The overwhelming majority (85%; 92% in the West Bank and 75% in the Gaza Strip) said that they supported Hamas releasing the Israeli women and children that are being held hostage in exchange for Israel releasing Palestinian women and minors that are incarcerated inside Israel because they are convicted criminals or terrorists. The poll comes approximately one month after a poll was conducted by the Arab World for Research and Development that found similar results among the Palestinian population‚ including their near universal hatred for the United States and Israel.
