‘The Kevin Roberts Show’ Is Back

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts debuted the new format for his show Wednesday, introducing conservative radio personality Larry O’Connor as his new co-host. Together, Roberts and O’Connor will host weekly conversations exploring the ideas, principles, and values they believe are essential for Americas success.  Roberts, host of “The Kevin Roberts Show” for over three years, says he’s excited to be joined by his favorite radio host. O’Connor has been on the radio since 2010 and is a conservative political commentator who frequently guests on Fox News.   I’m thrilled to welcome @LarryOConnor as co-host of The Kevin Roberts Show! Larry brings wit, wisdom, and a deep love for this country. We’re coming to you every Wednesday—starting next week. ? https://t.co/ccKH67uC4g pic.twitter.com/ys5ewlirWp— Kevin Roberts (@KevinRobertsTX) October 23, 2025 On the first episode, the two discussed one of the most pressing challenges facing our country today: The Housing Crisis.   “The 2028 presidential election is going to be won or lost on which side better explains the solution to the housing crisis,” Roberts predicted.   O’Connor asked Roberts if he thinks the reason for the affordability and housing crisis was because of, “too much government intrusion and manipulation of the markets in the first place.”   “That’s 80% of the problem,” Roberts responded. “All the way from home building … to permitting, mortgages lending, all of that. The government is way too involved.”  Beyond policy, the hosts also reflect on the American Dream, exploring what it truly means to live it in today’s America.   “The American dream is not what a certain candidate for mayor in New York City defines it to be,” Roberts said, hinting at Zohran Mamdani’s socialist dream for NYC. “Rather, it is that every American gets the equal opportunity to flourish.”   Roberts shared a personal story about helping organize Pat Buchanan’s campaign rally in 1992, which cemented his belief in the American Dream.   “Ever since then, I’ve thought, regardless of whatever the obstacles are for me or another American, get over yourself. And remember that we get to wake up and call ourselves Americans, it’s the greatest blessing any group of people has ever had in the history of the world.”     Next week, Roberts and O’Connor will tackle immigration, border security, and will answer the burning question, “If you don’t have borders, are you even a country?”  This new format also invites the audience to get involved in the conversation. So be sure to leave your immigration-related questions in the YouTube comment section for Roberts and O’Connor to answer on the show next week.   The post ‘The Kevin Roberts Show’ Is Back   appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Time to End Shameful Charade of Democrats’ Schumer Shutdown

Editor’s note: Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., delivered the following remarks Wednesday on the Senate floor: “Mr. President, we’re now in Day 29 of the Democrat government shutdown. “And I say that because it is a Democrat shutdown. “Now, the Democrats are out there publicly saying, ‘Well, this is the Republicans who are responsible for shutting down the government,’ notwithstanding the fact that the House of Representatives has passed a bill, sitting right here, that with five more Democrats, we could pick up and pass, put on the president’s desk, he would sign it into law, and the government would reopen. “Those are the simple facts. “Those are indisputable facts. “Now, what it suggests to me, however, when they say that it’s the Republicans’ fault, or you know, somehow the Republicans are responsible for shutting the government down, it really defies facts. “It defies history. “It defies reality. “Because, as everybody who’s been around here knows, we have now voted 13 times—13 times on that bill sitting at the desk that would open up the government, put everybody back to work, and all the pain that is being caused [for] the American people would go away. “Thirteen times, we’ve had that vote. “Now, interestingly enough, that matches the number of times the Democrats passed a clean [continuing resolution] when they had the majority. “The last four years under President [Joe] Biden, 13 different occasions—13 different occasions—they voted for a clean continuing resolution to fund the government. “And at the time, they talked about how terrible it is that, you know, the government should be taken hostage when you have a dispute over other issues. “You have tons of statements. “I mean, I could spend all day just repeating the statements that Democrats made over and over and over again about the importance of funding the government and not taking it hostage to discuss other issues. “The record is replete with statements like that coming out of the Democrats. “So, 13 times they have voted against funding the government right here. “Thirteen times while they were in the majority, they voted for a clean continuing resolution. “Now explain that logic to the American people, who are the ones that are experiencing the pain and the consequence of their shutdown. “I think the American people understand what’s going on here. “We consistently see that, and so much so that you even have the organizations, the unions around the country, have come out now. “You’ve got the American Federation of Government Employees, you’ve got the Teamsters, you’ve got at least part of the air traffic controllers union—all have endorsed a clean funding resolution. “That, to me, suggests that the American people, it is resonating with them about who’s responsible for this government shutdown. “But don’t take my word for who it is. “Take the Democrats’ own words. “If you look at what’s been said by some of the Democrat leadership here, just in the last few days since the government actually shut down. “That, of course, is the Democrat leader, [Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.], who said, ‘Every day gets better for us,’ commenting about the government shutdown. “And my simple observation is: Better for who? “For you, because you think you’re winning politically? “What about the air traffic controllers? “What about the TSA agents? “What about the American troops? “What about our Border Patrol agents? “What about the people who work in this building? “What about the 40 million Americans that are going to not get SNAP benefits starting on Saturday if the government doesn’t open up? “But every day gets better, according to Senator Schumer. “Then, of course, this last week, there was the House Democrat whip, who said, ‘Of course, there will be families that are going to suffer. … But it is one of the few leverage times we have.’ “‘Of course there are families that are going to suffer.’ “Yeah, true, but doesn’t matter, because we’ve got leverage. “Then, of course, we have a third one here, one of our colleagues here in the Senate, the senator from Delaware, who said this in an interview, ‘Frankly, this is our only moment of leverage. And although a very unpleasant tool to use … .’ “Yeah, yeah, it’s unpleasant. “It’s unpleasant, unless you’re a Democrat who thinks that this gives you a moment of leverage. “So, lest there be any question about who is responsible for shutting the government down—make no mistake about it, these guys are the ones who are out there bragging about it ‘getting better for us every single day.’ Or, ‘we have more leverage now.’ “Mr. President, this has gone on long enough. “We’ve made it abundantly clear that this is not about what the Democrats say it’s about. “It’s about the president in the White House. “This is TDS. “This is Trump Derangement Syndrome on steroids, and they are asking the American people to pay the price for that. “Thirteen times when Biden was president, they had no issues with funding the federal government with a clean [continuing resolution]. “Now, we bring a clean, nonpartisan CR, no partisan riders, no policies, Republican policies attached, just funds the government. “Comes over from the House a month ago now, we put it here, just asking a handful of Democrats to join us. “Because, as we know, it takes 60 [votes] in the Senate, and I think most people understand that. “I mean, they’re trying to ignore the fact now, that ‘the Republicans have control of Washington. They have the House, the Senate, and the White House.’ “Anybody who follows this knows that in the United States Senate, the rules, the procedures in the Senate by which we operate and are governed, require a 60-vote threshold. “So, it takes more than 51—meaning, since we have 53 Republicans, it’s going to take a handful of Democrats. “Well, we’ve been able to generate 55 votes consistently now, 13 different times, for funding the government, opening up the government, but we need five more. “So, the question is: Are there five people over there with a backbone, five courageous Democrats, five Democrats who don’t buy this? “Who don’t believe that they ought to be using the American people as leverage—as leverage—to try and win a political battle? “Are there five Democrats over there who believe that we ought to do what’s in the best interest of the American people? “The best interests of the air traffic controllers and the [Transportation Security Administration] agents? “And the men and women in uniform? “And the SNAP recipients that, starting on Saturday, are going to go without food assistance? “This is not a game. “You’re playing with real people’s lives. “Now, in the Washington world, in the political world, they may think that they are winning this debate because it gives them leverage. “But in the real world, where real people live, people are hurting. “People here aren’t getting paid. “Federal workers aren’t getting paid, as of Friday, last paycheck. “Air traffic controllers, paychecks started going away yesterday. “So, I’m still hopeful. “I remain hopeful that there are enough sane Democrats who are not so afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome—because that is what this is about, fundamentally. “Nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. “This is about Trump Derangement Syndrome. “And … it has broken out over here in a way unlike anything I’ve seen in my time here. “Disagree with the president, that’s fine. “Come down here, make statements, cast votes. “Don’t take the American people hostage and make them pay the price, because you think that ‘every day this is getting better for us.’ “Mr. President, the Democrat leader was on the floor yesterday morning, claiming that, once again, Republicans don’t want to talk about fixing health care. “And let me just say, Mr. President—for the 1,282nd time—that Republicans are more than happy to have a discussion about health care. “We should have a discussion about health care. “Because Democrats’ signature health care law has done exactly nothing to address the problem of rising health care costs. “We were promised, of course, that it would. “We were, in fact, promised that Democrats’ signature law would fix our entire health care system. “This is a quote: ‘[A]n historic bill that will finally reform our broken health care system and help millions of our families and small businesses get the coverage they need at a price they can afford.’ “That, from the senior Democrat senator from Washington speaking of Obamacare back in 2009.  “Or, to quote President [Barack] Obama himself, ‘This law will cut costs and make coverage more affordable for families and small businesses.’ “‘… cut costs and make coverage more affordable for families and small businesses.’ “Except, of course, it didn’t. “And what has been very striking about the last few weeks is that Democrats are at least now admitting that. “Oh, yeah, they’re not saying it straight out. “But every time they talk about Americans facing a health care crisis, they are admitting that their signature health care law failed. “That it did not address the problem of high health care costs. “That it did not make health care more affordable for hardworking Americans. “Now, Mr. President, I could go down the list of Obamacare’s broken promises. “If you like your health insurance you can keep it. “Not true. “If you like your doctor you can keep him or her.  “Not true. “Premium costs will go down. “Not true—exactly the opposite. “You look at, since 2013 to today, what premium costs have done on the individual marketplace on the exchanges, it is a line like this. “Suffice it to say—as Democrats are now implicitly admitting—that Obamacare massively failed in its aims. “Democrats, of course, now want to put a Band-Aid on a gaping wound by extending the Biden COVID bonuses. “But, of course, extending those credits will do nothing to fix the underlying problem—which is that health care costs will continue to spiral under Obamacare. “Throwing $350 billion in taxpayer dollars at the problem in the form of enhanced tax credits will do nothing to stop Obamacare premiums from going up by double digits—because that is what they have been doing. “And it will do nothing to improve health care for the majority of Americans who are not on Obamacare health plans—like our seniors, our most vulnerable citizens, and those who get their coverage through their employer.  “Mr. President, while Democrats are, shall we say, shaky on the facts when it comes to their dramatic health care speeches—while Obamacare premiums are increasing, the median plan premium is not in fact going to double next year—it is absolutely true that Democrats have created real health care problems. “And as I’ve said more times than I can count, Republicans are ready and willing to have a discussion about those problems, and about how we lower costs for hardworking Americans. “We are, in fact, eager to have that discussion. “The president is willing to have Democrats over to discuss it next week—if they vote to reopen the government. “Because in the words of the Democrat leader back in 2013, we are not going to negotiate with a gun to our heads. “That’s what he said. “This is a serious matter. “And I know Democrats think you can solve any problem simply by throwing billions of taxpayer dollars at it. The record’s pretty clear on that. “But you can’t. “Genuine remedies for the problem of soaring health care costs are not going to be arrived at with a brief late-night session behind closed doors in the Democrat leader’s office. “We need extended, serious bipartisan work—with input from all senators. “And we need Democrats to reopen the government so that work can start. “Republicans are brimming over with health care ideas—from cost-sharing reductions to actually lower health plan costs, to association health plans, to ways to stop Obamacare’s spiral of enriching insurers at the expense of everyday Americans. “In fact, we already took steps to make health care more affordable and accessible when we passed the One Big, Beautiful Bill this summer, which expanded health savings accounts and telehealth for Americans—to say nothing of investing heavily in rural health care and ensuring that our health care entitlement programs are focused on those most in need.  “So, I say, we are looking forward to having a real discussion with Democrats. “But to quote another Democrat senator, the junior Democrat from Connecticut: ‘There is a time and a place to debate health care, just like there is a time and place to debate energy policy and immigration and education—but not when the funding of the federal government, and all the lives that are impacted by it, hang in the balance.’ “Mr. President, there are a lot of Americans suffering right now because of Democrats’ monthlong shutdown. “And the suffering increases every day. “It’s time—it’s past time—for Democrats to reopen the government. “And once they do, Republicans look forward to having some serious discussions about how to address rising health care costs and the failures of the Democrats’ signature health care law. “Mr. President, before I close, I’d like to mention a bill that Democrats are reportedly going to attempt to move by unanimous consent today. “And I would just say that, after a month of steadily increasing pain thanks to the Democrats’ shutdown, Democrats have apparently woken up to the fact that in three days—in three days—they’re going to be responsible for SNAP recipients starting to go without food stamps. “So what are Democrats doing? “Are they making plans to end their shutdown and reopen the government? “Nope. “They are going to propose a bill to fund food stamps during their shutdown. “That’s right. “Democrats don’t want the bad press of hungry Americans. “But they’re also apparently unwilling to even contemplate ending their monthlong shutdown. “So they’re trying to insulate themselves with this bill. “Mr. President, do you know what’s not in this bill? “Paychecks for our troops. “Paychecks for law enforcement officers and federal firefighters. “Paychecks for air traffic controllers. “Paychecks for other government workers. “Funding for rental and housing assistance. “Funding for small business loan programs. “Funding for farm loan programs. “Funding for tribal programs. “Funding for Head Start. “Funding for rural development programs. “Funding for National Guard training. “Funding for telehealth services. “Shall I go on? “Because I’m happy to. “Every one of those programs I’ve mentioned has either run out of money, is running out of money, or is otherwise in jeopardy because of the Democrats’ government shutdown. “And the Democrats’ bill would do nothing to support even one of those programs. “Thanks to Democrats, federal workers are lining up at food banks. “And Democrats’ bill is certainly not going to help them as they struggle to pay the rent. Or the electric bill. Or make their car payment. “Mr. President, enough is enough. “This bill is a cynical attempt to provide political cover for Democrats to allow them to carry on their government shutdown even longer. “And we’re not going to let them pick winners and losers. “It’s time to fund everybody. “And the bill sitting right there at the desk does that. “We just need five brave Democrats. “If Democrats really want to fund SNAP and WIC, we have a bill for them. “A clean, nonpartisan CR to fund SNAP, WIC, and the entire federal government. “Or we could pass the agriculture appropriations bill that Democrats have been resisting behind closed doors. “That would fund SNAP, WIC, and our farm and conservation programs. “Not to mention ensuring salaries for the people who inspect our food and support our farmers. “I’m happy to bring that up right now. “Mr. President, Democrats have spent a month—a month, now—playing with people’s livelihoods because the far-left wing of their party won’t let them accept a clean, nonpartisan CR. “Enough is enough. “We’re not giving Democrats political cover. “If they want to prevent damage from their shutdown, then they can end their shutdown. “The bill is right there at the desk. “And I will call a vote the minute Democrats tell me they have enough votes to fund the government. “The ball’s really in their court, Mr. President. “Is this what you want the American people to think? “That you’re willing to give them enormous amounts of pain and adverse consequence so that you can gain leverage—political leverage? “It’s time to end it, Mr. President.” We publish a variety of perspectives. CNN's Cornish: Why Did Kamala Media Strategy Fail Despite 'Wave of Intense Support?'

Remember that "wave of intense support" for Kamala Harris in the summer of 2024, stemming from her social media campaign using terms like "brat" and "coconut?" Me neither. But Audie Cornish does! On Wednesday's edition of CNN This Morning that she hosts, Cornish brought on Katie Drummond of the leftist magazine Wired to explain why Zohran Mamdani's social media campaign has been so successful. Cornish mentioned Drummond wrote a piece on Mamdani "The Internet's Mayor," and Drummond celebrated him for "a really, really good social strategy." So why did Kamala flop?  CORNISH: Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is, of course, a viral sensation. He's built his run on followers, likes, shares. The 34-year-old is a millennial, after all. We saw a similar strategy play out in last year's presidential election. Social media hype, however, didn't pay off come election day for Kamala Harris. When I look at Kamala Harris, and we think about Brat/Coconut Summer, there was this sense of like a wave of intense support, right? And attention. Why do you think that that didn't quite translate the same way? Drummond was at first stumped to explain Kamala's flop, saying "it's hard to tell." Her first try was to suggest that a federal election is a different "context." Whatever. Drummond eventually came up with something that made sense. She said that a "differentiator" between the two campaigns is that as lighthearted as some of Mamdani's social media has been, it was always tied to his campaign's substantive themes. "He's not just talking about coconuts, right? These are not just like memes and jokes." I'd say that, notwithstanding his disastrous policies, Mamdani comes across as genial, well-spoken, and reasonably authentic. Compare/contrast with strange, word-salad Kamala. Drummond proclaimed that Wired was totally behind her last November:  Donald Trump, the GOP, and the throng of conspiratorial, racist, dangerous enablers who surround them have completely lost touch of, putting this country’s future at great risk. In other words, we’re voting for Kamala Harris. The alternative is a future too abhorrent for even the most dystopian imaginations at WIRED to contemplate. Now, during that abhorrent future, we'll see how long the smile lasts once Mamdani, as is presumed, wins the election, and takes on the burdens of the office and the results of his socialist policies.  For example, Andrew Cuomo has said that Mamdani's promise to make bus fares free will turn buses into "mobile homeless shelters." As a Washington Post editorial graphically put it [emphasis added]: "Vagrants and drug addicts would camp out all day on New York’s buses, especially in the winter. Parents would grow afraid to let their children ride alone. Wealthier residents would find another way to get around, but poor New Yorkers who depend on the bus would suffer the most." Here's the transcript. CNN This Morning 10/29/25 6:28 am EDT AUDIE CORNISH: That mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani, is of course a viral sensation. Can he turn clicks into votes?  MAMDANI SUPPORTERS DANCING AND SINGING: The name is Mamdani. M-A-M-D-A-N-I.  CORNISH: So, he's built his run on followers, likes, shares. The 34-year-old is a millennial, after all.  We saw a similar strategy play out in last year's presidential election. Social media hype, however, didn't pay off come election day for Kamala Harris. But Mamdani tells Wired he's expecting a different outcome.  . . .  Now Wired calls him the internet's mayor, crediting his, quote, really, really good social strategy in making him a media machine. Joining me now to discuss, Katie Drummond, global editorial director at Wired. Katie, thanks for being with us this morning and bringing us that tape. You spoke with Mamdani. Can you talk, he is a community organizer. He has come up in organizing, so he understands retail politics. How has he turned the internet and social media into its own kind of retail politics?  KATIE DRUMMOND: Well, first of all, thank you for having me. And you know, that's exactly right. I think what Mamdani has done from the beginning is he has used these social platforms where he is able to amass enormous scale to connect directly with an electorate, right? To connect directly with different populations, to do it in a way that feels authentic to them, and to galvanize them from digital platforms into physical spaces.  So we see that, you know, with several initiatives that his campaign has undertaken. For example, they announced, you know, a scavenger hunt through New York on TikTok. They had 5,000 people turn up in the streets of New York to participate.  So he has really effectively been able to take his online reach and influence and translate that into physical, sort of feet on the ground New Yorkers, showing up for his campaign.  CORNISH: How does work for campaigns, though? When I look at Kamala Harris, and we think about brat/coconut summer, there was this sense of like a wave  intense support, right? And attention. Why do you think that that didn't quite translate the same way?  DRUMMOND: Well, you know, it's hard to tell. We were talking in that federal election about a vastly different context. But I think that one differentiator for Mamdani, and what he has online, is that, you know, he's not just talking about coconuts, right? These are not just like memes and jokes. He is using the platform, sometimes in a lighthearted way, but always to articulate his campaign priorities and to do that with very simple, clear language. And I think that that sort of differentiator gives substance to his approach to social media.

SHOCKER: Climate Nostradamus Bill Gates Calls Eco-Doomism ‘Wrong’

One of the most notorious billionaire pontificators on the climate change boondoggle just did an about-face and told the eco-extremists screeching Armageddon to take a chill pill. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates shocked the political sphere by completely skewering the leftist narrative that we’re all going to die from climate change in a few years in an October 28 blog post. Gates first outlined the doomist narrative: “‘In a few decades, cataclysmic climate change will decimate civilization. The evidence is all around us—just look at all the heat waves and storms caused by rising global temperatures. Nothing matters more than limiting the rise in temperature.” Then came the kicker: “Fortunately for all of us, this view is wrong. Although climate change will have serious consequences—particularly for people in the poorest countries—it will not lead to humanity’s demise.” Okay, who is this guy and what did he do with Bill Gates? “Unfortunately, the doomsday outlook is causing much of the climate community to focus too much on near-term emissions goals,” Gates wrote. He continued to stipulate that the alarmist movement at both the governmental and grassroots level is “diverting resources from the most effective things we should be doing to improve life in a warming world.”  Gates further caveated that “Although climate change will hurt poor people more than anyone else, for the vast majority of them it will not be the only or even the biggest threat to their lives and welfare.” Anyone reading Gates' comments would think this was an excerpt from one of Bjorn Lomborg’s books, not one of the premier icons of the whole push to decarbonize the world. What’s wild about this whole story is that this isn’t the first time Gates has pulled the rug right from underneath the climate alarmists’ feet. In 2022, Gates clapped back at the climate “moral crusade” of leftists who were trying to overhaul people’s lifestyles full stop. “Anyone who says that we will tell people to stop eating meat, or stop wanting to have a nice house, and we’ll just basically change human desires, I think that that’s too difficult,” Gates said during a Bloomberg Zero podcast. But he’s the same person who dropped a fortune trying to get the plebeians to eat synthetic meat! In February 2021, Gates told the MIT Technology Review that “all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef.”  Sheesh. This guy changes positions more than people do in their sleep.  Gates is literally the author of the alarmist book How to Avoid a Climate Disaster (2021). Just four years ago, Gates was backing a dystopian geoengineering venture to spray dust into the atmosphere to block the sun because, er, why not? He also was involved in directly pressuring then-Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) into supporting President Joe Biden’s outrageous climate bill in August 2022.  So is Gates truly red-pilled now or is something more nefarious afoot? Unfortunately, Gates’s dramatic shift on climate change leaves open many more questions than answers.

Former Guest of ‘The View’ Demands Dems ‘Get on Board’ With GOP Assassinations

It’s becoming increasingly clear that the political left in America were growing more emboldened and more overt in their lust for conservative blood. Leftist podcaster Jennifer Welch relished the politically motivated assassination of Charlie Kirk during the Monday edition of her I’ve Had It Podcast News (IHIPN) screed; and demanded Democrats to “get on board” or else they’d be targeted too. And Welsh wasn’t a no body, she and her co-host Angie “Pumps” Sullivan were featured as guests and lauded over by ABC News’s The View back in February. Welsh’s heinous comments came in reaction to a video from conservative YouTuber Kaitlin Bennett, where she interviewed a liberal extremist at a so-called “No Kings” protest who praised Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The extremist also told Bennett that she might want her dead as well (Click “expand”): FEMALE PROTESTER 1: [Inaudible] name was? KAITLIN BENNETT: Charlie Kirk, ma'am? FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yeah, hims [sic] horrible, horrible. BENNETT: Charlie Kirk is horrible? FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yes, I'm glad he's not here. BENNETT: You're glad he's dead? FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yes! BENNETT: Why would you say something like that, ma’am? FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Because he was horrible on the campuses, the college campuses, horrible person. BENNETT: You know what? I'd do the exact same thing. FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Well, I’m so sorry. BENNETT: Would you be glad if I would die? FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Maybe! I'd have to think about it. BENNETT: You should be ashamed of yourself. FEMALE PROTESTER 1: You should be ashamed of yourself! BENNETT: Your friend just said she'd be happy if I died. FEMALE PROTESTER 2: [Laughter] Following the clip, Welsh let out a hardy laugh and told Democrats they needed to support such actions because that’s where people like her were taking the party. And if not, they’d be targets too.     “So, listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this shit or we're coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA, period,” she declared. “Get your shit together, Hakeem and Chuck, seriously get your shit together because the Democratic Party is moving on. We are moving on.” Welsh went on to praise the leftist extremist in the video, saying, “that woman out in somewhere middle America saying fuck Charlie Kirk, he was a racist, he was a piece of shit. There are so many more of us than there are of them.” “Pray for this woman! Only someone miserable would project their misery onto others like this,” Bennett responded to Welsh’s video. Back on February 17, The View praised Welsh and her podcast as must-watch media. “I love it all because it's all so true, you know? Jennifer, it must feel really refreshing to say, I've Had It because I think a lot of us have had it. A lot of people agree with you obviously because listeners are listening in. Your podcast has been topping the charts,” touted co-host Sunny Hostin.     Welch described her podcast to the cast as “the counterprogramming to the toxic positivity culture because it's more realistic, and so that's what we offer our listeners, is just authentic trash talking.” She also told them that because she lived in deep red Oklahoma that she had to stand up for the “marginalized people” there. It’s another disturbing example of The View being a hub for leftists who promote political violence and the death of their political opponents. Leftist extremist Jane Fonda infamously offered “murder” as a solution to the existence of pro-lifers on the show. The cast and author John Grisham fantasized about killing Supreme Court justices. And the cast have increasingly engaged in inciting rhetoric against President Trump. The transcript is below. [Cuts to video] UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: [Inaudible] name was? KAITLIN BENNETT: Charlie Kirk, ma'am? UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yeah, hims [sic] horrible, horrible. BENNETT: Charlie Kirk is horrible? UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yes, I'm glad he's not here. BENNETT: You're glad he's dead? UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Yes! BENNETT: Why would you say something like that, ma’am? UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Because he was horrible on the campuses, the college campuses, horrible person. BENNETT: You know what? I'd do the exact same thing. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Well, I’m so sorry. BENNETT: Would you be glad if I would die? UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: Maybe! I'd have to think about it. BENNETT: You should be ashamed of yourself. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 1: You should be ashamed of yourself! BENNETT: Your friend just said she'd be happy if I died. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE PROTESTER 2: [Laughter] [Cuts back] WELSH: [Laughter] So, listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this shit or we're coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA, period. Stop taking AIPAC money! Go on an I'm-sorry-I-took-AIPAC-money atonement tour if you want to stay in power. Stop missing out on these big rallies. Hakeem and Chuck should have been front and center introducing the next mayor of New York City, but no, they wouldn't show up because they're pussies. They're pussies that are beholden to the same corporations that Donald Trump – that helped Donald Trump get elected, and this is just an embarrassment. Kudos to Bernie, to AOC, to Zoran, and that woman out in somewhere middle America saying fuck Charlie Kirk, he was a racist, he was a piece of shit. There are so many more of us than there are of them. And these Democrats that continue to play patty cake with corporations and lobbyists, nobody wants that. Nobody wants you. We want politicians to speak freely and look at what the benefit is. Look at what is happening in New York and you dipshits are sitting on the sidelines – doing running your social media like complete dorks. It's embarrassing. Get your shit together, Hakeem and Chuck, seriously get your shit together because the Democratic Party is moving on. We are moving on. We maybe you call us Democrats, maybe not, but I'm telling you all across the United States of America, people no longer want politicians that are beholden to corporations and we want to stand up for the marginalized, we want to stand up for wages, we want to stand up for workers, we want to stand up for multiculturalism because it is the very best thing. The very best thing that the United States has to offer. Alright, please subscribe to our channel, like this video, engage in the algorithm, and I'll be back later with more news.

Federal judge wildly oversteps her bounds with Border Patrol commander in Chicago

A federal judge has ordered Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino to wear a body camera while conducting operations by Friday and to personally see her every day to provide updates on the arrests of illegal aliens in the Chicago area.Tuesday's decision by Judge Sara Ellis was in response to supposed violations of a restraining order on the use of tear gas. Tear gas had to be deployed during Border Patrol operations in recent weeks because crowds of locals became violent with agents.'The executive power belongs to the president of the United States — not to Article III judges.'The Department of Homeland Security released footage, taken from body cameras and from drones, showing that when agents were in the Little Village neighborhood, some in the crowd attacked vehicles or threw objects at federal law enforcement. Ellis said she did not see agents giving the required two warnings before using crowd-control measures like tear gas.Chicago-area activists have increasingly become more violent in their attempts to stop federal operations. Riots have taken place outside the processing facility in the village of Broadview, and personal vehicles have been used to ram federal vehicles. With this ruling, Ellis appears to be in line with other federal judges exceeding their authority to stifle the Trump administration's progress toward its goals. "This ruling is ridiculous because it entails a district court judge becoming the supervisor of a senior DHS official on her own initiative. The executive power belongs to the president of the United States — not to Article III judges. Judges have the right to issue lawful injunctions; they do not have the right to micromanage law enforcement," Will Chamberlain, senior counsel to the Article III Project, told Blaze News.RELATED: ICE agents fear for their safety after security fence removed at Chicago-area facility amid sometimes violent protests ICE agents fear for their safety after security fence was removed at a Chicago-area facility amid sometimes violent protests. Julio Rosas/Blaze News Chamberlain further called for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals to "put a stop to this immediately," claiming Ellis' ruling is a "massive separation of powers violation."For his part, Bovino told Fox News on Wednesday that Operation Midway Blitz will continue despite the roadblocks being thrown up by the judiciary. "We're going to go out there. We're gonna accomplish the mission. We're closing in on 3,000 apprehensions as we speak. ... We're even going to go even harder, and I'm not worried about it all," Bovino explained.Like Blaze News? Exclusive: ICE busts pedophile, abuser, and fentanyl trafficker despite ongoing shutdown

The government shutdown has not hindered the Trump administration's federal agents from continuing nationwide immigration enforcement.‘Nothing will slow us down from making America safe again — not even a government shutdown.’On Tuesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested more of the “worst of the worst” criminal illegal aliens, including pedophiles, abusers, and drug traffickers, according to a Department of Homeland Security press release exclusively obtained by Blaze News.“The Democrats’ government shutdown will not stop DHS law enforcement from arresting and removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from American communities. Just yesterday, ICE arrested pedophiles, abusers, violent assailants, and drug traffickers from America’s streets,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated. “Nothing will slow us down from making America safe again — not even a government shutdown," McLaughlin added. The DHS highlighted five of those arrests. Elroy Smith, a Jamaican national, was previously convicted in Philadelphia of unlawful contact with a minor — sexual offenses and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old.
