Sen. Ted Cruz Says House Republican Should Be Ignored, Becoming “Very Liberal”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Republican colleague Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is becoming “very liberal” with some of her stances and should be ignored, The Hill reports.
“What I’ve found is that whenever an elected official decides that they are going to turn on Israel and hate Israel, you will very quickly see every other policy out of their mouth become very, very liberal,” Cruz said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” according to the outlet.
“And so suddenly Marjorie is for massive government spending and taxes and open borders and amnesty,” he continued.
The Texas Republican added that people should not “spend much time worrying about what Marjorie is saying.”

The Hill shared more:
Cruz followed Sen. Bernie Moreno’s (R-Ohio) plea for Greene to stop openly criticizing House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).
“If this is something she‘s passionate about, put pen to paper, write a bill, present an option,” Moreno said during an appearance on CNN’s “The Source.” “Don‘t just criticize what other people are doing.”
Greene on Tuesday called out Johnson for not offering congressional Republicans any plans on an alternative to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) during a conference call. This comes amid Democrats’ firm stance on extending ACA tax credits before they expire at the end of the year.
“Johnson said he’s got ideas and pages of policy ideas and committees of jurisdiction are working on it, but he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference on our own conference call,” the Georgia Republican wrote in a post on social platform X. “Apparently I have to go into a SCIF to find out the Republican healthcare plan!!!”
You left out that I said I have no respect for the House not being in session passing our bills and the President’s executive orders.
And I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan for healthcare is to build the off-ramp off Obamacare and the ACA tax… https://t.co/eiY6M8tJyD

Last month, Cruz suggested Greene was “crazy” after she wrote a post saying she’s “not suicidal.”
“I am not suicidal and one of the happiest healthiest people you will meet. I have full faith in God and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. As a sinner, I am only saved through His grace and mercy,” Greene said.
“With that said, if something happens to me, I ask you all to find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out. Not only about this issue, but because of the truth that I have been speaking. The People understand what I’m saying,” she added.
“Why do crazy people keep thinking ‘the Jews’ are trying to kill them?” Cruz said.

Newsweek provided further details:
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has hit back at Senator Ted Cruz after he branded her “crazy” in response to a social media post in which she said she is “not suicidal.”
In the post on X on Saturday, the Georgia Republican suggested that she could be killed over her support for the release of files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “If something happens to me, I ask you all to find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out,” she wrote.
Cruz wrote in response: “Why do crazy people keep thinking ‘the Jews’ are trying to kill them?”
In comments to Newsweek, Greene slammed her fellow Republican, saying he “had the gall to falsely accuse me of attacking Jewish people. That charge is disgusting and utterly false.”
She added: ”Let me be crystal clear: I will never baselessly attack a group of people. But I will, and must, call out foreign governments, foreign influence, and the special interests that bankroll politicians. If that upsets Ted Cruz or his AIPAC donors, so be it.”
