Former ICE Director Issues Dire Warning About Terror Threat To U.S. Because Of Biden’s Open Border

Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan issued a dire warning late last week about the serious risk to U.S. national security caused by the historic number of illegal aliens entering the United States. Homan made the remarks during a Fox News interview on Saturday while speaking about how President Joe Biden’s open border policies has caused the problem. “Look, I said for a long time, something is coming,” Homan said, warning that an attack was likely to happen. “No one is going to convince me that a single person off the watchlist hasn’t entered this country and not been apprehended. Just in the southern border alone, we are at 370 or so already.” He cautioned that there are “large” sections of the U.S.-Mexico border that are not actively monitored using high-tech equipment like drones and censors. “We do not know how many thousands of people have crossed in areas where we cannot track them,” he said. “It’s probably as big as a 1.6 [million] known gotaways …” WATCH: WATCH: Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan on the security risk that the millions of known gotaways that have flooded across the border pose: “Something is coming.” Homan adds that that there could be just as many unknown gotaways. Homan: “Look, I said for a long time,… pic.twitter.com/Wl9X4UWBtA — Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) June 2, 2024 There have been numerous instances of illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist that have infiltrated the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested an Afghan illegal alien on the FBI’s terrorist watch list in April after reports surfaced that border officials released him into the country nearly a year ago. Mohammad Kharwin, 48, who illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border, “is a member of Hezb-e-Islami, or HIG, a political and paramilitary organization that the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization,” NBC News reported. The Islamic terrorist group is responsible for killing multiple American soldiers in Afghanistan from 2013 to 2015, according to U.S. officials. The Director of National Intelligence says that Hezb-e-Islami, or “Party of Islam,” is a “virulently anti-Western insurgent group whose goal is to replace the Western-backed Afghan Government with an Islamic state rooted in sharia.” Officials at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) disputed NBC News’ report that Kharwin was on the terrorist watchlist when he entered the U.S. because there was “not conclusive information” to match him to the list, according to a report from Fox News. The terror suspect spent nearly a year freely roaming the streets of America before he was arrested last month, but he was released again by an immigration judge in the Biden administration’s Department of Justice — who was not told of his terrorist ties. He paid his $12,000 bond, was released, and there were “no restrictions on his movements” inside the U.S., NBC News reported. The case came just a couple months after another bombshell report emerged about an Islamic terrorist with al-Shabaab who roamed the U.S. free for nearly a year. In March 2023, according to an internal federal memo, federal authorities caught a terrorist illegally crossing the southern border, then shortly thereafter released him into the country, where he stayed before he was arrested recently in Minnesota. The terrorist, who was determined in mid-January 2024 to be a “confirmed member of al-Shabaab” by the Terrorist Screening Center, was initially considered a “mismatch” after his name was examined through the terror watchlist, The Daily Caller reported. On January 20, he was caught in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Al-Shabaab was named a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department in March 2008. The group pledged loyalty to al-Qaeda in 2012. According to the Counter-Terrorism Guide for the Director of National Intelligence, “Since 2014 al-Shabaab has killed more US citizens than any other al Qa’ida affiliate, and as of 2022, was its wealthiest component.” Related: DHS Says ‘Privacy Interests’ Of Illegals On Terrorist Watchlist Outweigh Americans’ Right To Know

Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s Best Song On Each Of Their Albums

Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s songs served as a starting point for many of us in our early teens around 1973-1975. Their music was very inviting and appealing to listeners like me who were coming of age and just starting to notice rock and roll music. If you were a kid with older brothers, sisters, or parents who were pretty young and into rock music, you had probably already been exposed to the great 60s bands. Yet for young teens like myself who were the oldest in the family, or an only child, or had parents whose record collections were filled with Sinatra The post Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s Best Song On Each Of Their Albums appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

CNN Pundit Scott Jennings Thwacks Democrat on Biden's Student-Loan Erosion of Law

The Democrats are unloading some impressive cognitive dissonance in touting themselves as the defenders of the rule of law while Biden boasts of ignoring the courts (and Congress) in single-handedly forgiving $167 billion in student-loan debt. On CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, CNN analyst Scott Jennings went after young Rep. Louis Auchincloss (D-Mass.) on which part of the judicial system we "have to respect" after the Trump trial. Auchincloss claimed "What Joe Biden said was we have to respect the integrity of the judicial system. When you contrast that with what Speaker Mike Johnson said, which was I'm basically going to lean on my Supreme Court friends to overturn this -- a gross abuse of the separation of powers -- I think that law and order contrast is actually quite sharp for the American public." Biden knows something about "gross abuse of the separation of powers"! Jennings went to work:    AUCHINCLOSS: It's 5 percent have to see this wedge now of one party upholds law and order, and one party is out there voting against border security legislation and trying to defund the FBI. JENNINGS: I'm a little surprised to hear you invoke the respect for the justice system, because, within a 24-hour period, Joe Biden says we have to respect the judicial system, absolute respect. And yet he tweets in the centerpiece of all of his speeches right now is, the Supreme Court tried to stop me, but I did it anyway on student loans. So I'm just wondering which part of the judicial system do we have to respect? Which ones are good and which ones are bad? AUCHINCLOSS: So, just as a point of law here, the Supreme Court ruled that his use of the HEROES Act in 2003 was illegal. He did not use the HEROES Act of 2003. BAKARI SELLERS: Correct. AUCHINCLOSS: He used a different legal mechanism... JENNINGS: He just kept going. AUCHINCLOSS: ... because he upheld the Supreme Court's ruling and found another legal manner. JENNINGS: You're a member of Congress. Does it not offend you that the president of the United States is usurping your authority? Sellers jumped in to say "I would argue that the offense here probably is Donald Trump." A little later, Auchincloss offered a KJP-style answer to Jennings as host Kasie Hunt touted the "progressives" thinking Biden hasn't been rough enough on Trump:  HUNT: But on this -- on this thing, on this convicted felon thing, there are -- there are progressives in your party saying he's not going far enough, he's not hitting it hard enough. What do you think? AUCHINCLOSS: Because the president has a sense of responsibility to the integrity of the judicial system to say, first and foremost, right out of the gate, we must uphold the rule of law. And that contrast, the actions are going to resonate louder than the words.

DOJ says it can't release Biden's special counsel interview for fear of 'deepfakes,' legal scholar slams filing as 'legally absurd'

The Department of Justice declared that it cannot release the audio recordings of President Joe Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur for fear of artificial intelligence and "deepfake" manipulations. However, a legal scholar blasted the DOJ filing as "legally absurd" and "dangerous." The Justice Department defended not releasing the special counsel interview with Biden in a 49-page filing that was released on Friday, according to Politico.“The passage of time and advancements in audio, artificial intelligence, and ‘deepfake’ technologies only amplify concerns about malicious manipulation of audio files," the filing read. The Justice Department stated, "If the audio recording is released here, it is easy to foresee that it could be improperly altered, and that the altered file could be passed off as an authentic recording and widely distributed."Politico noted that the administration was utilizing different methods to try to "squash multiple legal battles brought under the Freedom of Information Act that seek the recordings."Bradley Weinsheimer, an associate deputy attorney general at the DOJ, proclaimed in an affidavit disclosed on Friday night that releasing the audio would be a "substantial risk" and "result in an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy." "If the audio recording is released, the public would know that the audio recording of the interview is available and malicious actors could create an audio deepfake in which a fake voice of President Biden can be programmed to say anything that the creator of the deepfake wishes," Weinsheimer argued. "That deepfake could be passed off as an authentic copy of the recording and widely disseminated."Weinsheimer said releasing the interview through a FOIA request "would be unprecedented and exceedingly harmful" because Biden is an "uncharged individual."Regarding the thousands of hours of Biden audio widely and easily available, Weinsheimer contended that the release of the special counsel interview "would make it far more likely that malicious actors could pass off a deepfake as the authentic recording."He also claimed that releasing the interview audio "would do very little to advance the public's understanding of Special Counsel Hur's activities given the substantial amount of information already in the public record."'The filing is logically and legally absurd. It is also dangerous.'Legal scholar Jonathan Turley slammed the filing as "logically and legally absurd. It is also dangerous.""The argument ignores that, if an audiotape is released, it is harder to pass off a fake as genuine," Turley rebutted. "As it stands, actors can claim tapes as leaked or derived from other sources. In the absence of an official tape, such arguments can be difficult to refute."The legal expert continued, "The fact that this spurious argument is being made by Merrick Garland’s Justice Department is another disappointing sign that he has abandoned his pledge to remain apolitical in office. This litigation is clearly designed for one overriding purpose: to delay any release until after the election when it cannot harm the president."Hur’s 388-page report found that Biden willfully retained classified documents obtained when he was vice president. However, the special counsel did not bring charges against President Biden because of diminished cognitive abilities and he was described as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."Like Blaze News? Fauci admits there was no scientific evidence for 6-foot social distancing or masking children, concedes lab leak was 'possible'

Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted that there was no scientific evidence behind the 6-foot social distancing protocol or the guidelines for masking children, according to bombshell congressional testimony. Fauci also conceded that the lab leak theory is a "possible" explanation for the origins of COVID-19. On Friday, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released 500 pages of transcripts of a congressional interview with Fauci that was conducted in January 2024. During the interview, Fauci was asked if there were any scientific studies showing that the 6-foot social distancing guidelines were an effective deterrent to spreading the coronavirus. Fauci – who was the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for nearly four decades – responded, "I was not aware of studies that in fact, that would be a very difficult study to do."Fauci was a top leader of the White House Coronavirus Task Force under former President Donald Trump and the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden. Also during the congressional interview, Fauci was asked if he recalled "reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?"He replied that he "might have," but added, "I don't recall specifically that I did."Fauci was then questioned if he had seen any of the scientific studies showing children wearing masks suffered learning loss as well as speech and development issues.Fauci answered, "No. But I believe that there are a lot of conflicting studies too, that there are those that say, yes, there is an impact, and there are those that say there's not. I still think that’s up in the air."During the interview, Fauci was asked if he believed that the coronavirus had the origin of a "laboratory accident" or if the lab leak was a conspiracy theory. "Well, it's a possibility. I think people have made conspiracy aspects from it. And I think you have to separate the two when you keep an open mind, that it could be a lab leak or it could be a natural occurrence," Fauci said. He continued, "I've mentioned in this committee that I believe the evidence that I've seen weighs my opinion towards one, which is a natural occurrence, but I still leave an open mind. So I think that in and of itself isn't inherently a conspiracy theory, but some people spin off things from that that are kind of crazy."The subcommittee asked if we'll ever know the origins of the COVID-19 virus, to which he replied that the lack of cooperation from the Chinese government "makes it less and less likely that we'll ever know."The release of the transcripts arrived just days before Fauci is set to testify in his first public hearing since his retirement in December 2022.Fauci will testify before the House's COVID Select Subcommittee on Monday.Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) said in a statement: "Retirement from public service does not excuse Dr. Fauci from accountability to the American people. On June 3, Americans will have an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Fauci about his role in overseeing our nation’s pandemic response, shaping pandemic-era polices, and promoting singular questionable narratives about the origins of COVID-19."BlazeTV host Matt Kibbe and his fact-finding team at Free the People have spent months investigating the origins of COVID-19 and how Fauci may have been lying during the entire pandemic. Kibbe explained how things could go south for Fauci. "A lot of Fauci deputies are starting to talk," Kibbe stated. "We had a former NIH director announce in testimony that of course we were doing gain-of-function research. So pretty much a smoking gun."Blaze Media recently released the new docuseries, "The Coverup," which Kibbe said the investigative series will "shine light on the shadowy government figures who caused so much pain and suffering with their tyrannical overreach during the pandemic."He contended, "They would rather we not uncover what really happened. They want us to just move on. Unfortunately for them, I’m not going to let that happen."Watch the gripping trailer for "The Coverup" below.
