In 2022‚ Mason Herring‚ a Texas attorney‚ dissolved numerous abortion pills in his wife’s cup of water. Though the baby in Catherine Herring’s womb ended up surviving the attempted murder‚ Mr. Herring pleaded guilty Wednesday to poisoning his wife. The Herrings were reportedly going through marital struggles back in 2022 but decided to start working on their relationship more as time went on. In February‚ Mrs. Herring became pregnant. Then‚ starting in March‚ Mr. Herring began slipping the pill Cyrux‚ an abortion pill sold in Mexico‚ into his wife’s drinks. (Cyrux is the same as misoprostol‚ the first of two pills taken to chemically kill a child in utero and force a miscarriage.) USA Today also reported that Mr. Herring was romantically involved with a co-worker and was not happy that his wife was pregnant. During a trip to west Texas to reconcile their marriage‚ Mr. Herring repeatedly told his wife that she needed to drink more water and “wouldn’t leave until she drank all of it‚” the complaint said‚ according to USA Today. “Catherine Herring stated that she drank out of the cup and stopped to take a breath‚ noticing that the water inside the cup appeared to be cloudy‚” the complaint read. After drinking the water‚ Mrs. Herring got sick and even started bleeding‚ “almost as if she were having her period.” Mr. Herring then reportedly continued to poison his wife's drinks for two more months‚ an allegation proven by video footage obtained after Catherine set up hidden cameras in the home. Their daughter‚ who is now a year old‚ was born 10 weeks premature and has numerous developmental delays and has to go to therapy sessions eight times every week. The child also spent 180 days intubated after being born‚ the same amount of time that her horrible father will spend in jail.   Imagine growing up knowing that your own father tried repeatedly to end your life. To me‚ that so-called father should spend a lot longer than six months in jail. And Mrs. Herring apparently agrees. “I do not believe that 180 days is justice for attempting to kill your child seven separate times‚” she said‚ as AP Newsreported. She’s right. Especially in Texas‚ abortion is not taken lightly. If a woman is caught breaking the law when it comes to obtaining an abortion‚ she‚ along with the abortion provider‚ can face criminal charges. It’s sick what Mr. Herring did and also rather irritating that our justice system isn’t providing actual justice. Hell has frozen over‚ and some in the left-wing corporate media have finally begun to entertain the notion that our 81-year-old President might‚ in fact‚ have some cognitive issues. Now is as good a time as any to remind everyone of how desperate these same journalists were to dismiss that idea as a “right-wing” conspiracy theory cooked up by cynical Republicans and “Russian television‚” until ten seconds ago. In left-wing media land‚ where war is peace and the border is secure‚ Joe Biden has spent the last three years of his presidency wowing reporters with his stunning mental fitness. Here’s a refresher of how that looked:     Even as recently as a few months ago‚ reporters were going on television to insist that Biden was actually in great mental shape. On September 6‚ 2023‚ Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg remarked: “Mentally‚ he’s quite acute.” Back in 2022 when he was still at CNN‚then-White House correspondent John Harwood insisted: “The gears of his mind are working.” He continued: What’s false is that [Biden] is not capable of doing the job right now‚ or he’s not mentally in tune with the demands of the job… That’s an issue pushed by right-wing media‚ but it’s not correct. On the July 14‚ 2023 edition of Morning Joe‚ Washington Post associate editor Eugene Robinson absurdly claimed Biden was “sharp as a tack” according to people who actually spent time with the President: Anybody who’s spent any time with Joe Biden since he’s been in the Oval Office knows that the reality is nothing like the dystopian picture that Republicans are trying to paint‚ of this senile‚ doddering old president. And he’s just sharp as a tack. Let’s not let the corporate media live this one down. For years‚ these hacks have been among the last few people on earth willing to accept that Joe Biden is‚ in fact‚ actually an old man. That isn’t something they should be able to just walk away from when it took this long for them to finally see reality. This should be the end of whatever tiny modicum of credibility they had left.

CNN This Morning hosts Phil Mattingly not once‚ not twice‚ but three times defended President Joe Biden on Friday as they sought to deflect from his Thursday gaffe where he claimed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi was actually the president of Mexico by referencing what they considered to be similar examples from Donald Trump. In the 6:00 Eastern hour there was a panel discussion on whether the gaffe mattered and senior political analyst John Avlon and commentator Errol Louis took the negative side with the former claiming‚ “I think Errol's making a big point‚ it's the difference between a slip and a mistake and mistakes have consequences.” Louis added that a real gaffe could be seen in Gerald Ford‚ “No‚ no‚ Gerald Ford going way back in a presidential debate saying that Poland is not being influenced by the Soviet Union. That's a problem because that's a substantive problem.”     Former legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin not only managed to keep his pants on but was less optimistic that Biden’s gaffe could just be explained away. After he led the panel into a digression about Poland‚ Solidarity‚ and Lech WaÅ‚Ä™sa‚ Mattingly chimed in to add‚ “Worth noting Donald Trump said Viktor Orban was the leader of Turkey last night. That is obviously not true.” Biden has also flubbed the names of two other leaders just this week. First‚ Biden confused French President Emmanuel Macron for François Mitterrand‚ who died in 1996‚ and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel‚ who is a woman‚ for Helmut Kohl who died in 2017 and was a man. Another problem for Biden is not just that he had a gaffe‚ but that Special Counsel Robert Hur wrote that Biden couldn’t remember the years he was vice president and that he couldn’t win a conviction in the classified documents case because a jury would view him as a sympathetic old man with memory problems. Former Bush official Jamil Jaffer made this point during the 7:00 hour‚ “So‚ that's obviously very damaging when you add on to the fact the questions that Rob Hur raises about President Biden's current capability to describe the situation to remember events and then‚ unfortunately‚ to Kate’s point‚ the way the president performed just last night‚ mixing up the presidents of Mexico and Egypt. I mean‚ this is a real challenge for the president. It's going to cause him difficulties in the upcoming election‚ and that's going to be a challenge for him going forward‚ without a doubt.” A terse Harlow simply replied‚ “Right‚ Trump called Orban the president of Turkey last night also.” It should be noted that there are no news reports of Trump calling Orban the president of Turkey on Thursday. Perhaps Harlow and Mattingly were seeing liberals defend Biden on Twitter by reposting a clip of Trump from October. In the 8:00 hour‚ Mattingly was interviewing Democratic Rep. Daniel Goldman and in a tone that indicated he would rather not discuss the gaffe but was being compelled to‚ he asked‚ “What it also created‚ though‚ there was a moment where he conflated or mixed up Mexico with Egypt. And to be clear‚ a couple of hours later‚ Donald Trump thought the leader of Hungary was actually the leader of Turkey. This is just a name flub‚ but it is a moment and it's a moment at a time when voters are concerned and I know the president pushed back on that‚ people get frustrated about that‚ but it's just true.” For his part‚ Goldman referenced a Speaker Mike Johnson flub‚ “Yeah‚ it is also true that Speaker Mike Johnson went on Meet the Press and confused Iran and Israel‚ which is a much more significant mistake than President Sisi as being in Mexico‚ but I'm not going to sit here saying Mike Johnson has no memory loss or‚ you know‚ that he's ill-equipped to be Speaker of the House because he made an obvious‚ incidental‚ tangential mistake.” Yes‚ people who speak live and on camera make mistakes‚ but not everybody has a special prosecutor claim they are too forgetful to be convicted of hoarding classified documents. The White House and the Biden Campaign are not happy with their media friends in the aftermath of the Robert Hur report and President Joe Biden’s world leader gaffes. As they tell it‚ the media does not do an adequate job covering all of Donald Trump’s equivalent statements. On her Friday show on MSNBC‚ Andrea Mitchell not only agreed‚ but claimed that this is what happened to Hillary Clinton in 2016. On the matter of Biden’s various world leader gaffes‚ Mitchell proclaimed‚ "This feeds directly into a major problem that they are seeing in the polling‚ where 76 percent of those polled in our recent poll are concerned about his age and far fewer concerned about Donald Trump's age‚ who‚ when he's not on teleprompter‚ you know‚ we’re not addressing that‚ the White House would point out. The extent to which non-sequiturs and things that don't make sense and confusing Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley.”     White House correspondent Mike Memoli added‚ “Another flash of anger that's coming even more public today is from the Biden campaign and from the White House itself. They feel that we‚ frankly‚ in the media‚ do not do enough job of holding up what the former president does and says on a regular basis in the same way that we are with President Biden. They’re trying to do it through the campaign and they want to see us do it more in our coverage of the race.” Apparently‚ the White House doesn’t watch much media because Mitchell just did the “but Trump” bit they demand. It is also simply not true that the media does not report on what Trump says or that they ignore his bloopers. Additionally‚ Donald Trump never had a special counsel write that he could never be convicted because a jury would deem him to be a well-intentioned but forgetful old man. Social media giant Meta has taken more decisive‚ yet contradicting‚ action against content connected to the growing military conflict in the Middle East. Meta on Thursday suspended the Instagram and Facebook accounts of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for “repeatedly violating” the company’s policy on dangerous and violent organizations. Khamenei has repeatedly called for Israel to be wiped “off the map‚” other remarks associated with genocide and anti-Semitism. On the same day‚ a report alleged Meta could soon censor the word “Zionist‚” a term often used to insult Jewish individuals but otherwise protected by the First Amendment. Meta is planning on potentially expanding its hate speech policy on the term “Zionist‚” according to The Intercept. The social media company reportedly issued a Jan. 30 email to civil groups asking their opinions on whether the term is offensive. “Meta is reviewing this policy in light of content that users and stakeholders have recently reported‚” the platform wrote‚ but did not specify the content in question. “While the term Zionist often refers to a person’s ideology‚ which is not a protected characteristic‚ it can also be used to refer to Jewish or Israeli people‚” Meta Director of Policy Communications Corey Chambliss told The Intercept. “Given the increase in polarized public discourse due to events in the Middle East‚ we believe it’s important to assess our guidance for reviewing posts that use the term Zionist.” Big Tech platforms have come under fire for platforming Khamenei‚ the Iranian head of state currently embroiled in armed tensions between the U.S.-British forces and Iranian-backed militias in the Middle East. Nikki Haley appears to be completely delusional after her embarrassing loss in New Hampshire. “Look what we did in Iowa‚ and you look what we did in New Hampshire. A third-grade teacher in North Carolina has garnered international attention for charging her students rental fees for their desks and chairs‚ while making the kids pay fines for bad behavior.The classroom economy under teacher Shelby Lattimore is receiving praise for teaching kids financial literacy and by providing students with ways to earn a theoretical income for working classroom jobs.Students can earn "Miss Lattimore Bucks" for different responsibilities around the school. Race grifter Robin DiAngelo has made a career out of projecting racism at home and abroad. In a recent podcast‚ she indicated there is probably no better example than in Vatican City. While DiAngelo is admittedly ignorant when it comes to the subject matter of at least one of the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel‚ she is nevertheless convinced that Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo's masterpiece is peak "white supremacy." DiAngelo‚ a supposed expert in the evils of whiteness‚ appeared last month on a little-known podcast entitled‚ "Not Your Ordinary Parts." After rehashing her go-to claims about "white fragility‚" DiAngelo told host Jalon Johnson that she frequently tours around with an image of a 513-year-old fresco in the Sistine Chapel‚ which she figures for a manifestation of identitarian hubris. "When I'm doing a presentation‚ I use a lot of images. You may be surprised that the single image I use to capture the concept of white supremacy is‚ is‚ um‚ Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel — God creating man‚" said DiAngelo. While DiAngelo was able to confidently assert that the image she routinely refers to during lectures was racist‚ she revealed she had no idea what precisely she has been talking about. "You know‚ where God is in a cloud and there's all these angels and He's reaching out and He's touching — I don't know who that is‚" said DiAngelo. "David or something." The fresco DiAngelo uses in her lectures is called "The Creation of Adam‚" Adam being the key figure opposite God. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) announced Thursday new charges against seven illegal immigrants accused of viciously attacking New York Police Department officers last month‚ the New York Post reported.On January 27‚ surveillance footage captured a large group of men outside a migrant shelter kicking and punching two NYPD officers‚ Blaze News previously reported.During a Thursday news conference‚ the notoriously soft-on-crime DA stated that the horrendous crime committed by the mob of migrants “sickened” and “outraged” him. He called the attack “despicable” and “heinous.”Bragg announced that three of the suspects‚ including Yoherny Brito‚ 19‚ Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel‚ 19‚ and Yorman Reveron‚ 24‚ were charged with two counts of assault in the second degree‚ which is a class D felony. Another suspect‚ 19-year-old Kelvin Servita Arocha‚ was charged with two counts of assault for allegedly kicking equipment belonging to the NYPD. Wilson Juarez‚ 21‚ was accused of tampering with physical evidence for allegedly throwing his jacket over one of the aggressors in what appeared to be an attempt to disguise the individual. Juarez was charged with a class E felony. Brito is the only suspect currently in custody. According to Bragg‚ three additional suspects remain at large.The DA was torched by critics after several of the suspects were apprehended and then immediately released from custody without bail. Some of those individuals fled the city and were believed to be headed to California. Several of the illegal migrants were apprehended Monday in Phoenix‚ Arizona‚ Blaze News previously reported.Kenneth Genalo‚ the director of ICE’s New York field office‚ slammed New York City’s “sanctuary” policy for hindering the agency’s attempts to detain the suspects. “We want to help. The problem is‚ due to city policies and state law‚ cooperation is no longer afforded between NYPD and ICE‚” Genalo explained. “There’s hundreds of people a week that are being arrested throughout the city and we can’t determine which are the most violent.”Bragg continued to defend his decision to release the suspected violent criminals back onto the streets of New York City. According to the DA‚ the chaotic surveillance footage made it difficult for investigators to identify and determine who had done what during the assault. “The only thing worse than failing to bring perpetrators to justice is if we ensnare innocent people in the criminal justice system‚” he stated.New York Republican lawmakers are urging Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul to remove Bragg for putting innocent lives at risk by allowing the suspects to go free. I’m not a prophet. I’m just experienced. It didn’t require anything other than above-average intelligence to make the prediction I laid out on the radio last week about Democrats blaming the wide-open border they created on Republican failures to act. Because this has all happened before. In 1990‚ George H.W. Bush signed what was at the time the largest tax increase in American history. This occurred after he won the presidency in 1988 with his “read my lips: no new taxes” pledge‚ but Democrats had pinky-promised him that they would spend more money on deficit reduction than every dollar collected in tax revenue. But did they do that? No‚ they did not. Are most of these Republicans traitors‚ fools‚ or cowards? Yes. Instead‚ the Democrats turned around and ran against Bush for violating his tax pledge and creating a sluggish economy. It was thus that American history was given its first president to lose an election after winning a war. Two decades later‚ we watched Republicans win massive midterm elections against a personally popular president named Barack Obama in both 2010 and 2014. These were historic wins. The 2014 midterm saw one of the largest swings of U.S. Senate seats since Reconstruction. What was the driving issue? Obamacare‚ which Obama promoted with a lie so immense (“If you like your health plan‚ you can keep it”) that even PolitiFact had to call it out. So when Republicans won a sweep of the White House and Congress in 2016‚ was Obamacare repealed? No‚ it was not. And in 2018‚ Democrats won back 40 House seats with health care polling as the top issue on voters’ minds. You can't make this stuff up. And you don’t have to. Routinely Republicans end up owning the travesties that swept them into power in the first place and thus get swept right back out. You can only slip on so many banana peels and step on so many rakes before we stop thinking you’re Mr. Bean just randomly and naively finding yourself in mishap after mishap and start thinking you’re dutifully playing your part in the nefarious plot playing itself out. It’s like watching the Washington Generals play the Harlem Globetrotters. One team is obviously controlled opposition. They're just there as cannon fodder. Yes‚ everyone is really sweating playing the sport of basketball‚ but the outcome is scripted. Congressional Republicans even voted more than 50 times when Obama was president to repeal Obamacare and make him either veto it or‚ when Democrats had the Senate‚ make then-Majority Leader Harry Reid shoot it down. But when the moment of truth arrived in 2017‚ the Republican master plan was to maintain the individual mandate and only repeal the mandate on corporations‚ thus fulfilling every Democratic Party attack ad blasting the GOP as whores for big business. But hey! Populism! History doesn’t just repeat‚ it also rhymes. Democrats can just keep playing the same song we’ve all heard before because Republicans by and large keep on playing the same useful idiots — whether purposely or not.Are most of these Republicans traitors‚ fools‚ or cowards? Yes. Because it does not matter which of these motivational categories an individual quisling like a Mitch McConnell or James Lankford falls into. The predictable outcome is the same regardless. There could be no doubt‚ after McConnell and Lankford worked with the enemy to orchestrate a TARP-level event through legislation that previous generations would have considered treasonous‚ that Democrats would pounce and then shift the blame they deserve upon the alleged opposition party. Every good color revolutionist knows you don’t ever let live the simps who aided and abetted your rise to power‚ lest their spinelessness come back to haunt you. Therefore‚ McConnell and Lankford received their potter’s field and maybe even a jelly bean to freshen their breath after they finished performing for the regime. Lankford was even “honored” on CNN. They have received their reward in full. I even accurately predicted exactly what Biden would say — but not even I thought he would say exactly what I predicted only two hours after I predicted it. But‚ hey‚ when the White House apothecary gives you the signal that the feeble dementia patient’s Adderall drip has maxed out‚ you trot him out to read his lines from the preapproved script and have him pretend to be president while you can. Yes‚ this is all cynical as hell‚ I know. But hell is a cynical place‚ and it’s from hell that much of what we are seeing originates these days.
