Pope Leo XIV Spotted Wearing The Most Unlikely Swag At The Vatican

For the first time in the history of the Catholic Church, the leader hails from the United States. Robert Francis Prevost was born in Chicago in 1955. The College of Cardinals elected him as the Holy Father, and he took the name Pope Leo XIV. Some Catholics never thought they’d see an American pope in their lifetime, but Leo is showing his Midwestern pride in Vatican City. A photographer recently captured the pontiff walking in the Vatican wearing his traditional white robe and a white hat. Well, a Chicago White Socks baseball cap, that is. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pubity (@pubity) American Catholics Loved Seeing Pope Leo Embracing His American Heritage Pubity shared the photo of Pope Leo in his White Sox Cap with a giant smile on his face. “His choice to wear the cap while in full papal attire added a layer of casual charm to his public image and instantly went viral,” an Instagram post reads. “Back in Chicago, the White Sox had already honored their most famous fan with a mural at Rate Field. Now, they’ll celebrate him further with a special event on Saturday, hosted by the Archdiocese of Chicago. The day will feature the premiere of a video message from Pope Leo XIV addressed to young people around the world.” Seeing Pope Leo in a White Sox cap came as a shock to some people. “Would never thought I’d see a pope in a baseball cap,” a follower shared. Others loved seeing the pope representing his heritage. “Not religious or a baseball fan but that’s still pretty cool even to me for some reason, someone wrote. This person agreed. “I’m not Catholic, but Pope Leo gives me hope.” “The yankee in me kinda loathes him. But the catholic in me thinks this is the best papacy since JP2. The guy is just unmistakably cool,” a Catholic joked. This story’s featured image is by Vatican Media via Vatican Pool/Getty Images. The Rogue’s New Gallery of Left-Wing Scoundrels

The entire career of race-baiter Al Sharpton was founded on falsehoods about the Tawana Brawley scam. Nearly everything the Left told us about the Trayvon Martin fight was false. The “hands up, don’t shoot” Ferguson fable and the Covington kids myth were quickly exposed. The Duke lacrosse and Jussie Smollett melodramas were laughable. Russian “collusion,” “laptop” disinformation, and Joe Biden “fit as a fiddle” gaslighting were utter lies. But more recently, the hard Left lost its mind championing a host of violent, unsavory characters. The illegal alien and El Salvadorian national, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was portrayed as a victim of unfair deportation in the Left’s larger, losing war for open borders. Abrego Garcia became a “Maryland Man”: a supposed poor victim of Trump overreach. He was constructed as a family man engaged in construction to feed his family, who somehow forgot to become “documented” and was deported. In truth, Garcia is now facing felony indictments for human trafficking. He was a likely MS-13 gang member, a violent and bullying woman-beater, and rarely employed gainfully in construction. Luigi Mangione was a rich, spoiled kid who dabbled in Jacobin politics. Posing as a revolutionary, Mangione ambushed Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare. He murdered him in cold blood near a New York hotel. Instantly, some on the Left embraced Mangione as a revolutionary hero who delivered justice to a supposedly greedy corporate capitalist. Mohammed Sabry Soliman, like Garcia, was a violent illegal alien. He bragged about his hatred of Jews in general and Israel in particular. So Soliman made some Molotov cocktails and tried to incinerate Jewish marchers advocating on behalf of Israeli hostages still held by Hamas. Soliman’s wife and five children, to whom Soliman filmed a video explaining his dedication to violent jihad, were also illegal aliens. Soliman may well have preferred to burn Jews to remind us of the fires of the Holocaust ovens. In the mind of the mainstream liberal media, the Soliman family was cruelly detained by the evil Donald Trump administration that was considering returning the illegal aliens to their Middle East homes. But recently, during the LA riots, the Left went completely crazy as the entire Democrat Party and California state officials sided with violent protesters and illegal aliens. The open border rioters soon got the message that left-wing California officials were on their side. So, throngs began burning cars. Illegal aliens waved Mexican flags and burned American flags. Protesters spat on law enforcement and pelted them with rocks, firecrackers, and concrete blocks. Stores were looted. Critical freeways were swarmed and shut down. And for what? To protest the legal efforts of U.S. Immigration of Customs Enforcement to serve deportation warrants to a few hundred of some 10 million-12 million illegal aliens who had illegally swarmed into the U.S. during the Joe Biden administration’s four-year destruction of immigration law. California Governor Gavin Newsom damned the federal immigration efforts as “chaotic” and “reckless” and seemed obsessed only with Trump. Then Newsom dared ICE to arrest him. Like some antebellum, neo-Confederate, states’ rights activist, Newsom threatened to withhold California’s federal income taxes from the federal government—a possible felony. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass—recently infamous for junketing in Ghana while Pacific Palisades burned down—warned ICE that, “We will not stand for this.” What did her threat mean? Did she intend to use force to support the street thugs against her fellow American officers? California Democrat Congresswoman Norma Torres screamed at overwhelmed ICE agents seeking to issue arrest warrants with the obscene threat, “Get the f*** out of LA!” As the mob violence increased and public outrage grew, a desperate and now embarrassed Newsom could only double down on his obsessions with Trump. What has caused Newsom’s Trump Derangement Syndrome? Is it because Trump called out the National Guard and Marines to aid an overwhelmed Los Angeles Police Department to stop the violence that left-wing officials and the media had appeased? In sum, is the Left once again trying to commit political suicide? Polls showed overwhelming public support for deporting those who illegally entered and reside in the U.S., especially the nearly half a million believed criminals. Trump’s own most supportive demographic in recent polls has been Hispanics. Like all Americans, they are appalled by violent thugs and illegal aliens waving Mexican flags who have no wish to return to Mexico while burning American flags as they demand illegally to stay in the U.S. The more the incoherent Left claimed the protests were “peaceful” and damned the Trump administration for sending them help, the more the violence continued. And the more the public was relieved that Trump was trying to stop the riots. Democrats currently lack sane and effective leaders. But that is no excuse to swoon over creepy gang-bangers, spoiled-brat assassins, antisemitic burners of Jews, and illegal aliens breaking the law and damning America—while waving Mexican flags. In Face of LA Chaos, Majority of Americans Still Approve of Trump Deportations

Despite Democrat efforts to condemn the Trump administration’s arrests of illegal immigrants, voter approval of deportation efforts continues to rise.   A recent poll from Napolitan News Service found that 56% of respondents either strongly or somewhat approve of the deportations of illegal immigrants throughout the U.S.  The country’s eyes remain glued to the Los Angeles riots. In the same poll, 79% of respondents reported that they were following the events either “very closely” or “somewhat closely.” Partisan attention differed slightly, with 82% of Democrats and 77% of Republicans reporting they were following the LA news.   President Donald Trump called up the National Guard to LA on June 8, after protesters angry at the arrests of illegal immigrants turned violent, setting cars on fire, looting stores, and overwhelming the LA Police Department. California Gov. Gavin Newsom raised an outcry over Trump’s actions, sparking heated debate between the two politicians.   The controversy appears to have had little effect on voter opinion, however. Just two days before Trump deployed the National Guard, his job approval rating hit over 50% for the first time in a poll conducted by Napolitan. An RMG Research poll two days after the National Guard was sent in found that 52% of respondents approved of Trump’s decision.   When questioned on the efforts to arrest and deport illegal immigrants, whether in LA or across the nation, respondents were positive. Fifty-five percent of respondents supported the LA deportations and 43% opposed them. Men remain more supportive of the nationwide deportation efforts than women (64% to 50%, respectively), following trends from earlier polls and reflecting a tendency for more men to hold Republican views.   As riots in the Californian city still rage, a federal judge declared Thursday that Trump’s decision to call in the National Guard was a violation of the U.S. Constitution, ordering that the president return control of the troops to the state by midday Friday. A few hours later, however, an order from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily paused the order until a hearing on Tuesday.  The Napolitan News Service poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted from June 11-12. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.   The post In Face of LA Chaos, Majority of Americans Still Approve of Trump Deportations  appeared first on The Daily Signal.

The Movement to Make Our Children Innocent Again

When you walk through the Library of Congress in Washington, one inscription reads, “the foundation of every state is the education of its youth,” quoting Diogenes. For the Greeks, Romans, and America’s Founding Fathers, education meant instilling virtue as well as information. Now, education is progressive indoctrination. Education of the youth is still the foundation of a state, so what happens when the moral foundation of education itself begins to shift decisively toward a political extreme? On Thursday, the House decided in a narrow 214-212 vote to pass Trump’s rescission package to cut taxpayer funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds NPR and PBS. These media conglomerates have a decidedly left-wing bias, having supported cultural Marxist themes, drag shows, and blatant relativism. Perhaps PBS is more strongly associated in the minds of some Americans with cultural classics for young people such as “Cat in the Hat,” “Sesame Street,” or “Martha Speaks.” True, PBS did have strong educational content in the early years, but by the turn of this century it took a turn for the woke. In 2022, PBS was forced to cancel the longest running animated children’s show in the network’s history, “Arthur,” after backlash over their 2019 episode featuring a homosexual wedding and a 2020 episode discussing George Floyd’s death. Previously, when “Arthur” had tried to promote LGBTQ+ narratives, the episodes were removed under pressure from President George W. Bush’s Department of Education. But since Bush departed office, producers shamelessly have aired leftist propagandized shows. And they’re funded by American taxpayers. In 2017, Bustle, the online women’s magazine with an audience of over 100 million monthly readers, said unashamedly that, “these progressive children’s shows prove that you don’t need to have an over 18 target audience to create work that challenges assumptions about gender, race, and politics … that’s the beauty of these shows … this is education via stealth.[emphasis added]” They said the quiet part out loud, which gives me the chills, and not in a good way. In line with this approach, Sesame Street ran an episode called “Family Day” with gay couple Dave and Frank in 2021, and in 2022, Elmo encouraged children to get the COVID shot, as part of PBS’s “the ABCs of the COVID Vaccine” learning initiative. Sesame Street hosted outspoken homosexuals in recent years, such as Ellen DeGeneres and rapper Lil Nas X. Even PBS’ bipartisan literacy initiatives launched during the Reagan administration are now focused on “racial literacy.” PBS’ movie “Real Boy” features a transgender teenager who struggles with sobriety. The perfect viewing for a Friday family movie night! Lest we forget, these programs are aimed at children, who should not be over racialized or sexualized if the goal is to educate, not indoctrinate. PBS isn’t the only aggravator. NPR’s programming over the past decade is rife with woke propaganda. A report issued by the White House lists their offenses. A 2015 segment featured the “population of anthropomorphic animal enthusiasts known as ‘furries.’” In 2022, NPR ran a story on what “Queer Ducks” can teach youth about sexuality. Later that same year, our great nation had the distinct privilege of learning about the ancient communities of genderqueer dinosaurs and trans-Ceratops. The NPR Valentine’s Day special in 2024 was on queer animals, because, well, how fitting. We learned about gay anteaters in the Smithsonian Zoo, hermaphroditic banana slugs, and nonbinary deer. But the cherry on top of this Valentine’s Day special is NPR’s final takeaway to have more sex with the people around you: As a social species, our survival relies on us being able to get along with one another. Same-sex sexual behaviors … is thought to be another way of strengthening these bonds and assuring that we can protect each other, take care of each other and help each other forage. So think about an animal like a bonobo. One of our closest relatives, a primate species—they have so much sex. It’s thought to be like, ‘Hey, instead of fighting over these resources, let’s just have sex with one another, feel good about it and share.’ And that’s really worked out for them. Feeling edified? Well, hopefully taxpayers across the political spectrum who value education won’t have to fund programs like this for much longer, as 214 House members concluded Thursday afternoon on the House floor: Federal funds do not belong in the pockets of woke media conglomerates. Education of youth is the foundation of a state, and elected officials are beginning to take that seriously. Iran Strikes Back at Israel With Large Missile Attack

Iran launched dozens of missiles at Israel on Friday, according to the Israel Defense Forces. Explosions were heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as sirens sounded across Israel.   More than 40 people in Israel were injured in the attack, a number of sources reported.   ??RAW FOOTAGE: Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles toward Israel in the past hours. The IDF cannot, and will not, allow Iran to attack our civilians. pic.twitter.com/IrDK05uErm— Israel Defense Forces (@IDF) June 13, 2025 The missile attack on Israel from Iran came less than 24 hours after Israel launched a major attack on Iran’s nuclear program, striking multiple nuclear sites. Fox News reported that the U.S. is helping Israel shoot down the incoming Iranian missiles.  American fighter jets are also reportedly patrolling in the Middle East to protect U.S. assets and personnel in the region. U.S. officials say there are “hundreds of thousands of American citizens and other American assets in Israel, and the U.S. is working to protect them,” Fox reported. There are currently two U.S. Navy destroyers in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to outlet.   While Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday night that the U.S. was not involved in Israel’s attack on Iran, President Donald Trump has confirmed that the U.S. was informed of Israel’s plans beforehand. Trump also met with members of his National Security Council on Friday.   Trump had given Iran 60 days to reach a nuclear deal with the U.S., and Thursday marked Iran’s deadline, but Trump said Friday that a deal is still possible.   “I couldn’t get them to a deal in 60 days. They were close. They should have done it. Maybe now it will happen,” Trump told Axios on Friday.   In a conversation with CNN’s Dana Bash, Trump expressed similar optimism that Israel’s strike on Iran might bring Iran to the negotiating table.   “The people I was dealing with are dead, the hard-liners,” Trump said, referring to the Iranian leaders who were not willing to agree to U.S. terms for a nuclear deal.   NEW: President Trump told CNN's Dana Bash that Iran's negotiators he was dealing with are all dead.It was previously reported that Iran & the U.S. were set to hold another round of negotiations on Sunday.Trump: "The people I was dealing with are dead, the hardliners."Bash:… pic.twitter.com/9czlkvsdSQ— Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) June 13, 2025 Israeli strikes are reported to have killed Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander in chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; Gen. Gholamali Rashid, the deputy commander of Iran’s armed forces; Brig. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, the chief of staff for Iran’s armed forces; and Ali Shamkhani, a top Iranian naval officer and former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. Fereydoun Abbasi and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, two nuclear scientists, have reportedly also been killed.     Trump repeatedly said in recent weeks that Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear weapon, and following reports of a deal that would allow for some uranium enrichment to continue in Iran, he said any deal with Iran would ban all enrichment. But Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said there would be no deal if Iran was not allowed to continue enrichment.  Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech Friday and spoke directly to the Iranian people, telling them “Israel’s fight is not against the Iranian people.”  “The Islamic regime, which has oppressed you for almost 50 years, threatens to destroy my country, the state of Israel,” Netanyahu said. “The objective of Israel’s military operation is to remove this threat—both the nuclear threat and the ballistic missile threat to Israel.”   “And as we achieve our objective,” the prime minister added, “we are also clearing the path for you to achieve your objective, which is freedom.”  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:To the proud people of Iran,We are in the midst of one of the greatest military operations in history, Operation Rising Lion. The Islamic regime, which has oppressed you for almost 50 years threatens to destroy our country, the State of Israel. pic.twitter.com/F67bxcDitL— Prime Minister of Israel (@IsraeliPM) June 13, 2025 On Friday afternoon, Israel confirmed it carried out strikes against Iran’s nuclear plant in the city of Isfahan after carrying out strikes against other nuclear sites, including on Natanz Nuclear Facility, Iran’s largest uranium-enrichment complex, and multiple military bases.    Sirens continued to sound across Israel late Friday night and into Saturday morning local time, according to the IDF.   The post Iran Strikes Back at Israel With Large Missile Attack appeared first on The Daily Signal.

How to Travel with Your Dog: Essential Tips and Tricks

At DogingtonPost, we know that traveling with your furry friend can be both exciting and challenging. Our comprehensive guide offers essential tips on traveling with a dog, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey for both you and your canine companion. From preparation and transportation choices to packing must-haves, we’ve got you covered. How to Prepare Your Dog for Travel Schedule a Pre-Travel Vet Visit A successful trip with your dog starts with a visit to the veterinarian. Book an appointment at least a month before your planned departure. Your vet will: Update vaccinations: Ensure your dog’s core vaccines are current. (Some destinations require specific vaccines, so research your travel location’s requirements.) Perform a health check: A thorough examination will confirm your dog’s fitness for travel. Prescribe medications: If your dog needs any medications, obtain enough to last the entire trip, plus extra for potential delays. Most airlines require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) issued within 10 days of travel for air travel or crossing state lines. Secure Proper Identification Proper identification is essential when traveling with your dog. Take these steps: Update ID tags: Attach a tag with your current contact information to your dog’s collar. Consider microchipping: If your dog lacks a microchip, now’s the time to get one. Only 15 percent of dogs without ID tags or microchips in shelters are reunited with their owners. Carry a recent photo: Keep a current photo of your dog on your phone for easy identification in case of separation. Introduce Travel Gear Gradually Familiarize your dog with travel equipment well before your trip: Car harness or crate: Allow your dog to wear or explore the car harness or crate at home first. Carrier for air travel: For flights, introduce the carrier weeks in advance. Create a positive association by placing treats or toys inside. Practice short trips: Take your dog on brief car rides to build positive associations with travel. Patience is key in this process. Some dogs may need more time to adjust to travel gear, so start early. With these preparation steps complete, you’ll create a solid foundation for a stress-free trip with your canine companion. Now, let’s explore how to choose the right mode of transportation for your journey. How to Choose Your Dog’s Travel Mode Car travel provides the most control over your dog’s comfort and safety. The safest way for your dog to travel in the car is in a crate that has been anchored to the vehicle using a seat belt or other secure means. For short trips, a dog seatbelt or harness suffices. Longer journeys require a crate for added security. Car Travel: The Most Flexible Option Purchase a crash-tested crate or harness for optimal safety. The Center for Pet Safety’s top-rated car harness is the Sleepypod Clickit Sport, while the Gunner Kennels G1 Intermediate leads in crate safety. Schedule stops every 2-3 hours for bathroom breaks and exercise. Never leave your dog alone in a parked car (temperatures can rise quickly, even on mild days). If you’re concerned about overheating, it’s crucial to know how to recognize and treat the signs. Air Travel: Thorough Planning Required Air travel demands extensive preparation. Each airline has specific pet policies, so research thoroughly. Most airlines allow small dogs (under 20 pounds) in the cabin for a fee. Larger dogs must travel in the cargo hold, which can cause stress and pose risks. For cargo travel, select a direct flight to minimize handling and potential weather exposure. However, you must weigh the risks carefully. Airlines require health certificates issued within 10 days of travel. Some destinations have additional requirements (Hawaii, for example, has a strict quarantine policy to prevent rabies spread). Train and Bus Travel: Limited Options Train and bus travel options for dogs remain limited in the United States. Amtrak allows dogs up to 20 pounds on trips under 7 hours for a fee. Only 5 pets are allowed per train, so book early. Most interstate bus services (including Greyhound) do not allow pets except for service animals. Some regional bus companies may have pet-friendly policies, so check local options. For both train and bus travel, your dog must stay in a carrier that fits under the seat or on your lap. This restricts this option to small breeds only. Your chosen mode of transportation should prioritize your dog’s comfort and safety. The next chapter will guide you through essential packing tips to ensure your furry friend has everything needed for a smooth journey. What to Pack for Your Dog’s Journey Traveling with pets has always been a tricky affair. They are not used to road trips in cars. Pack enough of your dog’s regular food for the entire trip (plus extra for unexpected delays). Stick to their usual diet to avoid digestive issues. Bring a collapsible bowl and bottled water. Medication and Health Supplies Pack your dog’s medications in their original containers with clear labels. Include a copy of prescriptions and your vet’s contact information. For long trips, ask your vet about motion sickness remedies. A canine first-aid kit should include gauze, adhesive tape, scissors, tweezers, and an antiseptic solution. Pack styptic powder to stop bleeding from minor cuts. Include any specific items your dog might need (such as ear cleaner or eye drops). Comfort Items and Toys Bring items that smell like home to help your dog feel secure. This could be their favorite blanket or toy. If your dog uses a crate, include their usual bedding. Pack a variety of toys for entertainment. Puzzle toys can keep your dog occupied during long car rides or flights. The Kong Classic is a versatile option that can be stuffed with treats. Cleaning and Grooming Supplies Don’t forget waste bags for cleaning up after your dog. Pack more than you think you’ll need. Some areas have strict rules about pet waste, so always be prepared. Include grooming supplies like a brush and pet wipes. These can be handy for quick clean-ups or to help your dog feel refreshed after a long day of travel. Travel Documents Carry your dog’s vaccination records and health certificates. Some destinations require specific documentation, so research your travel location’s requirements in advance. Final Thoughts Traveling with your dog requires thorough preparation and careful planning. You must start with a health check-up, secure proper identification, and familiarize your dog with travel gear well in advance. Choose the most suitable mode of transportation based on your dog’s size, temperament, and the trip’s duration. Research your destination’s pet policies, book pet-friendly accommodations, and prepare all necessary documentation. This proactive approach will help you avoid last-minute stress and potential roadblocks during your journey. Prioritize your dog’s comfort and safety to create lasting memories and strengthen your bond. For more valuable tips on traveling with a dog, visit DogingtonPost. Former IDF spox TELLS ALL about the Iran strikes

Last night, in a pre-emptive military operation dubbed Operation Rising Lion, Israeli defense forces struck Iran's nuclear and military sites, including a key uranium enrichment facility, killing senior military commanders and nuclear scientists.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Iran was dangerously close to developing a nuclear weapon, stating, “If not stopped, Iran could develop a nuclear weapon in a very short time — it could be a year, or even just months. This is a clear and present danger to Israel's survival.”The idea of a nuclear weapon in the hands of the Iranian regime is a terrifying notion. In the wake of Israel’s strike, many are wondering: Just how close was Iran to developing a nuclear bomb?To get insight, Glenn Beck invited former IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus to “The Glenn Beck Program.” “Iran has been dashing for the bomb for a long period of time,” says Conricus.Citing a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency, he adds, “Iran is not only enriching uranium to weapons-grade and has enough fissile material for at least 10 bombs, but that Iran is also in noncompliance when it comes to their obligations to allow international supervision of their sites.”The IAEA report, along with other currently classified intelligence, was the “tipping point” that set Operation Rising Lion in motion.“Iran has an open goal to annihilate the state of Israel. ... We know that they mean business, and we also know that if we allow them to develop the tools to do so, they might be tempted to use them, and that is what Israel has today started to unravel in terms of those Iranian capabilities,” Conricus told Glenn.Glenn brings up a recent Axios article claiming that two Israeli officials said President Trump and Netanyahu deceived Iran about the Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities. The article suggests Trump publicly opposed the strike but privately supported it to mislead Iran, ensuring key targets remained in place.“The president [said], 'You have 60 days to negotiate, and you don't want to see what happens on day 61.' I don't think that's deceptive to make plans to go in on day 61,” says Glenn.Conricus believes it “is deception” but in a “good way,” in that it allowed Israel to catch their enemy “unaware” and “unprepared.” President Trump, he says, has “been very straightforward telling the Iranians time and time again this is the best deal that you're going to get.”It was made perfectly clear to Iran that it “should relinquish all attempts to enrich material ... [and] allow full comprehensive inspection of all of [its] sites, nuclear as well as weapons development,” and yet the regime “didn't do it,” he explains.“We are today on day 61 of the presidential ultimatum, and this is what happens.”To hear more of the conversation, watch the clip above.Want more from Glenn Beck?To enjoy more of Glenn’s masterful storytelling, thought-provoking analysis, and uncanny ability to make sense of the chaos, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.
