“According to a court motion filed by one of President Trump’s co-defendants in the Georgia election interference case‚ Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis hired an alleged romantic partner to prosecute Trump‚” 100 Percent Fed Up previously noted.
From 100 Percent Fed Up:
The court filing‚ which argued the criminal charges were unconstitutional‚ alleges Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade had engaged in a “romantic relationship.”
It also alleges that Wade‚ a private attorney‚ paid for extravagant vacations he took with Willis using the Fulton County funds his law firm received.
“County records show that Wade‚ who has played a prominent role in the election interference case‚ has been paid nearly $654‚000 in legal fees since January 2022. The DA authorizes his compensation‚” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

From the Associated Press:
Defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant‚ who represents former Trump campaign worker Michael Roman‚ made the allegation in a motion filed last week. She alleged that Willis was involved in a romantic relationship with attorney Nathan Wade that created a conflict of interest and led to Willis profiting personally from the prosecution.
Willis defended her hiring of Wade and his qualifications during an address at a church in Atlanta on Sunday but has not commented publicly on the allegation of a romantic relationship.

Per NBC News:
Roman’s filing does not provide direct evidence to support the claims‚ citing only “sources with knowledge” while raising questions about the process by which Willis hired Wade.
Roman’s attorney‚ Ashleigh Merchant‚ has told NBC News that some of the evidence could not be shared until Wade’s divorce records are unsealed.
“At a hearing‚ the concrete evidence would be presented‚” she said.
Roman‚ a former Trump White House aide and campaign staffer‚ was one of 19 people charged in the case. He is accused of conspiring to organize “alternate electors” to cast votes for Trump after Joe Biden’s won the election in the state in 2020.
Four defendants have pleaded guilty in the case‚ while the others‚ including Roman and Trump‚ have pleaded not guilty.
