UPDATE: President Trump Reveals Whether He Will Use Troops On The Ground In Iran
As the days go on, President Trump has proven he will not make a quick emotional move when it comes to the U.S. involvement in Iran.
Over the last week, President Trump has been weighing in on the decision on whether or not to use “bunker buster” bombs on Iran’s Fordow nuclear site.
Rumors have been swirling that if President Trump drops “bunker busters” on Fordow, then it will result in U.S. troops being sent into Iran.
However, in his latest statement, the Commander-in-Chief has put those rumors to rest.
The Times of Israel had more details to add:
US President Donald Trump says he will “always [be] a peacemaker,” but “sometimes you need some toughness to make peace.”
Asked about the potential for sending in US ground troops to fight against Iran, Trump tells reporters, “That’s the last thing you want to do.”
Asked about the two-week window he provided yesterday for making a decision on whether to join Israel in the war, Trump says he’s giving Iran “a period of time.”
“I would say two weeks would be the maximum,” he says.
Trump indicates that Israel wouldn’t be able to take out Iran’s Fordo underground nuclear facility on its own. “They really have a very limited capacity. They could break through a little section, but they can’t go down very deep. They don’t have that capacity.”
“Maybe it won’t be necessary,” he adds.

Trump has also opened the door for a possible ceasefire.
Per Reuters:
President Donald Trump said on Friday he might support a ceasefire in the week-old aerial conflict between U.S. ally Israel and its regional rival Iran “depending on the circumstances”.
Asked by reporters if he would support a ceasefire while negotiations are ongoing, Trump said: “I might, depending on the circumstances”.
Europe would not be able to help much in the war between Iran and Israel, Trump added.
