Reba Jokes With Dolly Parton About Health Rumors: “AI Mess Has Got Us Doing All Kinds Of Crazy Things”

Cracking jokes and wishing her well. Over the last few weeks, Dolly Parton has had fans worried sick about her after she had to postpone and miss a few events due to health issues. Late last month, Dolly Parton announced that she would be postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to unspecified “health challenges.” She also had to miss a previously scheduled appearance at Dollywood to announce her new Night Flight Expedition ride due to kidney stones. However, it’s unclear if any of this is related. While most fans were praying for a speedy recovery from whatever she was dealing with, when her younger sister, Freida, posted that she was up all night praying for Dolly’s health and urged fans to pray as well, the panic set in among country music fans, and beyond that, Dolly Parton was genuinely sick. “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!” After Freida’s comments became a huge story, she took to Facebook once again to clarify her previous statement, saying she didn’t want to “scare anyone or make it sound so serious,” but she believes in the power of prayer, and since Dolly has been feeling under the weather, she wants to help her in any way she can. Soon after Freida’s post, Dolly’s other sister, Stella, then chimed in, sharing that she was offended that some fans want her to be their “personal information center,” and that Dolly would speak when she was ready. Stella is often outspoken online, especially when it comes to protecting Dolly, so fans were met with some harsh words from the southern belle. To those with genuine concern for my big sister Dolly’s well being, she posted a video last week to share with her fans that she has had kidney stones and is getting treatment. My sister Freida is always concerned when one of her siblings isn’t feeling well so she ask for… — Stella Parton (@StellaParton) October 8, 2025 I suppose all the hoopla surrounding her sisters speaking out has prompted Dolly herself to share with fans what has been going on. Dolly Parton has entered the chat and is setting the record straight that she “ain’t dead yet!” In a social media post, Parton explains that she’s far from being bedridden with illness, but needs to be closer to home for doctor’s appointments, leading her to postpone shows and miss appearances. “I want to say something! Well, today’s October 8th, and obviously I’m here, doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is why I’m dressed kind of like a country western girl! But before I got started, I wanted to say lately, I know everybody thinks that I’m sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here! Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those who seemed to be real concerned —which I appreciate. And I appreciate your prayers because I’m a person of faith, I can always use the prayers for anything and everything. But I wanted you to know that I’m okay. I’ve got some problems, as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself. So I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of. So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this, we need to take care of that.’ Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things to be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, where I’m kind of having a few treatments here and there.” In typical Dolly Parton fashion, she had to interject some humor into the announcement. She brought up some hilarious AI-generated images circulating on social media, showing her lying ill with Reba by her side. “But I wanted to you to know that I’m not dying. Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me? Oh Lordy! I mean, they had Reba at my deathbed, and we both look like we need to be buried. And I thought, ‘Oh my Lord!’ But if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier, but anyway… There’s just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay. So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say. I’m not ready to die yet! I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring, and keep praying for me.” I ain’t dead yet! pic.twitter.com/Mp553laadI — Dolly Parton (@DollyParton) October 8, 2025 Dolly took no time setting the record straight, which put fans’ minds at ease that she’s perfectly fine, just taking care of some health things that she put on the back burner during a hard point in her life. I mean, I get it- I’ve been putting off a physical for a hot minute now. Sometimes life gets in the way. After Dolly’s post, clearing up any rumors, her friend Reba McEntire saw the post and responded, calling out the AI headlines that Dolly referenced in her post: “You tell ’em, Dolly. That AI mess has got us doing all kinds of crazy things. You’re out here dying, I’m out here having a baby. Well, both of us know you’re too young and I’m too old for any of that kind of nonsense.” Reba’s not wrong. The AI headlines surrounding her and Dolly Parton have been out of control these days. From the One Last Ride tour, allegedly scheduled for 2026, to them performing at Anne Burrell’s funeral, these two have been out and about doing all sorts of things together in the AI universe. Reba ended the post wishing her friend well, noting that she, too, would be praying for her health and that she can’t wait to see her soon. “But you better know I’m praying for you. I love you with all my heart, and I can’t wait to see you soon. Love you!” If Reba and Dolly are telling you to stop falling for the AI slop headlines… this is your sign to stop engaging with them. Saquon Barkley Says The Philadelphia Eagles Only Listen To Country Music In The Locker Room On “White Boy Wednesdays”

Hey, it’s better than nothing. The Philadelphia Eagles are favorites to make the Super Bowl once again, despite a brutal (and somewhat surprising) loss to the Denver Broncos last weekend. The reigning champs are 4-1 despite a somewhat slow start from superstar running back Saquon Barkley, at least compared to the career-best season he had last year. Barkley, who has three touchdowns and only 267 rushing yards so far this season, recently stopped by the Track Star podcast where he gave some insight into the Eagles locker room – including the kind of music they listen to. As it turns out, they actually throw some country in the mix sometimes too…but only on one particular day of the week. The RB was asked who controls the aux cord in the locker room: “It literally changes. In the weight room, we literally fight. We have guys fight over it. We do have Wednesday. Wednesday’s white boy Wednesday. So we get our chance to get our country music in there a little bit.” You love to see that they’re throwing some country music in there every once in a while. But when asked who his favorite country artist is, Barkley didn’t hesitate: “Morgan Wallen. I really haven’t got into the new album, but all my friends said it’s nice.” Barkley was then played a snippet of “Number 3 & Number 7,” Morgan’s duet with Eric Church from his latest album I’m The Problem, and he confirmed that he’s familiar not only with that song but also with “Man Made A Bar,” Morgan’s duet with Church from his last album. Saquon says he hasn’t yet been to a Morgan Wallen concert, which is kind of surprising considering Morgan played at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, last year on his One Night At A Time Tour. You would have thought that Saquon would have been an easy choice to have join him for the walk out. Morgan didn’t have any guests with him that night, and he doesn’t have any more shows currently on his schedule, but you gotta think Saquon will get the invite the next time he plays in Philly. Especially if the show falls on White Boy Wednesday. Morgan Jams To His Own Music In Police Car After Being Arrested Imagine hearing your own song on the radio in the back of a police car. By now we all know what happened with Morgan Wallen’s infamous chair throwing incident that occurred at Eric Church’s downtown Nashville bar, Chief’s, last year. The country music superstar was arrested and charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off the roof of the building, and later pled guilty to misdemeanor reckless endangerment in Davidson County court in December of last year. Morgan was ultimately sentenced to two years of probation and seven days in jail, to be served at a DUI education center. Luckily nobody was injured in the incident, and there’s no doubt Morgan wants to put the entire thing behind him. But unfortunately, bodycam video from the arrest was released recently that once again has Morgan and his chair throwing arrest in the headlines. In the video, obtained by the AP from the Metro Nashville Police Department, both Morgan and his bodyguard can be heard denying that he threw the chair from the roof: “I ain’t done nothing wrong.” He also could be heard on the video calling his buddy, and the owner of the bar, Eric Church to let him know what was going on: “Hey, these motherf–kers are trying to take me, they’re trying to take me to jail outside of your f–king bar.” Church can’t be heard on the recording, but I imagine his next question was something like, “Who?” because Morgan then replied: “The cops. I’m not sure… They’re trying to. They won’t let me leave.” But unfortunately for Morgan, officers were able to determine after watching the security camera footage that he was in fact the suspect behind the flying chair, and the country superstar was cuffed and placed in the back of the cruiser. In dashcam footage, Morgan seemed to be in decent spirits (probably thanks to some spirits…) all things considered as he was being driven to the jail, with the officer even telling the country star that he was one of their favorite artists. And as his government Uber driver took Morgan to the clink, one of the singer’s own songs came up on the cop’s Spotify playlist – which clearly excited Morgan: “Oh sh-t this is me and Thomas Rhett! Turn it up! That’s me and TR! That’s me right there. Come on now, me and TR.” It’s a little hard to hear, but apparently the song playing was “Mamaw’s House,” Morgan’s 2023 duet with his friend Thomas Rhett. And Morgan had high praise for his duet partner: “TR is one of the best. He’s one of the best dudes in the world. He would DEFINITELY not be getting arrested.” At least he had some good music to listen to on the way to jail. Eric Church On Morgan Wallen’s Arrest Church has served as a mentor of sorts to Wallen throughout his career, and the two even recently teamed up to buy the iconic outdoors brand Field & Stream. And during an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Church recalled hearing about the chair incident for the first time – while Morgan was still standing outside of his bar: “Morgan called me from the street after it happened. I was watching college basketball, and he said, “Hey, this just happened.” I said, “Uh-oh.” I knew it was gonna be noisy, and it was — it was d–n noisy.” Just a little bit. I know on our end it was one of the biggest stories that we posted all year, and it was something not only all over the news but all over social media with memes and jokes. Pretty noisy. But Church says he thinks the incident was a learning moment for Morgan, one that he’s grown from in the year since it happened: “It was actually a good thing for Mo. I think that was a line for him, and he’s done really well since then — it was a thing he’s reacted positively to as a person. I used the old Billy Joe Shaver line on him: “I’m just an old chunk of coal, but I’ll be a diamond one day.” He went down [to Chief’s] and apologized to the staff, shook everybody’s hand. I was proud of him.” Good on him. As for Morgan, he recently revealed during a conversation with Theo Von that his fateful trip to Chief’s was the last time he’s been in a bar: “It’s definitely the best thing for me, you know… I ain’t been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about. The most public time I was in a bar, that’s the last time I was in a bar.” Smart. Definitely smart. The post Saquon Barkley Says The Philadelphia Eagles Only Listen To Country Music In The Locker Room On “White Boy Wednesdays” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
