Rep. Ilhan Omar Makes R-Rated Comment When Asked About Dems Visiting El Salvador

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar told Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Myles Morell to “f— off” when he asked about her party advocating for an alleged MS-13 member. Morell asked Omar if more Democrats should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate for the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 member deported by President Donald Trump’s administration. Omar, without answering the question, repeatedly told Morrell to “fuck off.” “Do you think more of your Democratic colleagues should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Abrego Garcia?” Morrell asked. “I think you should f— off,” Omar said. “I’m sorry, what, congresswoman?” Morrell asked. “You should f— off. You,” Omar said. WATCH: Four Democratic representatives, along with Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, traveled to El Salvador to show support for Garcia and protest against the Trump administration. Police records and court documents indicate that Garcia smuggled people into the U.S., had a good standing with MS-13, and physically abused his wife. In 2019, an immigration judge issued a deportation order for Garcia, who illegally entered the U.S. in 2011 from El Salvador, according to court documents. A judge gave Garcia a protected status known as “withholding of removal” in October 2019 after determining that he would likely be persecuted by gangs if deported back to El Salvador. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said that the protected status is no longer valid since Trump designated MS-13 and other criminal gang organizations as foreign domestic terrorist organizations. After administration officials acknowledged that Garcia’s deportation was a clerical error, the Supreme Court ordered the administration to “facilitate” the return of Garcia in an April 10 ruling. El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele said on April 14 that he will not “smuggle” Garcia back into the U.S. Trump told ABC News Tuesday that he “could” secure the return of Garcia from El Salvador. Minority Leader Jeffries Unclear on Path Forward for Democrat Comeback

House Democratic Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries has a plan to guide his party out of the political wilderness, but he appears not to want to go into too many details. At a Thursday press conference, Jeffries, D-N.Y., touted his resistance to President Donald Trump and his agenda, but would not expand on his plans to combat the Republican budget reconciliation plan.  He also repeatedly refused to give his opinion on impeachment articles against Trump filed by Democrats in his caucus. Asked point blank if Democrat leadership will have failed if they can’t thwart the Republican budget reconciliation bill, he said, “No.” “Our objective is to find four Republicans to do the right thing, to stop the largest cut to Medicaid in American history,” he said, echoing Democrat accusations that budget instructions to the House Energy and Commerce Committee would lead to Medicaid cuts. “That’s on them. They’re ones who claim they have some big, bold, beautiful mandate …. At the end of the day, if they successfully jam this reckless budget down the throats of the American people, the voters will hold them accountable.” Asked later by The Daily Signal how exactly he was working to find and pressure those unnamed four Republicans, he suggested the pressure would come from their constituents. .@RepJeffries spoke earlier about how Democrats just need to find a handful of Republicans to flip on budget reconciliation.I asked him how exactly he plans on pressuring them.@DailySignal pic.twitter.com/WOKPTkTCNV— George Caldwell (@GCaldwell_news) May 1, 2025 “Dozens of House Republicans are under pressure right now in the districts they represent, because the American people know that trying to take away their health care is an extreme act that they don’t support,” he said. But not all House Democrats are content to leave it to voters to castigate Republicans for the purported consequences of their policies. Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., for example, has filed seven articles of impeachment against Trump.  Asked at the press conference about whether or not he supports that, Jeffries ducked the question and said he hadn’t spoken to Thanedar about it. “You’ll have to talk to Shri about his perspective as to what he believes to be the right thing to do at this moment. And until I have a conversation with Shri, there’s really nothing further for me to add,” Jeffries said. But Thanedar is not the only Democrat in the House pushing for impeachment. On Thursday, Rep. Al Green, D-Texas—who was escorted out of Trump’s latest joint address to Congress in February after causing a scene—endorsed Thanedar’s articles of impeachment and previewed his own articles on the House floor. .@RepJeffries won’t tell me whether or not he’ll put his foot down on impeachment talk from @RepAlGreen and @ShriThanedar This was the second time he was asked about impeachment (this time about Green, not Thanedar) and he gives an almost identical answer.@DailySignal pic.twitter.com/ytFznsC9u7— George Caldwell (@GCaldwell_news) May 1, 2025 Asked by The Daily Signal ahead of Green’s speech whether he plans eventually to put his foot down and make a statement on the impeachment efforts, Jeffries’ answer was almost identical to his first response, refusing to entertain the question. “I spoke yesterday for about 25 minutes to the country about my vision for the future, a blueprint for a better America, and encapsulated what I believe has occurred for America over the first 100 days [of Trump’s second term]. I was also on the steps of the Capitol for 12-1/2 hours continuously talking to the American people … about what we believe to be important in the United States of America,” he said, adding: So, there’s a lot of footage out there of our views on what is occurring in America and all of that information actually really does speak for itself, ‘cause it’s how we feel. House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Pete Aguilar of California has publicly opposed impeachment articles on the grounds of the overwhelming likelihood of them failing, but Jeffries has not given a definitive answer on the matter. BREAKING: Mike Waltz to be UN Ambassador

President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Mike Waltz, is getting a new role Trump announced in a post on Truth Social that he was “pleased to announce that I will be nominating Mike Waltz to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations.” From his time in uniform on the battlefield, in Congress and, as my National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz has worked hard to put our Nation’s Interests first. I know he will do the same in his new role.” “In the interim, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will serve as National Security Advisor, while continuing his strong leadership at the State Department,” Trump added. “Together, we will continue to fight tirelessly to Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Waltz posted on X that he was “deeply honored to continue my service to President Trump and our great nation.” I’m deeply honored to continue my service to President Trump and our great nation. pic.twitter.com/FFTPjnIYkI— Mike Waltz (@MikeWaltz47) May 1, 2025 Politico first reported that Waltz and his deputy, Alex Wong, will be leaving their jobs at the National Security Council. Waltz is a former Florida congressman and a decorated Green Beret combat veteran. At the end of March, Jeffrey Goldberg, a longtime Trump critic, published a story saying national security adviser Waltz added him to a group chat on March 15 that included Vice President JD Vance, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and other officials. At the time, the president told NBC News’ Garrett Haake that he thought Goldberg’s story was essentially a nonissue, and that Goldberg’s presence on the chat had “no impact at all.” “Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he’s a good man,” Trump said. Trump previously announced Rep. Elise Stefanik as his nominee to be UN ambassador. In late March, Trump withdrew that nomination because Republicans in the House will likely need the New York congresswoman’s vote to help ensure passage of the budget reconciliation bill, a senior White House official told The Daily Signal at the time. This article has been updated to reflect Waltz’s nomination to be UN ambassador. The post BREAKING: Mike Waltz to be UN Ambassador appeared first on The Daily Signal.

'PBS Really Helps Little Kids': Tapper Tries To Shame GOP Rep. For Wanting To Defund

CNN’s host of The Lead, Jake Tapper, tried to shame GOP Rep. Brandon Gill on Wednesday for trying to defund PBS and NPR by claiming, “PBS really helps little kids,” citing himself learning how to read by watching Sesame Street as an example. However, Tapper’s days in school were not complete as Gill informed him that the real issue is PBS’s “left-wing propaganda,” whether that be in its newsrooms or on Tapper’s beloved children’s programming. Towards the end of their interview, Tapper wondered why Gill thinks PBS is such a big deal, “Speaker Johnson has said he would additionally like to cut funding for public broadcasting, PBS, which does receive some support from the federal government. I just -- it's interesting. I just have to say, on a personal level, I learned to read by watching Sesame Street and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and The Electric Company. That's literally how I learned to read as a kid. Why do you not think PBS is important?”     Gill answered the question in two ways. First, he stood up for the basic principle that the government should not be funding media outlets, “One of those that we found, which Republicans and conservatives have talked about for decades, is state-sponsored media in the United States. China and North Korea have state-sponsored media. The United States does not need state-sponsored media. Listen, if Fox News or any other conservative news organization came to me and asked for taxpayer money, I would tell them no.” Second, Gill brought the attention back to the actual news organization, “I certainly don't think we should be funding left-wing propaganda outlets, like NPR or PBS. I had a hearing just a couple weeks ago where I got to question the head of NPR and asked her about some of the wild, outrageous things that she had been posting on the internet for the whole world to see, and she had no answer for that. The American people are sick of funding institutions who promote values that they find repugnant, and that's what we're doing with NPR and PBS.” Tapper wasn’t convinced, “Okay. But Sesame Street, I mean, Daniel the Tiger, Wild Kratts, I mean, you have little kids, I know, and I'm sure you, you and your wife can bring them great educational programming. But a lot of kids might not have access to cable, and I didn't when I was little because cable didn't exist. But I mean, PBS really helps little kids. I mean, I'm talking specifically about kids learning how to read through Sesame Street in similar programming.” Of course, Tapper undermined his own argument by illustrating how the media has changed since he was a child, but Gill also informed him Sesame Street isn’t purely a PBS property anymore, “Well, they've already spun off Sesame Street to HBO [Max], so that's not with PBS anymore.” It should be said that in December, Max announced it would no longer be producing new episodes of the series following the conclusion of its current season, but the point is that Sesame Street could still get picked up by another private entity such as Apple TV+, Amazon, or Netflix. Currently, one can watch Sesame Street on Max for $10 per month nine months before it airs on PBS. Gill continued, “But what I don't think the government should be doing is funding these institutions that are radically left-wing and are oftentimes even in their cartoon shows, geared towards young children, promoting far-left ideologies that are not teaching children how to read but are teaching them the trans agenda and other things that large portions of our country do not agree with. Our tax dollars should not be funding institutions and ideologies that are promoting values that many people, including the people of Texas 26, that I represent, find repulsive.” Between the amount of money it makes from potential streaming partners, its presence at theme parks, and merchandise, Sesame Street will survive. The question for Tapper is why should half of America be forced to subsidize a media organization that acts like it is part of the opposition? Sign the petition to help us defund another CNN in PBS and NPR at defundpbsnpr.org. Here is a transcript for the April 30 show: CNN The Lead with Jake Tapper 4/30/2025 6:10 PM ET JAKE TAPPER: Speaker Johnson has said he would additionally like to cut funding for public broadcasting, PBS, which does receive some support from the federal government. I just -- it's interesting. I just have to say, on a personal level, I learned to read by watching Sesame Street and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and The Electric Company. That's literally how I learned to read as a kid. Why do you not think PBS is important? BRANDON GILL: Well, listen, we were -- I'm a member of the DOGE Subcommittee of Oversight. We were tasked with finding waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government and highlighting it. And one of those that we found, which Republicans and conservatives have talked about for decades, is state-sponsored media in the United States. China and North Korea have state-sponsored media. The United States does not need state-sponsored media. Listen, if Fox News or any other conservative news organization came to me and asked for taxpayer money, I would tell them no. And I certainly don't think we should be funding left-wing propaganda outlets, like NPR or PBS. I had a hearing just a couple weeks ago where I got to question the head of NPR and asked her about some of the wild, outrageous things that she had been posting on the internet for the whole world to see, and she had no answer for that. The American people are sick of funding institutions who promote values that they find repugnant, and that's what we're doing with NPR and PBS. And that's what we are hopefully soon, via a rescission bill, going to pull those funds back. TAPPER: Okay. I mean, I'm talking specifically about kids learning how to read through Sesame Street in similar programming. GILL: Well, they've already spun off Sesame Street to HBO, so that's not with PBS anymore. But what I don't think the government should be doing is funding these institutions that are radically left-wing and are oftentimes even in their cartoon shows, geared towards young children, promoting far-left ideologies that are not teaching children how to read but are teaching them the trans agenda and other things that large portions of our country do not agree with. Our tax dollars should not be funding institutions and ideologies that are promoting values that many people, including the people of Texas 26, that I represent, find repulsive. TAPPER: All right. Congressman Brandon Gill, thanks so much. Good to see you, sir.

ABC News Host Suggests Trump RIGGED 2024 Presidential Election

ABC News Host Suggests Trump RIGGED 2024 Presidential Election

Just over a year ago, in April 2024, ABC News’s The View announced that they had “stopped asking” President Trump to be on the show and said they had banned election deniers. But what if the moderator of the show was an election denier? During Thursday’s opening segment, Whoopi Goldberg suggested that Trump had rigged the 2024 presidential election. Bitter about Trump posting on social media bragging about investors predicting he would win the election, and trying to gaslight about the Biden economy, Goldberg scolded Trump and warned him to stop lest someone poke around and discover insider knowledge of his impending victory: I want to remind people that he took credit for Biden’s economy – BOOMING economy, claiming investors knew he was going to win. I think he should stop saying that because you’re going to make somebody investigate how investigators would know you were going to win. I'm just putting that out there. You know. What triggered Goldberg’s election denialism was a January 29, 2024 Truth Social from Trump where he bombastically declared in all caps: “THIS IS THE TRUMP STOCK MARKET BECAUSE MY POLL AGAINST BIDEN ARE SO GOOD THAT INVESTORS ARE PROJECTING THAT I WILL WIN…” Goldberg asked the rest of the cast how long the American people were going to put up with Trump as president since “the economy was great when he came in.” Joy Behar agreed by writing off average Americans upset at inflation by arguing that all the “every important person in the economy said” Bidenomics were great.     Further in the segment, Goldberg suggested that Trump “came in with a good [economy]” from Obama during his first term; sentiment shared by an irritated Sunny Hostin, who asserted that Trump had twice “inherited” good economies and tried to falsely give credit to Biden for the post-COVID bounce back: HOSTIN: I think that Whoopi’s point is very important. Trump inherited Obama's economy. So, let's never forget that! And then, he then inherited Biden's economy. And I know we're going to have the former president come and talk about his legacy, but I want to mention that his economic legacy historic wage gains, investment in job growth, marred by inflation, of course, but numbers don't lie. His economy was strong, Trump's tariffs killed it. The nation's GDP growth under Biden was impressive; rose at a solid 3.1 percent rate at the end of his term. BEHAR: Unemployment very low. HOSTIN: I was going to say, he was the president to oversee monthly job gains for the entirety of his presidency. “What good has [Trump] done to the economy?! What kind of businessman is that?! A bad one!” Hostin shouted. Seemingly denying the fact that Trump won the popular vote in 2024, Goldberg suggested that Trump’s economic policies were revenge on the American people. “I think he's angry at the country because I think he feels that Americans didn't support him, he feels our allies didn't support him, and now he's getting even,” she   “[T]here's no other reason to do what he’s doing. It doesn’t make sense to me,” Goldberg proclaimed. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View May 1, 2025 11:03:36 a.m. Eastern (…) WHOOPI GOLDBERG: I want to remind people that he took credit for Biden’s economy – BOOMING economy, claiming investors knew he was going to win. I think he should stop saying that because you’re going to make somebody investigate how investigators would know you were going to win. I'm just putting that out there. You know. Now, how long are people going to put up with this because, you know, the economy was great when he came in? SUNNY HOSTIN: Yeah. SARA HAINES: Yeah. JOY BEHAR: That's what every important person in the economy said, yeah. GOLDBERG: Everybody was saying, yes. So, I'm not sure. And I don't know why suddenly now he said we're going to have billions and billions and billions. You're going to get billions and now he's talking about no dolls on the shelf. I don't know what to do. (…) 11:06:13 a.m. Eastern BEHAR: Alyssa, wasn't that because he had people around who controlled him? GOLDBERG: And he came in with a good – He came in from Obama's economy. [Crosstalk] ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: He had sound economic policy and he had advisers who talked to him about the consequences about across-the-board tariffs. If you want to target some things in China, fine, but work with our European allies, work with our pacific allies. That's actually how you out China and strengthen America. BEHAR: Why doesn't he do that? [Applause] HOSTIN: I think that Whoopi’s point is very important. And the U.S. – And get this, Donald Trump is supposed to be a builder, right? He's the best builder ever. Well, the U.S. added 16.6 million jobs during Biden's presidency, more than any during any four-year term of any previous president. That is what Donald Trump got. What we got now, especially in his second quarter, stock market demolished, 401(K)s demolished, Department of Education demolished, DOGE demolishing things, federal government jobs gone. What good has he done to the economy?! What kind of businessman is that?! A bad one! [Applause] BEHAR: The way you describe it. Sounds like he wants -- he's like a nihilist, some body who wants to destroy everything.   GOLDBERG: I think he's angry at the country because I think he feels that Americans didn't support him, he feels our allies didn't support him and now he's getting even. That's how -- because there's no other reason to do what he’s doing. It doesn’t make sense to me. (…)

House Republicans repeal burdensome Biden-era EV mandates: 'A major win for sanity'

House Republicans overwhelmingly voted to repeal one of former President Joe Biden's electric vehicle mandates, while Democrats continue to dig their heels in. The resolution repealed California's electric vehicle mandate requiring the state to ban the sale of all gas-powered vehicles by 2035. The resolution ultimately passed the House in a 246-164 vote, with 35 Democrats joining 211 Republicans to repeal the EV mandate. In total, 164 Democrats voted to maintain the mandate. 'Democrat[s'] EV mandates are a slap in the face to rural America.'"The American people should have the freedom to choose their own cars and not be regulated by woke climate activists from the failed state of California," House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) told Blaze News. "By repealing the Biden administration's radical EV mandates, House Republicans are continuing our efforts to roll back regulations that rob consumer choice from everyday Americans."The mandate was ultimately struck down using the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to reverse regulations with a simple majority and presidential approval, avoiding the Senate filibuster's 60-vote threshold. The House also passed a similar resolution Wednesday night that overturned another California regulation mandating the sale of zero-emissions trucks in the state. The resolution similarly passed along party lines in a 216-195 vote, with 213 Republicans and just three Democrats voting to repeal the mandate. Overall, one Republican and 194 Democrats voted to keep the regulation. "The House of Representatives just passed the Resolution I sponsored to reverse California’s EV mandate for trucks," Republican Rep. Kevin Kiley of California said in a post on X. "In a major win for sanity, it passed with bipartisan support.""Democrat[s'] EV mandates are a slap in the face to rural America — pushed by urban elites who’ve never set foot on a farm," Republican Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois said in a post on X. "Let Americans drive what works. Keep woke climate activists away from our trucks!"Like Blaze News? Neil Young attacks Elon Musk in new song, says Tesla owners are fascists, praises China

Musician Neil Young debuted a new song in which he attacks Elon Musk, claims that Tesla buyers are fascists, and praises China. Young recently performed at the Light Up the Blues benefit concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles alongside Stephen Stills, Billy Idol, Cat Power, Rufus Wainwright, and Linda Perry. The annual charity concert raises funds for Autism Speaks.'If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla.'Young ranted about Musk, Tesla vehicles, and China in his latest song. "If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla / It’s electric, it doesn’t matter / If you’re a Democrat, taste your freedom / Get whatever you want, taste your freedom," Young is heard singing in video clips posted online. The singer-songwriter behind classic songs such as "Rockin’ in the Free World" and "Heart of Gold" urged American carmakers to challenge Tesla, which dominates the electric vehicle market. Young also praised China for being "way ahead" of the United States in making "clean cars." “Come on, Ford, come on, GM / Come on, Chrysler, let’s roll again," Young sang. “Build something special, that people need / Build us a safe way for us to live / Build us something that won’t kill our kids / Build us something that runs real clean / Come on, America, let’s get in the race / China’s way ahead, they’re making clean cars.”The politically charged song is titled "Let’s Roll Again," according to the Daily Beast.Liberals have been unhinged ever since Musk publicly supported Donald Trump in the 2024 election, and when the Tesla CEO was appointed as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.Tesla vehicles have been vandalized across the country, and Tesla dealerships have been violently attacked by militant leftists furious at Musk for his role in the DOGE cutting wasteful and fraudulent federal government spending. This isn't the first time that Young weaponized his music to make a political message. In 2020, Young sued Trump for using "Rockin’ in the Free World" during his first re-election campaign. However, Young dropped the lawsuit. As Blaze News reported in January 2022, Young demanded that Joe Rogan be terminated or censored by Spotify for "spreading fake information about vaccines." The ultimatum completely backfired, and Spotify retained Rogan and removed Young's music instead.Last month, Young — who has Canadian and U.S. citizenship — claimed that he could be barred from returning to the United States by the Trump administration. “When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket,” Young said, according to Variety. “That is happening all the time now. Countries have new advice for those returning to America. You can read about it at the Canada Desk. If I come back from Europe and am barred, can’t play my USA tour, all of the folks who bought tickets will not be able to come to a concert by me.”Like Blaze News? Elon Musk accuses Wall Street Journal of 'extremely bad breach of ethics' over report Tesla is searching to replace him

Billionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk excoriated the Wall Street Journal over an article that made allegedly false claims that Tesla was looking to replace him as CEO. The Journal claimed that the electric vehicle company had been searching for a new CEO and that the board told Musk he needed to spend more time at the company to reassure investors as well as the public. 'We stand by our reporting. Tesla was given the opportunity to provide a statement before publication.' On Wednesday, Musk vehemently denied the claims about his company. "It is an EXTREMELY BAD BREACH OF ETHICS that the @WSJ would publish a DELIBERATELY FALSE ARTICLE and fail to include an unequivocal denial beforehand by the Tesla board of directors!" wrote Musk on the X platform, which he also owns. He included a statement from Robyn Denholm, the chair of the board of directors at Tesla Motors, denying the report. "Earlier today, there was a media report erroneously claiming that the Tesla Board had contacted recruitment firms to initiate a CEO search at the company," read the statement. "This is absolutely false (and this was communicated to the media before the report was published)," she added. "The CEO of Tesla is Elon Musk and the Board is highly confident in his ability to continue executing on the exciting growth plan ahead." The Journal denied the claims of misreporting through a statement made by a spokesperson to CNN. "We stand by our reporting. Tesla was given the opportunity to provide a statement before publication, which they did not do," said the spokesperson. Tesla has been targeted by protests and demonstrations from leftists who want to damage his companies over his involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency for the Trump administration. Some of these protests have veered into violence that includes vandalism, gunshots, and arson. Musk has recently said that he would decrease his attention to the DOGE and attend to his companies, which have lost a massive amount of stock market value. Like Blaze News?
