The “Worst Way” singer took his twang all over the nation and left fans more confused than ever with his relationship status with Ella Langley each night after they duet their hit songs “You Look Like You Love Me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do.” However, that’s just a short portion of the incredible setlist that makes up the show. Many artists on the road for extended periods know that an extensive tour like this can be taxing, and most of the time, you are driving through the night to get to the next city, recovering, going to soundcheck, and then hitting the stage. And if you do get the rare day off, many artists want to spend the day in bed catching up on their favorite TV shows or enjoying spending it at home with their loved ones. However, Riley Green has a different activity that makes him feel grounded during those free moments. While co-hosting the Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, Riley Green shared that this tour has been different than others because he has more freedom to do what he pleases, not relying on the bus as his only mode of transportation. “I started bringing a jeep with me, so we can go to garage sales. I look for old fishing tackle, wooden lures, I collect stuff like that. I look for old guitars and old tools. If it’s interesting, I’ll pick it up.” I’m sure this activity removed Green from the limelight and made him feel like a “regular guy” again. In the same co-hosting event, Green also touched on how fame is not his favorite part of the music industry. “It’s not my favorite part of the industry. I miss being a regular guy. But it’s a small price to pay for the opportunities I’ve gotten.” Green has become a mega star in the country realm, and a luscious mustache makes you stand out in a crowd. While I am sure, as Green says, the opportunities outweigh the sacrifice, I can’t imagine not being able to go out and about like a “normal” person.
