UN Invokes Article 99 of Behalf of Gaza

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres invoked Article 99 of the U.N. charter on Wednesday for the first time. He cited a “severe risk of collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza” as the war rages on between Israel and the militant group Hamas. In a letter to José Javier De la Gasca Lopez Domínguez‚ the […] The post UN Invokes Article 99 of Behalf of Gaza appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Climate Kook John Kerry Is Coming for Your A/Cs &; Refrigerators

COP 28 was a complete farce. The President of COP28 was Sultan Al Jaber‚ the half-brother of Crown Prince bin Salman. The identity of the suspect has not been released and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill said that he did not have information about a possible motive at this time. “No more threat to the community. The suspect is deceased. Right now‚ we know there are three victims‚ but unknown extent of the injuries‚” he said in a subsequent statement. “That number could change. We will update you when we know more.” ABC News later reported that there were at least three people killed in the incident. The shooting prompted an overwhelming response from law enforcement officials‚ according to various videos posted online. ‘Angry And Heartbroken’: MIT Alumni Challenge Alma Mater Over Response To Pro-Palestinian Protests

A group of Jewish alumni from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology sent a letter this week to leadership at their alma mater asking them to offer a stronger response to the pro-Palestinian protests that have broken out on campus. In a letter to MIT’s board of directors‚ President Sally Kornbluth‚ and Faculty Chair Mary Fuller‚ the Jewish MIT Committee said that they were “sick” and “distraught” by the “state of affairs” at the university and that the campus had been taken over by anti-Semitism. “An institution that prizes mathematical rigor and consistency and physical and immutable laws is now wrought by arbitrary and discriminatory double standards. Law-breakers flaunt the law‚ while law-abiders are shunned and left to fend for themselves‚” the letter said. “Jewish students are blocked from attending classes‚ and fearful of setting foot on campus. Jewish employees fear bringing their children to MIT Daycare. The law-breaking and rule-defying is explicitly intended as a challenge [to] the presence of Jews at MIT‚” the letter continued. The committee asked leadership that rules about protests‚ political speech‚ and civility be enforced and that those who break the laws or campus rules be “promptly brought to justice.” The committee also asked that an outside entity be allowed to come in and investigate the college’s response to the protests and that education on anti-Semitism be mandated for all staff of MIT. Kornbluth was one of the school officials who testified before Congress on Tuesday about the pro-Palestinian protests that have broken out across college campuses in the wake of Hamas terrorist attacks in October that left 1‚200 dead and thousands more wounded. During her opening statement before Congress‚ Kornbluth said that her administration was “actively” fighting against anti-Semitism. “As an American‚ as a Jew‚ and as a human being‚ I abhor anti-Semitism‚ and my administration is combatting it actively. Since October 7th‚ my campus communications have been crystal clear about the dangers of anti-Semitism and about the atrocity of the Hamas terror attack‚” she said. Protests on campus have previously included chants of “one solution‚ intifada revolution” and “from the river to the sea‚ Palestine will be free!” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “I strongly believe there’s a difference between what we can say to each other – that is‚ what we have a right to say – and what we should say‚ as members of one community‚” Kornbluth said. “Yet as president of MIT – in addition to my duties to keep the campus safe‚ and to maintain the functioning of this national asset – I must‚ at the same time‚ ensure that we protect speech and viewpoint diversity‚ for everyone‚ in keeping with the institute’s principles on freedom of expression.” In the letter‚ the MIT alumni said that they wanted to help MIT and were waiting for leadership to contact them. “We are angry and heartbroken at the state of affairs at our alma mater. But we are also committed to fixing MIT. We will go to any lengths to restore MIT to the culture that made it great and beloved by its Jewish alumni‚” they said. The Daily Wire reached out to MIT for comment.

John Kirby Wrecks Arab Reporter For Claiming Israel Is A ‘Terrorist State’

John Kirby‚ Strategic Communications Coordinator for the National Security Council‚ laid into an Arab reporter who suggested that Israel was a “terrorist state.” Kirby fielded questions during Wednesday’s White House briefing on the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas‚ and he responded to the reporter’s first question before he appeared to lose patience with the direction he took the line of inquiry. “So‚ do you then express that there’s no safe zones in the south and now‚ Israel is encouraging to move more to the south‚ so is it a collective punishment and are we going to see more civilians in the south? Are there no safe zones?” the reporter began. “We don’t want to see — we don’t want to see a single more civilian killed‚” Kirby replied. “We don’t want to see a single more civilian injured. We don’t want to see damage to civilian infrastructure like hospitals‚ and we have made that case and we’ll continue to make that case to our Israeli counterparts.” WATCH: Arab male reporter: But don’t you see nothing is changing on the ground? A CNN producer lost 9 members of his family today. Killing journalists — over 60 journalists died on the ground‚ even in south Lebanon. They were not a target. They were clearly journalists. What — what’s… pic.twitter.com/5d4VihkR0v — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) December 6‚ 2023 “But don’t you see nothing is changing on the ground?” the reporter protested. “What — what’s really happening? So‚ if we call Hamas a terrorist group‚ killing civilians as a non-state actor player‚ isn’t it also Israel acting like a terrorist state‚ killing humans — civilians‚ unarmed people‚ journalists — every day?” “So‚ again‚ we don’t want … civilian casualties‚” Kirby repeated‚ and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to step in and wrap things up — but Kirby wasn’t finished. “Sorry‚ just one more point. It’s okay. I don’t know if it’s going to answer your question‚” Kirby said. “Hamas — Hamas deliberately slaughtered and murdered some 1‚200 people on the seventh October and it seems like we’re all willing to forget that. Deliberately. It was their intent. And to take hostages. They actually — that was the purpose of the whole thing on the seventh.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Kirby went on to repeat what he had said earlier about the United States continuing to press Israeli forces to do whatever they could to avoid civilian casualties‚ but he was absolutely clear when he repeated the fact that Hamas terrorists were the ones who were putting civilians in harm’s way. “We don’t want to see any more civilians harmed on this‚ but they have a right and responsibility to defend themselves against that very genocidal threat and it is not the Israeli Defense Forces’ strategy to kill innocent people‚” Kirby explained. “It’s happening. I admit that. Each one’s a tragedy‚ but it’s not like the Israelis are sitting around every morning and saying‚ ‘Hey‚ how many more civilians can we kill today? Let’s go bomb a — let’s go bomb a school or a hospital or a residential building and just — and cause civilian casualties.'” “They’re not doing that. They’re trying to go after Hamas and it’s a very difficult when Hamas — oh‚ by the way‚ in addition to deliberately slaughtering people — is deliberately hiding themselves in residential buildings‚ in hospitals‚ in tunnels‚ making it — putting the innocent people of Gaza directly in the crossfire‚” Kirby said. “Now‚ you tell me: Is that right?” “Now‚ is that right to kill — let’s — let’s — please — sorry —” the reporter tried to redirect‚ but Kirby was finished:  “I think we gotta move on.” “Yeah. We’re going to — nope‚ we’re going to move on‚” Jean-Pierre agreed.

The ‘DINK’ Trend: Double Income‚ No Kids‚ And A Meaningless Life Of Consumption And Materialism

The ‘DINK’ Trend: Double Income‚ No Kids‚ And A Meaningless Life Of Consumption And Materialism

About a year ago‚ we first talked about the growing community of people who call themselves “DINKs.” Now “dink” may sound like some kind of racial slur‚ but it’s not. Well‚ I mean it was‚ technically. Some people used it as a pejorative term for the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War. It’s also a term familiar to my fellow bass fishermen‚ used to describe any game fish below 12 inches in length. But in this case‚ DINK does not refer to either Asians or small fish. DINK is an acronym that stands for “dual income‚ no kids.” These are the childless by choice folks. Those who get married‚ and could have kids‚ but choose instead to have a barren‚ sterile relationship focused entirely on their own superficial wants and desires.  The DINKs are getting a lot of attention these days. Especially over the past week. On Monday‚ Business Insider ran a piece titled: “Meet the typical DINK: They have over $200‚000 in the bank and aren’t paying for pricey childcare.” The article tells us:  It seems like everyone wants to be a DINK these days. DINKs — households that are double income with no kids — are seeing their ranks grow‚ especially as a high cost of living and the climate crisis weigh particularly on people with children. There are variations on the DINK (or the SINK — single income‚ no kids): You can be a DINKWAD‚ which means double income‚ no kids‚ with a dog. DINKWADS who previously spoke to Business Insider said that the lifestyle gives them financial stability‚ the capacity to travel‚ and the ability to dodge the ever-increasing costs of parenthood. And it’s a lifestyle that’s paying off‚ as DINKs emerge on top of a shaky economy. So who are the DINKs of America? Their ranks are set to grow‚ they’re making six figures‚ and they want to spend their money on their pets and traveling. Yes‚ dinkwad‚ if you have a dog. Or I guess dinkwac if you have a cat. Or dinkwap if you own a pony or a pig or a parrot‚ or if you’re a big Cardi B fan. There are many variations‚ but they all boil down to the fact that you have decided to not have kids.  WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show And as the article details‚ this is a rapidly growing group: Around 5% of the country’s total population was cohabiting couples who do not live with a child under 18‚ and around 29% of the total population are married couples who do not live with a child under 18‚ according to 2022 American Community Survey data. Among unmarried couples‚ that figure is slightly up from 2019.. when 4.4% of the population was cohabiting couples not living with a child under 18. The US Census Bureau also finds that the aging population is increasingly childfree — as of 2018‚ over one in seven women were childless by the time they were between the ages of 40 and 44. That’s higher than the one in 10 women who were in the same boat as of 1976… A Pew survey found that 44% of non-parents ages 18 to 49 said they were not likely or not at all likely to have kids someday — up from 37%. But what is the DINK existence really like?  Well‚ this week there has also been‚ for whatever reason‚ a sudden surge in TikTok videos promoting this lifestyle. Most of them follow the same format‚ which looks like this:  There are going to be a lot of “DINKs” in the future in their 50s to 80s that are going to be regretting this strategy. 🔊 pic.twitter.com/BZU2xNQrmZ — Wall Street Silver (@WallStreetSilv) December 5‚ 2023 Yes‚ well I’m a SISK — single income‚ six kids — and I can do you one better. I make no excuses to leave a party‚ because I don’t go to parties in the first place. But I guess that has more to do with being ASWK — anti social with kids. Which isn’t much different from being ASWOK — anti social without kids. In any case‚ you may notice that most of the things they’re bragging about — besides the ability to leave social gatherings when they want to‚ which I guess they imagine for some reason is something parents aren’t able to do? — but most of the things all revolve around their increased ability to buy stuff. And this is a theme that runs through basically all of the DINK propaganda. Watch: Yes‚ we’re dinks. We can buy things. We can consume. Look at all the consuming we do. We are such dedicated consumers. You dumb parents with your dumb children can’t possibly devote as much of your life to buying and eating‚ which is literally the only thing we care about in this world.  This is the message‚ over and over again. Another example: As you’re probably noticing‚ these people apparently have a weird preoccupation with Costco. They are making videos providing unsolicited lists of the things that make their lives fulfilling and somehow Costco makes the cut. Continuing:   Okay this Costco thing is really getting out of control. But let’s watch one more video:  Alright‚ enough with Costco. I like to buy cereal wholesale‚ too‚ but I’m not going to make it my whole identity. Let’s get a grip.  So what’s going on here? Let’s take a step back. First of all‚ are you really trying to take ownership of Costco as childless people? That’s like saying that a benefit of being childless is that you get to go the Rainforest Cafe. I mean these places exist for parents. That’s our domain. And for the record‚ I buy whatever snacks I want for myself‚ whenever I want them‚ whether from Costco or anywhere else. My children do not prevent me from indulging in that way. The only difference is that‚ if anyone asked me to provide a list of the things I love most about my life‚ I wouldn’t cite the fact that I can buy snacks for myself. Not because I can’t buy snacks‚ but because that’s a rather banal detail that I wouldn’t think worth mentioning.  And yet‚ for DINKs‚ snacks and Costco play‚ apparently‚ a central role in their lives. On their deathbeds‚ while they’re lying there alone with no one to mourn them or care that they’re dying‚ or remember them when they’re gone‚ if the hospice nurse asks them to pass along a final piece of wisdom‚ they will look up and with their final‚ dying breath‚ whisper: “Get a Costco membership. They have great deals on Cheez-Its.”  See‚ a person’s life has to revolve around something. It has to be dedicated to something. And even by their own testimony it’s clear that when people choose to be childless‚ their lives inevitably revolve around pure‚ self-centered‚ unadulterated‚ unencumbered‚ consumption. Of course it’s true that the same is case for many parents in the modern world. But at least if you ask the average parent — however they may actually live their lives — they will *say* that the thing that gives them purpose and joy is their relationship with their children and their spouses. They will talk about their families as the foundation of their lives. That shows‚ at the very least‚ that they are aspiring to something higher and greater than themselves — whether or not they actually live up to their own aspirations.  But the DINKs don’t even aspire to the transcendent. For them‚ there is no meaning in life except in their ability to sleep‚ and eat‚ and buy stuff. It is a deeply nihilistic way to live. This is what makes the rise of the DINKs so catastrophic.  That is‚ aside from the more immediate and obvious fact that this is a community which‚ if it reaches critical mass‚ would actually bring about the end of mankind. Which is a pretty good indication that you are making a bad lifestyle choice. If your lifestyle is one that‚ if adopted by a majority of humans‚ would spell the end of the human species‚ then that is a very powerful sign that there is something seriously wrong with your lifestyle. But aside from that — if it’s possible to put that detail aside — the rise of the childless by choice demographic is the rise of a group that has‚ in principle‚ given up on finding any meaning in life beyond the multiplication and satisfaction of desire — to use Dostoevsky’s phrase.  They are so dedicated to this calling‚ so intent on consumption‚ that they are willing to end their own blood lines to pursue it.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP Just consider‚ specifically‚ that overweight male Dink in the video who was especially excited about Costco. His ancestors fought and struggled and persevered and pioneered and bled and suffered all so that he could exist. He stands now at the end of a procession that stretches back into the ancient past. A line of people who made his very existence possible. Who migrated thousands of miles‚ fought wars‚ tamed the wilderness‚ built homes and civilizations‚ all for him. And he turns back to those people‚ to his ancestors‚ and he says “Yeah sorry guys‚ we’re done. I’m going to end the blood line here. I’d rather have some extra spending cash to buy Doritos.” The sheer hubris is astounding.  Though I realize that this man would be totally mystified by the notion that he has any responsibility at all to his family‚ his ancestry‚ his bloodline — much less to the God who created him. He has not thought about any of this. He has thought only about his own immediate happiness. But in pursuing happiness above all — happiness through luxury‚ through consumption — he will miss it. Because happiness comes from fulfillment‚ and fulfillment comes from doing that which you are made to do. It comes from finding your place in that ancient ancestral struggle. From taking part in it. Building the next generation‚ so that the fight can go on. It comes from fulfilling your purpose in life —from pursuing the transcendent‚ rather than the transactional. So the DINKs will grow in number‚ but they will also grow in misery. They will live superficial lives‚ and die anonymous deaths. And‚ if they have their way‚ they’ll take civilization down with them. But at least they’ll get to spend more time at Costco.

Mayorkas Confirms FBI Warning‚ Says Blinking Red Lights Everywhere On Terror Threats

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday echoed the stark warning floating around federal agencies that the United States faces a heightened level of terrorism threats amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. “We are definitely in a heightened threat environment‚ and we are proceeding with vigilance‚” Mayorkas told CNN. Mayorkas doubled down on comments made earlier this week by FBI Director Christopher Wray‚ who claimed the bureau has seen an elevated threat environment from foreign terrorist organizations for “a whole host of reasons.” “I’ve never seen a time where all the threats‚ or so many of the threats‚ are all elevated‚ all at exactly the same time‚” Wray told the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. “That’s what makes this environment that we’re in now so fraught.” He noted that such warnings include the vulnerability of the U.S.-Mexico border as authorities deal with a historic influx of illegal immigration crossings under the Biden administration. “There’s a lot of discussion about numbers — and numbers are important — but let’s not forget that it didn’t take a big number of people on 9/11 to kill 3‚000 people‚” Wray said. “So while numbers are important‚ numbers don’t tell the whole story. And we have seen an increase in so-called KSTs‚ Known or Suspected Terrorists‚ attempting to cross over the last five years.” Iran — “the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism” — has tried to carry out multiple assassinations on U.S. soil while launching cyberattacks against children’s hospitals around the nation over the last couple of years‚ according to Wray. He also pointed out China is a significant contributor to the fentanyl epidemic that has killed tens of thousands of Americans per year‚ and that Russia is conducting aggressive cyberattacks against the U.S. regularly. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP Wray said that he sees “blinking lights everywhere‚” a visual that Mayorkas said he witnessed himself. “We have seen episodes of violence in this country that speak tragically to that reality‚” Mayorkas said. “We are also doing something about it.” Mayorkas said the two federal law enforcement agencies have been working hand-in-hand to disseminate information to the private sector and the general public about mitigating threats. U.S. officials reportedly issued the security guidance measures to Jewish and Islamic communities as threats have increased since October 7 after Hamas terrorized the Jewish state of Israel. Recommendations reportedly include faith leaders “developing a security plan‚ putting an individual or a committee in charge of security‚ completing risk assessment‚ coordinating with local community and identifying available resources‚” according to Reuters. Mayorkas joined Attorney General Merrick Garland to speak with faith leaders about how they can guard against security threats. “We are meeting today at a time when the fear so many communities are facing is palpable‚” Garland said in opening remarks. Ryan Saavedra contributed to this report.

Jew-Hatred On Campus. Will America Tolerate It?

Jew-Hatred On Campus. Will America Tolerate It?

“Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate your code of conduct or rules regarding bullying and harassment?” This is the question that was asked of the presidents of the University of Pennsylvania‚ MIT and Harvard on Tuesday in Congress.. Not one president simply answered‚ “Yes.” High school seniors have a lot on their minds. Beyond the regular trials and tribulations of an American teenager‚ upperclassmen in high schools across America spend much of their time deciding which college they should attend. The options are vast. The American post-secondary education system is robust and options are aplenty. But for American Jewish high school students‚ the question they suddenly need to ask is whether they will be safe on the college campus of their choosing. Unfortunately‚ the answer at many of our nation’s top universities is unequivocally “No.” This is where we are as a society in America today. The data is as stark as the anecdotal evidence. Even before the outburst of overt and aggressive anti-Semitism on campuses that came after Hamas’ atrocious‚ inhumane terror attacks on Israeli civilians on October 7‚ Jewish college students were not feeling safe on college campuses across the country. The trouble was that before October 7 no one seemed to believe them. In the school year prior to the October 7 attacks‚ almost 75% of Jewish college students in American directly experienced anti-Semitism. Anti-Jewish hate crimes led the FBI’s statistics of hate crimes against a religious group by a large margin‚ even before this school year’s explosion of anti-Semitism. The anti-Semites in and around college campuses often yelled foul when being charged with being anti-Semites and instead often retorted that they were simply anti-Israel‚ anti-colonialism‚ or anti-Netanyahu. In desperate need of finding a cover for their Jew-hatred‚ college students and professors that engaged in obvious anti-Semitism grasped at proverbial straws to hide behind other supposed social justice issues of the day. Categorizing Israel and the Jewish people as part of the “oppressor class‚” they reasoned‚ allowed them to justify‚ defend‚ and even celebrate the mass rape and slaughter of over 1‚400 Israeli civilians on October 7. This asinine and dangerous position is expressed at rally after rally‚ in opinion pieces published in school papers‚ in lectures by professors‚ and on social media. This is the fallacious lens through which so many in academia have decided to view the world. Their faux-intellectualism and moral ineptitude has been exposed since October 7. Since then‚ professors and college students alike simply call for the end of the Jewish people and/or the Jewish state. They call for slitting the throats of Jews or for a global intifada. Students are harassed and assaulted while walking through campus. Universities‚ for the most part‚ allow this all to happen and advise the Jewish students that they should go in through the back door or hide in the library until it is over. Gone are the days of intellectual debates on college campuses‚ where viewpoints are expressed and debated. After years of telling professors and students alike that language can be violent‚ microaggressions are to be challenged‚ safe spaces must be created for marginalized groups‚ and equity offices must be established to protect all students‚ it turns out that none of those platitudes apply to the Jewish community. When it comes to Jews‚ students and professors seem to have carte blanche to call for their murder‚ celebrate their mass rape‚ and to harass and intimidate Jewish students across the country. Today‚ many college campuses are more reminiscent of the 1930s Germany‚ where the Nazis pushed their ideologies‚ than the American university system that educated so many for the past several decades. The American people heard three university presidents testifying before Congress about the rise of anti-Semitism on their campuses on Tuesday. The hearing was jaw-dropping. For the most part‚ these elite university presidents at UPenn‚ MIT and Harvard‚ refused to clearly condemn anti-Semitism and seemed almost smug in their responses about calls for genocide of Jewish students on campus. Hiding behind the First Amendment was a convenient‚ yet legally deficient space to bury their condoning of Jew-hatred. In short‚ you may have a constitutionally protected right to say something‚ but you don’t have a constitutional right to go to these universities. Moreover‚ there are limits to our constitutional rights. The Second Amendment provides Americans the right to carry a weapon‚ yet individuals aren’t permitted to carry a weapon on college campuses in almost half the states in our country. Similarly‚ the First Amendment has well established limitations‚ including incitement of violence‚ intimidation and harassment. These limitations are well-established at these universities; they would surely (and justly) expel‚ fire or discipline students or faculty calling for the mass murder of blacks‚ gays‚ or any other group of people. The university presidents‚ however‚ were not making legal arguments; they were simply looking for a place to hide their anti-Semitic policies. Rest assured that these three University presidents are not alone. American Jewish college students are being subjected to overt hatred‚ harassment and intimidation in many universities across our nation. The anti-Semitic conduct is coming not only from students‚ but from staff and faculty‚ all while being protected by their administrations. Of course‚ there are exceptions. Not every school is a hotbed for anti-Semitism in our nation‚ but that is the point. Jewish high school students today are forced to decide which college is right for them not on the basis of the best academic programs for them‚ but instead whether the university they want to attend will even be safe for them. Our tolerance for anti-Semitism in our nation’s institutions‚ including our universities‚ must be zero. University boards must hold their presidents and deans accountable. The temperature has risen to intolerable levels for Jews across our great nation‚ and no place is this more evident than in our nation’s top universities. Remember‚ the students of today are our political and social leaders of tomorrow. It is the responsibility of all Americans to make it clear — in no unequivocal terms — that anti-Semitism will no longer be accepted in our institutions. While ending the world’s oldest and most pervasive form of hatred — Jew-hatred — will not be achievable‚ insuring that our universities protect Jewish students and dispose of rabid antisemitic students‚ faculty and administrators is a good start. Gabriel Groisman is the former mayor of Bal Harbour‚ Florida.

Rich Eisen Blasts College Presidents Who Gave ‘Frightening’ Answers About Callling For Genocide Of Jews

Rich Eisen typically sticks to sports talk‚ but he said he had to speak out about top college presidents who he said gave “frightening” answers when asked if calling for the genocide of Jews was acceptable. During the “Rich Eisen Show” on Wednesday‚ the sports host slammed the “unacceptable responses” from university presidents of Harvard‚ Penn State and MIT who were asked in a congressional hearing if calling for “genocide” warrants a violation of their respective campus’ codes of conduct or rules regarding bullying and harassment. The school officials asserted it all depended on context‚ noting that the schools would take action if the speech became “conduct‚” as previously reported. Eisen said the answers from the school presidents not being able to say “unequivocally‚ yeah that violates it” and “equivocating with a bunch of word salad and nonsense” was frightening. “Oh so we have to have genocide before you kick someone off the campus?” the sports journalist said. “How about the context of being against genocide of all? By just allowing that speech makes people comfortable to commit the genocide. You understand that? By not being uniquivecal in saying ‘yes‚ this is a violation. And anybody who violates it is off campus. They can’t go to Harvard‚ Penn or MIT.'” Today‚ @richeisen took time out from our usual show fare to respond to the unacceptable responses from @penn @harvard @MIT presidents at a US House hearing about anti-semitism on campus. pic.twitter.com/YUwltJhy9W — Rich Eisen Show (@RichEisenShow) December 6‚ 2023 “By saying ‘well it depends on this‚ that and the other thing‚’ makes them comfortable to commit the genocide‚” he added. “It is the lesson you learn when you walk into museums of tolerance or Holocaust museums around the world. Including ones that I’ve been to recently in Berlin‚ Germany and Tel Aviv‚ Israel.” “It’s the first lesson you learn and I can’t believe you got to tell people who lead these instituions of higher learning that‚” Eisen continued. “I can not believe the answers I heard. It is frightening to see those answers from people in leadership and higher education. Are you kidding me? The answer is yes when you’re advocating against genocide against anybody that’s a violation of code of conduct and is a form of harassing and bullying. Forget the context.” Eisen said he has family members that went to those respective schools and before that hearing he would’ve been advocating for his three children to follow in their footsteps. But he said after seeing the “answers I saw and heard” from the school presidents — not a chance. “I never thought in a million years that I would never want to send my kids to these schools. Forget that‚” he added.

Wisconsin Governor Vetoes Bill That Would Have Banned Trans Surgeries On Children

Wisconsin Democratic Governor Tony Evers vetoed a bill on Wednesday that would have protected kids from irreversible transgender surgeries and hormone procedures. The bill‚ which passed the Republican-controlled state legislature‚ would have banned procedures like double mastectomies on girls who identify as boys‚ and giving children puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. Cross-sex hormones can impact bone development‚ fertility‚ and heart health. “While the governor’s veto of this legislation is certainly not surprising‚ it serves as a stark reminder of just how out of touch with reality Governor Evers is‚” Republican state Sen. Duey Stroebel said. “Protecting children from invasive and irreversible medical interventions is the right thing to do from both a scientific and ethical standpoint.” While Republicans hold a veto-proof majority in the Senate‚ they are two seats short in the state Assembly. In Kentucky‚ where the governor’s office is held by Democrat Governor Andy Beshear‚ Republicans were able to override Beshear’s veto to ban transgender procedures on children. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos decried Evers’ veto‚ saying that it was misguided. “Evers made another harmful mistake. Such a life-altering decision should be made when you’re an adult‚ not a child. Many countries‚ including Norway‚ Sweden‚ Finland‚ the United Kingdom‚ and the Netherlands‚ do not allow for gender transition surgery before the age of 18‚” he said in a post on X. Left-wing legal groups have sought to challenge the laws with various degrees of success. The ACLU‚ which lost a challenge to Tennessee’s law before the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals‚ has petitioned the Supreme Court to weigh in on the case. Evers‚ who was up for re-election in 2022‚ has blocked conservative-backed bills on voting‚ abortion‚ and gun rights.
