They are saying we are witnessing an “energy emergency” and entire countries may run out of oil

It is hard to decide which is the bigger disaster: the unfolding car crash in the global gas market or the mounting danger that entire countries will run out of oil. The benchmark TTF contract for gas in Europe was €29 (£25) per megawatt-hour (MWh) in mid-February. Bank of America says it could reach €500 […]

Ella Langley Finds Herself On Introspective New Single, “Loving Life Again”

Ella Langley’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Dandelion, will be out in less than a month on April 10th, and she has one more single for fans to hear before it’s out. The Alabama native has no doubt had a whirlwind of the last two years. Since winning her first CMA Award for her duet with Riley Green for “You Look Like You Love Me,” she has been on a nonstop roll. That duet not only swept awards season but led Langley into her next major hit, “Choosin’ Texas,” which served as the lead single for her next chapter of music following Hungover. The single, co-written with Miranda Lambert, Joybeth Taylor, and Luke Dick, has become nothing short of a cultural phenomenon at this point, going #1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks now and allowing Langley to become just the seventh female artist IN HISTORY to go #1 on the Hot 100 with a country song. The catchy tune undoubtedly set a high precedent for what’s to come from Langley’s sophomore record, and the singles she has released thus far have delivered. Taking a step back from the rock and roll Stevie Nicks-like edge she’s had recently, Langley has shared her heart with fans on songs like  “Dandelion” and “Be Her,” admitting some of her flaws and how she’s struggled with the changes life has recently brought her. And today, on the final single before the record, “Loving Life Again,” Langley is revisiting a dark time in her career, where she felt like she was underwater, leading her to step away from touring last year. Similar to “Dandelion,” the introspective tune feels breezy and calm, like tall blades of grass swaying in the wind on a slow, sunny summer afternoon. Langley has been playing this tune for fans, debuting the song while performing at Bulls, Bands & Barrels in Bossier City, Louisiana. Before performing the single, Langley took a second to thank her fans for making all of her dreams come true. Despite her fame, she’s remained truly humble and expresses her gratitude for the opportunity to live out her childhood dreams every day. But Langley faced some hardships last year, prompting her to step away from music and touring to rediscover herself and reconnect with who she truly is. Langley shared with her fans that during her downtime, she was inspired to create this song, reflecting on the things that help her reconnect with her roots. “This next song I’m about to play is on the record. It’s probably the…one of the most sentimental. I went through a time and a half last year. I took a couple of weeks off, and I got to refine myself. I got to have a lot of talks with the Lord, and I got to be re-grateful for all of the things that he’s given me. So on this song, it’s called ‘Loving Life Again.’” I was in love with this song from hearing it live, and I love it even more hearing the studio cut. The cadence of the single falls right in line with that “Sunday afternoon” vibe that Langley hoped to set with this record. Penned alongside Ernest and Devin Dawson, the songwriting is profound yet simple, conveying a feeling everyone can relate to. We’ve all faced hardships that have brought out a side you don’t love, and it takes time and hard work to get back to a place of peace, loving who you are and the life you are living. “Just like that, I’m back to loving life again Dreaming dreams about back home riding on the wind When I close my eyes, I find some peace in the back of my mind In between them pines where I’m jumping on that quartеr horse, and then Just like that, I’m back to loving lifе again…” Langley’s Alabama roots are woven throughout the song’s lyrics, and you can feel how her home is a sacred place for her and her mental health. “Loving Life Again” is a reminder we all need to slow down and find the joy in our daily lives. Miss Langley did it again with this one. Turn this one all the way up. The post Ella Langley Finds Herself On Introspective New Single, “Loving Life Again” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.

Parker McCollum Expands Stellar Self-Titled Album With Four-Song Deluxe Edition

Expanding his most personal album to date. It’s safe to say that 2025 was a pretty huge year for Parker McCollum. In addition to performing at President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball in January and co-hosting Better Together Texas and raising over $8.5 million for flood relief with Miranda Lambert in August, the Texas native dropped what he called his most personal record to date, his self-titled, fifth studio album, back on June 27th. Ultimately, the self-titled release felt like a return to form for McCollum. Though it didn’t quite have the feel of the highly lauded Limestone Kid that many were expecting, it was a record filled with a plethora of quality tracks. From the sprawling murder ballad, “My Blue,” and the Cody Johnson collaboration, “Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues,” to high-energy tracks like his #1 hit, “What Kinda Man,” and “Big Sky,” he delivered a rock-solid effort. Despite there still being rumblings from fans about the album not being Limestone Kid, it was clear that McCollum was through the roof with the record upon its completion. In an interview with Apple Music’s Kelleigh Bannen, he’d call it the first time he left the studio feeling like he made something that “might be a little bit good.” “It’s my fifth studio album and the other four, every time I’ve made a record, I’ve left the studio and just been like, ‘I missed. Not good. Don’t like it. Just wasted a ton of time and money.’ And it’s always done so well. Everything’s done so well. So I’m like, ‘Maybe this is the kiss of death, the fact that I finally think that I’ve done something that might be a little bit good.’ But I don’t know, I don’t need anybody else to like it. And it’s the first time I’ve ever really been able to feel like that, which is nice.” Given the fact that McCollum liked the project so much, coupled with the fact that the highly anticipated track, “Big Ole Fancy House,” was left off the official release and only available through downloading the album on his website, it felt like a deluxe edition was bound to happen. This notion received more validity at the start of 2026 when McCollum took to Instagram to tease that new music was coming “very, very soon.” Just a few weeks later, the “Pretty Heart” singer would send fans into a frenzy by announcing that the aforementioned “Big Ole Fancy House” was FINALLY getting an official release. In tandem with “Fancy House’s” release back on January 23rd, McCollum would officially announce that a deluxe version of the record was set to release today, March 2oth. View this post on Instagram In addition to finally receiving “Big Ole Fancy House,” McCollum expanded the record with another three tracks: “Montgomery County,” “The One Before The One” and Wind My Friend.” Kicking off the deluxe edition is the solo-written “Montgomery County.” Serving as a love letter to his hometown, the track ultimately feels like a peek behind the curtain of McCollum’s life growing up. Filled to the brim with tiny details of the town, ranging from schools in the area and local businesses to old friends and family, the track truly feels like you’re in the car with the Texas native as he takes a Sunday drive through his town. As for “The One Before The One,” I’d argue it’s one of the most interesting tracks on the entire project. Co-written by fellow Texas legend, Randy Rogers, along with Jedd Hughes and Sarah Buxton, it’s one of the most soulful, bluesy tracks in McCollum’s to date. Feeling reminiscent of an early John Mayer track, he grapples with the fact that everyone thinks they found the “one” for them before moving on and finding the other “one” that’s actually right for them. “I thought I saw forever, turns out we were blind You never met the man that I became and that’s just fine Everybody has the one before the one and you were mine” Ultimately, the four-song expansion of McCollum’s self-titled album does the project justice. Though there will always be critics harping on the fact that he didn’t harken back to the Limestone Kid era, the album in its entirety feels like a return to form for the “Burn It Down” singer. It’s abundantly clear that McCollum is at his most confident here on the album, and it results in a project that’s incredibly sure of itself, fresh and most importantly, cohesive. “Montgomery County” “The One Before The One” “Wind My Friend” Parker McCollum Tour Dates March 26 – Estero, Florida – Hertz Arena x+ March 27-28 – St. Augustine, FL – St. Augustine Amphitheater x+ June 4 – Milwaukee, Wisconsin – BMO Pavilion x/ June 5 – Sterling Heights, Michigan – Michigan Lottery Amphitheater x/ June 6 – Grand Rapids, Michigan – Acrisure Amphitheater x/ June 18 – San Diego, California – Viejas Arena ~$ June 19 – Los Angeles, California- Greek Theatre ~$ June 20 – Sacramento, California – Golden 1 Center ~$ June 25 – Nampa, Idaho – Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater ~$ June 26 – Bend, Oregon – Hayden Homes Amphitheater ~$ June 27 – Kent, Washington – Accesso Showare Center ~$ July 16 – Brandon, Mississippi – Brandon Amphitheater ~> July 17 – Orange Beach, Alabama – The Wharf Amphitheater ~> July 18 – Alpharetta, Georgia – Ameris Bank Amphitheater ~> July 24 – Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio – Blossom Music Center z/ July 25 – Fairborn, Ohio – Wright State University – Nutter Center z/ July 29 – Morrison, Colorado – Red Rocks Amphitheater +0 July 31 – Kansas City, Missouri – Morton Amphitheater +0 August 1 – Omaha, Nebraska – Chi Health Center Omaha +0 August 6 – Bridgeport, Connecticut – Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater z/ August 8 – Burgettstown, Pennsylvania – The Pavilion at Star Lake z/ August 21 – Simpsonville, South Carolina – CCNB Amphitheater at Heritage Park x% August 22 – Huntsville, Alabama – The Orion Amphitheater x% September 3 – Bangor, Maine – Maine Savings Amphitheater x@ September 4 – Gilford, New Hampshire – Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion x@ September 5 – Saratoga Springs, New York – Saratoga Performing Arts Center x@ September 17 – Jonesboro, Arkansas – First National Bank Arena x!
