Fed Chair Jerome Powell Again Refuses To Cut Rates, Ignores President Trump

The head of the central bank, the Federal Reserve, is keeping interest rates at 4.25% to 4.5% This is to the shock of many. But seeing as Jerome Powell is anti-Trump, a lot of us had a feeling that the Federal Reserve Chair would pull something like this. The head of the central bank fighting for bankers instead of Americans? What a shock! JUST IN: Fed Chair Jerome Powell defies President Trump, and leaves interest rates unchanged. This is a win for loan institutions, and a loss for the American people. It’s time for Powell to go. pic.twitter.com/1PuWn1Go9R — DK (@1Nicdar) June 18, 2025 Reuters reports: The U.S. central bank held interest rates steady on Wednesday and policymakers signaled borrowing costs are still likely to fall in 2025, but Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell cautioned against putting too much weight on that view, and said he expects “meaningful” inflation ahead as consumers pay more for goods due to the Trump administration’s planned import tariffs. “No one holds these … rate paths with a great deal of conviction, and everyone would agree that they’re all going to be data-dependent,” Powell said in a press conference after the end of a two-day U.S. central bank meeting where policymakers slowed their overall outlook for rate cuts in response to a more challenging outlook of weaker economic growth, rising joblessness, and faster price increases. If not for tariffs, Powell said, rate cuts might actually be in order, given that recent inflation readings have been favorably low. But a cost shock is coming, he insisted, with producers, manufacturers and retailers still involved in a complicated struggle over who will pay the levies imposed so far, and President Donald Trump still contemplating an aggressive set of import duties that could go into effect early next month. “Everyone that I know is forecasting a meaningful increase in inflation in coming months from tariffs, because someone has to pay for the tariffs … between the manufacturer, the exporter, the importer, the retailer,” Powell said. “People will be trying not to be the ones who can pick up the cost. Ultimately, the cost of the tariff has to be paid, and some of it will fall on the end consumer.” “We’ll make smarter and better decisions if we just wait a couple of months or however long it takes to get a sense of really what is going to be the pass-through of inflation” from the higher import taxes, Powell said. In new economic projections released alongside the Fed’s statement, policymakers sketched a modestly stagflationary picture of the economy, with growth in 2025 slowing to 1.4%, unemployment rising to 4.5%, and inflation ending the year at 3%, well above the current level. While policymakers still anticipate cutting rates by half a percentage point this year, as they projected in March and December, they slightly slowed the pace from there to a single quarter-percentage-point cut in each of 2026 and 2027 in a protracted fight to return inflation to their 2% target. And there was a split among the 19 policymakers, with seven of them feeling no rate cuts will be needed. That diversity of views reflects that while uncertainty over Trump’s tariff policy is down from its peak in April, it’s still “a very foggy time,” Powell said, adding that policymakers may have divergent assessments of the risk that inflation could stay persistently higher, or that the labor market could weaken. Here’s President Trump calling out Powell: President Trump rips Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell: “We have a stupid person, frankly at the Fed…He’s a political guy who’s not a smart guy, but he’s costing the country a fortune….I would’ve never reappointed him, Biden reappointed him.” pic.twitter.com/6b46voNIyx — Julia (@Jules31415) June 18, 2025 “End the Fed” isn’t just a fun phrase. It’s breaking our chains to the endless usury slave system that is the Federal Reserve. Freedom or Federal Reserve. You can NOT have both. Of course the biased Fed & their Never Trump Chairman Jerome Powell paused again on any Interest Rate cuts This graphic alone tells us he/they were rooting hard for Democrats to take the White House & both houses of Congress last Nov Now we’re more vulnerable & less competitive pic.twitter.com/Lm4tfEBvLG — Bill Peguillan (@BillPegs) June 18, 2025

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Describes His “Fight” With Elon Musk

Two weeks ago, it was rumored that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Elon Musk’s feud got so heated it led to a physical altercation. The rumors that Bessent and Musk got into a physical altercation stemmed from Steve Bannon. Watch here: BANNON: Musk’s fraudulent promise led to a physical altercation with Sec Bessent. That day people thought Musk might’ve been on drugs. Scott called him a fraud, said he promised trillions and delivered nothing. Musk didn’t like it. Trump gave him every shot. It ended in a fiasco. pic.twitter.com/ou71BUA2ka — Bannon’s WarRoom (@Bannons_WarRoom) June 7, 2025 Now Bessent has addressed those claims. In his latest interview, Bessent downplayed his alleged physical altercation with Musk and instead described himself as a “ninja” and Musk as a “Viking.” The Hill had more on the story: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent downplayed his reported feud with tech billionaire Elon Musk in a new interview, arguing that the two men merely have different operating styles. “We have had disagreements, but we both want to get to the same place,” Bessent told New York Post columnist Miranda Devine in an episode of her “Pod Force One” podcast released Wednesday. “We both want to eliminate the waste, fraud and abuse in government.” The Treasury secretary compared his view of Musk as embodying Silicon Valley’s “move fast, break things” mindset versus his own self-described deliberate “fix things” approach. “I think Elon probably fancies himself more of a Viking; I think I’m more of a ninja,” Bessent said. After Musk’s dramatic and public fallout with President Trump earlier this month, longtime Trump ally Steve Bannon told The Washington Post that the Tesla CEO and president had a heated exchange that led to a physical altercation, which the White House denied. “Look, everybody’s very passionate about doing the best job for President Trump and the American people,” Bessent told Devine. Bannon claimed that the Treasury chief called Musk “a total fraud” in a heated confrontation about the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) efforts to cut government spending, which Bessent also denied — even as the South Carolina native took an apparent swipe at South African-born Musk during a recent congressional hearing. “I’ll take South Carolina over South Africa any day,” Bessent told lawmakers who prodded him about the reported clash. Watch Bessent here: .@SecScottBessent downplayed his beef with Elon Musk as a stylistic polarity. Bessent described himself to @mirandadevine on “Pod Force One” as a nimble ninja-like operative while Musk “fancies himself more of a Viking” who moves fast and breaks things. https://t.co/H38pmjvhiZ pic.twitter.com/3nnlFnleHW — New York Post (@nypost) June 18, 2025 The Times of Israel had more details to share on the rumored fight: As Elon Musk’s tenure as a senior US government official was reaching its end in April, the billionaire reportedly had a physical altercation with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent that required intervention. According to The Washington Post, following a meeting between the two and US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office in mid-April in which each official advocated for his preference for acting IRS commissioner, an argument broke out between the two in the hallway, during which they hurled insults at one another. The report said that, according to Trump’s far-right ally Steve Bannon, Bessent called Musk “a fraud” because the tech mogul did not uncover $1 trillion in wasteful and fraudulent government spending as he claimed he would in his capacity as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an agency created especially for Musk after Trump returned to power in January. Musk then thrust his shoulder into Bessent, Bannon said in an interview, “like a rugby player.” Bessent struck Musk back in response, the report said, and multiple people had to break up the two men. “President Trump heard about it and said, ‘This is too much,’” Bannon was quoted as saying, indicating that the brawl led to Musk’s departure from the White House at the end of May.

Popular American Candy Deemed Unsafe To Eat Due To Chemicals

Have you ever had a Jolly Rancher? As a kid, my 4th grade teacher would reward us with them if we behaved in class. As an adult, I have avoided the popular candy, and I’m glad I have because Jolly Ranchers have just been deemed unsafe to eat due to the chemicals they contain. The advisory did not come from the United States, but from the United Kingdom’s Standard Agency. Fox News had the full scoop and gave the details on the chemical composition of the rancher that has regulators concerned: One of America’s favorite candies has been shunned by authorities in the United Kingdom, who claim it is “unsafe to eat.” The U.K.’s Food Standards Agency (FSA) announced a stern advisory against Jolly Rancher candies on June 11. The alert applies to all Jolly Rancher hard candies, as well as Jolly Rancher Misfits, Jolly Rancher Fruity 2 in 1s and Jolly Rancher Berry Gummies. The reason, the FSA claims, is that the candies contain “Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons (MOAH) and Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons (MOSH).” The agency said the hydrocarbons make the candies “unsafe to eat and not compliant with U.K. laws.” Some Jolly Rancher sweets unsafe to eat, FSA says https://t.co/oUTVaIWAaP — BBC News (UK) (@BBCNews) June 12, 2025 The United Kingdom is not the only country cracking down on big food corporations putting chemicals in food. Under the leadership of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the HHS is also stepping up to defend Americans’ health. A recent report revealed that, after receiving pressure from the HHS, Heinz has announced it will eliminate all the chemical dyes it uses in its products. BREAKING: Kraft Heinz to eliminate all chemical dyes in its products over the next 2 years. pic.twitter.com/DLv0AJRCPP — Leading Report (@LeadingReport) June 17, 2025 CBS had more on the story: Kraft Heinz will remove artificial dyes from its products sold in the U.S. by the end of 2027, the company announced Tuesday. The multinational food company also said it will stop making new products that contain these dyes, effective immediately. Kraft Heinz, the manufacturer of foods such as Jell-O, Capri Sun and Kool-Aid, said in an online statement that 10% of its products contain the dyes and that it has invested in removing the colors or replacing them with natural colors. Kraft Heinz replaced artificial dyes in its Kraft Mac & Cheese product in 2016, while some other products, including Heinz Tomato Ketchup, have never had dyes, the company said. Kraft Heinz’s announcement comes amid a push from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to root out artificial dyes from the nation’s food supply and instead replace them with natural dyes. “The vast majority of our products use natural or no colors, and we’ve been on a journey to reduce our use of FD&C (Food, Drug & Cosmetic) colors across the remainder of our portfolio,” said Pedro Navio, North America president at Kraft Heinz in the company’s statement. Over 200 brands are manufactured by Kraft Heinz, which is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

President Trump Reveals Tucker Carlson Apologized To Him

President Trump Reveals Tucker Carlson Apologized To Him

I’m glad this feud was ended quickly! President Trump has revealed that Tucker Carlson called him to apologize. Tucker’s apology comes after the former Fox News host claimed in a recent newsletter that President Trump has abandoned his America First principles and is “complicit in war.” Tucker Carlson: Trump ‘complicit’ in act of war; U.S. should ‘drop Israel’ — NewsWire (@NewsWire_US) June 13, 2025 In response to Tucker’s remarks, Trump stated that Tucker should get on a network if he wants to be heard. Watch here: Reporter: How did you respond to @TuckerCarlson criticizing you, saying that you were complicit in the war? Trump: I don’t know what Tucker Carlson is saying. Let him go get a television network and say it so people actually listen. pic.twitter.com/zouE5eHAdw — Grace Chong, MBI (@gc22gc) June 16, 2025   Trump proceeded to call Tucker “Kooky.” “Kooky Tucker Carlson” pic.twitter.com/tR9HnIHpa5 — Republicans against Trump (@RpsAgainstTrump) June 16, 2025   However, the two have put their disagreements aside and appear to be on each other’s good side once again. Deadline had more on the story: Donald Trump told reporters that Tucker Carlson “called and apologized” to him amid a split on the right over U.S. involvement in Israel’s strikes on Iran. Carlson, though, has continued to warn about the United States getting into a war in the region, and posted a video on Tuesday night in which he grilled Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) about his lack of basic knowledge about Iran. “Tucker is a nice guy,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday. “He called an apologized the other day because he though he said thngs that were a little bit too strong, and I appreciated that.” Last week, Carlson wrote of the U.S. being “complicit” in Israel’s airstrikes on Iran so far, and that he could not think of a “single way this helps the United States.” Trump later took a swipe at Carlson, calling him “kooky” and, “Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen.” Carlson’s comments underscore the split among Trump’s supporters over U.S. involvement. Figures like Cruz and Mark Levin have emphasized the need to support Israel; Carlson, Charlie Kirk and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) have been critical of the U.S. being involved in such a foreign conflict. Trump said that he has not yet made a decision, but insisted “my supporters are for me. My supporters are America First and Make America Great Again. My supporters don’t want to see Iran have a nuclear weapon.” Here’s the moment Trump revealed Tucker apologized to him: BREAKING: Trump says that Tucker Carlson called and made amends with him after saying harsh things about him. “Tucker is a nice guy. He apologized the other day because he said things that were too strong and I appreciated that.” Panicans are in shambles yet again. pic.twitter.com/gNtev98zFj — Gunther Eagleman (@GuntherEagleman) June 18, 2025

Two Food Giants Finally Pledge To Remove Artificial Dyes

Two Food Giants Finally Pledge To Remove Artificial Dyes

We have General Mills making headlines, stating they’re going to remove artificial dyes. Curious thing, it comes the same day as Heinz making the same announcement. (What are the chances? Did the CEOs have a chat and plan this?) The plan for General Mills is to have it out of all their food in 2 & 1/2 years. Great start! But if they think we’re gonna stop there, they’re wrong. A lot of our food has already been sprayed with poisonous pesticide while it was growing in the fields, whether it has color added to it or not. There needs to be a mandate for companies to use only organic ingredients, like mankind has had for ages before Big Chemical, like RoundUp (Monsanto) showed up. Make food organic again. JUST IN: General Mills announces they will be removing artificial colors from their ENTIRE U.S. product line, following RFK Jr’s directives This comes just HOURS after Kraft Heinz announced they’d also be removing theirs. MAHA is spreading QUICKLY! pic.twitter.com/0ePARuBLw1 — Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) June 18, 2025 Fox News reports: General Mills is the latest U.S. food giant pledging to remove FD&C artificial dyes from its portfolio of products within the next two years amid calls from the Trump administration to eliminate artificial colors from the nation’s food supply. For its part, the Minnesota-based food giant said it plans to remove artificial colors from all its U.S. cereals and all K-12 school foods by the summer of 2026. It will simultaneously work to remove the colors from its full U.S. retail portfolio by the end of 2027. The company said the change, however, will only impact a small portion of its General Mills’ K-12 school portfolio, given that most of its school offerings today are made without certified colors. Additionally, General Mills said 85% of its U.S. retail portfolio is currently made without color additives. “Today, the vast majority of our foods are made without certified colors and we’re working to ensure that will soon apply to our full portfolio,” CEO Jeff Harmening said in a statement. General Mills announced its plans the same day Kraft Heinz issued its own commitment to remove all artificial dyes from its U.S. portfolio by the end of 2027. Both companies followed McCormick, which already told analysts during its earnings call in March that it has been working with restaurants and foodmakers to reformulate products to remove certain ingredients like food dyes. The artifical dyes are commonly known as FD&C colors, and labeled as such on packages, because the color additive is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in food, drugs, and cosmetics and are subject to a strict system of approval under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). BREAKING: General Mills agrees to remove artificial dyes from its products following my investigation into the company for deceptively marketing its cereals that contain petroleum-based food colorings. This is an incredible win for the health of our children and all Americans. pic.twitter.com/d2fZq0d2Gl — Attorney General Ken Paxton (@KenPaxtonTX) June 18, 2025 Remember, in Europe they only have 400 ingredients. In America, we have 10,000, thanks to chemicals. NEW: RFK Jr. just exposed how the food industry hijacked an old FDA loophole—flooding our food with chemicals that were never safety tested. It started in the 1940s, when the FDA began regulating food for the first time. They made one key exception: ingredients that had been… pic.twitter.com/9pFOJg4HL5 — The Vigilant Fox (@VigilantFox) May 7, 2025 And Monsanto is pushing back against people noticing that glyphosate is most likely the reason people are “allergic” to certain foods. LOL!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/HrETdV1OCq — Aeron (@FYourVaccines) May 16, 2025 Instead of bailouts and legal shields for Bayer and Monsanto, the letter calls for a different path. Restore funding for the National Organic Program. Expand regenerative farming research. Protect soil health programs. Support farmers transitioning off chemicals. That’s how… pic.twitter.com/PywwA5RKgR — MAHA PAC (@MAHA_PAC) June 17, 2025

President Trump: “We’re Not Looking For A Long-Term War, I Only Want One Thing…”

President Trump has quelled the rumors that the United States is about to get into a long-term war with Iran. While speaking to the press, the 47th President was told by a reporter that the MAGA base is afraid the United States is about to get into a long-term war with Iran. President Trump, in response, quickly assured the reporter and his supporters that the United States would not be getting into a long-term war with Iran. However, the 47th President noted that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. MSN had more details to report: President Donald Trump downplayed any divisions within the MAGA movement over potential U.S. strikes on Iran. Opponents of U.S. involvement in Israel’s strikes on Iran say it cuts against Trump’s “America First” philosophy, and that time and money should be focused on domestic priorities instead of bogging America down in more foreign wars. But advocates say eradicating the Iranian nuclear threat and weakening the regime is in America’s national interests because Tehran is a significant destabilizing force in the Middle East, where the United States has key allies and partners, such as Israel and Qatar. Trump told reporters on Wednesday morning that “we’re not looking for long-term war.” “I only want one thing. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. I’m not looking long-term, short-term,” Trump said. “So I may have some people that are a little bit unhappy now, but I have some people that are very happy, and I have some people outside of the base that can’t believe this is happening, they’re so happy.” Trump said he has been consistent in his message on Iran for 20 years. Watch Trump here: .@POTUS: “We’re not looking for long-term war. I only want one thing — Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That’s it.” pic.twitter.com/8gl7Wp2NBy — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) June 18, 2025   Trump’s statement came fore he told a reporter he may or may not issue airstrikes on Iran. Watch here: President Trump on possible Iran strikes: “I may do it. I may not do it.” pic.twitter.com/s3fmSqhZLe — The American Conservative (@amconmag) June 18, 2025 Per The Independent: Donald Trump has declined to answer questions over whether he will bomb Iran, saying he “may do it”. Speaking to reporters from the White House lawn, Trump said Iran has “got a lot of trouble” and signalled that he was open to joining Israel in its aerial campaign against Tehran. “I may do it, I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do. I can tell you this, that Iran’s got a lot of trouble,” he said. Earlier, Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei warned there would be “serious, irreparable consequences” if the US joined Israel in its bombing campaign. The religious leader issued the warning in a public, televised address on Wednesday morning, adding that Iran will not be forced to surrender. Israel and Iran have exchanged missile attacks for nearly a week after tensions escalated last Friday. Hundreds of people have died in Iran and dozens in Israel as a result.
