60 “Critically Missing” Children in the Hands of Traffickers Are Rescued

A massive effort by 20 agencies and 100 people involved saved 60 children who were exploited by the scum of the earth traffickers. This is great news, but it took 20 agencies and 100 people to capture eight scumbags. At that rate, we’re only touching the surface. With open borders, I can only imagine how […] The post 60 “Critically Missing” Children in the Hands of Traffickers Are Rescued appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Comrade Mamdani: Meet NYC’s Mayoral Candidate Who Hates Cops And Capitalism

With the Democratic primary in the New York City Mayoral election only a day away, the competition for who will likely be in charge of the largest city in the country is reaching a boiling point. The two front runners are Andrew Cuomo, former New York state Governor who resigned in disgrace after multiple scandals, and Zohran Mamdani, a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America who seems ready to burn the city to the ground to become king of the ashes. Andrew Cuomo was a horrific governor of New York State. He pushed radical, far-Left agendas on a variety of issues, from gun control to abortion to climate change. He raised taxes, demonized and prosecuted his political opponents. He also oversaw a mass exodus from the state. And yet, he is the best chance New York Democrats have of avoiding complete ruin. Zohran Mamdani, on the other hand, is the epitome of an ignorant, spoiled millennial who appears to have read the Wikipedia entry on Karl Marx and never looked back. If he were white, he would assert his identity with a half dozen facial piercings and by dying his hair blue. Born in Uganda to Indian parents, Mamdani is a silver-spoon socialist who hates capitalism, hates the West, and is pushing policies that will destroy New York City and the surrounding areas. Mamdani’s policy platform on his campaign website reads like a 6th grader running for class president who promises free pizza for lunch and unlimited recess for all. He wants to freeze rent and build affordable housing, which is a mutually exclusive proposition. If landlords cannot make money on their properties, then investment in new properties dries up. If new properties, like Class 2 apartment buildings, dry up, then a significant portion of tax revenue to the city disappears, leaving no money for the city to invest in “affordable” housing. Rent control has failed everywhere it’s been tried because people don’t leave their apartments. The prices on all other apartments then skyrocket to make up for the shortfalls as a result.  Mamdani wants to build a “Department of Community Safety,” which is socialist lingo for defunding the police. He wants to pull money from the police budget and give it to social workers who will be ill-equipped to deal with the myriad problems. So the issues that arise from this are two-fold. First, you have fewer police officers. The policemen who are left will then need to use more aggressive tactics to ensure order, leading to more confrontations with the community, leading to more unrest and crime. Second, New Yorkers are then left with unqualified, unarmed civilians dealing with severe issues in the worst parts of the city. When they find themselves in over their heads — and they will — they will slow their work down to focus on the few cases they can handle and ignore the rest, leaving mentally unstable people on the streets for the general public to worry about. Andrew Lichtenstein/Corbis via Getty Images Mamdani also proposes a network of city-owned grocery stores. This plan is straight out of the communist playbook. In his TikTok video promoting the idea, Mamdani says that grocery stores are too expensive. His proposal will simultaneously increase the overhead costs of grocery stores via property costs, congestion pricing, adding to delivery costs, and green new deal policies that increase the costs of electricity and maintenance. He will undercut pricing until other, independent stores can’t compete and will be forced to close, leaving only city-owned grocery stores. Then the stores themselves will either have to skyrocket the prices, have little to no inventory, or be massively subsidized by taxpayer dollars, creating another redistribution scheme. His proposal on childcare? Free childcare, of course. Get the kids early and keep them forever, that’s the socialist motto. Once again, no plans on how to pay for this. Mamdani also wants free bussing around the city, which brings in approximately $1.2 billion in revenue for the MTA. Other, saner people would actually talk about prosecuting fare evasion, which costs $350-700 million per year and forces the rest of the public to pick up the monetary slack, but Mamdani actually wants to reward the criminals and say that everyone gets free bussing. Of course, he also claims that this means that buses will be safer and cleaner to ride and everyone will love them, when in reality, this means that they will become mobile homeless shelters or overcrowded nightmares. The gaslighting by Mamdani is shockingly brazen. Recently, he touted his free bussing proposal while riding the Staten Island Ferry. He claimed on social media that since the ferry is free, why can’t bussing be free? Either he doesn’t know that the ferry costs well over $100 million per year to operate while the bus system costs over $4 billion per year, or is assuming that his audience is too dumb to put that together. Either way, it doesn’t matter to Mamdani, because to a socialist, everything can be paid for just because they say it can. How will Mamdani pay for all of his proposals? You guessed it, he will raise taxes. All of these proposals come directly from Mamdani’s campaign website and should concern every responsible New Yorker. It’s his opinions and views on Israel and the Jews, however, that should concern them even more. His defenders will, of course, claim that he doesn’t hate Jews — and anti-Zionist Leftist Jews from “IfNotNow” and “Jewish Voice For Peace” will line up around the block to take pictures with him to prove that he’s not anti-Semitic. But that’s all a sham. Mamdani was the sponsor of the ‘Not On Our Dime’ act in Albany, one of the first bills he proposed. It would empower the Attorney General to shut down any non-profit (which includes any synagogue) that gave charity to any entity in the “Occupied Palestinian Territories.” Now, he would claim that he means Judea, Samaria, and Gaza, but everyone knows that the pro-Hamasniks believe that all of Israel is truly the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” They literally wear t-shirts that say exactly that. Mamdani also does not believe Israel should exist as a Jewish state. So the standard that applies to the 27 Muslim, 13 Christian, or two Buddhist countries does not apply to the only Jewish state? Vincent Alban/The New York Times/Bloomberg via Getty Images During the recent Democratic mayoral debate, when asked specifically if Israel should exist as a Jewish state, Mamdani replied, “I believe Israel can exist as a state with equal rights.” His statement ignores the fact that Israel offers equal rights for all its citizens, that Arabs serve in the Israeli government, on courts, and any other setting they wish to. In fact, Israel has far more equality than Mamdani’s birth country of Uganda. So, Mamdani wants to shut down every Jewish non-profit or synagogue, thinks the Jewish state should be eradicated, and we’re supposed to believe he doesn’t hate the Jews? This couldn’t come at a more important time. Recently, Molotov cocktails were thrown at Jews in Boulder, Colorado, for the crime of wanting to free Jewish hostages. Several weeks ago, two young people were shot in Washington, D.C., for the crime of attending an Israeli event. Students in New York City can’t get to classes, the streets have been blocked, and lives have been ruined. Will this mayoral hopeful have an interest in directing what remains of his police force to protect the Jews who live in his city, or will he publish a trite statement on social media and turn a blind eye? Now we’re seeing riots in Los Angeles and around the country as deranged Leftists take on ICE agents. The president activated the National Guard to prevent a return to the summer of 2020. Will Mamdani stoke the same fires as Democrats in California have, calling them a “mostly peaceful protests” while the fires burn? Will he throw fuel on those fires? This election could be a breaking point for New York City. Everything that can be done to prevent Mamdani from winning must be done right now. The future of New York is in the hands of the voters. If they sit this one out, they only have themselves to blame. * * * Moshe Hill is a political analyst, columnist for the Queens Jewish Link, and is currently running for the County Legislature in Nassau County, New York. Iran Attacks U.S. Military Base

Iran launched an attack at a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday, firing a barrage of missiles after the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend, Axios reported. Explosions were heard near Qatar’s capital city of Doha on Monday night local time, and the United States told citizens in the country to shelter in place until further notice, according to Reuters. Iran issued a statement through its state media announcing its attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar, according to The New York Times. The Trump administration was given a “good advance warning” of the Iranian attack, a source “familiar with the matter” told Axios. Iran also reportedly gave its ally Qatar an advanced notice before launching the missiles at the American base. Qatar closed its airspace before the Iranian missile barrage, and the U.S and British governments warned citizens in Qatar to shelter in place. “The base that was targeted in the attack by the powerful Iranian forces was far from urban facilities and residential areas in Qatar,” Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said in a statement. “This action did not pose any threat to our friendly and brotherly country, Qatar, and its noble people.” President Donald Trump was scheduled to meet with his National Security team at the White House at 1:00 p.m. As the Iranians fired missiles at the U.S. base, Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were monitoring the attack in the Situation Room, CNN reported. The White House and Department of Defense are aware of, and closely monitoring, potential threats to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a senior White House official told Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan. Trump previously warned Iran against any retaliation, saying it “will be met with force far greater than what was witnessed.” Many of the personnel and aircraft at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest military base in the Middle East, were evacuated in recent days as tensions rose in the Middle East. The base is also fortified by air defenses, The New York Times reported. Videos posted on social media showed missiles being intercepted over Qatar. Leavitt Debunks ‘Completely False’ Report That Top Dems Not Given Advanced Notice Of Iran Strikes

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt set the record straight after CNN reported over the weekend that the Trump administration did not provide advanced notice of the United States’s strike on three Iranian nuclear sites to Democrat leaders in Congress. On Fox News, Leavitt said there was, in fact, outreach to both Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and the White House had the receipts to prove it. “The White House made calls to congressional leadership. They were bipartisan calls. In fact, Hakeem Jeffries couldn’t be reached. We tried him before the strike and he didn’t pick up the phone,” Leavitt said during a “Fox & Friends” interview. .@PressSec: “The White House made calls to congressional leadership. They were bipartisan calls. In fact, @RepJeffries couldn’t be reached. We tried him before the strike and he didn’t pick up the phone.” pic.twitter.com/9NLotvijX7 — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) June 23, 2025 Leavitt added that Jeffries was ultimately briefed after the strike, while Schumer was advised beforehand. “This notion that CNN ran with that the White House did not give a heads up to Democrats is just completely false,” Leavitt said. “In fact, both Sen. Schumer’s office and CNN had to retract that story last night because it was a blatant lie and we showed them the timestamps from those phone calls.” CNN did initially report that no top Democrats were told of Trump’s plans until after the attack, but later updated its headline and issued a correction to note that Schumer did receive a call prior to the strike after Leavitt initially called out the news outlet on X. Its revised story said that a source “conceded” Schumer had been called a little less than an hour before the attack “with little detail” and no mention of which country in which the action was taking place. NBC News reporter Julie Tsirkin cited a Schumer aide who called the notification “perfunctory.” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) defended Trump’s strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and contended that top members of the legislature were notified. “The President made the right call, and did what he needed to do. Leaders in Congress were aware of the urgency of this situation and the Commander-in-Chief evaluated that the imminent danger outweighed the time it would take for Congress to act,” Johnson said on X. He added: “The world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, which chants ‘Death to America,’ simply could not be allowed the opportunity to obtain and use nuclear weapons. The President fully respects the Article I power of Congress, and tonight’s necessary, limited, and targeted strike follows the history and tradition of similar military actions under presidents of both parties.”
