Family Welcomes Miracle Quadruplets Months After Learning They Likely Wouldn’t Survive

Megan Black and her husband, Erich, wanted to expand their family but had a hard time doing so. After multiple miscarriages, Megan became pregnant via interuternie insemination, according to People.  Following the exciting news of a positive pregnancy test, an ultrasound revealed something totally unexpected. Meghan Black was pregnant with quadruplets. “We didn’t think it could be possible. Trying to have just one baby was hard enough… How could there be four?” Megan recalled. The couple’s doctor stayed honest and frank from the beginning. Carrying quadruplets is incredibly risky, and there was a 40% chance that not all of the babies would survive. The family had to be extra cautious. Meghan Black Moved into the hospital months before Welcoming her Quadruplets Meghan Black moved into Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati 70 days before giving birth to her quadruplets. She had expert care every step of the way. On February 6, 2025, Meghan and Ercih Black welcomed Elly, Edyn, Dani, and Lucy. All four of their girls are thriving along with their big sister, Emyrson. Megan told People Erich wanted a big family. His parents adopted him as a child, and he hoped to have biological children of his own someday. He got his wish in a big way. “Now our home is full of five rainbow babies in total — and we couldn’t be luckier,” Megan Black said of her quadruplets. The couple’s friends set up a GoFundMe to help offset the cost of bringing home four new babies. They’ve raised more. Than $25,000 thus far. “Every bit of support, whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing our story, means more to us than words can express. We are humbled beyond measure and deeply thankful for the love and encouragement from our family, friends, and community. Your kindness truly makes a difference and reminds us that we’re not alone on this journey,” the couple shared on the fundraiser. This story’s featured image can be found here.

Gold Medal Winning USA Hockey Player is Going to Be a Dad

Fresh off the ice with a gold medal around his neck, Olympian Matthew Tkachuk appeared on Hangout with Sean Hannity and shared some huge news. Matthew and his wife, Ellie, are going to be parents, People reported. The pair married in 2025 and can’t wait to welcome their first little one. Matthew told Sean that he and Ellie can’t wait for the baby to be here, but they are keeping the sex a surprise until the birth. “We’re going old-school approach, which I wasn’t too fond of early, I will say, because it’s right there. All we have to do is look,” Matthew told Sean. Matthew Tkachuck isn’t Shy About Hoping for a Baby Boy One Day Matthew Tkachuk, who plays for the Florida Panthers, is the son of NHL legend Keith Tkachuk. And his brother, Brady, plays for the Ottawa Senators. Hockey is big for the Tkachuk men, and he’d love to see that tradition continue. “Yes, I mean, at some point, would definitely have to have a boy,” Matthew said. He added that Ellie only has a sister, no brothers, and doesn’t understand the youth hockey world as he does. “And I think I’m more excited for youth hockey one day than my current hockey right now,” he said. Matthew Tkcuck can’t wait to be the hockey dad who helps his own kids get into the sport just like his dad did. “Like, honest to God, like, I can’t wait for the road trips. I can’t wait for, like the family to come. I can’t wait for the parents to be in the hotel lobby bar at night, talking about the day and like, oh, just the little things,” he adds. Congratulations to the Tkachuck family. May their hockey dynasty continue. This story’s featured image is by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images.

Nicole Kidman is Feeling ‘Grateful’ Months After Divorce From Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban spent two decades together and shared daughters Sunday and Faith. When they announced their divorce in fall 2025, the news came as a bit of a surprise to some. While those close to the couple reportedly expected them to go their separate ways. They finalized their divorce in early 2026. They’ve both stayed busy with their careers and have not been very chatty about their relationship. IN a new interview with Vanity Fair, Nicole Kidman finally breaks her silence on the divorce news. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nicole Kidman (@nicolekidman) Nicole Kidman Doesn’t Want Her Divorce to Run Her Life She told Vanity Fair that her focus remains on her girls and enjoying her time with them. I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good. What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as they are, and moving forward. That’s that. Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be,” she said. “My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.” Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce came not long after the death of her beloved mother. Nicole also opened up about seeing signs from her mom and knowing that she is still with her and supporting her through these very tough days. “Ladybugs! I said that to my daughter the other day. We saw one, and I said, Grandmama’s here!’ My daughter looked at me like I was crazy and said, ‘No, Mom. That’s a ladybug.’ I said, ‘Absolutely not. It’s your grandmother,” she recalled.  Whether it’s true or not, it’s soothing. I’ll accept that.” Nicole Kidman seems happy, and we love her take on keeping her personal life personal. That’s how it should be. This story’s featured image can be found here

Dire Straits for Midterms? Gas Price Surge Troubles Senators

Amid uncertainty in a vital global shipping lane brought on by the conflict with Iran, gas pump prices are way up. Some in Congress think that could be a problem for their constituents and for Republicans’ chances in the midterms. “Naturally, we’re all really concerned,” Sen. Jim Justice, R-W.Va., told The Daily Signal of the gas prices.  Nevertheless, Justice framed it as part of the cost of taking on Iran. “We know we’ve got a big-time threat with Iran,” Justice said. “What are we going to do, just say ‘it’s okay, you go on and do what you’re going to do?’ We can’t do that.” “It creates a pressure, but gas prices were a lot higher under Biden,” Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told The Daily Signal, adding, “This is at least [high] gas prices caused by a worthy goal.” Uncertainty Gas prices have surged as Iran has attacked oil tankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz, located between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. According to the International Energy Agency, “around 25% of the world’s seaborne oil trade” passes through the strait. As of Thursday, the average price per gallon of gas at the pump is $3.59 in the United States, per AAA. One month ago, the average price was $2.94. The highest recorded average price of regular unleaded gasoline was over five dollars in June 2022. In response, President Donald Trump is tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, an underground emergency stockpile. "Every day, enormous progress is made," says @SecretaryWright on Operation Epic Fury."We're destroying their ability to threaten the United States troops in the region… and ultimately, to threaten energy markets." pic.twitter.com/IGZwj2hsGT— Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) March 12, 2026 White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told The Daily Signal in a statement that Trump “will not allow the terrorist Iranian regime to threaten the American people or disrupt the global economy by stopping the free flow of energy.” She added, “President Trump has been clear that these are short-term disruptions and that Americans will see oil and gas prices drop rapidly again once the necessary objectives of Operation Epic Fury have been achieved and the regime’s capabilities are neutralized.” Midterms The gas prices have provoked some grumbling from Capitol Hill Republicans, especially ahead of midterm elections in which both sides are claiming to offer an “affordable” future for voters. “High oil prices will be a problem,” Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said of the midterms in a recent Fox News interview. “If you add in high gas prices, high oil prices … if there’s still kinetic action that causes oil to be over a hundred dollars [per barrel], I think you’re going to see a disastrous election.” Rogers told The Daily Signal of the midterms, “President Trump is the unequivocal leader of the Republican party, and he is committed to maintaining Republicans’ majority in Congress to continue delivering wins for the American people.” Should Congress Intervene? Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., who believes the United States military should “wrap up” soon in Iran, thinks Congress ought to intervene on behalf of consumers. “I’m concerned about gas prices. Of course, you know, the Congress, we could do something about that,” he told The Daily Signal.  “We can suspend the gas tax, which is like 20 cents a gallon. That would account for a large portion of the increase over the last week.”  Democrat Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut have a bill to institute a federal gas tax holiday, suspending the 18.4 cent per gallon tax until October. “Families across Arizona are dealing with high costs on almost everything, and now gas prices are skyrocketing because Donald Trump started a war with Iran,” Kelly said in a statement in support of bill.  “Arizona families shouldn’t pay the price for Donald Trump’s bad decisions. Suspending the federal gas tax would help bring prices down.”  Rand Paul: "The 2026 elections, already we are behind the 8 ball. If you add in high gas prices, high oil prices, and if we're still bombing Iran with kinetic action — people don't want to call it war — I think you're gonna see a disastrous election." pic.twitter.com/lILcS0TUaa— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) March 10, 2026 Johnson expressed openness to the idea but similarly indicated it would not be a silver bullet to undo the gas price hike. “I wouldn’t be opposed to that,” he told The Daily Signal. “It’s not going to do a whole lot, because state taxes are a lot more onerous than federal taxes. I mean, check with California.” Justice was similarly skeptical a gas tax holiday would be of much help. “That’s like kissing your sister. I mean, that’s not going to really help, and that’s not going to really do anything in life,” he told The Daily Signal. “That’s a Band-Aid for cancer.” Justice did not rule out supporting such a measure, but said if “the straits get blocked, we’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg as for what’s going to happen. This could go really high.” Voters “are really hurting,” Justice added. “We should always be really compassionate.” “If we don’t hear them, [it’s a] mistake. We’ve got a midterm to consider. It’s right at our doorstep here.” The post Dire Straits for Midterms? Gas Price Surge Troubles Senators appeared first on The Daily Signal.

CNN’s Abby Phillip Apologizes On-Air After Tweet-Correction Prompts Even More Criticism

After her Wednesday morning tweet correcting her misreporting on Saturday’s terror attack made matters worse, CNN NewsNight Anchor Abby Phillip delivering an on-air admission of her false narrative. On Tuesday – well after the facts of the incident had been documented – Phillip went on-air and falsely claimed that the failed bomb attack had targeted New York City’s Socialist mayor, Zohran Mamdani. Her outlandishly false claim prompted harsh condemnation and correction, especially on social media. In response, Phillip posted a correction on social media, drawing even more criticism for being nuanced, half-hearted and, especially, for not being on her television program (where she made the false claim). As NewsBusters Jorge Bonilla reported: “One common theme in these reactions is the call for an on-air correction to match the one issued on social media, in the interest of proportionality and fairness. There are those who will question whether the correction is authentic, or a pre-Paramount act of pre-emptive hygiene. Nonetheless, we welcome the correction and call on Phillip to follow up with one on the air.” By Wednesday evening, the backlash had become so severe that Phillip acquiesced to calls for an on-air correction on her television program – a rarity for today’s biased, agenda-driven legacy media. In it, Phillip set the record straight and took “full responsibility” for her false claim: “This morning I issued a correction, first thing in the morning, on X for mistakes that I made in last night's show, but I also wanted to do so on-air as well. I incorrectly said that the bombs that were thrown by ISIS-inspired suspects in New York over the weekend were directed at Mayor Mamdani. They were not. “I failed to catch and correct that mistake in real time, and I take full responsibility for that. And while we do make mistakes, it is important to acknowledge and correct those errors when they happen.” CNN has been forced to issue multiple corrections on the attack since Monday for repeatedly misrepresenting the terrorist act on social media, television and its website. WATCH: @abbydphillip issues an on-air correction, complementary of the one published this morning on X, for stating the Gracie Mansion bombers targeted Mayor Mandani. We seldom see on-air corrections for on-air botches but here it is. The right thing. On A-block. ABBY PHILLIP:… pic.twitter.com/u4Cxurrv5g — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) March 12, 2026
