The Quiet Unraveling of the Man Who Almost Killed Trump

Thomas Crooks was acting strangely. Sometimes he danced around his bedroom late into the night. Other times, he talked to himself with his hands waving around. These unusual behaviors intensified last summer, after he graduated with high honors from a community college. He also visited a shooting range, grew out his thin brown hair and searched online for “major depressive disorder” and “depression crisis.” His father noticed the shift — mental health problems ran in the family. On the...

Why Did the Liberal Justices Write Unanimous Conservative Rulings at the Supreme Court?

The Supreme Court handed down three blockbuster rulings Thursday focused on hot-button cultural issues, and all three of them went in the conservative direction. That’s not exactly a surprise—the court has a conservative majority, after all. The first real surprise was that the rulings were unanimous. The second real surprise? Each of the court’s three liberal justices wrote one of the opinions. Justice Elena Kagan, a Barack Obama appointee, wrote the opinion in Smith &...

Stop Posting, and Start Legislating—A Message to the GOP from Gen Z

We remember. We remember the Paul Ryan years. We remember the lofty promises, the press conferences with tax cut charts, the selfies with Trump in the Roosevelt Room. And we remember the disappointment—because when Republicans controlled the House, Senate, and White House, barely anything bold got done. The border wasn't secured. Obamacare wasn't repealed. The swamp wasn't drained. The only thing that moved quickly was the clock—and opportunity slipped away. The bills stalled...

Trump Administration Makes New Federal Employees Write Essays to Prove MAGA Loyalty

While the first four months of President Donald Trump’s second term have been characterized by mass layoffs and hiring freezes, the government is about to start accepting new employees — with one major new requirement. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management laid out the guidelines for hopeful applicants in a May 29 memo. In keeping with Trump’s rejection of diversity, equity and inclusion hiring practices, the memo stresses that the “Merit Hiring Plan” focuses...

The Party of Anarchy

It is becoming quite apparent that in the Age of Trump, the Democratic Party has become the party of anarchy. Democrats supported the criminal George Floyd and the BLM and Antifa riots that followed his death. These riots were organized anarchy, whether in Minneapolis, Portland, Oregon, Seattle or elsewhere. Democratic Party politicians and political leaders supported the anarchist rioters and condemned the police who tried to restore order. Now, the Democratic Party-supported anarchists are supporting the “protestors” who interfere with lawful ICE raids in Los Angeles, New York City, and elsewhere. (RELATED: The Democrats Have Normalized Political Violence) Democratic Party officials at all levels of government have demonstrated that in opposing Trump’s governing agenda, anything, including dangerous, violent anarchy, is fair game. The championing of illegal aliens is now the cause célèbre of Democratic officials, whether in Democratic mayors’ “sanctuary cities” or counties where George Soros-supported Democratic district attorneys promote soft-on-crime, anti-police agendas. Even Democratic judges have gotten in on the act, as evidenced by Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan’s arrest for obstructing federal agents in the lawful performance of their duties in connection with attempting to make a lawful arrest of an illegal alien in the county courthouse. Democrats are for illegal aliens because Trump is trying to arrest and/or deport as many as possible, as he promised during the 2024 presidential campaign. (RELATED: Sanctuary Cities: The Dangerous Illusion of Virtue) The most recent and blatant example of this is the reaction of Democratic leaders to Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops to restore order in Los Angeles, where pro-illegal alien protestors and rioters have violently interfered with ICE raids designed to enforce federal criminal laws. The rioters, some of whom have thrown rocks at federal law enforcement vehicles and engaged in other violent acts against ICE agents, have the effective support of Democratic officials, including in Governor Gavin Newsom’s office, who blame Trump, not the rioters, for the clashes in California. Fox News reports that the Governor’s office compared the violent pro-illegal alien riots to sports celebrations. There was a time when Democratic officials and political leaders were for law and order — Frank Rizzo as mayor of Philadelphia, Richard Daley as mayor of Chicago, George Wallace as governor of Alabama, John Connally as governor of Texas, and many others. Self-described liberal Gannon University history professor Jeff Bloodworth traced the Democratic Party’s move away from law and order politics to the New Left’s influence and later capture of the party in the 1960s and early 1970s. In 1968, Republican Richard Nixon and third-party candidate George Wallace both ran “law and order” campaigns, combining for more than 56 percent of the popular vote in that year’s presidential election. When Democrats ran New Left-supported candidate George McGovern in 1972, Nixon won 49 states in one of the greatest landslides in presidential election history. The House of Representatives recently passed two bills to crack down on sanctuary cities, but only five of 213 House Democrats supported the bills. George Fishman of the Center for Immigration Studies shows how, during the Biden administration, Democrats effectively transformed themselves into a pro-illegal immigration party. Fishman believes this is a crucial reason why Trump won his second term as president in 2024. Trump essentially ran a “law and order” campaign, with immigration and serious crimes committed by immigrants as key talking points throughout the campaign. There are no more Frank Rizzos or Richard Daleys in the Democratic Party. Trump Derangement Syndrome has transformed them into the party of anarchy. READ MORE from Francis P.
