Chinese Auto Industry, On Brink of Collapse, Gets a Truly Brutal Gut Punch

The Chinese auto industry could be headed for calamity after at least six cities across the country suspended trade-in subsidies for car purchasers, partly due to government funding running out. This action could slow new car sales and hinder a vital industry for the second-largest economy in the world, according...

WATCH NOW: Pentagon Hold First Press Briefing After U.S. Airstrikes On Iran

On Sunday morning, the Pentagon held its first press briefing after launching airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. In the press briefing, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine gave key details in the U.S. military’s attack against Iran. Hegseth and Caine noted that the surprise attack was named “Operation Midnight Hammer” and was American history’s largest B-2 operational strike. Dan Caine hold an on-camera press briefing at the Pentagon, June 22, 2025. https://t.co/QO17H1mmws — Department of Defense (@DeptofDefense) June 22, 2025 CBS News gave a full breakdown of the Press Briefing: Senior Pentagon officials revealed new details about the U.S. operation to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran, with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff saying it was the “largest B-2 operational strike in U.S. history” and inflicted “extremely severe damage and destruction” to the targets. “This was a highly classified mission with very few people in Washington knowing the timing or nature of this plan,” Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman, said in a briefing at the Pentagon Sunday morning detailing the strikes against the Iranian nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan. Caine said the mission, dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer, included seven B-2 Spirit bombers that flew east from their base in MIssouri to Iran. The 18-hour flight required multiple in-flight refuelings, and the bombers met up with U.S. fighter jets and support aircraft once over land in the Middle East in a “complex, tightly timed maneuver,” Caine said. At about 5 p.m. ET Saturday, just before the aircraft entered Iranian airspace, a U.S. submarine launched more than two dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles against targets at the site in Isfahan. As the aircraft approached their targets, the U.S. deployed “several deception tactics, including decoys,” and fighter jets cleared the airspace ahead of the bombers, checking for enemy aircraft and surface-to-air missiles. “We are currently unaware of any shots fired at the U.S. strike package on the way in,” Caine said. At about 6:40 p.m. ET, or 2:10 a.m. in Iran, the lead B-2 dropped two “bunker-buster” bombs known as the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators, or MOPs, on the site at Fordo. Over the next 25 minutes, Caine said, a total of 14 MOPs would be dropped on two target areas. The Tomahawk missiles landed at Isfahan after bombs were dropped on the two other sites. Caine said no shots were fired at the planes as they left Iranian airspace. “Iran’s fighters did not fly, and it appears that Iran’s surface-to-air missile systems did not see us. Throughout the mission, we retained the element of surprise,” Caine said. “More than 125 U.S. aircraft participated in this mission,” Caine said, including the B-2 bombers, fighter jets, refueling planes and surveillance aircraft. More than 75 precision-guided weapons were used in the attack. “Initial battle damage assessments indicate that all three sites sustained extremely severe damage and destruction,” Caine said, noting that a full assessment will take time. The chairman warned Iran against taking any retaliatory action for the strikes. “Our forces remain on high alert and are fully postured to respond to any Iranian retaliation or proxy attacks, which would be an incredibly poor choice,” Caine said. “We will defend ourselves.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the attack “an incredible and overwhelming success.” “The order we received from our commander in chief was focused, it was powerful, and it was clear,” Hegseth said at the briefing alongside Caine. “We devastated the Iranian nuclear program, but it’s worth noting that the operation did not target Iranian troops or the Iranian people.” He added: “The operation President Trump planned was bold, and it was brilliant, showing the world that American deterrence is back. When this president speaks, the world should listen.” “Our B-2s went in and out … and back without the world knowing at all,” Hegseth said. “In that way it was historic. A strike that included the longest B-2 Spirit bomber mission since 2001, and the first operational employment of the MOP, a Massive Ordnance Penetrator.” When it comes to Iran possibly retaliating, Hegseth warned that it would be a bad idea for Iran to do so: SEC. HEGSETH: “Iran is certainly calculating the reality that planes flew from the middle of America in Missouri overnight, completely undetected, over three of their most HIGHLY SENSITIVE sites. And we were able to destroy nuclear capabilities and our boys in those bombers… pic.twitter.com/FRMGofTz1G — Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) June 22, 2025

CONFIRMED: U.S. Military Used Strategic “Fakeout” With B-2 Bombers Just Hours Before Attacking Iran

The more you look into the United States’ attack on Iran, the more you can see President Trump’s strategic military thinking. On Saturday, a new report by Fox News revealed that the B-2 bombers that were reported heading to Guam before the attack on Iranian nuclear sites were used as a “distraction.” Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin reported that while the entire world and Iran were looking at Guam towards the West, the B-2 stealth bombers used in the attack flew from the East. Fox News broke the strategic move down: JUST IN: Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin says the B-2 bombers heading to Guam were a distraction to keep all eyes “looking west.” “It’s notable how much deception was involved in this operation. All eyes were looking west towards Guam…” “The 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs were dropped at Fordo. And as we have reported, there are two entrances to Fordo.” “At least two bombs at each, two entrances, which suggests at least two B-2s were involved over Fordow. My suspicion is that there were more.” Hegseth during the Pentagon’s briefing on Sunday morning noted the U.S. military used misdirection during the attack: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Notes The U.S. Used “Misdirection” In Its Attack Against Iran. Dan Caine, confirmed the fakeout and shared that the the B-2s that left the US and headed West over yesterday toward Guam were decoys. Horowitz (@michaelh992) June 22, 2025 Watch Caine here: Dan “Razin” Caine : operation midnight hammer pic.twitter.com/kvl6ywURwL — Karli Bonne’ (@KarluskaP) June 22, 2025 The New York Post had more details to report on the “fakeout”: President Trump caught the world off-guard Saturday by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites — after his apparently strategic deception indicating that such strikes weren’t imminent and trickery with the deployment of US Air Force B-2 bombers. Trump said Thursday he would make a decision in the “next two weeks” to allow more time for negotiations, giving the sense of reprieve amid fevered speculation he might join Israel’s airstrikes. “Based on the fact that there’s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,” Trump said in a statement just two days before the unprecedented US attack. The timing was stunning in part because six B-2 stealth bombers capable of carrying 30,000-pound “bunker buster” bombs had been tracked leaving Missouri early Saturday — and were likely incapable of reaching Iran until late Sunday, according to published flight times. The B-2 is believed to be the main type of plane capable of delivering 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs capable of obliterating underground facilities. Israel lacked the planes needed to drop the heavy bombs and since last Thursday had been dropping less-powerful 2,000-pound bombs. Trump announced the attack shortly after returning to the White House from his golf resort in Bedminster, NJ — a trip in which he suspiciously took no reporter questions. Here was how the media was reprting on the B-2 bombers before the attack: Multiple B-2 stealth bombers are headed to Guam, sources tell @ABC. At this point, the aircraft have no orders beyond that. Those planes could carry the 30K pound bunker busting bombs to target Iran’s nuclear facility. But this doesn’t mean Trump has decided to use them pic.twitter.com/XePF7LI40b — Selina Wang (@selinawangtv) June 21, 2025

Fetterman Applauds President Trump For Making ‘Correct Move’ With Iran Bombing

It’s hard to believe Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) are in the same political party. On one hand, the far left New York congresswoman jumped straight to impeachment threats after President Donald Trump announced his measured military approach in Iran: Obama launched 563 drone strikes on Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia without a single declaration of war. You didn’t have a problem with it. You didn’t impeach biden for his Middle East unconstitutional bombings either. Who thinks AOC needs to STFU a d sit this one out? pic.twitter.com/tdp9PsZbuj — Mrs Denosko (@Denosko1) June 22, 2025 On the other hand, Fetterman once again reached across the aisle when he realized the Republican president had a better idea that leaders in his own party. As The Hill reported: “As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS,” Fetterman wrote in a post on X that linked to a statement from Trump announcing the decision. “Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities,” Fetterman continued. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world.” Fetterman since Hamas launched an attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023 has been a vocal supporter of Israel, and has at times criticized his own party over the Middle East. His remarks in the immediate aftermath of the bombing campaign, as a result, are unsurprising. But they stood apart from other Democrats who criticized Trump’s decision as unconstitutional. While reports of the targeted bombings drew some backlash from across the political spectrum, Fetterman isn’t the only one taking the time to determine precisely what Trump is doing and why. President Trump didn’t bomb Iran…he targeted nuclear facilities within Iran. There’s a big difference. Let’s be accurate with our words. His actions weren’t aimed at the Iranian people, but at the Islamic regime and its pursuit of nuclear weapons. Please share this post! — American Citizen (@realtalkstruth) June 22, 2025 Then there were those who pointed out the left’s selective outrage on the topic of executive military action: To all of the Democrats saying that Trump didn’t get Congressional approval before bombing Iran: I’ll just leave this here. pic.twitter.com/WD7Bygs7vS — AmericanPapaBear (@AmericaPapaBear) June 22, 2025 But the Democratic response, by and large, has unsurprisingly focused on portraying Trump’s actions in the most negative light possible: I learned about Trump’s unconstitutional attack on Iran at a large rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Here is the response: pic.twitter.com/eziVpp3Y54 — Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) June 22, 2025 President Trump sending U.S. troops to bomb Iran without the consent of Congress is a blatant violation of our Constitution. pic.twitter.com/pqzAeS4K19 — Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (@RepRashida) June 22, 2025 As for the issue of congressional knowledge ahead of the attack, the Associated Press reported: House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Senate Majority Leader John Thune both were briefed ahead of the strikes on Saturday, according to people familiar with the situation and granted anonymity to discuss it. Thune said Saturday evening that “as we take action tonight to ensure a nuclear weapon remains out of reach for Iran, I stand with President Trump and pray for the American troops and personnel in harm’s way.” Johnson said in a statement that the military operations “should serve as a clear reminder to our adversaries and allies that President Trump means what he says.” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford, R-Ark., said he had also been in touch with the White House and “I am grateful to the U.S. servicemembers who carried out these precise and successful strikes.” Here’s a full clip of the president’s remarks after the military strike: President Trump’s full address to the nation from The White House following the U.S. military strikes Iran. pic.twitter.com/6ghmPfXvmI — America (@america) June 22, 2025
