Biden Deems Trump a Nazi Sympathizer 48 Hours After Assassination Attempt

by Martin Armstrong, Armstrong Economics: The violent rhetoric of the left is unrelenting, even in delicate times. Less than 48 hours after the failed assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump, Joe Biden reiterated a long-disputed lie that Trump once praised neo-Nazis. I explained how the propaganda machine has not only demonized Trump, but his supporters as […]

Final Straw Gavin Newsom signed AB1955 today which bans schools from making rules requiring parental notification if a child identifies as transgender. Hungary Ostracized by the European Union

by Martin Armstrong, Armstrong Economics: The European Union is far from an actual union. Those at the top in Brussels make the decisions, and everyone is expected to adhere blindly. Viktor Orbán of Hungary has long fallen out of favor with the European Union for opposing the war in Ukraine. August is Hungary’s round to […]

Glimpses of His Love – Encouragement for Today – July 18, 2024

July 18, 2024 Glimpses of His LoveSTACY J. LOWE Lee en español "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!" Psalm 139:17-18a (NLT) It had been a painfully long day at work. Due to the weather, my shoes got soaked as soon as I left the house, and having spent much of the day outside in the rain and mud, they were still just as wet late that night when I finally got home and took them off. Seventeen hours in wet shoes is no fun. After just a few hours of sleep, I dragged myself back downstairs, dreading yet another long day ahead. The shoes I had worn the day before would take another day or so to dry fully. But having no other good options for footwear, I resigned myself to going through yet another day with wet feet. Except ... my shoes were bone-dry. While that may seem like a little thing, in that moment when I was completely drained - pushed both physically and mentally past the point of exhaustion - it meant so much. Bleary-eyed, I slipped on the shoes, smiled and whispered, "Thank You, God," grateful for this glimpse of His love. While I'm thankful for that experience, I can't help but wonder: How many times has God stepped into my world, but I was too caught up in everything else to stop and take notice? Probably far more than I will ever know on this side of heaven. King David seemed to recognize this. When pondering God's relationship with His creation, David wrote: "How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!" (Psalm 139:17-18a) What a beautiful truth to consider! The God of the universe - Creator of the cosmos and everything in it - is not only aware of our existence but is actively thinking of you and me each moment of the day. And if His thoughts toward us are precious, good, and far too numerous to count, we shouldn't be surprised when He chooses to show up in our ordinary, everyday moments to let us know He sees us and cares. I, for one, don't want to miss these close, personal moments with my Savior. Therefore, I am choosing to slow down today and approach the coming hours with the expectation that I will see God in my world. That day, I saw His love through a pair of unexpectedly dry shoes. How will God show up today for you and me? I don't know, but let's pay attention and find out! Father, thank You for stepping into my world to show me that You see me and You care. Thank You for the little moments that mean so much. Please help me not to miss those moments. In Jesus' Name, Amen. OUR FAVORITE THINGS Have you joined Circle 31 Book Club yet? FOR DEEPER STUDY Psalm 33:18, "But the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love" (NLT). Luke 12:6-7, "What is the price of five sparrows-two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows" (NLT). God sees you. He knows everything about you - the good and the bad - and still He loves you. You matter immensely to Him. What does it mean to you to be so intimately known by your Savior? To be the daily recipient of His loving care? We'd love for you to share about it in the comments. © 2024 by Stacy J. Lowe. All rights reserved. Proverbs 31 MinistriesP.O. A Prayer to Long for Heaven – Your Daily Prayer – July 18

A Prayer to Long for HeavenBy Emma Danzey "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." – Philippians 3:20-21 Do you look forward to heaven? If I am being honest, my heart can be so focused on the now and building my "earthly kingdom" that I often miss the joy of focusing my thoughts and heart on eternal joys. It is not bad to be thankful for the beautiful blessings that we have been given from our Father who loves to give good and perfect gifts. However, when we become consumed with the world, we need to be reminded and convicted that this world is not our true home. Maybe you have recently lost a loved one and are thinking more about life after death. Perhaps you are more aware of your aging body or your health declining? Today, we are going to pray with joy that Jesus came so that we do not have to live in fear or dread of the future. We have the guarantee of heaven as believers in Jesus. Scripture tells us that Jesus is the only way to heaven, and it is not what we can do to try to live a "good life," but it is receiving what He has done by living the perfect life and dying on the cross for our sins, rising again. 1 Peter 1:3 tells us that Jesus is our living hope. Even though we cannot physically see heaven, He has promised it to all who believe in Him. All of God's Word has proven true, we have read of the fulfillment of His prophecies and every Word coming true. He is faithful. It takes faith to trust the Lord that He is waiting in heaven for us, but He has told us. John 14:3 says, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." Let’s pray: Dear Jesus,Thank You for going to prepare a place for us. Would you help us to long for you the way that You long for us? You have loved us like a faithful husband to an unfaithful wife. You have pursued us like the lost coin. You have welcomed us back like the prodigal son. Thank You for your forgiveness and love. We praise You for the promise of a future with you. We thank you that Your Spirit is with us always. We have a down payment of heaven in our hearts. Help us to seek Your Spirit daily and be filled with joy. Father, show us how you are working eternity into the hearts of humanity around us. Use us to share this good news of heaven with You! Do not allow the enemy to cloud the true spiritual reality that we want to invite as many people to the gates of heaven as possible. Jesus, You get people into heaven, but we want to extend the invitation. We pray for Your movement and your kingdom to come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Cultivate heavenly thoughts and refresh our focus in our hearts and minds. Renew us from our sinful nature to grasp onto the temporary tighter than the eternal. Forgive us for fixing our eyes on temporary things instead of fixing our eyes on You, Jesus. Father, thank You for preparing a place for us. Thank you that Your word is true and heaven is more than we could ever imagine. We are amazed that You would choose us to be your own even after our sins. Thank you for Your forgiveness and the future we have with you in heaven. We pray that as we remember those we miss here on earth, we can have peace that those who trusted in You as Savior are happier than they have ever been and in the best place they have ever been with You. We praise You for making a way, opening the gates of heaven, and calling us Yours forever. Amen.
