Moldova's opposition wants to end up in Russia

FOREIGN. In Moldova, a state of emergency prevails, while skyrocketing prices and dissatisfaction among the Russian-speaking part of the population make the opposition demand a union with Russia. In a report in the Sunday Times, the picture is drawn of a country on the verge of collapse, which could be the next target for Vladimir Putin after Ukraine.

Moldova is in a difficult situation with 30 percent inflation, skyrocketing electricity bills and an economic crisis.

A large part of the population suffers from poverty and corruption is common.

A state of emergency prevails in the country and recently it closed its airspace completely. President Maia Sandu claims that Russia has concrete plans to invade the country.

As protesters gather in Chisinau, there are divisions within the country and the opposition now wants to unite with Russia.

The Shor Party, which together with the Socialist Party forms the opposition, is described by some on the opposing side as an organized criminal group and by others as Russian agents.

But also many ordinary people believe that the country should be part of Russia, not least because many were actually better off in the Soviet Union than in today's Moldova.

Tatiana Sosova, who works as a cook at a school, told the Sunday Times that she remembers the old school system, where even PE lessons were free for everyone. Today, she pays a lot of money so that her son can play water polo.

- My wish is for Russia and Moldova to be united again, she tells the Sunday Times.

A member of parliament in Moldova's ruling party, Radu Marian, is not impressed with the two opposition parties now wooing voters with promises of closer ties to Russia.

- There is competition between Shor and the Socialists to be Moscow's number one guy. The opposition is not a true opposition, they are basically Russian agents, says Marian to the Sunday Times.

For Moldova, a Russian attack in full force would be devastating, but there are also indications of the presence of Western special forces in the country.

The Western alliances would probably make a minor coup d'état-type Russian intervention difficult to carry out, short of a full-fledged military invasion. For the West, it is now about preventing a Russian counterpart to the type of coup that the US fueled in Ukraine in 2014.

Moldova is Europe's poorest country and lacks EU and NATO membership.

Despite Moldova's ambition to join the EU, as with Ukraine, much needs to change, including reduced crime and corruption within the political elite.

There is something that the people of the USA need to understand. The EU is controlled by the left/islam, and they have been pushing very hard for a civil war in Europe. This can be seen by the people pushing back in France, Germany, Ireland and many other countries as the natives are been crushed by the mass of so called "refugees"
What is not been reported by the big media but can be found in many small news papers is that weapons that have been sent to Ukraine have been turning up in large amounts in the hands of muslim gangs. The masters of the EU are arming the muslims for the up coming war in the hope they can take complete control over the natives of Europe. People of the USA see what is happing in Europe and understand that same is been done in the USA. The war in Ukraine is an easy way to arm the muslims of Europe
