An Arkansas man charged with second-degree murder for killing an accused sex offender whom he found in a car with his 14-year-old daughter announced he’s running for Lonoke County sheriff. Aaron Spencer, 36, is accused of shooting and killing 67-year-old Michael Fosler after finding him with his missing daughter. At the time, Fosler faced over 40 child sex crime charges involving Spencer’s daughter. Spencer’s trial date is scheduled for January of next year. He was pronounced dead while still at the scene. Spencer was taken into custody and then transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center. According to court files, Fosler had been charged with two counts of alleged internet talking of a child, two counts of 4th-degree sexual assault, and two counts of sexual indecency with a child. Additionally, Fosler was also charged with possession of 36 counts of child sexual abuse materials. The announcement of Spencer’s bid for Lonoke County sheriff comes about three months before he is set to stand trial on January 26, 2026. “I’m the father who acted to protect his daughter when the system failed,” Spencer said in a video announcing his candidacy. “Through my own fight for justice, I have seen firsthand the failures in law enforcement and in our circuit court. And, I refuse to stand by while others face these same failures,” he continued. “This campaign isn’t about me; it’s about every parent, every neighbor, every family who deserves to feel safe in their homes and safe in their community. It’s about restoring trust, where neighbors know law enforcement is on their side and families know they will not be left alone in a moment of need,” he added. “Back in 2024, Spencer woke up to find his 14-year-old daughter missing from her bed. There was a stuffed animal in a hoodie under her bed sheets. According to court documents, Spencer then began searching the neighborhood and found his daughter in a car with 67-year-old Michael Fosler. The monster who hurt our child was charged quickly, but released even faster on a $50k bond,” she added. “He was awaiting court in December for several felonies in relation to what he did to our child.” Heather also described the charges against her husband as “outrageous” and said that he was a “hero,” because she believed her “child would have not come home if my husband hadn’t found her.” Spencer’s pre-trial date is set for December 16, and his trial will begin on January 26, 2026. The gang was designated a foreign terrorist organization by the Trump administration in September. Godinez said he had received “an intelligence report” Friday warning of a potential escape attempt. Investigators now suspect inside help and have opened a corruption probe into prison staff. President Trump mostly received a warm welcome from Israeli lawmakers as he addressed them at a speech at Israel’s Knesset. However, two lawmakers were swiftly removed after protesting President Trump. Israeli lawmakers Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif, who are both members of the left leaning Hadash coalition were booted from the Knesset after vocally protesting President Trump while he was giving his speech. The Hill reported more details on the lawmakers being booted: President Trump’s speech at Israel’s Knesset, its parliament, was briefly interrupted by lawmakers who were expelled from the plenum after shouting slogans during Trump’s remarks. The Jerusalem Post identified those protesting as Ayman Odeh, an Arab Israeli and member of the Hadash alliance and Ofer Cassif, a far-left politician who is also a member of the Hadash coalition. Odeh held up a sign that said “Recognize Palestine,” when he was ejected from the room. He later wrote in a post on the social platform X that he is calling for recognition of a Palestinian state as “the simplest demand, a demand that the entire international community agrees on… There are two peoples here, and neither is going anywhere.,” the post read in Hebrew, as translated by X. Cassif also posted on X that their protest was “to demand justice,” accusing the Israeli government of occupation and apartheid against Palestinians. “Refuse to be occupiers! The agency said the Socata TBM-700 aircraft had flown out of New Bedford Regional Airport. McGuirk said the plane may have been trying to land at the airport, but added that “it does not appear that the pilot provided the Airport with a flight plan.” A photo and video on social media showed the wreckage in flames on the highway in the rain. There was also a wrecked car in the median, but it’s not known if that was involved in the crash. “Federal Aviation Administration Officials will likely assume primary responsibility for the investigation into the circumstances of the crash,” state police said. In a precedent-setting legal case, a 51-year-old man in Canada has been sentenced to nine months in jail after being found guilty of willful promotion of hatred and antisemitism. The case marks the first-ever conviction in a Canadian court for “Holocaust denial.” “Kenneth Paulin, 51, was sentenced to nine months in jail and two years of probation on September 18 for the wilful promotion of hate against Jewish people and the wilful promotion of antisemitism by condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust,” the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) stated in a press release. A Canadian man has been sentenced to jail for Holocaust denial. The man, a 51-year-old named Kenneth Paulin, will serve nine months in jail along with two years of probation. This marks the first-ever conviction in a Canadian court for Holocaust denial. Paulin’s posts included claims that Jews are “demons,” “the greatest mass murderers in human history,” “to blame for every American who falls” and responsible for “almost 100%” of the world’s problems.
