James Woods Sees the Fatal Error in a New Obama-Produced Film

If I had known the Obamas were behind the new Netflix film Leave the World Behind‚ I wouldn’t have watched it because I’m tired of their constant racializing. As it happens‚ I didn’t know and watched it. It was intriguing but disappointing at the same time. They missed yet another opportunity to make a difference […] The post James Woods Sees the Fatal Error in a New Obama-Produced Film appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Biden Becomes America’s Pinocchio-in-Chief

President Joe Biden’s economic performance is so indefensible that he has resorted to distorting his predecessor’s record‚ as if that will distract from the current economic malaise. It’s much like how Pinocchio‚ when caught doing wrong‚ lied about everyone around him to distract from his own failures and to blame others. But the average American is suffering financially so much that no amount of gaslighting can distract from his current plight‚ and the numbers prove it. Fully 60% of American families are living paycheck to paycheck‚ and a record number of people have had to take on a second or third job. That still isn’t enough to pay the bills‚ which is why there’s a record $1.1 trillion of credit card debt and a collapse of the savings rate to levels lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic. The combination of racking up debt while depleting assets caused household net wealth to fall $1 trillion last quarter. But the bigger story is the real (inflation-adjusted) numbers. Real household net wealth has now fallen below where it was when Biden took office as president. In fact‚ it’s at the lowest level since the third quarter of 2020. Real earnings tell a similar story about Americans’ finances under Biden‚ with real weekly earnings down about 5% since he took office. For the typical American family with two parents working‚ that’s the equivalent of losing over $5‚000 in annual income. This decline in real earnings is from inflation pushing prices up much faster than wages. Under Biden‚ annual inflation has outpaced earnings growth in 27 of the past 31 months. The average American worker now pays $4.97 per hour in the hidden tax of inflation‚ effectively doubling how much he or she pays in federal income tax. That inflation is a direct result of Bidenomics‚ an agenda best defined as government overspending and overregulating‚ combined with borrowing and printing trillions of dollars. The predictable result was devaluation of the dollar. The fastest inflation in 40 years resulted in a rapid rise in interest rates‚ which pushed up financing costs. Combined‚ these effects have pushed the cost of homeownership to record highs. The monthly mortgage payment on a median price home has risen by over $1‚000 under Biden‚ costing an American family an extra $13‚000 per year for the same house. This has driven homeownership affordability to new lows—by some metrics‚ it’s the lowest on record. With an entire generation of Americans unable to afford their own homes‚ they’ve turned en masse to renting‚ which has also pushed rents to record highs. These facts stand in stark contrast to the economic record of Biden’s predecessor‚ which he pejoratively calls “MAGA-nomics.” Regardless of the name assigned to it‚ the period before Biden took office was marked by widespread improvements in Americans’ financial well-being. Real wages and real net wealth rose‚ homeownership affordability improved‚ more people entered the labor force‚ and those working could increasingly live on one full-time job. Those are hallmarks of honest success‚ not a fictional tale of supposed prosperity. Instead of acknowledging reality and his own culpability‚ Biden purposely muddies the waters‚ throwing out undefined terms like “trickle-down economics” and misrepresenting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 as a “tax cut for the rich” even though IRS data show the benefits went disproportionately to the middle class. With each fib‚ the Biden White House loses credibility and its gaslighting becomes less effective‚ just as Pinocchio’s nose grew with each lie and it became blatantly obvious that his stories couldn’t be trusted. That’s why‚ despite overwhelmingly positive media coverage‚ Bidenomics is viewed with such disfavor today. You can tell people to ignore their lying eyes and empty wallets only for so long. EXCLUSIVE: ‘Laptop from Hell’ Reporters Detail How Big Tech Shielded Biden from Scandals

The New York Post journalists who uncovered the Biden bribery scandal that broke the internet amid the 2020 presidential election spoke candidly with MRC Vice President Dan Schneider about Big Tech censorship on the latest episode of MRC UnCensored. Schneider underscored the importance of what became known as the Hunter Biden laptop story as he characterized Breitbart Politics Editor Emma-Jo Morris (former New York Post editor) and prominent author and investigative journalist Miranda Devine as the new Woodward and Bernstein (the authors who exposed Watergate). During the interview‚ the two authors detailed how their work exposing then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s role in his family business dealings became subject to relentless censorship by Big Tech platforms. “It was a very sophisticated operation‚” Devine said‚ while Morris‚ addressing the widespread censorship‚ stated‚ “We never anticipated that.” On this episode of MRC UnCensored @Schneider_DC sits down with @EmmaJoNYC and @mirandadevine to talk how they wrote Hunter Biden's Laptop from Hell‚ online censorship‚ and more! pic.twitter.com/Q5Y3nsVeTY — MRCTV (@mrctv) December 8‚ 2023 “You can’t downplay… the fact that the fourth-largest newspaper by circulation and the oldest newspaper in the country was censured by these unaccountable tech platforms and they did it two weeks before an election‚” said Devine‚ whose book — Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden‚ Big Tech‚ and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide — further delved into the findings of the laptop. The ordeal began on Oct. 14‚ 2020‚ when Big Tech platforms — including Twitter (now X) and Facebook — blocked the spread of a NY Post bombshell report that exposed Joe Biden’s role in the shady business dealings of Hunter Biden. The findings‚ obtained through an abandoned laptop owned by Hunter Biden‚ directly contradicted Joe Biden’s year-long claim that he “never discussed” business dealings with his embattled son. “They put the policy they use for child porn on the New York Post’s reporting‚” remarked Morris in the interview‚ referring to Twitter’s decision to place “unsafe link” warnings on the Post’s account and the accounts of those who shared the story. Echoing Morris‚ Devine told Schneider that the story “has never been rebutted” and directly blamed the federal government for ordering the censorship of the laptop. “[The censorship] was done really at the behest of the CIA and the FBI‚” Devine said. “The Russia collusion narrative was added about five days after the first story that we published by these 51 former intelligence operatives‚ mostly from the CIA.” The infamous letter‚ blindly promoted by Politico‚ falsely labeled the explosive report as part of a Russian disinformation campaign. Strikingly‚ the letter was ordered by then-campaign surrogate Anthony Blinken. “We knew that letter was dishonest‚” Devine added‚ saying that the letter was drafted in a desperate bid to help the Biden campaign escape potentially damning questions of corruption. ACLU stands by decision to represent NRA for critical First Amendment case at Supreme Court

The American Civil Liberties Union is defending its commitment to represent the National Rifle Association in an upcoming Supreme Court case. What is the case?Last month‚ the Supreme Court agreed to decide whether Maria Vullo‚ the former superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services‚ violated the First Amendment by encouraging banks and insurance companies to reconsider whether they should conduct business with the NRA after the 2018 mass killing in Parkland‚ Florida. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled against the NRA last year‚ prompting the gun-rights organization to appeal to the Supreme Court. In its petition‚ the NRA argued that the appeals court decision gives "state officials free rein to financially blacklist their political opponents — from gun-rights groups to abortion-rights groups to environmentalist groups and beyond."Why is the ACLU defending the NRA?On Saturday‚ the ACLU announced that its lawyers would defend the NRA when the Supreme Court hears the case sometime next year."The government can’t blacklist an advocacy group because of its viewpoint‚" the ACLU said in a statement. "We don’t support the NRA's mission or its viewpoints on gun rights‚ and we don’t agree with their goals‚ strategies‚ or tactics. But we both know that government officials can't punish organizations because they disapprove of their views.""If the Supreme Court doesn't intervene‚ it will create a dangerous playbook for state regulatory agencies across the country to blacklist or punish any viewpoint-based organizations‚" the statement added. — (@) In an interview with the New York Times‚ ACLU national legal director David Cole explained why it is important for the ACLU to defend an organization it disagrees with."It's never easy to defend those with whom you disagree‚" he said. "But the ACLU has long stood for the proposition that we may disagree with what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it."Cole said the decision is "controversial" — both inside and outside the ACLU — but added that the easy path is rarely the right one."In this hyper-polarized environment‚ where few are willing to cross the aisle on anything‚ the fact that the ACLU is defending the NRA here only underscores the importance of the free speech principle at stake‚" Cole said.Like Blaze News? WATCH: ‘The View’ host just disgusted her colleagues by boldly defending university presidents’ anti-Semitic testimonies

On a recent episode of “The View‚” host Sunny Hostin said something so outrageous that Dave Rubin feels the need to warn his audience before playing the clip. “Warning: this next clip shows a certifiably crazy person‚” the screen reads before the segment begins. “What Elise Stefanik‚ the congresswoman‚ was talking about and what this entire hearing was about should have been about free speech‚” Hostin began‚ “and although many people may feel uncomfortable with it‚ the most hateful and heinous speech is the most protected speech.” “Campuses have not been good for free speech in years‚” responded Sara Haines‚ pointing out the blatantly obvious flaw in Hostin’s argument. “What you heard was [the university presidents] saying what is completely accurate under the law — it depends on the context‚ so if someone does yell at a crowd racial slurs or calls for genocide in a public place ... that is protected speech‚” Hostin continued‚ digging herself into a deeper hole. “One-on-one confrontation: if a white student‚ for example‚ says to a black student a racial slur then ... that is when that conduct leads to harassment and could be actionable by the university.” “If you have to commit genocide to be able to condemn genocidal language‚ like‚ that’s a dangerous slippery slope‚” criticized Alyssa Farah Griffin. Dave‚ who can’t believe he actually agrees with Griffin‚ says her response is “a Christmas miracle.” Griffin also wisely pointed out that the congressional hearing was over the schools’ codes of conduct‚ not the law. Hostin is “making the argument about the First Amendment‚” says Dave‚ which “has nothing to do with the school's code of conduct.” He’s also impressed with Haines’ comment that college campuses‚ especially elite ones like Harvard‚ haven’t been the least bit concerned with protecting freedom of speech in the last several years. “For years‚ we've all known they've been horrible on free speech‚” says Dave‚ but “they've flipped their whole narrative on free speech overnight so that they can go after Jews and by extension white people.”Want more from Dave Rubin? To enjoy more honest conversations‚ free speech‚ and big ideas with Dave Rubin‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.
