Trans High Schooler Dominates Women's Basketball. How is This Fair?

Trans High Schooler Dominates Women's Basketball. How is This Fair?

A video of a transgender female‚ aka male‚ basketball player at a California high school is gaining traction online. The player is the captain of the women’s team at San Francisco Waldorf High School‚ and the decision of the school to allow this to happen has been blasted on social media.  The male student jumped significantly higher than the female he was up against during the tip off of a game. He even jumped a bit more horizontally compared to the female and was able to‚ very easily‚ direct the basketball in his favor. His biological female opponent didn’t even touch the ball.  An account called Women Are Real posted the video and mentioned how “everyone knows” how unfair the situation is.  Is it fair to allow males to play girls’ basketball? A teenage boy’s vertical jump vs. a girl is a simple demonstration. We’ve been talking to the refs after the games and they all agree the situation is unfair. The refs know. 🔥Everyone knows 🔥 https://t.co/3PCNaWuask pic.twitter.com/kS5dGe59sk — WomenAreReal (@WomenAreReals) January 11‚ 2024 Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines‚ who went up against transgender athlete Lia (Richard) Thomas‚ wrote‚ “The boy is the captain of the women’s team. This is in California. Who’s surprised by either of those statements?” One user insisted that having a male on a women’s team is “dangerous.”  This is dangerous. Men can hit that ball so hard it will smash a face wide open if hit. Watching men’s volleyball I would never want to be on the receiving end. It would be more like dodge ball. Men do not belong in women’s sports‚ Period. Others said things like‚ “he failed as a male athlete‚” and “he’s a cheat.” I mean‚ yeah. This kid’s got a clear advantage over everyone else on his team and over his opponents. It isn’t fair or safe for him to be on the team‚ let alone be the captain of it. Wingspan is another simple demonstration. This is NOT fair. pic.twitter.com/9fEcuGIyc5 — WomenAreReal (@WomenAreReals) January 11‚ 2024 Other than the clear advantage the kid has physically‚ the fact that he’s a male caused other repercussions as well.  Last week‚ the school was apparently set to compete against another team‚ the Averroes High School girls varsity basketball team‚ but the event was canceled. “While the school has not provided comment on the reason why the sudden forfeiture took place‚ the decision was reportedly the result of the institution being made aware that a male player was participating on the Waldorf girls’ team‚” Reduxx reported. Averroes High School is an Islamic school and Reduxx indicated that some reports point out that there may have been “hesitancy to compete against Waldorf" because of "religious objections regarding the Muslim girls risking physical contact with the male player.” On Thursday‚ numerous activists in the movement to protect women’s sports held a rally with the group “Our Bodies Our Sports” outside of the 2024 NCAA convention in Phoenix‚ Arizona. They were protesting allowing these trans advantages at the collegiate level‚ but now it appears that high school sports may need some changes as well.

Morning Joe Despairs on 'AWOL' Lloyd Austin: Ignatius Sighs Say It All

Morning Joe Despairs on 'AWOL' Lloyd Austin: Ignatius Sighs Say It All

Move over‚ Algore. There's a new King of Sighs in town‚ and his name is David Ignatius‚ columnist of The Washington Post. Gore famously put a dent in his presidential ambitions when he sighed his way through his first debate with George W. Bush in 2000. Those were sighs of disgust‚ as compared to the sighs of despair Ignatius unleashed on today's Morning Joe. For days‚ the show had blacked out the scandal surrounding Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's lengthy failure to inform the White House of his hospitalization and his cancer diagnosis. But Morning Joe could no longer avoid the story when on today's show‚ Sam Stein raised it in the context of asking whether Austin's situation had delayed the administration's decision to strike the Houthis in retaliation for their attacks on commercial shipping. You might have expected Joe Scarborough to play defense for the Biden administration on the matter. But instead‚ a skeptical Scarborough asked Ignatius how Austin survives this‚ and whether any other Secretary of Defense would keep his job in such circumstances. Declared Scarborough: Austin "went AWOL." Ouch! A stumbling Ignatius‚ playing defense for Austin‚ unleashed multiple sighs in response. He asserted that Austin's failures were not a "capital crime" [i.e. a firing offense]. The heaviest sigh came in response to Susan Page's suggestion that Austin be fired or resign. Ignatius joked that no one worried about a lack of communications at the Pentagon when Mark Milley headed the Joints Chiefs of Staff. But his replacement‚ Charles Brown‚ is "reticent" -- not a big talker to the press -- and neither is Austin. Ignatius said this has been a "continuous problem" with Austin‚ and nothing new. At the end of the discussion‚ Ignatius argued that firing Austin in an election year would be "more trouble than it's worth." Really? Leaving Austin in place could cause untold trouble for the Biden campaign. Imagine the Republican ad: "Joe Biden--weak on crime‚ weak on the border‚ weak on military preparedness" -- as scenes of looters and border crossers‚ and a shot of Austin‚ flash on the screen. Stein mentioned something that was truly shocking.  Apparently‚ even when Austin finally got around to phoning Biden‚ he didn't reveal his cancer diagnosis. If that doesn't constitute a "capital crime" of trust in Ignatius's eyes‚ what would it take—calling Biden to his face‚ a lying‚ dog-faced pony soldier? Biden has said that he wouldn't even accept Austin's resignation. Almost nobody in Biden's cabinet has resigned‚ and he doesn't want to look like he's dumping a black man who‚ we're told‚ faces a stigma in "communities of color" about their manhood when discussing intimate prostate issues.  Here's the transcript. MSNBC Morning Joe 1/12/24 6:13 am ET SAM STEIN‚ POLITICO: I have a question about that operation [the strikes on Houthi installations by the US and allies]‚ and maybe you don't know the answer to this. But‚ obviously‚ this is taking place in the backdrop of what was happening with Lloyd Austin. Gone for three days‚ unexplained absence‚ in the hospital‚ clearly sidelined. Did that affect the timing of this? There's been a lot of criticism from some factions. Other factions say they shouldn't have done it without the authorization from Congress. But some factions say‚ you waited too long. Deterrence was clearly not working‚we should have hit quicker. Was the Austin situation at all a factor of why it took this long? DAVID IGNATIUS: I don't think so‚ Sam. I‚ I‚ I‚ I think the Austin situation is its own set of problems. What he did wasn't a capital crime‚ but it clearly‚ it clearly was clearly a mistake‚ and he understands that. The discussions with the United States and Britain about just what to do have been continuous over the last two weeks. ELISABETH BUMILLER‚ NEW YORK TIMES: It's CENTCOM would pick targets. It's something he would approve‚ but he wouldn't be in the weeds on it. STEIN: Reports are he was approving it from the hospital bed. BUMILLER: Well sure. But he wasn't planning it from the hospital bed. IGNATIUS: I think signed off on it from the hospital bed would be roughly the right phrase. JOE SCARBOROUGH: Fair enough. I've just got to ask. How does the general -- how does the secretary survive this? IGNATIUS: [Loud sigh] Well‚ ahh‚ I don't see him being fired. Um. SCARBOROUGH: Why not? IGNATIUS: Because‚ ahh‚ Joe Biden likes him and basically trusts him. SCARBOROUGH: Would any other Secretary of Defense survive this? IGNATIUS: [Deep inhale] Um -- SCARBOROUGH: He went AWOL for three‚ four days. He's in the nuclear chain of command. IGNATIUS: He‚ he‚ he‚ so‚ the problem at the Pentagon in terms of lack of communication didn't begin with the hospitalization of Lloyd Austin. It's been a continuous problem to this administration. He is not a communicator. He is‚ he is a person who is really allergic to talking to media. And something like what happened -- SCARBOROUGH: But shouldn't somebody in the chain‚ "Mr. President‚ he's going to be out of commission for three days?" IGNATIUS: As long as you had Mark Milley as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff‚ no one worried about the Pentagon not communicating enough [laughter.] Not a problem. General Milley was out there. With the new Chairman‚ successor‚ Charles Brown‚ very reticient. Good officer but very restrained‚ you've got a top team at the Pentagon that just doesn't communicate. And that's a problem. But I don't see -- SUSAN PAGE: Should he be -- should he be fired or resign? Is this a sufficient offense? And obviously‚ as you say‚ at least a mistake‚ that he should leave? IGNATIUS: [Long‚ loud‚ double sigh] It is‚ it is a violation of procedures. It's in character for the way he ran the Pentagon. This should have been addressed in terms of his broad communications long ago‚ before you got to this. I just can't imagine in an election year that he would be dumped now. I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth. . . .  STEIN: The most amazing thing to me was‚ he talked with Biden on Saturday in a one-on-oneconversation. Did not reveal the cancer diagnosis during that conversation. IGNATIUS: Yeah. STEIN: So clearly‚ absence of communication here. I mean‚ the inspector general report that was just launched by the DoD will answer these questions‚ but it's fascinating to think that you would not report that something of that significance up the chain. SCARBOROUGH: It's a real problem. I can't imagine‚ in most administrations -- STEIN: Biden said he won't even accept a letter of resignation. SCARBOROUGH: Yeah‚ well‚ it's fascinating.

CNN‚ MSNBC: ‘Far-Right’ ‘Hardliners’ Are Shutting Down the Goverment

Left-wing cable networks CNN and MSNBC are desperate to blame any potential hiccups in the government funding fight on the conservative wing of the Republican Party. As the deadline for Congress to pass a spending bill approaches‚ reporters on both networks have been stewing over “hardliners” and their “far-right” demands during budget negotiations. It’s always the same double standard during government funding talks. When Republicans don’t hold the trifecta of the White House‚ the House of Representatives‚ and a supermajority in the Senate‚ these networks demand that Republicans “play ball” with Democrats‚ chiding. Elections have consequences‚ they chide. But now with a slim Democratic majority in the Senate and Biden in the White House‚ the same reporters scoff and gawk at Republican Representatives for not rubber-stamping whatever spending bill the Democrats demand. Take a look at the uniform language these talking heads are using to describe conservative House Republicans:     On Friday’s Inside Politics‚ CNN host Dana Bash opened a segment on the budget negations with this stilted commentary: Republicans in disarray‚ again. Another House GOP rebellion paralyzes the House as hardliners lose patience with their new Speaker. When Johnson came out and announced on Friday afternoon that thus far he was planning on sticking with the deal he’d cut with Senator Schumer‚ CNN and MSNBC anchors struggled to strike a balance between relief and concern.  CNN News Central host Brianna Keilar was cautiously during the 1pm ET hour: “House Speaker Mike Johnson showing that‚ for now‚ he is resisting the pressure from Republican hardliners in his party.” But just towers later during the 3 p.m. ET Katy Tur Reports on MSNBC‚ the titular host remained worried: “Republican hardliners are trying to pressure Speaker Mike Johnson on spending. What happens if he caves?” But of course we already know the answer. If Johnson is convinced by the Freedom Caucus to back out of the deal‚ what happens is the entire left-wing media complex blame the impending shutdown on Republicans. They always do.

Pennsylvania Woman Charged with Killing 18-Month-Old

Aleisia Owens‚ a psycho Pennsylvania woman‚ was just charged with homicide over the death of her boyfriend's 18-month-old daughter. Owens reportedly fed the child batteries‚ acetone and screws. Reports indicate that Owens was living with the baby’s dad‚ Bailey Jacoby‚ and on June 25‚ 2023‚ when Jacoby went to the store‚ Owens told him that baby Iris was unresponsive. Jacoby called 911‚ according to WPIX.  “Iris was rushed to UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle‚ Pa.‚ for treatment but she was later airlifted roughly one hour away to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh‚” New York Post indicated‚ before she died four-days-later due to organ failure. The child primarily lived with her mother‚ Emily Alfera‚ but Jacoby had visitation rights with her and she died while in his custody. Owens supposedly told the police that Iris “cramped up‚” fell off the bed and hit her head‚ but the autopsy proved otherwise.  The autopsy report revealed that the baby‚ Iris‚ had numerous “water beads” in her body as well as button-shaped batteries and a metal screw. Reportedly‚ the 20-year-old killer had been searching for months “information on household products that could cause a child serious harm or death‚ including water beads‚ batteries and nail polish.” Owens also allegedly searched “beauty products that are poisonous to kids” and “medications leading to accidental poisoning deaths in children.” So yes‚ the woman seems to have planned this. As a matter of fact‚ when Judge Richard A. Russo read her charges on Thursday‚ Owens was “dry-eyed and expressionless‚” showing no remorse for killing the innocent child.  Owens is being held without bond at the Lawrence County Jail.  This‚ ladies and gentlemen is exactly what happens when we foster a culture that doesn’t value life. Our society encourages women to abort their kids all the time‚ and even if a kid gets a chance at life‚ our public school system regularly treats kids as pawns in their leftist brainwashing regime. Of course‚ Owens didn’t care about the life of innocent little Iris.  Prayers go out to this baby’s family and to the nation that doesn’t even know how to foster the most basic human right - life.

Cops ram carjacked vehicle‚ which spins and slams into 66-year-old woman crossing street‚ sending her flying into curb

Video caught the moment police in Torrance‚ California‚ rammed a carjacked vehicle‚ which went into a spin and slammed into a 66-year-old woman carrying grocery bags across a street Thursday‚ sending her flying into a curb. What are the details? The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department told Torrance police around 12:50 p.m. that deputies were chasing a carjacking suspect who had stolen several cars‚ according to a City of Torrance news release‚ and that the suspect had entered Torrance. Torrance is about a half-hour southwest of Los Angeles. Torrance police learned a minute later that the suspect entered a parking structure at the Del Amo Fashion Center — and around 12:55 p.m.‚ a woman reported a carjacking near the area where the pursuit suspect was last seen. Police around that time said they spotted a male suspect driving the carjacked vehicle — a silver Prius — as it left the Del Amo Fashion Center‚ and police said they began chasing the driver. Video shows the fleeing driver speeding on the wrong side of the street and going through stoplights before hopping a curb and knocking down a pole‚ KNBC-TV reported. Police said a Torrance officer struck the vehicle near Vermont Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard‚ and the vehicle in turn struck a pedestrian. Video shows the pedestrian flying backward into a curb after she was struck. After a brief foot pursuit‚ police said they arrested the suspect without incident and released him to the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‚ which was the originating agency. Police said Torrance officers spoke to the carjacking victim and the woman who was struck at the intersection and that no serious injuries were reported at the time. Police added that the woman who was struck refused emergency medical services treatment at the scene and departed voluntarily. Torrance police said they were later told she went to a hospital.Woman who was struck and her daughter speak out"I was crossing the street‚ and I don’t remember anything‚" Maria Salazar‚ the woman who was struck‚ told Telemundo52‚ according to KNBC. "I just felt the impact." Salazar's daughter‚ Diana‚ said she's still trying to figure out things‚ KNBC noted: "I don't know why they were chasing him. The urgency of stopping him. I don't know if they saw my mom."Torrance police added to KNBC that all officers are trained in PIT maneuvers. The acronym stands for Precision Immobilization Technique‚ which "consists of applying lateral pressure to the rear quarter panel of the fleeing target vehicle resulting in a predictable spin-out action of the target vehicle." Police did not indicate in the news release that a PIT maneuver occurred. The carjacking suspect's identity‚ along with other details about him‚ were not immediately available‚ KNBC noted. Ceasefire Democrats furious that the US flattened terrorists in Yemen; slap Biden with his own past critique

The radical left is enraged that President Joe Biden got something right this week. Democratic lawmakers blasted the president for flattening the Houthi rebels who have been firing missiles and bomber drones toward U.S. warships and at merchant vessels incessantly for months. In their critiques‚ ceasefire Democrats like Reps. Val Hoyle (Ore.)‚ Pramila Jayapal (Wash.)‚ Cori Bush (Mo.)‚ Barbara Lee (Calif.)‚ and Ro Khanna (Calif.)‚ erroneously suggested the massive retaliatory attack against Hamas' allies — executed in concert with Britain and supported by Canada‚ Australia‚ the Netherlands‚ and Bahrain — was illegal. What's the background? Houthi forces‚ dropped from the list of foreign terrorist organizations by the Biden administration‚ announced after the Hamas terror attacks on Israel that ships associated with the Jewish nation attempting to transit the Bab al-Mandeb strait constituted "legitimate" targets for additional attacks. Blaze News previously reported that the Houthis also threatened to target American warships if U.S. naval forces hit ground installations in Yemen. The terrorists made good on their threats in recent months‚ launching hundreds of drone and missile attacks against civilian transport ships transiting the strait connecting the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea — one of the world's busiest shipping routes. In December‚ the U.S. attempted to launch an international task force to address the terrorist threat but was only able to recruit Britain‚ Bahrain‚ Canada‚ France‚ Italy‚ Netherlands‚ Norway‚ Seychelles‚ and Spain. There was an escalation on Dec. 30‚ when American forces‚ attempting to protect a commercial ship from another Houthi attack‚ were fired upon. Evidently unwilling to suffer any further indignities‚ U.S. Navy helicopters dispatched from the USS Eisenhower and USS Gravely blew three Houthi vessels out of the water. Last straw In an apparent retaliation for having their boats blown to smithereens‚ the terrorists targeted American ships on Jan. 9 with 21 drones and missiles‚ which Reuters indicated British naval forces managed to shoot down. Then‚ on Jan. 11‚ Houthis fired an anti-ship ballistic missile into the strait. This proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back. Biden authorized strikes Thursday "in direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks against international maritime vessels in the Red Sea — including the use of anti-ship ballistic missiles for the first time in history." "These targeted strikes are a clear message that the United States and our partners will not tolerate attacks on our personnel or allow hostile actors to imperil freedom of navigation in one of the world’s most critical commercial routes‚" added Biden. 60 rebel targets were hammered in 16 locations in Yemen. — (@) The terrorists responded by calling the attacks "barbaric" and stressing "all US‚ UK interests have become 'legitimate targets.'" Turkish dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan‚ whose nation still is apparently a NATO member‚ said the U.S. and U.K. were "trying to turn the Red Sea into a sea of blood‚" reported Al Jazeera. A NATO spokesman said‚ "These strikes were defensive‚ and designed to preserve freedom of navigation in one of the world’s most vital waterways. The (Houthi) attacks must end." Ceasefire radicals attempt to pass as constitutionalists Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) said‚ "This is why I called for a ceasefire early. This is why I voted against war in Iraq. Violence only begets more violence. We need a ceasefire now to prevent deadly‚ costly‚ catastrophic escalation of violence in the region." Despite the terrorists' vow to indiscriminately strike American interests‚ Lee added‚ "The U.S. must demand an immediate ceasefire." Jayapal (D-Wash.) wrote‚ "This is an unacceptable violation of the Constitution. Article 1 requires that military action be authorized by Congress." Anti-Israeli activist Rep. Tashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) joined Jayapal in feigning interest in the law‚ similarly claiming Biden was "violating Article I of the Constitution by carrying out airstrikes in Yemen without congressional approval." — (@) Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) claimed Thursday‚ "The President needs to come to Congress before launching a strike against the Houthis in Yemen and involving us in another middle east conflict. That is Article I of the Constitution. I will stand up for that regardless of whether a Democrat or Republican is in the White House." Khanna added‚ "Section 2C of the War Powers Act is clear: POTUS may only introduce the U.S. into hostilities after Congressional authorization or in a national emergency when the U.S. is under imminent attack. Reporting is not a substitute. This is a retaliatory‚ offensive strike." Khanna's post on X was slapped with community notes highlighting that in this circumstance‚ Biden had the legal power to authorize the strikes as Houthis had previously launched a missile attack on both U.S. and British ships. Furthermore‚ the notes highlighted that the congressional Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001 was still in effect. The Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel has argued in recent years that there are two conditions under which the president can exercise authority without Congress' approval: if he reasonably determines action serves "important national interests" and that the "nature‚ scope and duration of the conflict must not rise to the level of war" that would encroach on Congress' constitutional powers‚ reported Newsweek. The War Powers Resolution explicitly allows for the president to introduce U.S. armed forces "into hostilities‚ or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances‚ are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war‚ (2) specific statutory authorization‚ or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States‚ its territories or possessions‚ or its armed forces." Dr. Richard Johnson of Queen Mary University in London told Newsweek‚ "The War Powers Act clarifies that if the president follows the third path‚ then he should 'in every possible instance shall consult with Congress' before sending forces into hostilities. The term‚ consultation‚ has ironically empowered the president." "'Consultation' is different than specifying that the president needs to ask Congress's permission before sending armed forces in to hostilities‚" added Johnson. "'Consult' in practice has transformed into 'inform' after the decision was already taken." While Biden appears to have been in the right in this circumstance‚ he held former President Donald Trump to a different standard in 2020 when Trump had Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani whacked. Biden wrote‚ "Let's be clear: Donald Trump does not have the authority to take us into war with Iran without Congressional approval. A president should never take this nation to war without the informed consent of the American people." — (@) Like Blaze News? More student loan borrowers will see their debt 'canceled' with taxpayers left picking up the tab

On Friday‚ the Biden administration announced it would move forward with another round of federal student loan cancellations‚ according to a White House press release."From Day One of my Administration‚ I vowed to fix the student loan system and make sure higher education is a pathway to the middle class – not a barrier to opportunity. Already‚ my Administration has cancelled student debt for 3.6 million Americans through various actions – delivering lifechanging relief to students and families‚ and we created the most affordable student loan repayment plan ever: the SAVE plan‚" the announcement stated. The administration's commitment to "fix" the broken student loan system appears only to involve passing the costs onto taxpaying Americans‚ despite the Supreme Court's ruling in June that sweeping debt cancellations are unlawful.Last year‚ Biden proposed unilaterally wiping out $10‚000 of federal student loan debt for individuals making less than $125‚000 yearly and married couples earning less than $250‚000 yearly. Those who took out Pell Grants could see an additional $10‚000 in loan cancellations. In November‚ the Government Accountability Office revealed that Biden's sweeping debt cancellation program failed to implement safeguards to protect the federal government against fraud‚ Blaze News previously reported. According to the GAO‚ 26 million borrowers signed up to receive the relief were automatically approved without submitting updated income documentation.Since the Supreme Court decided to strike down the program‚ the Biden administration has rolled out several smaller but similar programs that have‚ so far‚ eliminated over $132 billion of debt for 3.6 million borrowers. On Friday‚ the White House declared it would cancel more debt through its Saving on a Valuable Education plan. According to the announcement‚ borrowers who took out less than $12‚000 and have been in repayment for at least ten years will have their balances zeroed out "immediately.""This action will particularly help community college borrowers‚ low-income borrowers‚ and those struggling to repay their loans‚" the administration stated.Biden encouraged all federal student loan borrowers to sign up for the SAVE plan‚ noting that 6.9 million individuals are already enrolled and 3.9 million currently are paying $0 per month. The plan caps repayments at 5% of the borrower's monthly income."In the wake of the Supreme Court's decision on our student debt relief plan‚ we are continuing to pursue an alternative path to deliver student debt relief to as many borrowers as possible as quickly as possible. I won't back down from using every tool at our disposal to get student loan borrowers the relief they need to reach their dreams‚" the White House concluded.Biden wrote in a post on X‚ "Imagine checking your student debt balance and seeing $0.00. Starting next month‚ many Americans enrolled in our SAVE plan will join the already 3.6 million who have seen their student debt cancelled by my Administration through various actions."Like Blaze News?
