Former Meta Exec Claims Tradwife Ideal Is ‘Detrimental,’ Says Women Must Be ‘Realistic’

Former Meta executive Sheryl Sandberg said the popularity of the “tradwife” lifestyle could be “detrimental to women, and further asserts that these “very, very, very, sexist” gender roles need to be revised. Sandberg claimed that the rise of the tradwife trend has caused more harm than good. “The message that is going out is that in order to be a good wife or a good mother, you need to do it full time,” the former Meta exec told People. “And the truth is that that is a decision almost no women can afford to make.” “If you look at the percentages of women who need to work outside of the home to support their families, it’s the great majority of women,” Sandeberg went on. “And so these messages that ‘this is how you have a successful marriage, that this is how you have six children,’ I think, are very detrimental to women.” The 56-year-old tech exec is best known for serving as Meta’s chief operating officer from 2008 to 2022. She is also the founder of LeanIn.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to “offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals.” She went on to clarify, “I don’t think they are meant that way … there are so many messages that tell women what their place is that limit their ambition…and this is potentially, inadvertently, one of them.” “If you have the resources and you want to be a tradwife, that’s great,” Sandberg told the outlet. “That’s for you to decide.” She went on to repeat the popular leftist talking point that traditional gender roles were the real villain of the story.  “We need to be realistic and we need to not use new ideas to reinforce what are old, outdated and very, very, very sexist notions of what roles are,” Sandberg said, adding that she thinks terms like “tradwife” make women who choose to work feel guilty. “Let’s be clear: You are not harming your marriage and you are not harming your children by working and by being ambitious,” she insisted. One of the most infamous examples of the tradwife trend going viral online is social media influencer Hannah Neeleman, better known by her social handle and business name, Ballerina Farm. She just made headlines again for announcing she was pregnant with her ninth child. Neeleman has received criticism from the Left for being “a hammer blow for feminism,” but she’s also earned a decent number of critics on the conservative side. They argue that because her husband’s family is very wealthy, she’s not exemplifying the sacrificial life of a stay-at-home mother.

FBI Alert Warns Iran May Eye Drone Attack On American Soil

The FBI recently warned California authorities that Iran was potentially plotting “a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles” targeting the West Coast in retaliation for a U.S. strike on the Iranian regime. The FBI alert was first reported by ABC News on Wednesday. The alert, which was communicated to California law enforcement, said the FBI first became aware of the potential Iranian threat in early February. “We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State[s] Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” the FBI said, according to ABC News. “We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack.” The FBI declined to comment when asked about the reported alert. The Daily Wire also reached out to the White House and the Department of Homeland Security for comment. California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office told The Daily Wire, “This bulletin is one of numerous security updates the state receives from federal partners daily and disseminates to local law enforcement and emergency responders.” Newsom said in a video message that he was “aware” of the alert from the FBI, adding, “Drone issues have always been top of mind. We’ve assembled work groups specifically around those concerns. That’s all I will share at the moment.” After President Donald Trump authorized “Operation Epic Fury” on February 28, Iran retaliated with missile strikes targeting U.S. bases throughout the Middle East. At least seven U.S. troops have been killed in the Iranian strikes, and around 140 more were wounded. The Trump administration has also been on high alert for domestic terror attacks in the United States as the war in Iran continues. When asked by The Daily Wire earlier this month about potential terror threats, War Secretary Pete Hegseth said, “We’re ready for that. We’ve seen these types of folks before. And the American people can rest assured that we’re vigilant on that.” Three people were killed and over a dozen more were wounded when a man wearing a shirt depicting an Iranian flag opened fire at a bar in Austin, Texas, just hours after Trump announced that the United States was conducting strikes in Iran. The shooting has not been linked to Iranian-backed terrorism as authorities continue to investigate. The shooter, Ndiaga Diagne — a Senegalese immigrant — also wore a sweatshirt that was emblazoned with the phrase, “Property of Allah.”

John Krasinski Put a Hilarious Spin on 90s Throwback Trend—And Dwight Schrute Won’t Get it

If you didn’t fall just a little bit in love with John Krasinski during his The Office days, were you even around in the early 2000s? Jim Halpert and Pam Beasley had the kind of love story that girls dream of. He wasn’t going to give up, and in the end, got the girl. Of course, there was a lot more to The Office than just the Pam and Jim storyline that kept viewers returning week after week. The show ran for nine seasons, full of jokes, smiles, and a few tears. In season 9, Jim and Pam decided to prank Dwight Schrute, the resident wet blanket, with “Asian Jim” played by Randall Park. If you haven’t seen it, it’s hilarious. The episode lent itself to John Krasinski owning the 1900s throwback trend on TikTok. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Did You Catch This? (@didyoucatchthistv) John Krasinski’s Tribute to the 1990s is Iconic The trend of using Goo Goo Doll’s “Iris” in the background shows a star today, and the text asks what they were like in the 1990s. John Krasinski jumped on the viral 1990s trend, but instead of showing his own photos from the days of flannels and windbreakers, he did something even more incredible. John Kraskinski shared photos of Randall Park. You know, Asian Jim. Fans of The Office went positively berserk. “The longest running joke I’ve ever seen,” someone wrote. “I woke up on the right side of my algorithm today lol,” another person shared. Fans crowned John Krasinski the undisputed champion of the 1990s throwback trend. “This bit is 15 years old and I still love it,” a fan wrote. “And this reel wins the Internet today. Game set match Scott….game over,” someone declared. This story’s featured image is by JC Olivera/2026GG/Penske Media via Getty Image.

Will Virginia Democrats Disenfranchise American Voters?

The year is just getting started, but the 2026 Virginia legislative session has already been nothing short of mind-boggling. Democrats are shamelessly moving a bevy of far-left fantasy bills through the Legislature. HB 1245 provides taxpayer funding for transgender surgeries, HB 256 mandates “environmental justice” planning, SB 22 forces racial bias training on nurses, and HB 111 bans cleaning voter rolls. But among all the strange and terrible bills this session, one stands out as especially dangerous: the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Legislation to add Virginia to the bizarre NPV scheme will soon go to Gov. Abigail Spanberger. Despite many pleas from Virginia residents, Democrats in the Legislature forced SB 322 and HB 965 through. These bills would join the Commonwealth to an agreement among states that could force Virginia to give all its electoral votes to a candidate who loses there but wins in other states. It’s an attempt to manipulate the Electoral College and usurp Virginia voters. The NPV compact has a trigger, taking effect only if passed by states that control a majority of electoral votes. Virginia would become the 18th state to join, giving the compact 223 electoral votes— not far short of the 270 it needs. Should a few more states pass NPV legislation, only the Supreme Court could save the country from a presidential election debacle. How did we get to a point where states would join a compact to give their electoral votes to the national popular vote winner? While the Electoral College may seem controversial today, that wasn’t the case during the Constitutional Convention of 1787. The framers debated for months about how to elect the president, and the final product was accepted as a great compromise—one that gives voice to every state. Even opponents of the Constitution mostly agreed it was a fitting system for our nation of states. High population states get more votes, but every state has a real voice. The Electoral College reduces the threats of tyranny for both the majority and the minority. It does so by granting more electoral votes to larger states without allowing them to dominate and by forcing candidates to build broad coalitions to win, thus preventing regionalism. Alexander Hamilton summed up the value of the Electoral College perfectly in Federalist 68 when he said, “I venture somewhat further and hesitate not to affirm that if the manner of it be not perfect, it is at least excellent.” And he was right. The Electoral College, much like America itself, isn’t perfect. But no system or country made by humans can ever be. Just as America is the greatest country on earth despite its flaws, the same can be said about the Electoral College. While it may not be a perfect system, it is the perfect system for our country. America is celebrating her 250th Anniversary this Independence Day, an amazing milestone, but we should all remember that the Electoral College has been instrumental to the success of our nation across those many generations. It’s unlikely that America would have survived 250 years without the Electoral College, and I have no doubt that she cannot survive another 250 without it.  We publish a variety of perspectives. Trump Says He’s Not Worried About Iranian Attacks on US Soil

WASHINGTON, March 11 (Reuters)—President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he was not worried about Iran-backed attacks on U.S. soil, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation warned of Iranian drones potentially striking the U.S. West Coast, ABC News reported. The U.S. and Israel carried out strikes on Iran nearly two weeks ago, launching the Gulf region into a war. Tehran has carried out retaliatory strikes in response to the U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed top Iranian officials, including the country’s supreme leader. When asked on Wednesday if he was worried that Iran may increase its retaliation to include strikes on U.S. soil, Trump told reporters, “No, I’m not.” ABC News later reported that the FBI had warned police departments in California that Iran could retaliate for U.S. attacks by launching drones at the West Coast. “We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” the FBI wrote in an alert distributed at the end of February, according to ABC News. “We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack.” Spokespeople for the FBI, the Los Angeles Police Department, the California governor, and the Los Angeles mayor did not immediately respond to requests for comments. Reuters reported earlier this month that Iran and its proxies could target the U.S. with attacks in response to U.S. strikes. A threat assessment produced by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security said Iran and its proxies “probably” pose a threat of targeted attacks on the United States, although a large-scale physical attack was unlikely. ‘MOCKERY OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT’: Cities Church Attorney Slams Catholic University for Honoring Don Lemon

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—An attorney for Cities Church, the St. Paul, Minn., church that faced an anti-ICE invasion in January, condemned a private Catholic university for hosting former CNN anchor Don Lemon, who stands accused of interfering with the First Amendment rights of churchgoers, as a headliner for its “First Amendment Week” celebration. “Don Lemon has made a mockery of the First Amendment,” Renee Carlson, general counsel at True North Legal, which represents Cities Church, told The Daily Signal in a statement Wednesday. “Calling him a hero for violating others’ constitutionally protected freedom of worship is a farce.” “It’s like giving ‘Lia’ Thomas a women’s athlete of the year award,” Carlson quipped. The Los Angeles Loyolan, a student newspaper at Loyola Marymount University, announced Tuesday that it will host Lemon and independent journalist Georgia Fort—who also faces charges in the church invasion—at two “headliner” events for its annual celebration of the First Amendment. Lemon and Fort face charges for depriving worshippers of their First Amendment rights by disrupting and blocking access to a church service. The Loyolan claimed that the arrests of Lemon and Fort “sparked a national outcry about threats to the free press.” The paper characterized their roles in the Jan. 18 invasion of Cities Church in St. Paul as “covering a protest in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during which demonstrators entered a church to protest its pastor, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.” Tom McClusky, government relations liaison at CatholicVote, told The Daily Signal that the Catholic school should be ashamed to invite Lemon. “Don Lemon’s hatred of Catholic doctrine is well documented, which alone should stop any college calling itself Catholic from having him come speak,” McClusky said. “However, it is Don Lemon’s disregard for the First Amendment that makes his invite so egregious.” “The First Amendment not only protects freedom of speech, but also freedom of religion, a part Mr. Lemon seems to forget,” he added. “Don Lemon, and by extension Loyola University, believe that your rights end where his begin.” ‘Hatred of Catholic Doctrine’ As for “hatred of Catholic doctrine,” McClusky highlighted Lemon’s response to a 2021 Vatican document forbidding Catholic priests from blessing same-sex unions. Lemon said that the Catholic Church “and many other churches” need “to reexamine themselves and their teachings because that is not what God is about.” “God is not about hindering people or even judging people,” Lemon added. The former CNN anchor has been in a relationship with another man, Tim Malone, since 2016, and LGBTQ activist groups like the Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD have hosted the couple. McClusky also highlighted Lemon’s statement in 2020 that “Jesus Christ… admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this earth.” This directly contradicted Catholic—and orthodox Christian—doctrine that Jesus, the Son of God, was and remains sinless (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26). ?WHY LEMON WAS CHARGEDCan we please stop lying around here? Here's the grand jury indictment laying out why Don Lemon was charged. At the pre-op briefing Chauntyll Louisa Allen briefed Lemon and the other conspirators about where and what they were doing. On camera, Nekima… pic.twitter.com/gHuN6Q4ZM9— Tyler O'Neil (@Tyler2ONeil) January 31, 2026 The Church Invasion A federal grand jury indicted 39 people, including Lemon and Fort, on two charges: violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, which also protects access to churches; and violating the Ku Klux Klan Act, which criminalizes efforts to deprive Americans of their fundamental rights—in this case, the right to the free exercise of religion. According to the indictment, between 20 and 40 agitators, who claimed to be opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement because one of the church’s pastors worked for ICE, refused to leave when asked and shouted, “Who shut this down? We shut this down!” The indictment also mentions that agitators screamed at crying children, blocked parents from getting to their children in Sunday School, and that one agitator told a child his parents were Nazis and going to hell. The indictment states that Lemon strategized with the group’s leaders Nekima Levy Armstrong and Chauntyll Louisa Allen before the invasion, and notes that Lemon said the group planned to “disrupt business as usual” at the church. Lemon appeared to hide the target location on his livestream before the disruption. ?HORRIFYING NEW DETAILSThe invasion of Cities Church was even worse than we thought. Agitators blocked stairs so "parents were unable to get to their children" at Sunday School.?One told a kid, "Do you know your parents are Nazis, they're going to burn in hell?"?1/7 pic.twitter.com/DUNPRdECGa— Tyler O'Neil (@Tyler2ONeil) January 25, 2026 Once inside, Lemon allegedly confronted Cities Church Pastor Jonathan Parnell, while other agitators—including Fort—blocked the pastor in, and asked him questions to further the agitators’ narrative. When people finally exited the church, Lemon observed that they were “frightened,” “scared,” and “crying.” He said that was understandable because the experience was “traumatic and uncomfortable,” which he added was the purpose of the incident. Fort allegedly stood in front of a minivan, preventing it from leaving, while interviewing Armstrong after the disruption. Pastor Parnell said that Lemon was “in on the terror” of the church invasion. “I told him, plainly, that we had gathered to worship Jesus and that he should leave. He did not leave. He was in on the terror,” the pastor wrote in an op-ed on the incident. Lemon and Fort have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Neither The Los Angeles Loyolan nor Loyola Marymount University responded to The Daily Signal’s request for comment by publication time. Lemon did not respond to a request for comment. Noncitizens, Dead People by Tens of Thousands on Voter Rolls. But Can Anything be Done?

The Justice Department is finding thousands of noncitizens and dead people on voter rolls as it pursues more state election records, said Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights, in an interview.  “We’re finding tens of thousands of noncitizens on the voter rolls, hundreds of thousands of dead people on the voter rolls, and duplicate registrations between states,” Dhillon said on “Just the News, No Noise.” Dhillon based her claim on a review of only 16 Republican-leaning states, such as Florida and Texas, that voluntarily complied with the Justice Department’s request for the election records.   The administration is suing 29 states for the records, seeking to ensure that states are complying with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and the Help America Vote Act of 2002. Those laws require states to update their voter registration lists and ensure they are free of names of dead people, or people who no longer reside in jurisdictions where they are registered to vote.  This comes in light of several prosecutions of noncitizens for illegal voting. This week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI announced the arrest of Mahady Sacko, an illegal alien from Mauritania, for voter fraud in Philadelphia. ICE asserted he had been illegally voting in the United States since 2008.  Sacko entered the U.S. near Miami, and an immigration judge ordered him removed. Sacko exhausted all appeals, and the Board of Immigration Appeals upheld his removal on November 14, 2002—over two decades ago. In December, Joe Ceballos resigned as mayor of Coldwater, Kansas after being arrested for voting multiple times, though he was not a citizen. The Department of Homeland Security announced removal proceedings but Ceballos, a legal permanent resident from Mexico, voted in multiple elections, according to the agency, and faced state charges. The lawsuits contend the Justice Department has the authority to request and review election records under the Civil Rights Act of 1960. The DOJ has sued both red and blue states. Most recently, the Justice Department sued Utah, Oklahoma, Kentucky, West Virginia, and the Democrat-leaning New Jersey.  The Justice Department has also sued major Democrat-leaning states, such as California and New York, for voter rolls, as well as battleground states such as Arizona and Georgia.  “It’s really frustrating that we’re being prevented from doing our job,” Dhillon said.  The Justice Department could have a tough road ahead, noted J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, an election integrity group that has sued states for information on “dirty voter rolls.” Adams is a former lawyer in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “It’s decades-old news,” Adams told The Daily Signal of dead voters and noncitizens on voter lists. “Good luck doing anything about it.” He noted that in cases by the foundation, both the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled states can’t be compelled to clean up voter rolls if they are already making an effort. The Supreme Court declined to hear the cases. “It’s one thing to get data, it’s another thing to enforce cleaning up the rolls,” Adams said. A Justice Department spokesperson did not respond to The Daily Signal by publication time to provide more details about the number of ineligible voters found on the voter lists so far.  The post Noncitizens, Dead People by Tens of Thousands on Voter Rolls.
