The latest comes from Yolo County, California and features a “book” titled aimed at Grades 9-12 and titled “Let’s Talk About It: The Teen’s Guide to Sex, Relationships, and Being a Human.” Ok, sounds decent enough, right? After all, it’s not like kids those ages have never heard of sex.  So some basic education might be good, right? And that would be true, except this isn’t education in a helpful way, this is more like a “how to” and it features heavily on, let’s say, the butt. In addition, the pages taken out of context do not represent the intention of the book and only served as an illustration to help provide understanding of what the author was trying to portray in their book.” “The book expands on sexual orientation and gender identity which are both topics touched on in wellness.” “It being a graphic novel makes the book more accessible to a variety of readers.” The book “has won a large number of teen-specific literary awards and is an ‘Own Voices’ text for a marginalized community. Inclusion in the library of the three high schools meets the district's goal for more inclusive and diverse materials.” “This graphic novel is very well done from a literary standpoint. A heavy police presence failed to prevent the Monday night meeting from descending into chaos as demonstrators took it over and then various factions within them jostled for control, shouting at each other. Protesters often ignored the requests of police officers to stop interrupting board members. It was unclear who was in control of the meeting at times. Most of the crowd appeared to be in opposition to the books, but there were also a number of people with the the American Federation of Teachers union who showed up to support inclusion of LGBTQ people and others. Hi everyone! Noah here, and if you’ve been around here for a while you know I have a personal rule that I don’t talk about or promote any products that I don’t personally use myself…and love using! I just started the Aeon patch on July 16 so I'll give you a more in depth review after I've worn it for a while. But I'll say, I do feel pretty good lol. Feels like God is taking care of everything in my life and it's all going to work out, somehow. IceWave patches are solely for pain, deals with it quickly. That's one you'll want to have in your first aid kit, just in case. That's the next one I'm getting. X49 patches are what you'd use when you're going to the gym and want to increase performance and build muscle. Since 30 patches come in a pack, and I only workout about 3 times a week, 1 pack will last over 2 & 1/2 months for me. Here's some comments and reviews:
