UPS Offers Thousands Of Employees Buyout As Part Of “Largest Network Reconfiguration” Ever

UPS announced earlier this year that it planned to reduce its delivery load with Amazon by 50%. Along with the delivery reduction comes a change in retail operations, and thousands will lose their jobs. According to Newsweek, UPS offered thousands of frontline workers buyouts. UPS called the voluntary buyout for full-time drivers the “largest network reconfiguration” ever. “We are looking to offer our full-time U.S. drivers the opportunity to participate in a voluntary program that would provide an opportunity to receive a generous financial package if they choose to leave UPS,” the company shared in a statement with Newsweek. UPS did not disclose the amount of the buyout but confirmed employees would receive earned retirement benefits, pensions, and healthcare. UPS VIOLATES TEAMSTERS NATIONAL CONTRACT WITH PLAN FOR BUYOUTSUnited Parcel Service (UPS) is expected to unveil an illegal plan later this month to buyout full-time employees represented by the Teamsters, a corporate scheme that will directly violate the union’s national… pic.twitter.com/FgdXQWWQLA— Teamsters (@Teamsters) July 3, 2025 The Teamsters Union Shared Its Displease With The Buyout Plan From UPS Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien shared his dissatisfaction with UPS’ buyout plan in a scathing rant on the Teamsters official X account. “UPS is trying to weasel its way out of creating good union jobs here in America by dangling insulting buyouts in front of Teamsters drivers. It is an illegal violation of our national contract,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “UPS is obligated to establish tens of thousands of new full-time jobs under the agreement. But CEO Carol Tomé and UPS’s corporate managers are hoping that if they offer paltry severance packages to enough workers, no one will notice the company is setting the union’s contract on fire. UPS Teamsters work too damn hard to be treated with such disrespect.” UPS told Newsweek that it will work through the buyouts, staff reductions, and closures to maintain excellent service to customers. “As we work through our network reconfiguration, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing our customers with the reliable, industry-leading service they expect from UPS,” a spokesperson shared. “Our members cannot be bought off and we will not allow them to be sold out. The Teamsters are prepared to fight UPS on every front with every available resource to shut down this illegal buyout program,” Sean O’Brian added. “UPS needs to live up to the existing contract. They must honor their commitments, just as Teamsters do every day, reliably delivering packages to hundreds of millions of Americans. Profits are not more important than people, not at UPS or any other employer.” This story’s featured image is by Erik McGregor/LightRocket via Getty Images. MICHAEL GLASSNER: Socialist Fantasy, Urban Decay: What New York’s Mayoral Race Means For America

The rise of Zohran Mamdani in New York City politics may seem like a local curiosity — just another far-left firebrand in a deep-blue city. But his nomination as the Democratic standard-bearer for mayor is a canary in the coal mine. The Democratic Party’s flirtation with socialism is no longer fringe — it’s on the […]

‘Texans Are Tough’: Cornyn Praises Heroic Rescues, Mourns Losses Amid Ongoing Flood Dangers

Texas is unified in prayer and rescue efforts as the flooding hazard remains, Sen. John Cornyn shared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” this morning. As of Sunday afternoon, CNN reported the death toll from Friday’s devastating flash flood in Central Texas had risen to 68, with 11 young girls still missing from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp on the banks of the Guadalupe River. At least 41 people are known to be missing, Gov. Greg Abbott revealed at a Sunday afternoon briefing. Additionally, Cornyn noted, it is unknown how many Fourth of July day campers may have been lost because they didn’t have to register with anybody.  While it “was a 100-year flood event in an area that had been known to flood,” it had never flooded this much and this quickly, Cornyn said. “The flood waters rose 26 feet in about 45 minutes in the middle of the night,” he explained. The senator hailed the heroic effort to rescue those caught in the flash flood. “It’s a very sad time,” Cornyn said, “but it’s also a time when 850-plus campers were accounted for and recovered.” Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, announced his two daughters who attended Camp Mystic were evacuated and he and his wife are now reunited with them. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem commended a U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer who, she said, “saved an astonishing 165 victims” during “the first rescue mission of his career.” United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and Petty Officer Scott Ruskin, directly saved an astonishing 165 victims in the devastating flooding in central Texas. This was the first rescue mission of his career and he was the only triage coordinator at the scene.Scott Ruskin is…— Secretary Kristi Noem (@Sec_Noem) July 6, 2025 President Donald Trump and Noem ensured Abbott’s request for federal disaster relief was fulfilled. This morning Texans are praying for these families. God be with them during this time of unimaginable pain and suffering. I wanna thank all of the first responders and volunteers that…— Attorney General Ken Paxton (@KenPaxtonTX) July 5, 2025 Cornyn said Texans are united in praying for “those who are grieving and those who are still unaccounted for” as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott declared July 6 a day of prayer. Declared this Sunday, July 6th, as a Day of Prayer in Texas in response to the floods in the Hill Country.I invite Texans to join me in prayer for the communities affected by this disaster. pic.twitter.com/vHWt1CQPzW— Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) July 6, 2025 Cornyn warned Texans that they still must pay attention to weather reports and local and state officials “to be safe because the danger is not completely over.” “Texans are tough, but we’re also understanding that people are grieving, and it’s a very sad time,” Cornyn said. Sunday afternoon, a video emerged on social media reportedly of Camp Mystic survivors riding on a bus after the flood hit. As they passed raging waters and widespread devastation, the children were singing hymns. Here are some survivors from Camp Mystic. It's ok to cry. It's a traumatizing experience. Lives were lost. ?Their singing and praising God has brought tears to my eyes. ??????Brave brave girls. ?????? pic.twitter.com/XzQSXFshU4— Sassafrass84 (@Sassafrass_84) July 6, 2025 “I’ll shout it from the mountaintop: ‘Praise God!’ I want my world to know the Lord has come to me. What the 12-Day War Hath Wrought

Not many people today remember the exhilaration so many Americans felt after Israel’s victory in the Six-Day War in June 1967. The liberal folks around me at work and law school then had been frustrated and puzzled at the lack of progress being made in Vietnam by the 448,000 U.S. troops stationed there, and the sudden and astonishing success of the Israel Defense Forces, symbolized by the eye-patched Gen. Moshe Dayan, was a refreshing contrast. No talk then of Israelis as colonialist settler oppressors. You will not encounter much in the way of exhilaration in similar milieus today at Israel’s multifront and even more astonishing victory, capped off by the U.S. bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, in what is now called the 12-day war of June 2025. In contrast to the success in 1967, when there was minimal American involvement, this success owed much to American collaboration, appropriately kept secret before the fact. It came also amid a series of significant and largely unexpected policy successes for President Donald Trump—China trade concessions, NATO summit agreeing to 5% of gross domestic product defense spending, Supreme Court overturning of single-judge national injunctions, G7 finance ministers’ climb-down on global corporate tax, negotiation of a Rwanda-Congo peace deal, Canada’s repeal of a digital services tax, S&P stock index at an all-time high, Senate passage of the “Big Beautiful bill.” We are at “Peak Trump,” as Matthew Continetti wrote in The Free Press. Democrats’ sour responses to Trump’s domestic successes, based on some mix of principled disagreements and opportunistic politicking, are understandable. Their sour responses to the Israeli and American success against the Iranian regime’s nuclear program are another matter. The result of the Six-Day War elated both liberal and conservative Americans. The result so far of the 12-day war was, by many Democrats and many in the press, denounced as the overture to a massive ground war like the 2003 Iraq invasion and deconstructed by leaked memos suggesting the mullahs would have their nuclear weapons program up and running in a few weeks. It’s hard to resist The Wall Street Journal’s Walter Russell Mead’s conclusion that Trump’s second term is “the most consequential foreign-policy presidency since Richard Nixon left the White House.” His scorn for outworn shibboleths and changed circumstances has produced successes that deserve respect, if not total agreement from his domestic opponents, instead of the knee-jerk opposition and shopworn sloganeering seen so far. The aggressive nationalism of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, both rooted in historic tradition, has relegated the hopes of the Clinton and Bush eras that a post-communist Russia and a post-impoverished China would adhere to international rules and foreswear predatory expansion. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has prompted NATO partners, which ignored the Barack Obama administration’s quiet goal of 2% defense spending, to agree to Trump’s louder demand and meet his raise to 5%. Far from destroying NATO, as his critics feared, he has strengthened it. Similarly, he has ignored demands, like those of 2024 vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, that he pressure Israel to accept the outworn goal of a “two-state solution.” Instead, he is working for a Middle East free from the Iranian nuclear threat and open to mutually beneficial agreements like his first-term Abraham Accords. Trump’s adherence to his pre-escalator vows that Iran should not get nuclear weapons, while flummoxing supporters like Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, has surely gotten Putin’s and X’s attention. They surely didn’t miss, when Israel began its precision bombing and targeted drone attacks on June 13, that Trump told Reuters that he had given Iran 60 days to reach an agreement, “and today is the 61st day.” Democrats were still busy disparaging Trump’s willingness to back down on trade deals with the acronym TACO (“Trump always chickens out”). But Xi may not want to risk a 61st day on Taiwan. And while Democrats dismiss Trump’s boast that Putin didn’t launch an attack on Ukraine while he was president, the fact is that he didn’t. Will he risk a 61st-day surprise if Trump, losing confidence as his recent statements suggest he has in his good intentions, sets a time limit on his aggression in Ukraine? Israel’s strikes on Iran, the historian Niall Ferguson posted, are “a decisive victory for the West.” Just as the Six-Day War largely removed the threat of Israel being overrun, the 12-day war largely removed the threat of Israel being annihilated by an Iranian nuclear attack. The Six-Day War was followed in time by Nixon’s resupply of Israel in the October War of 1973 and by his simultaneous maneuver of splitting Russia and China in what had been a stalemated bipolar world. His opening to China, though criticized in both parties’ presidential primaries, was followed by presidents of both parties past well behind what now appears to have been its sell-by date. What will follow the 12-day war can’t be known for sure. But it looks like Trump’s policies have moved toward a more peaceful Middle East, a Europe more alert to Russian aggression, and perhaps an increasing caution by the leaders of Russia and China. These are consequential achievements, like Nixon’s, that deserve to be taken seriously even by the president’s detractors. ?????? COPYRIGHT 2025 CREATORS.COM We publish a variety of perspectives. It's time to end the WHO's secret grip on American health care

It’s common sense: Local challenges should be confronted and solved locally whenever possible. Protecting Americans’ health is no exception. Yet few realize that the World Health Organization still exerts influence over American health care, even as the United States has taken steps to separate from it. Earlier this year, a presidential executive order initiated the process of withdrawing the U.S. from the WHO, citing concerns that the organization prioritizes politics over science and public accountability. The future of all health care should be patient-centered, not controlled by slow-moving, politically driven bureaucracies. There is no question that leaving the WHO was and still is an important step forward for American patients, but there is much more work to be done before the organization’s foreign influence is extracted from our health care landscape and families can fully access the treatments that are best for them. The next critical step? Detach the U.S. medical insurance coding system from the WHO’s model to ensure that it gives patients access to all medical procedures, from lifesaving precision oncology options to restorative, cutting-edge reproductive health therapies. Unfortunately for patients, U.S. diagnostic codes are modeled after the WHO’s bulky and inherently limited insurance coding protocol. These codes play a pivotal role in determining patients’ access to care, provider reimbursement, and clinical outcome reporting. In the 1990s, the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics began to establish ICD-10-CM codes, which conform to the WHO’s framework governing how health care providers bill diagnoses. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services likewise developed ICD-10-PCS codes — which mirror WHO coding protocol — for use in inpatient hospital settings. Just one of the many problems with each of these coding systems is that they are slow to adapt to medical advancements. Restorative reproductive medicine, for example, is a comprehensive approach to solving underlying fertility complications at the core. RRM seeks to heal human reproduction systems metabolically, hormonally, and otherwise. Already, it has helped thousands of couples struggling with infertility to have children. The CDC and CMS bureaucracies have historically failed to recognize and cover evidence-based reproductive treatments like RRM that address the root causes of infertility, leaving families seeking such treatments — such as natural family planning/fertility awareness-based methods — to cover the costs themselves or resort to in-vitro fertilization to achieve pregnancy. At its core, inadequate diagnostic coding for RRM discourages many providers from relying on RRM to heal patients at all because they know that code limitations will prevent them from being reimbursed through insurance.Unfortunately, the ICD-10 codes doctors are forced to use do not accurately represent the nuanced hormonal, structural, and immune-related causes of infertility such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and luteal phase defects that so often prevent pregnancy. Even Current Procedural Terminology codes developed by the American Medical Association do not reflect modern fertility-preserving surgical interventions such as laparoscopic restoration of fallopian tubes, excision of endometriosis, or varicocele repair.Instead, doctors who wish to deliver comprehensive treatments such as these are tied into relying on non-specific or “unlisted” codes, leading to denials of coverage and limited patient access to restorative procedures, which, if covered, would be far more cost-effective than artificial reproductive technologies like IVF. Perhaps even worse for American patients and doctors alike is the fact that unclear coding undermines transparency and accurate reporting in these vital areas of medicine. Failing to differentiate between RRM's and IVF’s distinct clinical approaches, ethical frameworks, and long-term health implications limits transparency in outcome reporting while obscuring the true effectiveness and cost-efficiency of restorative treatments. Each of these coding challenges points to a dire need for an evidenced-based, patient-centered, common coding lexicon nationwide. The good news is that we have ample evidence that these coding changes are possible and effective. My organization, which facilitates common-sense, cost-saving therapies for our members, already allows providers to bill for effective treatments so often inaccessible through traditional insurance companies. The federal government would be wise to do the same. The future of all health care should be patient-centered, not controlled by slow-moving, politically driven bureaucracies that rely on outdated, foreign billing and coding restrictions.

Go woke, go MEGA broke — this luxury company’s sales just plummeted 97%

2025’s Pride Month went out with a glorious whimper. Many didn’t even notice it happened at all. Compared to previous Junes when rainbow-drenched hordes of people screamed their sexual fetishes in the streets, this June was pretty quiet. The truth is, Pride Month “is diminishing,” says Blaze Media senior politics editor Christopher Bedford. “Except for Jaguar.” Last fall, the luxury car company released a bizarre commercial featuring “nothing but androgynous, strange people cavorting in dresses.” Their product — you know, cars — didn’t make the cut. Zero Jaguar vehicles were featured in the advertisement that was intended to launch their nonbinary rebranding campaign. But that’s not all Jaguar did. As part of its "Reimagine" campaign aimed at transitioning into an all-electric, ultra-luxury brand by 2025, the company discontinued nearly all of its beloved previous models. In other words, “They got rid of all ... the amazing stuff,” Bedford says. And Jaguar is paying sorely for it. This April, it registered just 49 cars in all of Europe — a 97.5% drop from 1,961 sales in April 2024.“Go woke, go broke,” Bedford says.Through the entire campaign, from its weird “Copy Nothing” commercial to its discontinuation of the very models that made it a sought-after brand, Jaguar has hit the “self-destruct” button, says Matthew Peterson, Blaze News editor in chief and co-host of “Blaze News: The Mandate.”“Everything about Jaguar was refuted,” he says. “Who do you think buys Jaguars?”The company “used to be synonymous with British engineering, and now it's gay,” Bedford says.Thankfully, Jaguar’s refusal to abandon the path of wokeness is becoming a rarity among big companies these days. Most have walked back the pandering and virtue signaling and returned to doing practical business, which doesn’t include shoving DEI and LGBTQ+ agendas down consumers’ throats. While “the wokeness is still present and accounted for,” we’re witnessing the beginning of the “end of all this nonsense,” Peterson says.To hear more of the conversation, watch the episode above.Want more from 'Blaze News | The Mandate'?To enjoy more provocative opinions, expert analysis, and breaking stories you won’t see anywhere else, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
