The Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro traverses topography you wouldn’t think was possible for a bike of this size. The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 adventure bike has been revamped just four years after its introduction‚ gaining a 13% boost in power from its inline-Triple‚ plus new TFT instrumentation‚ sharper styling‚ and updated electronics. The GT and GT Pro versions skew toward the sport-touring market‚ and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro is intended for tackling off-road terrain using a 21-inch front tire and riding on wire-spoke wheels. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control recommended that people on the continent stay home if they feel sick‚ and consider wearing masks in crowds or healthcare settings‚ with flu spreading as it typically does this time of year but hitting some countries harder than others. It said Europeans should follow national guidelines on vaccinating vulnerable groups. Flu is now circulating at higher levels than other common respiratory pathogens‚ including the Sars-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19‚ it said. Multiple Spanish regions have already mandated masks for patients‚ visitors and staff at hospitals. The country’s central government now wants to expand the mask mandate nationwide. However‚ reports indicate there has been some pushback from regional leaders. In the end‚ peaceful non-compliance from the people is the only way forward. Reuters reports: Five Spanish regions have reintroduced rules making face masks compulsory in health facilities following a spike in flu and COVID-19 cases over the festive season. In the last week of December‚ 953 cases per 100‚000 inhabitants were presenting at primary healthcare centers around the country with acute respiratory illness‚ while hospitalization rates showed a steeper upwards increase than last year. In some regions‚ the rate of respiratory infections was more than 1‚500 per 100‚000 inhabitants. The region of Valencia is among the hardest hit. There‚ health chiefs instructed people with symptoms‚ as well as medical professionals‚ and family and friends in waiting rooms to wear masks for the foreseeable future. It also left the door open to the rule being extended to other areas where people with vulnerable health gather. Catalonia‚ Aragon and Murcia issued the same instruction while Galicia has recommended mask use. The United States isn’t immune to the reintroduction of mask mandates. The mask mandate was originally based on a spike in influenza cases‚ as well as COVID and RSV hospitalizations. However‚ around 24 hours after it was imposed‚ the mask mandate was canceled after it received push-back from city workers who did not want to comply with the rule. The city health department cited a need to “clarify the information” as the reason for abruptly reversing course.
