The Golden Gate Bridge, situated in the San Francisco Bay, is one of the most recognizable bridges in the world. With its bright red color, and its dazzling height, it’s only of the most iconic symbols of San Francisco. For decades, a ferry service was used to shuttle people from San Francisco across the bay to what is now Marin County. The trip would take 27 minutes one-way. This eventually led to the demand to build a bridge connecting the two areas of land. In 1916, a proposal finally took hold. The original quote of how much the bridge would cost was $100 million (equivalent to $2.8 billion in 2023. An offer went out to bridge engineers to see if anyone could do it for less. Engineer Joseph Strauss answered the call. There were many early proposed versions of how the bridge should be constructed. They eventually landed on the idea of a suspension-bridge. Construction finally began on January 5, 1933. It was even completed ahead of schedule and $1.3 million under budget (equivalent to $28.9 million today). The bridge construction was completed in just a few years and opened on May 27, 1937. It spans almost a mile in length and stands at a towering 746 feet tall. It is still used daily by San Francisco commuters and visitors alike and serves as a huge tourist attraction. Let’s take a look at the incredible process of building such a huge and iconic bridge. Most people would and do prefer those songs over the classic church hymns. Additionally, many churches completely ignore the hymns, opting to play and perform only Christian contemporary tunes. While those hymns may be hundreds of years old in some cases, they still say more and have much more feeling and meaning than any modern Christian praise and worship song. This is a stunner…. I don’t know how I’ve never seen this before, but I haven’t. And I’m guessing maybe neither have you. So the clip I’m about to show you is from October 2020, which would put it exactly one month BEFORE the infamous stolen election of 2020. Bernie Sanders goes on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show and tells him exactly what he expects will happen on election night, and it just so happens that he describes everything almost perfectly….as if he was reading a news report, not predicting the future. The only thing he left out was the Water Main break in Georgia, but he got all of the rest of it right…. He names the battleground states and then he says in all of those states at about 10:00pm it will look like Trump won.  Then we’ll all go to bed and a bunch of mail in ballots will be counted overnight and suddenly Biden will have won. Bernie Sanders: Jimmy, you raise an important point, and I hope the American people understand it, because this is something I worry about. My view is every vote must be counted. For reasons which I don’t have the time to get into tonight, you’re going to have a situation, I suspect, in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, other states, where they are going to be receiving huge amounts of mail-in ballots. And unlike states like Florida or Vermont, they’re not able, for bad reasons, to begin processing those ballots until — I don’t know — Election Day or maybe when the polls close. That means you’re going to have states dealing with perhaps millions of mail-in ballots. Here is my worry. What polls show, and what studies have shown is that, for whatever reason, Democrats are more likely to use mail-in ballots. Republicans are more likely to walk into polling booths on Election Day. It is likely that the first votes that will be counted will be those people who came in on Election Day, which will be Republican. And here is the fear — and I hope everybody hears it — it could well be — you know, I don’t know what’s going to happen — nobody does. But it could well be that, at 10:00 on election night, Trump is winning in Michigan, he’s winning in Pennsylvania, he’s winning in Wisconsin, and he gets on the television and he says, “Thank you, Americans, for re-electing me. It’s all over. Have a good day.” But then, the next day and the day following, all of those mail-in ballots start getting counted, and it turns out that Biden has won those states. At which point Trump says, “See? I told you the whole thing was fraudulent. I told you those mail-in ballots were crooked. And I got — you know, we’re not going to leave office.” So that is a worry that I and a lot of people have. So, the results — you know, we don’t know what’s happened. Jimmy Fallon: Sure. Bernie Sanders: Maybe the results will be known on election night. But people should be aware of that possibility. Jimmy Fallon: I know that you have been working with people running in Texas. Why is Texas important now? I feel like a lot of people are highlighting Texas. Bernie Sanders: I think that Texas may be — in many ways, Texas is the future of progressive politics in America. Historically, because there has been a lot of voter suppression, Texas is one of the states where their Republican state government has, for a long time, tried to make it as difficult as possible for people to vote. But you have folks over there — Beto O’Rourke and others are doing a great job registering people, getting people to vote. The bottom line is that if Texas becomes a blue state and a progressive state, as I think it can — it has a lot of young people. It has a lot of Latinos, a lot of African-Americans. It can become a progressive state. And if that happens, and if those 38 electoral votes go Democratic, then we’ve changed the face of American politics. Jimmy Fallon: Wow. I think that would be — that would be — I mean, are people predicting that? Or this is just your people? Bernie Sanders: There’s no question the trend is with us. What we don’t know is how it plays out this election. And to those people out there who say, “Oh, Texas is a conservative state” — trust me, it is not. You have some great, great progressive candidates who are running for office who stand a great chance to win, and the future is with progressive politics in Texas. Video footage shows a tire blowing out and bursting into flames on an American Airlines flight moments before takeoff. Captain Steven Markovich posted a YouTube video of the incident in Tampa. “AA Flight 590 Boeing 737-800 Tampa to Phoenix Explodes Tire Just Before Takeoff Runway 19R. WTSP reports: Data from FlightAware shows the plane was a Boeing 737-800 that was scheduled to depart around 7:30 a.m. Shortly after stopping, the tire burst into flames and first responder vehicles, known as Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) trucks, showed up. Four trucks initially reported to the scene, and the fire didn’t spread to any other part of the plane. “I don’t think the aircraft even realizes they caught on fire,” the man said in the video. “I’m sure they can’t see it.” “Yet ANOTHER Boeing has lost a tire during take off. Wheel Falls Off United Airlines Boeing Airplane Moments After Takeoff From the New York Post: Voices over the radio can be heard saying “Abort” and “We’ve got a blown tire” as a steady stream of smoke can be seen billowing out from the plane’s right landing gear. Other video footage shows airport firefighters extinguishing the flames. The American Airlines Flight 590 was set to take off from Tampa around 7:50 a.m. for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. Emergency responders were dispatched to the runway shortly before 8 a.m., Tampa International Airport spokesman CJ Johnson said. There were 174 passengers and six crew members aboard the plane at the time of the incident. Everyone was taken from the plane and bused to the terminal, American Airlines spokesman Alfredo Garduño said. Watch the full video:
