“Seeing If I Can Beat My Deputy Fiancé In A Foot Pursuit”

In order to become a police officer, you have to undergo fitness tests to prove you have what it takes. One of these tests has potential cops run 1.5 miles in a specific time frame. This time varies at different locations, but to give you an idea, the Austin Police Department requires recruits to finish their run in under 12 minutes and 54 seconds. In other words, it is incredibly difficult to run away from the police. Still, when the fiancée of a deputy heard about a recent social media trend, she could resist giving it a shot. The idea is simple: Try and outrun a police officer, whether it be your significant other, family, or a friend. The execution, however, is pretty darn tough. Check out Kelsey Byrd’s attempt in the viral video below! @__kelseybyrdd I will need a week to recover from this run #runningfromthecopstrend #deputyboyfriend #foryourpage ♬ Bad Boys (Theme from Cops) – Inner Circle “This is the best one I have seen yet. You had a half mile head start, bro jumped out the car in full gear, hit the KA-CHOW! and was on you in no time,” someone in the comments writes. Another person points out, “Camera man was done after 10 steps.” Kelsey’s fiancé was on top of his game that day. But what about Lex’s husband? She’s given less of a heads-up, but perhaps she has a chance… @lleexxiiee #foryou #cop #pursuit ♬ Bad Boys (Theme from Cops) – Inner Circle Confident Woman Challenges Her Deputy Fiancé to the Foot Pursuit Challenge… and it Goes About How You Would Expect When this cop takes a tumble, for a moment, it seems as though Lex may have a chance. But it doesn’t take long for this skilled officer to get right back on his feet. Seriously, as others have pointed out, “the recovery was crazy.” While most people doing this trend do so with their spouse, Lauren challenged her friend. @___laurenn94 She literally is the definition of Female Cop and super fast #bestfriend #cops #copsoftiktok #fyp #fy #femalepolice #police #outrunning #runningformylife #baddie #sleeves ♬ Bad Boys (Theme from Cops) – Inner Circle It only takes watching three videos to know that there are very few of us who would be able to win this challenge. That said, I have a feeling that winning isn’t what’s making so many people both try and love this challenge. Like so many other things in life, it’s all about the joy of trying (and the humor of failing.) You can find the source of this story’s featured image here! Column: The Partisan Media Hates Any Praise of Trump's Broad Media Access

Jack Blanchard at Politico’s Playbook newsletter made the leftists angry by praising President Trump’s energetic availability to the press. While CBS star Scott Pelley wailed at a college commencement that they are “the fierce defenders of democracy,” “the seekers of truth,” and “the vanguard against ignorance,” Trump grants them access. Blanchard wrote on May 28 that by lunchtime, “it will have been 48 hours since Donald Trump stepped in front of a TV camera for a speech or Q&A — the first time that’s happened (outside of the weekends) since he returned to the White House on Jan. 20. Whatever your politics, that’s a remarkable record of public availability, especially when compared to his famously sheltered predecessor.” Joe Biden was hidden away from the press for four years, and this never drew angry commencement speeches – because Scott Pelley was eager to please Team Biden, which allowed him to join the other privileged Biden softball-throwers like Drew Barrymore and Ryan Seacrest. He didn’t seem to grasp how they make him look by association. Blanchard infuriated the Biden boosters by arguing “the Joe Biden experience shows just how important it is that leaders are held up to regular scrutiny. Trump’s answers may sometimes be rambling, erratic — or even downright unpleasant — but every American voter can see where he’s at.” This is where the Pelleys scream “But he lies! All the lies!” They will try to sully all this acceptance of hostile questions by disparaging all the answers as dangerous blather. Brian Stelter, Oliver Darcy, and their partisan squad adored Pelley’s lecture, but ignored what Blanchard pointed out. They should just deal with his count: “A quick trawl through the archives suggests Trump 2.0 has done media on 111 of his 138 days back in office — an 80 percent hit rate that includes weekends and must put him on course to being just about the most-accessible president in modern history.” When Trump accepts a hostile interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, it’s actually used by NBC to congratulate itself. Incoming Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas told an interviewer he accepted this battle “because he knows he’s going to get a fair shake. It’s because Kristen Welker has done a masterful job of helping Americans get information and being fair with President Trump.” Trump was sparring with Welker in real time, telling her it was unfair to raise the prospect of empty store shelves in the midst of his global trade disputes. “This is such a dishonest interview already,” he said. But he accepted it. How many times did President Biden appear on Meet the Press? None, but nobody cares. They would rather fuss about Trump fighting back against the press by his lawsuits and threats of regulatory scrutiny at the FCC. None of these arrogant media partisans grasp that they boosted every ounce of regulatory scrutiny and lawsuits and lawfare against Trump over the last eight years. Every Trump-trashing tactic they support is automatically defined as “democracy” and “truth-seeking.” They define “independence” and “freedom of the press” as the freedom to smear Trump as a criminal or as Hitler, and any attempt to respond in kind is described as nasty pages in the “authoritarian playbook.” Then they wonder why no one outside their reinforced leftist bubble trusts them as actually objective or nonpartisan.

Washington Post faces brutal backlash over bizarre headline on 'complex' drop in fentanyl seizures at border

Social media users hammered away at the Washington Post over their bizarre insistence that the reasons for a drop in fentanyl seizures at the U.S.-Mexico border were "complex." The news outlet appeared to complicate the reasons for the drop in fentanyl seizures in order to avoid crediting a massive drop in illegal alien crossings. President Donald Trump specifically cited the scourge of fentanyl as one of the many reasons to order a lockdown at the border. 'You close the border and the drugs slow down! Dumbest f**king article ever.' White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt torched the Post during her media briefing on Tuesday. "How is this mysterious? There is no mystery about why there is a decrease in fentanyl coming into the United States," said Leavitt. "This administration's strong border policies are the reason there has been a decrease in fentanyl trafficking."She went on to say that the president's outreach to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum strengthened relations between the two nations to ease the border crisis and lessen drug smuggling. "This is clearly trying to intentionally manipulate the minds of Americans," Leavitt continued. "Our office responded to this inquiry and provided a whole host of reasons fentanyl seizures at the southern border have dropped, and the Washington Post refused to run them. That's despicable." She called on the Post to update their headline to reflect the work that Trump had done to address the fentanyl crisis. RELATED: Biden laughs after mentioning fentanyl overdose deaths because they happened under Trump: 'The interesting thing' Photo by LOREN ELLIOTT/AFP via Getty Images Others pounced to continue the pummeling on the Post. "The Washington Post is doing everything it can to avoid giving President Trump the credit he deserves. Under his leadership, fentanyl trafficking at the Southern Border decreased by 54%. President Trump’s border policies are working!" replied Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.). "The Washington Post is reporting a 'mysterious drop' in fentanyl seizures at the southern border. Mystery solved! The Trump effect is working," responded Republican Rep. Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin. "The Washington Post cannot figure out why fentanyl seizures are down at the border for the same reason they could not figure out Biden was senile ... they do not want to report the truth. They want to control what you think is true," read another popular response. "GTFO with this s**t. You close the border and the drugs slow down! Dumbest f**king article ever," said another detractor. "There’s nothing 'mysterious' about the drop in fentanyl seizures at the southern border. Strong border security leads to a stronger, safer nation. The numbers prove what WaPo won’t admit. This is what happens when we put the American people before the cartels," responded Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas). "It’s a real mystery. Perplexing, baffling, inexplicable even. What could have possibly changed in the last few months to cause such a bewildering drop in fentanyl seizures along our southern border?" joked the account for Heritage Foundation. "The hard-hitting journalists at Wa-Po are on the case!"In addition to the drop in fentanyl border seizures, U.S. deaths from drug overdoses plummeted 27% from the estimated 110,037 deaths in 2023 to 80,391 deaths in 2024. Here's the video of Leavitt's comments: PRESS SEC CALLS OUT THE FAKE NEWS "The Washington Post just ran one of the most ridiculous headlines ever, even by their standards. The headline, 'The mysterious drop in fentanyl seizures on the US-Mexico border.' How is this mysterious? There is no mystery about why there is… pic.twitter.com/3XjEx6bmBO — TheBlaze (@theblaze) June 3, 2025 Like Blaze News? Fallout 76 fishing is finally here, alongside a major rework to combat

Every videogame gets better with fishing. Whether it’s Final Fantasy 15, Skyrim, or Stardew Valley, being able to stop and watch the virtual world go by while waiting for a catch gives me a real appreciation for all the work that went into the land I’ve been exploring. I’m always angling for a new way to experience the serene, then, and Fallout 76 fishing is the latest way to do just that. Bethesda has massively expanded its open-world RPG with this update, and I can’t wait to dive in. Rejecting unilateral presidential tariffs was not an act of judicial activism by the U.S. Court of International Trade. It protected the separation of powers.

How to Get More Growth from the Republican Tax Bill

If the ‘price’ of making full expensing permanent had to be additional spending cuts, that would be a trade worth making.
