The feud between President Trump and Elon Musk has escalated quickly. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!" Trump said in another post. The Guardian reports: Shares in Tesla, Musk’s electronic vehicle company, fell almost 15% on Thursday afternoon with the decline timed to when Trump’s remarks began. Musk’s rocket company, SpaceX, is not publicly traded, but competitors to SpaceX rose on the news. For weeks, Musk has complained about the budget bill, and used the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimating the bill would add $2.4tn to the deficit over the next decade as an opening to condemn the legislation as a “disgusting abomination”.

What a day.  The public breakdown of the relationship between President Trump and Elon Musk is currently FLARING WILDLY on social media. And Elon Musk just dropped what he’s calling a “really big bomb”. He just claimed that President Trump is the real reason the Epstein files are STILL being held back from the American people. Because, he says, President Trump is implicated in those files. That is possibly the most unexpected accusation I ever thought I would hear come out of Elon Musk. And honestly, my head is spinning right now trying to make sense out of what is going on. Is this just the emotional blowup on the part of some seriously hard-charging individuals wired for conquering and doing big things??? Or could there, possibly, be some truth to Elon’s accusation? But there has been a serious delay, going against President Trump’s promises, in releasing those Epstein files… as has been reported by The Independent: Elon Musk has claimed that President Donald Trump “is in the Epstein files” and that’s “the real reason” they have not been released in his latest public attack. He followed up shortly after: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.” The president and the billionaire are currently trading blows on social media in a very public breakdown of their relationship. The barbs came after Musk’s departure as a special advisor to the government, and his brief time running the Department of Government Efficiency. “Elon was ‘wearing thin,’ I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!“ the president wrote before Musk dropped the claim about the Epstein files. The delay in releasing the Epstein files has infuriated MAGA. Attorney General Pam Bondi released the “first phase” of declassified files on February 27 related to the late sex offender. She invited MAGA online personalities to the White House to see the files for themselves, but the binders contained information that had already been released to the public. At a briefing last month, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked when the bulk of the files would be released. She said she didn’t have a “specific timeline.” In January 2024, Trump posted on Truth Social that he “was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid island.’” In the sudden dustup between two of the most dynamic personalities to ever grace this earth, the likelihood that this just dies down and goes away is basically impossible. We just saw Elon Musk and President Trump go from zero to 1,000MPH in the blink of an eye. I hope, for the good of the country and for the good of the Trump Administration, things calm down soon between these legendary personalities. And I hope even more that these accusations aren’t true. David Jolly, who served as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 13th congressional district from 2014 to 2017 as a Republican, has launched a bid for Florida governor as a Democrat. “I’m Democrat David Jolly, and I’m launching my campaign today for Governor of Florida,” Jolly said. “Our state is in crisis — not just a crisis of policy, not right versus left, but a crisis of right versus wrong. C.W. Bill Young. He won a full term to his Tampa-area seat that November but lost reelection two years later to former Gov. Charlie Crist, himself a former Republican who by then had become a Democrat. In between, Jolly briefly ran for Senate in 2016 but dropped out shortly before Republican incumbent Marco Rubio decided to seek a second term after his presidential hopes were dashed that year. Since leaving the House, Jolly has become a noted Trump critic and has appeared as a commentator on MSNBC. With his announcement, Jolly becomes the second high-profile former Republican in as many cycles to run for Florida governor as a Democrat. Crist gave up his House seat in 2022 to challenge DeSantis, but lost by nearly 20 points as Republicans dominated throughout the state. That dominance continued in 2024, with Trump carrying the state by double digits, four years after besting Joe Biden by just 3 points. Former state Sen. Jason Pizzo, who has considerable personal wealth, recently left the party and has said he is running for governor as an independent, removing a potential obstacle who had been considered one of the top-tier potential Jolly opponents in a primary. After having spent years as one of the country’s most tightly divided swing states, Florida has become an overwhelmingly GOP-dominated state. Republicans control all levers of power in state government, and Democrats have not held the Governor’s Mansion since the late 1990s. Jolly, however, thinks a focus away from the sort of culture war-driven, sharp-elbowed politics that has defined Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ two terms in office is a way to break through. “This is a different type of issue-driven, results-focused campaign, and it will be driven not by anger and division but by optimism and solutions,” Jolly said. “We are building a new coalition of Floridians who deeply care about their state and are desperate for real answers to real problems that are putting our quality of life at risk.” On the Republican side, U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds has already announced he is running for governor, and he quickly picked up an endorsement from Trump. He has raised over $15 million and is considered the front-runner on the GOP said, even as DeSantis’ wife, Casey, considers her own campaign for governor.
