Fani Willis Is ‘Tired Of Idiots’ Pronouncing Her Name As ‘Fanny,’ Says It ‘Reminds Them Of A Woman’s Rear’
Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis is upset with people mispronouncing her name, claiming that “idiots” purposefully call her “fanny” because it “reminds them of a woman’s rear.” Willis’ first name is pronounced “FAH’-nee.”
The Democratic DA, who has charged former President Donald Trump with RICO crimes, spoke to a crowd of supporters on Thursday at a black church outside of Atlanta and tied the mispronunciation of her name to attacks on black women, whom she says are “oversexualized,” POLITICO reported.
“I live the experience of a black woman who is attacked and oversexualized,” Willis said. “See, I’m so tired of hearing these idiots call my name as ‘fanny’ in a way to attempt to humiliate me because, like silly school boys, the name reminds them of a woman’s rear, of her behind.”

Trump joked about Willis’ first name in March when he made a point to pronounce it correctly before saying, “It’s spelled ‘Fani’ like your ass.”
“When she became DA, she decided to add a little French and it’s ‘FAH’-nee,” he added.

Willis has been scrutinized for allegedly showing favoritism to her former lover Nathan Wade, whom she appointed as special prosecutor in her Trump election interference case. Judge Scott McAfee said the district attorney acted with a “tremendous lapse in judgment,” and he found an appearance of “impropriety,” but added that the defendants had “failed to meet their burden” of proving a conflict of interest based on Willis and Wade’s romantic relationship.

Wade resigned as special prosecutor after the judge ruled that either he or Willis had to leave the case against Trump. A Georgia appellate court is set to hear a challenge to McAfee’s ruling that allowed Willis to continue on the case. Willis has maintained strong support from Democrat voters as she cruised to a victory in the primary election last month, taking 87% of the vote.
