Moving forward, no immigrant should be allowed into the US unless they are financially self sufficient, and will somehow be of benefit to the US. America First should mean that we put our national interests above everything else. And if someone isn’t an asset to this country for a reason OTHER THAN THEIR IDENTITY, sorry, can’t help ya. If there are war/conflict refugees or asylum seekers for safety reasons, I’m sure there are other countries these people can go. Many of them with closer cultural norms anyway. Then, we need to have a serious national discussion about changing the rules for running for elected office to allow native born Americans only. From school board to the Senate. No foreign born candidates. It’s time we put America AND American culture first. If we don’t make these changes…..go take a look at the UK. That will be us.
