroll Shelby‚ the inventor of the Shelby Cobra and Shelby Mustang. What you may not know is that Texas native Shelby was also a chili pioneer. He originated the cookoff with Dallas columnist Frank Tolbert‚ whom I first met while working on air at WFAA in Dallas. He was as authentic and irascible a Texas character as ever was dreamed up. Tolbert invited me to become a “celebrity judge” for one of the events‚ and I complied — and quickly fell in love with the culture‚ the people‚ and‚ of course‚ the chili. As a native Chicago boy‚ chili never really had any great appeal‚ as what I found locally was a pretty runny‚ soupy‚ spicy‚ hot-for-no-reason bowl of boredom. My first Texas judging was the culinary equivalent of Paul being struck from his horse on the road to Damascus. Holy schnikies! What I tasted wasn’t what I was used to at all. Beefy‚ hearty‚ thick but not too thick‚ with deep flavor tones‚ complex‚ spicy but not crazy hot‚ and earthy. And NO BEANS. Paul Brian Beans and chili don't mix Yeah‚ Yankee Boy was instantly hooked. I then made a life choice: I was going to start cooking in competition. Three years later I was lucky enough to win the whole shebang. I was quickly given a proper Texas education: “Anyone who knows beans about chili knows chili has nuthin’ to do with beans!” And it makes sense when you think about it. You see‚ if you cook beans in your chili‚ you failed high school chemistry. WHAT in the name of Sam Houston at the Alamo do I mean by that? Simply this: When you cook meat and beans together‚ starch is released from the beans. This starch‚ in turn‚ makes the meat mushy. Not yet finished with their flavor-destroying quest‚ the beans then proceed to suck up all the spices that the cook (cook‚ never “chef”) has obsessively perfected. The result? Fairly good tasting beans‚ and mushy‚ pretty tasteless meat. The two-pot solution Now‚ I realize there are some of you conceptually‚ philosophically‚ and even religiously bent on having beans in your chili. In that case‚ I can only say Godspeed and offer this bit of parting wisdom: Cook two pots. One of your meat and spices and another with those funny little orbs of starch that are the origins of more atmospheric pollution than John Kerry‚ Al Gore‚ and that absurdly annoying child Greta could ever dream up. Remember to spice them‚ too‚ because you still have that bean osmosis thing going on. Then mix them IN THE BOWL‚ along with whatever accoutrements you wish. By the way‚ there’s a secondary question that has to do with the meat you use. Hand-cut or ground? While CASI rules don’t prohibit hand-cut (cubed) meat‚ cooks 10-15 years ago started to think that ground was the way to go to please the judges. Me‚ I’m rabidly ambivalent about what you like to put out for Uncle Phil as he screams about “that Swifty Swift woman or whoever she is!” at halftime. You can easily use a “tube” of 80-20 ground from your local MegaMart‚ or you can take the time to hand-cut your beef into small cubes‚ which is what I prefer when I’m cooking for friends or a party. Well‚ there you have it. And let the inevitable fireworks ensue. You can leave your comments below. I’ll be happy to respond‚ even to utterly erroneous opinions. The recipe One more thing: The almost inevitable follow-up question from folks is‚ “Do you share your recipe?” I do‚ but like anything in the Windy City‚ it’s got a hook to it. My recipe is available on the Allen Lynch Medal of Honor Veterans Foundation Page for a small donation – 100% of which goes to the veterans that fine organization supports. So there’s enough time for you to grab the recipe online‚ get your fixins‚ and offer your guests a bowl of chili that won the world’s championship. “Bon apetit” as they say in France‚ or “Don’t burp too loud” as they say in the greatest state God ever created. Paul Brian is a 35-year veteran broadcaster and one of our nation's best-known‚ respected and in-demand automotive industry experts. Look for his work in future installments of Align.

Here's what actually defeated the atrocious ‘border’ bill

The war bill that the Senate tried to pass off as a “border” bill has been defeated — and it’s all thanks to conservatives around the country. “We collectively — the big‚ royal 'we' — killed the border non-security part of that bill‚” Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts tells Glenn Beck. And it’s all thanks to conservatives around the country who have awakened to the reality that our government is not acting in the people’s best interest — and taken action. “What I have been saying for the last 24 hours‚ Glenn‚ to friends around the country‚ is‚ 'Guys‚ this is an example of the good things that happen when we wake up‚'” he adds‚ noting that “we have to stay engaged.” One of the ways to stay engaged is to clear the Senate of the people who aren’t doing the right thing. “I don’t know how you feel about McConnell‚” Glenn tells Roberts‚ “but I think he’s got to go.” “Politically‚ he’s the icon of everything that’s wrong in Washington because what’s wrong in Washington — and it’s connected to the World Economic Forum‚ as you know — is that these people decide‚ just a handful of people‚ they’re going to tell us what’s best for us‚ and they demand that we eat it‚” Roberts says. “I actually think this defeat yesterday of this bill shows that there is‚ politically speaking‚ blood in the water‚ that his leadership is really weakened‚” he adds. Roberts believes this might precede a retirement announcement for McConnell. “Thankfully‚ as you know‚” he tells Glenn‚ “there are a number of good potential replacements who would fix the problem.” To hear the full conversation‚ watch the clip below. UCLA professor suspended for not giving black students special treatment after George Floyd's death suing university for over $19 million

A UCLA professor was suspended for not providing special treatment to black students in the light of George Floyd's death. The professor is suing the University of California Los Angeles for more than $19 million over the well-publicized incident that garnered national notoriety. Gordon Klein – a lecturer of accounting at the Anderson School of Management – made headlines in June 2020 when he refused to give preferential treatment to black students. As Blaze News previously reported‚ Klein was asked by a student if black students would be given special accommodations because of George Floyd's death and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests. "The student requested a no-harm and shortened final exam‚ and extended deadlines for final assignments and projects in consideration of black students' well-being in light of nationwide protests against police brutality‚" the Daily Bruin reported. Klein responded by writing:Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give black students special treatment‚ given the tragedy in Minnesota. Do you know the names of the classmates that are black? How can I identify them since we've been having online classes only? Are there any students that may be of mixed parentage‚ such as half black-half Asian? What do you suggest I do with respect to them? A full concession or just half?Klein asked the student if "a white student" from Minneapolis "might be possibly even more devastated" by the death of George Floyd.Klein then quoted Martin Luther King Jr.‚ and asked‚ "Remember that MLK famously said that people should not be evaluated based on the 'color of their skin.' Do you think that your request would run afoul of MLK's admonition?"A student took a screenshot of the email conversation‚ and it quickly circulated online.UCLA students claimed Klein's email was "backhandedly racist" and that it undermined the Black Lives Matter movement. The same day as Klein wrote the email‚ a Change.org petition was launched‚ and it demanded Klein be "terminated for his extremely insensitive‚ dismissive‚ and woefully racist response to his students’ request for empathy and compassion during a time of civil unrest."The petition — with more than 21‚000 signatures — read‚ "His behavior is not reflective of the equity‚ respect‚ and justice that UCLA stands for as an institution."Two days later‚ Anderson School Dean Antonio Bernardo announced that Klein was suspended and an investigation was initiated into the "troubling conduct." "Providing a safe‚ respectful and equitable environment in which students can effectively learn is fundamental to UCLA’s mission‚" Bernardo declared. "We share common principles across the university of integrity‚ excellence‚ accountability‚ respect‚ and service. Conduct that demonstrates a disregard for our core principles‚ including an abuse of power‚ is not acceptable.""I deeply regret the increased pain and anger that our community has experienced at this very difficult time‚" Bernardo added. "We must and will hold each other to higher standards."Klein was reinstated less than a month after the incident. However‚ Klein alleges that the public backlash had caused irreparable damage. Klein derives significant income from his expert witness practice. The College Fix reported‚ "He has testified‚ for example‚ in several high-profile court cases‚ including Michael Jackson’s wrongful death‚ Apple’s acquisition of Dr. Dre’s Beats headphones‚ and the valuation of General Motors’ assets in bankruptcy."Klein’s attorney – Steve Goldberg – told the College Fix this week‚ "He was one of the top damages experts in the country who was historically bringing in well over $1 million dollars a year and trending upwards when it happened.""That practice went to ashes right after he was suspended‚" said Goldberg‚ a member of the Markun‚ Zusman &; Compton law firm.Klein‚ who continues to teach as a full-time lecturer at UCLA‚ is suing the university for "well over $19 million in damages."Klein's lawsuit is scheduled to go to trial on March 4 at the Santa Monica Courthouse.Klein‚ who joined the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 1981‚ first filed a lawsuit against the school in September 2021.UCLA did not respond to repeated requests for comment by The College Fix. Game developer accused of sexist character design even though it was based on a body scan of a real woman

South Korean video game director Hyung-Tae Kim has been accused of making the design of his female character too much of the focus in his latest project‚ "Stellar Blade."The role-playing-style video game focuses on the main female character‚ Eve‚ one of the few remaining humans left standing in defense of Earth after an alien takeover. It is the character's design‚ however‚ that has some gaming critics seething over the apparent sexism. "I play Stellar Blade for the plot‚" account ReignOfPride sarcastically noted to its 287‚000 followers with an attached picture of the character.Video game journalist Karim Jovian said that "Stellar Blade just has a stellar ass that’s about it." Of course‚ the game had yet to come out.The game's developer spoke to Games Radar and noted that his character design has actually "become somewhat of a brave thing to be going for or attempting.""I personally think that compared to movies‚ animations‚ manga and so on‚ people are especially strict towards games. In games‚ there's all the views that people have [which are] not always positive about unrealistically beautiful characters‚" Kim continued.
