Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease expert at Walter Reed Medical Center, met with Dr. Kevin O’Connor, and two others at the White House residence clinic on Jan. 17, according to the records, which emerge as questions continue to swirl about the 81-year-old president’s mental health in the wake of his debate debacle last week with former President Trump. Dr. John E. Atwood, a cardiologist are Walter Reed, was also in the 5 P.M. meeting, the White House visitor logs show. The fourth person has not been identified in the logs from that day, when Biden was at the White House and hosted House and Senate leaders to press them for more Ukraine funding, according to his official schedule. Cannard is an authority on Parkinson’s who has worked at Walter Reed for nearly 20 years. Since 2012, he has served as the “neurology specialist supporting the White House Medical Unit,” according to his LinkedIn. His most recent paper was published in August 2023 in the journal Parkinsonism & Related Disorders, and focuses on the “early-stage” of the crippling disease. A Mexican national accused of murdering his own two children in a small Wisconsin town last week has been identified by police as an illegal immigrant.  Law enforcement arrested 29-year-old Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta last Friday over the killings and the stabbing of his wife in Abbotsford, which has a population of about 2,300. Police have not identified the victims.  Police say that he stabbed the children to death and attacked his wife while she was sleeping. Gomez Acosta faces two charges of first-degree intentional homicide and one charge of attempted homicide.  He is being held on $1 million bail. Colby-Abbotsford Police Department Police Chief Alex Bowman told Just the News that Gomez Acosta entered the U.S. on a six-month work permit but overstayed the legal amount of time he was allowed to work.  The stabbing attack happened early in the morning on July 5. Gomez Acosta’s wife called the police just before 2:00 a.m.  The Clark County Sheriff’s Department and the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department responded to the crime scene. They arrested Gomez Acosta at the home and told officers he had been attacked by “crazy guys,” according to police. Police said the suspect had self-inflicted stab wounds. His wife required surgery after being stabbed about 17 times, according to local reports. Authorities said that they have not yet determined a motive. Gomez Acosta had previously been arrested multiple times for driving while intoxicated or being impaired.  Chief Bowman told Just the News that ICE had become less active in the past four years.  “Prior to 2020, it was a lot easier to work with ICE and immigration and now their hands are tied on a lot of things,” he said. “I can tell you that even felons we’ve arrested for felony crimes and stuff, immigration still hasn’t come and gotten them.” CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “I used to see immigration [officials] all the time over here,” he said. “Now, I haven’t heard from ICE in four years. Comedian Andy Samberg explained his reasons for quitting the sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live” 12 years ago, citing issues with his physical and mental health. The 45-year-old “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor discussed what happened during an interview on Peacock’s “Hart to Heart.” “For me, it was like, I can’t actually endure it anymore. But I didn’t want to leave,” Samberg told host Kevin Hart. “Physically and emotionally, like I was falling apart in my life.” The comedian appeared on seven seasons of “SNL” between 2005 and 2012, participating in popular skits including “D*** in a Box” and “Natalie’s Rap.” “Physically, it was taking a heavy toll on me and I got to a place where I was like I hadn’t slept in seven years basically,” Samberg told Hart, per Variety. “We were writing stuff for the live show Tuesday night all night, the table read Wednesday, then being told now come up with a digital short so write all Thursday, all Thursday night, don’t sleep, get up, shoot Friday, edit all night Friday night and into Saturday, so it’s basically like four days a week you’re not sleeping, for seven years,” he continued. “So I just kinda fell apart physically.” The comedian went on to say being a cast member on “SNL” had similarities to being a professional athlete. “It’s this high pressure thing,” Samberg said. “Your adrenaline goes through the roof. You know, there’s parallels. You have to perform under pressure in front of people.” He admitted to being nervous about leaving despite having so many challenges with the work. “I had talked to [fellow ‘SNL’ star Amy] Poehler and other people that had already gone. I was like, once I go, when I have an idea, I can’t just do it,” he said. “The craziest thing about working there is once you get going, if you’re just in the shower and you have an idea that s— can be on television in three days, which is the most intoxicating feeling.” Samberg said it was even more of a challenge when the “SNL” producers didn’t want him to leave. “They told me straight up, ‘We prefer you would stay,’ and I was like, oh, that makes it harder,” he said. “But I just was like, I think to get back to a feeling of like mental and physical health, I have to do it.
