Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard will moderate a town hall featuring former President Donald Trump in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Thursday.  Trump is scheduled to appear at the town hall at the La Crosse Center at 6:00 p.m. local time as part of a campaign swing through Midwest battleground states. The event comes just days after Gabbard formally endorsed Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, who she ran against for the Democratic nomination in 2020. On Monday, Gabbard appeared with Trump at a campaign event in Detroit, where she urged Americans to back his candidacy.  “I am proud to stand here before you today, whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or an independent, if you love our country as I do, if you cherish peace and freedom as we do, I invite you to join me in doing all we can to save our country and elect President Donald J. Trump will reportedly speak on his economic policies, focusing on inflation and manufacturing at the Alro Steel factory. “Alro Steel was approached by the Trump campaign to hold this press conference and agreed to the event to support manufacturing,” Alro Steel Business Development and Marketing Vice President Brian Glick told local outlet WILX. “We recognize the critical importance of manufacturing growth in the State of Michigan and this country.” Both Wisconsin and Michigan are expected to be states that could determine the outcome of the 2024 election. Trump narrowly won both during his 2016 campaign, breaking through the Democrats’ “blue wall.” According to an average of polls in the battleground states, Harris currently maintains a 2.2-point average lead in Michigan and a 1-point lead in Wisconsin.

Set to air at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, the CNN sit-down will be Harris’ first major interview since President Joe Biden dropped out of the White House race last month. Harris is expected to appear with her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. “Dana Bash of CNN has a chance at greatness today. If she gave a fair but tough interview of Comrade Kamala Harris, she will expose her as being totally inept and ill suited for the job of President, much as I exposed Crooked Joe Biden during our now famous Debate. After Biden’s fumbling performance sparked a crisis of confidence among his allies, he stepped aside under pressure, and Harris took the top spot on the Democratic Party’s ticket. “Also, the interview should not have Tampon Tim present to help with the inevitable Kamala stumbles,” Trump continued, “and under no circumstances should the transcript be allowed to be changed in any way, shape, or form.” Trump was knocking Harris for largely sticking to scripted remarks and short interactions with the media over the course of her nascent campaign. “Tampon Tim” is a nickname that has been attached to Walz because, in 2023, he signed into law a measure requiring free menstrual products in all Minnesota public school bathrooms. “Dana and Jake were fair, but firm, in my CNN Debate with Crooked Joe. More than 20 illegal immigrants in southern California attempted to board school buses on two separate occasions as the buses were on routes transporting children, school district officials said. Two bus routes in the Jamul-Dulzura Union School District were interrupted by groups of illegal immigrants earlier this week, forcing the school district to warn parents to “stay [vigilant],” Fox 5 San Diego reported. The first incident happened on Tuesday afternoon and involved three men walking in the middle of the road and trying to get the school bus filled with children to stop. Superintendent Liz Bystedt said that the bus had to “go around” the group to continue on its route. On Wednesday, another bus stopped at a designated pick-up spot near where the bus from Tuesday was forced to drive around illegal immigrants and was met with a group of 20 illegal immigrants who attempted to board the bus. Bystedt said that parents who were at the bus stop waiting with their children ensured that the kids made it onto the bus safely and that no illegal immigrants boarded. The superintendent said that the district reported both bus incidents to the U.S. Border Patrol, California Highway Patrol, and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, according to Fox 5. “The San Diego Sheriff’s Office was made aware of this incident today. We are conducting a follow up investigation to determine if a criminal act has occurred. The Sheriff’s Office takes issues regarding student safety very seriously and are working with the school district in order to keep the students and our community safe,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Jamul is just 25 miles from the Mexican border city of Tijuana. The San Diego sector has been a hot spot for illegal border crossing this year, with more than 37,000 arrests made by the U.S. Border Patrol in the area in April, the Associated Press reported. Exploring museums with centuries old artifacts can be tons of fun — but it can also be dangerous. That’s something a family recently learned after a visit to the Hecht Museum, located at the University of Haifa in Israel. Here, many of the artifacts on display are not sealed behind glass. So, when a little boy gets curious about some jars he spots, he decides to get a closer look. As a result, the boy accidentally smashes one of the jars! These jars date back to the Middle Bronze Age. That makes them at least 3,500 years old, according to the museum. It’s believed they were used as a way to store and transport supplies like wine and olive oil. Although they’re empty now, the 4-year-old boy’s curiosity came from wanting to know what was inside. Needless to say, both the boy and his dad were shocked by what happened. Facebook It was clear that the 4-year-old, who “pulled the jar slightly,” did not intend to break it. This is something his dad, Alex, made clear when alerting museum staff about what had happened. There’s no doubt that this moment was stressful — Alex had no idea how the museum would respond. But the actions they chose to take certainly surprised Dad… in the best way possible.
