You may vote red or blue, but would you rather live in a blue state or a red state? Regardless of what people do at the ballot box, newly released data from the Census Bureau overwhelmingly show people voting with their feet, leaving blue states for red states. And this is nothing new. From July 2024 to July 2025 (the latest numbers available), blue states like California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Massachusetts hemorrhaged their most valuable resource—people—at an alarming rate. These were the five worst states for net domestic migration, meaning more people left those states than moved in, for a combined net loss of 477,000 in just 12 months. Since 2020, these five deep-blue states have cumulative net losses reaching almost 3.7 million people in total. That's a lot of one-way U-Hauls.

As the U.S. formally exited from the World Health Organization last month, Trump administration officials misleadingly claimed that the WHO "pushed" or "promoted" lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. The group did not explicitly recommend lockdowns, although it also did not advise countries not to implement them. It said it recognized that the measures might be needed in some cases. More than six years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, federal health officials are spinning the facts about the WHO as part of their justification to leave the organization. The U.S. formally exited the WHO on Jan. 22, a year after giving notice to do so, much to the chagrin of many in public health. The WHO "ignored rigorous science and promoted lockdowns," Acting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Jim O'Neill wrote on the day of the exit in an X post that also made claims about Taiwan.

Courts across the country have overwhelmingly rejected the Trump administration's effort to round up thousands of immigrants and lock them up without a chance for bond — even if they have no criminal records and have lived in the United States for years. But the Trump administration has slow-walked or outright defied judges' orders demanding the release of people scooped up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an increasingly rapid clip.

The Smithsonian Institution, the world's largest museum, education, and research complex with 21 museums, libraries, and even a zoo, is betraying its principal stakeholder: the American people. The people elected President Donald Trump to be the chief executive of the country. His administration has repeatedly asked Secretary Lonnie Bunch III, the Smithsonian's leader, to furnish a number of materials in order to execute an audit to ensure the Smithsonian is not pushing a woke agenda, thereby degrading America's national identity, and to guarantee that the Smithsonian will play its part in this year's celebration of the semiquincentennial of America's founding. So far, Bunch has given Trump bupkis, if not the middle finger.
