I hate that this isn’t even the first time MRCTV has had to write about a story like this. Earlier this month‚ a Wyoming judge fully revoked Todd and Krista Kolstad’s custody of their 14-year-old daughter after Montana Child Protective Services workers transported the child to Wyoming to treat her for “gender dysphoria.” So now the child has been kidnapped‚ is on a path of poor mental health and utter delusion and her parents can’t even do anything about it. Back in April 2023‚ the Montana legislature‚ where the Kolstad family resides‚ passed State Bill 99 which bans the medical transition of minors suffering from “gender dysphoria.” A few months later in August of 2023‚ the child ended up in the hospital after struggling with bullying and anxiety. Police informed the Kolstad parents that their daughter was suicidal and that a text message indicated that she’d ingested “drain cleaner” and lots of “ibuprofen‚” The Gateway Pundit reported Tuesday. Apparently when the child ended up in the hospital‚ her toxicology report came back clean. But while there‚ the girl began asking hospital staff to call her “Leo” and use male pronouns. The staff‚ despite the objections from the Kolstads‚ obliged and continued calling the young girl by her name of choice. “The hospital continued to call our daughter Leo‚ even though she’s a minor‚ and after I stated it’s against our wishes‚ our religion‚ and our core family values‚ the hospital told me to call their lawyer if I have an issue‚ as they will do what the patient tells them‚” Mrs. Kolstad said in a video about the situation. To make matters worse‚ a non-binary hospital aide talked to “Leo” about top surgery. Though this appeared to be a breach of State Bill 99‚ the hospital insisted that they were working within a “gray area” as they hadn’t given the child any hormones or surgeries‚ just encouraged it.  “Montana CPS and hospital staff consistently dismissed the Kolstads’ concerns and authority as parents‚” The Gateway Pundit indicated in its report. Apparently nurses repeatedly called Mrs. Kolstad “just the stepmom” and ignored any concerns or parental authority she had despite the fact that Mrs. and Mr. Kolstad had been married since the child was about seven-years-old. Without either parent’s consent‚ CPS transferred the young girl to a hospital bed in Wyoming where she would be treated as a transitioning boy. “CPS and police presented a court order taking custody of the girl‚ citing the parents’ refusal to provide medical care. Communication with their daughter was cut off‚” The Gateway Pundit wrote. In Wyoming‚ the child was given a chest binder which can restrict breathing‚ bruise and fracture ribs and irritate skin. She’s also been consulted about taking birth control to stop her menstrual cycle.  Now there’s talks that the child will be sent to live with her biological mother in Canada who’s been absent ever since the child’s father remarried. Obviously‚ the Kolstads are furious as well as terrified for their daughter since Canada has one doctor in particular‚ Dr. Wallace Wong who's notorious for helping kids transition. Here's what the child's step mom said: We do not believe the system has tried to treat her mental health issues. Instead‚ it has forcefully focused on the transgender component and on forcing us into doing things against our family values‚ religious beliefs‚ and core moral beliefs. Much damage has already been done to our family. How many families will the system destroy?  Is the state of Montana willing to open a door and take every troubled child who is angry with their parents‚ placing them in group home settings and violating their rights as caregivers‚ providers‚ and parents‚ and morally diminishing and destroying our family units? The parents called the case “medical kidnapping” and are begging for an attorney willing to help them fight for their daughter back before it’s too late.

Factcheck.org may be the least offensive of all the fact-checking websites‚ but that is a low bar as it still has issues with case selection‚ but managing editor Lori Robertson claimed on C-SPAN’s Sunday edition of Washington Journal that they do not. Host and Atlanta Journal Constitution Washington correspondent Tia Mitchell summed up a caller’s question to Robertson‚ “So‚ I guess my question‚ what Greg is asking is‚ do you fact-check both sides? Like‚ are there equal amount of fact-checking when people criticize President Trump‚ for example?”     Robertson claimed the answer was “absolutely” and “We aim to spend an equal amount of time reviewing claims made by Republicans and Democrats and apply the same standards for accuracy to those claims. So‚ I mean‚ you can definitely find stories on our website about things that former President Trump said and things that President Biden has said. Yeah‚ and we also—we love to get suggestions from readers. If anyone sees something and we haven’t fact-checked it and you think this is something we need to pay attention to‚ please email us.” At the top of factcheck.org’s website‚ there is a feature that users can utilize to scroll through what the staff consider to be the top five most recent articles. At the time of this publishing‚ two are about COVID-19 vaccines‚ two are critical of Donald Trump‚ and the other isn’t really a fact-check‚ but rather just a list of numbers related to the Biden economy. Also on the front page‚ there is an additional story about COVID-19 vaccines‚ another one about misuse of the term “Disease X‚” a post critical of a Trump supporter comparing Trump to Abraham Lincoln‚ an additional post critical of Trump‚ and something about the Brooklyn Synagogue Tunnel. Nothing about Democrats. One has to get to page three to find a fact-check about a Democrat‚ in this case‚ a claim from Biden about jobs published on October 26. This isn’t to say that factcheck.org’s articles about the vaccines or Lincoln are wrong‚ but the claim they apply an “equal amount of time” on claims from both sides does not appear to be accurate. Joy Behar was a purported “comedian‚” but during Tuesday’s edition of ABC’s The View‚ she decried the idea of the court jesters speaking true to power and warned that comedy was the source of dictators. She blamed former President Obama for endangering the world because he made fun of former President Trump at a dinner. She also‚ insanely‚ accused comedian Charlie Chaplin of creating Adolf Hitler and ultimately the Holocaust. “[Trump] is one of the most dangerous people of my lifetime to ever be in the Oval Office!” Behar shouted. “He is probably the most dangerous. So‚ you have somebody like -- And he doesn't have a good sense of humor.” Behar traced Trump’s desire to become president all the way back to the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner where Obama and comedian Seth Meyers poked fun at Trump: BEHAR: We all know at the correspondents’ dinner when President Obama made a joke about him -- ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: That was the beginning of the end. BEHAR: His skin is thinner than his hair. And he got so pissed off‚ that he had to run for president and go after poor Obama‚ who was born in this country. He is a menace. “So‚ I present that to this panel. What are you supposed to do?” Behar shouted to the panel‚ apparently looking for advice on whether it was appropriate to make fun of Trump.     Co-host Sara Haines didn’t buy into Behar’s hysteria. “The problem is that hate and fear are dividing things. It pits people against each other on purpose. Comedy is uniting which is why comedy is always where I go when things are the scariest in life‚” she argued. Behar feared the idea of making fun of Trump and suggested his supposedly comedy-fueled rise was a mirror to that of Hitler’s‚ which she blamed on Chaplin and his 1940-classic The Great Dictator for creating: BEHAR: But Sara – Sara‚ that is true. Unfortunately for Behar’s revisionist history‚ that’s not what happened. In reality‚ Hitler became chancellor in 1933 and became Fuhrer in 1934. He invaded Poland in 1939‚ which historians agree marked the start of WWII. And while the Wannsee Conference (the 90-minute meeting to plan what would become known as the Holocaust) did occur in 1942‚ Hitler’s marginalization of Jews in German started when the Nazis took power in 1933. Additionally‚ some of the concentration camps were already in operation as prisons prior to the conference. “But because he's so thin-skinned‚ isn't it just funnier when he's mocked?” staunchly racist and anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin put the focus back on Trump. “No! A group of Republican state agriculture commissioners recently launched an investigation into six big United States banks over their membership in and commitment to the United Nations' environmental‚ social‚ and governance goals‚ Fox Business reported Monday.The coalition‚ consisting of 12 Republican state agriculture commissioners from Alabama‚ Florida‚ Georgia‚ Iowa‚ Kentucky‚ Louisiana‚ Mississippi‚ North Carolina‚ North Dakota‚ South Carolina‚ Texas‚ and West Virginia‚ signed a Monday letter to top executives with Bank of America‚ Citigroup‚ Goldman Sachs‚ JPMorgan Chase‚ Morgan Stanley‚ and Wells Fargo.The officials are pressing for additional information about the banks' membership in the U.N.'s Net-Zero Banking Alliance‚ which aims to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The alliance is a global group of institutions "committed to financing ambitious climate action." The member banks are encouraged to reach the net-zero targets by 2030 or earlier.According to the U.N.'s website‚ 142 banks in 44 countries‚ with 41% of global banking assets‚ are members of the NZBA.A report released by the NZBA last month revealed that the banks are taking aim at the fossil fuel industry‚ real estate‚ and iron‚ steel‚ and cement manufacturing‚ Fox Business reported.The agriculture officials warned that the banks' membership could lead to less food availability‚ increased food prices for consumers‚ and limited credit access for farmers. The officials' letter expressed concerns about the U.N.'s push towards "inefficient electric farm equipment" and a move away from nitrogen fertilizer.Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper told Fox Business‚ "American agriculture is sending a clear signal: We will not bend the knee to the failed‚ left-wing climate agenda of the United Nations that seeks to cripple one of our country's most critical industries.""Now more than ever‚ banks that do business with America should be unquestionably supporting American industries — and that starts with the one that puts food on our tables‚ clothes on our backs‚ and shelter over our heads‚" Harper added. Jean Carroll boasted on Monday that she will use "Trump's money" to purchase a penthouse for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.Last week‚ a jury ordered Donald Trump to pay Carroll $83.3 million for allegedly defaming her over her accusations that he sexually assaulted her nearly three decades ago. Trump denies any wrongdoing. Harvard's plagiarism problem shows no signs of going away — and that's not just because its disgraced former president Claudine Gay remains on the faculty. A new complaint filed Monday with the university suggests that affirmative action expert Sherri Ann Charleston‚ the university's chief diversity and inclusion officer‚ might be another resident plagiarist. The complaint obtained by the Washington Free Beacon identifies 40 examples of alleged plagiarism in two of Charleston's academic works‚ beginning with her 2009 dissertation. "Charleston's dissertation contains a lot of other scholars' language verbatim without quotation marks‚" says the complaint. "Parts of Charleston's dissertation were published previously‚ word for word‚ by her advisor‚ Rebecca Scott‚ and others. Charleston will lift whole sentences and paragraphs from other scholars' work without quotation marks‚ then add a correct reference somewhere in the footnote ending the long paragraph." When Harvard's plagiarism scandal was coming to a head in December‚ Dr. Peter Wood‚ president of the National Association of Scholars‚ underscored the significance of a plagiarized dissertation to New College of Florida board member Christopher Rufo: "What does it mean if the Ph.D. dissertation is plagiarized? It means that the credential is based on falsehoods. It is‚ in effect‚ counterfeit currency." "It has long been the practice of many universities to revoke the degrees of people later found to have plagiarized their dissertations or who committed research fraud on their way to the Ph.D.‚" added Wood. Charleston said in a 2021 speech to Harvard students‚ "The dissertation is not your masterpiece. The dissertation is only and will always only be a demonstration of your ability to conduct original research. Period. Don't try to be great." The complaint filed Monday against Charleston notes further that at least 20% of the DEI czar's only peer-reviewed article — which she supposedly helped her husband‚ LaVar Charleston‚ write — had been published two years prior in a 2012 Journal of Diversity in Higher Education paper. The complaint notes that there is no acknowledgement in Charleston's 2014 paper "that it is substantially a reprint of the 2012 journal article by LaVar Charleston." The overlap between the two papers is uncanny — so much so that the duplication may reportedly even violate copyright law. In addition to language‚ the DEI czar's 2014 paper recycled the methods‚ findings‚ and survey subject descriptions from her husband's previous paper. "About 2/3 of the section entitled 'Findings' in the 2014 paper was previously published as the 'Conclusion' to the 2012 paper‚" said the complaint. "What the 2012 study described as its 'major findings' are practically identical to what the 2014 study described as its 'results.'" Steve McGuire‚ former political theory professor at Villanova University‚ suggested that "Sherri Charleston appears to have used somebody else's research without proper attribution." Monday's complaint‚ which was filed anonymously‚ comes as Harvard is facing questions about the integrity of its research affiliates and the ideology of its diversity bureaucrats‚ most of whom report to the sprawling office that Sherri Ann Charleston oversees. — (@) "The 2014 paper appears to be entirely counterfeit‚" Peter Wood told the Free Beacon. "This is research fraud‚ pure and simple." Charleston received her Ph.D. in history from the University of Michigan and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. After first serving as the assistant vice provost for DEI and chief affirmative action officer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison‚ she was named DEI czar at Harvard on June 22‚ 2020. At the time of her appointment‚ former Harvard president Lawrence Bacow — Gay's immediate predecessor — touted Charleston as an "interdisciplinary scholar whose work at the intersection of history and law informs her efforts to translate theory into practice that improves higher education." When celebrating Charleston's "scholarship‚" Bacow did not give partial credit to LaVar Charleston. The Free Beacon indicated that an expert review of the allegations against the DEI czar turned up everything from minor plagiarism to possible data fraud. It is unclear whether Charleston will take a page out of Claudine Gay's book and similarly resign in disgrace. Gay stepped down on Jan. 2 after being hit with nearly 50 plagiarism allegations implicating seven of her 17 published works‚ including her 1997 doctoral thesis. Gay painted herself as a victim‚ claiming in her resignation letter that she found it frightening "to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus." Charleston‚ her husband‚ and the Journal of Negro Education reportedly did not respond to the Free Beacon's requests for comment. Charleston and Gay are not the only so-called scholars at Harvard who have been accused of academic improprieties this month. Blaze News recently reported that four research scientists with faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School were accused earlier this month of manipulating data in their published research. The four academics accused were Laurie Glimcher‚ CEO of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute‚ one of Harvard's teaching hospitals; William Hahn‚ the institute's COO; Irene Ghobrial‚ director of the Clinical Investigator Research Program; and Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center program director Dr. Kenneth Anderson. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute indicated last week that there were retractions under way for six manuscripts and that another 31 were flagged as "warranting corrections." In a shocking twist‚ President Biden suddenly cares about the invasion at the border. After years of denying a border crisis‚ the president has promised to “shut down the border right now” if given new emergency powers in a bill passed by Congress. However‚ Glenn Beck isn’t so sure new emergency powers are what Biden needs — nor does he believe the President is actually concerned for the people immigration is affecting the most. “I just don’t think that we need any of those special emergency powers‚” Glenn says‚ noting that NBC compared the emergency powers to those introduced during COVID. In Biden’s hands‚ those new emergency powers could do more harm than good‚ especially as he’s doing whatever he can to punish those who have been fighting for the border to close all along: Texans. The state has refused to back down and hand over control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass‚ Texas‚ to federal authorities. Over 20 other states have shown support for Texas as its citizens fight to stop the invasion. However‚ on Friday‚ Biden then banned all new liquid natural gas export approvals‚ which will greatly hurt Texas’ economy. “I want to make things better for the people in Texas‚ that’s why I’m going to shut down 30% of all of America’s supply just coming out of Texas‚” Glenn mocks.
