One mom realized that her disabled daughter would never be able to move out, so she came up with a beautiful way to give the young woman her own space. This creative mother redecorated the girl’s bedroom door so that it looked like the front entrance to an apartment! She shared the sweetest video on social media showcasing the finished project. It looks amazing! In the clip, Mom included some footage of what the outside of her daughter’s bedroom used to look like. It was a plain, white door with little embellishment. However, by the end of the video, the area had undergone a complete transformation. This entrance now had a doorbell, a unit number, and a welcome mat, just like a real apartment door! It had also been painted a beautiful, bright color. This clip has received over 33 million views on social media. Commenters were overwhelmed with emotion when they saw what this mom did for her daughter! “You’re giving her the freedom of being an adult while also acknowledging you’ll be there for her in an instant, no matter what,” wrote one user. Another added, “Every child should have a mom like you.” After showing off this “apartment,” Mom introduced “the girl behind the door.” In a follow-up post, Mom decided to share a bit more about her daughter’s condition. 18-year-old Leah has been diagnosed with CHD2 myoclonic encephalopathy, Jeavons syndrome, and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Baby Jesus was stolen from the nativity scene in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Police posted a picture of the suspect, labeling him “the Grinch.” The image showed a young man carrying the figurine as he left the scene. Asking for help identifying the suspect, the post gave the station phone number. Image from Instagram. The Old Town Square Nativity is an annual tradition in the community. As the town reeled over the loss, they did not identify the suspect. Miraculously, the Grinch returned the figurine to the Poudre Fire Authority Station #1 on Thursday, December 19, with a note of apology. The handwritten note said, “I’m really sorry. Although the authorities have not been able to track down the suspect, everyone is happy that the stolen baby Jesus is back. The management company that cares for the nativity does not wish to pursue charges since the figurine is back in place. We can only hope the thief has truly learned his lesson and won’t try any other silly stunt again. The stolen baby Jesus is now back in the nativity scene where it belongs. This is not the first theft from a Christmas display, nor will it be the last. But a music teacher named Phil recently pulled off a show so hilarious, people still can not stop talking about it!
